No, that's a lie. They're in fact instant, while kille queues take like 5 minutos. Considering that 95% of the forums are salty killer mains, i'd like an explanation for this lol.
It's always been the opposite for me.
Killer queues are instant, survivor queues take around 10 minutes. IDK if its the rank, im red. But it didnt use to be like that a few months ago :/
-
Killer:
- I always leave the hook immediately after hooking unless I hear someone following me while carrying the survivor, then I go after them
- I always go for the person who unhooked
- If I down a recently unhooked survivor I leave them on the ground
- I don't tunnel unless the survivor is being toxic
- If I hear someone doing a gen or cleansing while on a chase I let them continue unless there's one gen left and it's about to pop
- If they opened the door but are not leaving, I go to the opposite side of the map and wait for them to get tired of waiting
- If I see a player trying to be "friendly" so I give them the hatch or to farm, I ignore it and continue the game. I only give the hatch to people who deserve it.
- I dont camp unless zero kills during EGC
- I don't "no-no" the downed/hooked survivor unless they are being toxic
Survivor:
- I dont tbag to annoy the killer nor I'm toxic (flashlights). From time to time I do the exit gate tbag or to greet/thank other survivors
- I always try to go for the rescue unless Im on last hook or my gen is about to pop
- I never farm, If I dont have BT I won't unhook in terror radius
- I try to avoid other players if I can during a chase
- I always try to go for the rescue during end game or make sure other players make it
- I always try to heal after unhooking
- I don't sandbag nor block/trap players
- If I go into second stage during my first hook because survivors decided to start gens I may not care to rescue them

I have seen people sabo on Ormond. They should be able to be broken, I'll test this and get back to you.
It was definitely a glitch, I just found an Ormond offering and tested it again. It worked this time.
Thank u so much for your help <3

Thank you.
It could be a glitch, cause I searched and there's nothing about Ormond hooks not being able to be sabo'd.
I tried with 3 different hooks from all angles and never got the action to pop up, it was so weird.

It might be because the amount of people who play killer dropped because of the upcoming Ruin nerf. My survivor queue times have also increased. At the latest when the devs reworked more maps and buffed weaker killers this will probably get better again.
Cross plaform with MnK enabled on console would be a life saver for this game
-
Magine permanently breaking the hooks lol all players would use the perk and the killer will have to hook in the basement or slug them. That would be a terrible and unnecessary buff IMO.
Most of these don't even need a buff, and this comes from someone who plays survivor a lot.
-
Should I be glad they arent on Xbox yet?
-
Cause how dare they do stuff not very single person in the world agrees with. *insert upside down smiley face*
-
Done.
Have to add I thought giving mostly charms was kinda cheap of them and that's what made me question if I wanted it in the first place since they're kinda useless. I'm glad I'm seeing more skins this rift.
-
@FireHazard said:
Yes, the skins are still available for you to use once you unlock the specific Killer/Survivor that the skins are tied to.
Anything you buy for a Killer/Survivor is available to use once you unlock that specific character, of course you won't be able to use them UNTIL you unlock those characters... since it's their skin and it's tied to them exclusively.
But basically yes, you're fine to unlock these skins and expect them to still be usable in the future.
Thank you so much! <3
-
Damn that sucks... Thanks for the replies <3
-
So a killer who runs the new ruin won't be able to run pop? or well, they will HAVE to use pop as an alternative for ruin once it's cleansed?
-
I am one of the people who relies on ruin, but im down to try this change
I expect a lot of complaints once it's up and running tho because most people won't find it useful, especially lower levels where killers spend a lot of time chasing one person and used to rely on ruin to not get gen rushed, but it will probably work better for red rank killers.

You need to report in game and you can send the proof here http://support.deadbydaylight.com/

Ranks are not really an achievement thing, it's more-so to measure ones skill and put them in a bracket with equally skilled Survivors/Killers.
That's how the Rank system is supposed to work, if you're Red Rank... than you'll be paired with Red Rank (And sometimes Purple Ranked) Survivors and or Killers.
But yeah, if you wanted to get to Rank 1 for the achievement than it's sadly not available on Xbox i'm afraid, sorry.
Yeah, and that's still debatable. I don't consider myself a great survivor. Heck, I played against the plague 2 games ago and all red rank teammates cleansed over and over, we all died within minutes. I also got a few games in a row where they wouldnt rescue and would die first hook. Getting red ranks it's not that hard and rank does not equal skill IMO, but oh well.
Longer queue times here I come! lmao
Thanks again <3

Nope, from what i'm looking at... there is no Legendary Survivor achievement for Xbox.
There also isn't a Master or Expert Survivor achievement either... Same goes for Killer as well, no Legendary, Master, or Expert Killer achievements.
The list does say there is Secret Achievements... but if you didn't unlock a Secret Achievement with that name, than it isn't any of those Secret Achievements either, and I looked up another list as well that might reveal those Secret Achievement names, it's for sure none of those.
So yeah, there is no Rank 1, 5, or 10 achievements for Killer/Survivor on Xbox.

That is super disappointing!
What is the point of grinding for it then? awww I was super excited and the only reason I wanted rank 1 lol FML

Admit it, their "we don't want people dodging lobbies" rhetoric is just a BS cop out cover for "our matchmaking sucks, but you should be forced to deal with it until after your rank 20 team mates screw you over".
this so much!

I have an even better idea !
Fix the matchmaking. Would be more efficient uh ?
Agreed lol
-
That hasn't helped their matchmaking AT ALL. It's still awful. I see no difference from before it was removed and now. But maybe it's just me...
-
On console it's insane how long it takes to find a match, at least there almost no one would skip since it would take longer to find a new lobby lol
Unfortunatelly we still get a LOT of killers skipping lobbies, super frustrating to wait again after finally finding a match :(
-
I didn't want to buy it becuase charms weren't enough incentive for the grind. I ended up buying it because I was gonna buy 1000 cells to buy skins anyway, I had finished the rift so I thought I might as well buy it becuase I was gonna get the cells back and have extra stuff.
The only way I'd buy it again is if I finish it and if I need to buy more skins (or if the rift items are worth it, charms arent worth it IMO)
-
Have you tried to play as a red rank survivor? especially on console? it takes FOREVER to find a match, so lobby skipping is almost nonexistent for us, we just basically play what we get because we don't wanna sit and wait for the next lobby. So no, I don't want it back to skip those lower levels and wait 40 minutes to find a match,
-
@Mr_K said:
Admit it, you want it back for the reason it was taken away.
Not exactly, if I had known I was gonna play with 20 rank survivors I would've played differently, I wouldn've been more immersed and would try to help the newbies. Knowing those things can be a game changer.
-
I don't think Meg is hated, for me the hated one is Claudette.
I still don't know why people choose to play with Bill or David without iron will, those grunts can be heard from miles away!
-
It's not a terrible tactic. It's more frustrating when someone opens the gate right after someone gets hooked, the killer will likely camp the survivor and you are now on a timer to unhook them, escape and hope the killer doesnt have noed.
99-ing the gates gives you time to make sure everyone will escape, you just run to the door touch it and leave, without having to worry about the timer (which isn't really usually a problem, but some times it could be)
-
I play solo survivor 95% of the times. I was rank 2 and yesterday I almost deranked to 4 because I wouldn't get unhooked by the random teammates (no I wasn't doing anything to piss them off) I didn't want to use kindred because that had never happened before, I usually get unhooked almost immediately at red ranks, it was so frustrating.
-
Whoever has the most perks..
I'm maining Meg atm but I was maining Nea, when I prestige her Meg was the one with the better perks so I'm maining her. I'd say I prefer to play female characters overall.

It's not meant to be used every game. People run it because it's good at what it does, AND because it's a "safer than sorry" perk. (like Adrenaline and Borrowed Time).
If the killer doesn't tunnel, then yeah, it's a wasted perk slot, but still extremely powerful.
Yeah, every time I take it off because I haven't used it I get tunneled and wished I still had it.. But when I do have it, it goes to waste.. FML lmao

Actually, you can invite directly to a channel. The only requirement is having discord instal...wait, no, you can run it in a browser, lol
yes but still more steps than just clicking one button to accept a party invite.
but on this subject, I do agree that there should be lobby voice chat or a feature to ebable/disable it. I personally wouldn't use it, so I'd like a disable option, I dont want to hear my fellow Latin American's telenovelas in the background and the mom yelling and a kid crying in the background..

Discord is far superior in every way, anyway.
:)
that's besides the point.
While I do agree discord is a great tool.. I'll have to disaggre that is superior for this example. On console you just invite and join immediately, discord you have to actually look for the channel, join, look for the voice chat channel, ask to be dragged (if blocked), etc.. too much of a hassle vs an instant voice chat.
Console can have communication without the need of lobby voice chat, and you can pretty much chat with any other player if they want to.

Console doesn't have lobby voice chat. You'd have to quickly invite everyone and hope they join.
Yeah, but at least we have an option, PC has to be discord. People join voice chat if invited most of the time. That's the main exampleI use when people say to do something about SWF.. in console you don't need to actually have a group to SWF if you just invite randoms to parties every match..
I personally prefer to solo but there's always that option for us.
-
what do u guys think about pairing MoM with breakout? Maybe that would make sense? since you usually get hit while trying to use breakout on a carried survivor.
-
Yesterday in every single game, I would hit the killer with the pallet (before he crossed it) and he would magically appear on the other side of the pallet right next to me. The times I died because of this... :(

because most killers don't really tunnel anyways. If someone attacks you again 60 seconds later they probably didn't just follow you around, they left and went somewhere and moved around and just ran into you again before anyone else. No reason not to go after you again knowing DS is probably expired.
Yet you shouldn't be completely immune forever because you were the person they ran into again, maybe everyone else is good at hiding but you made some mistakes, no reason you should still be untouchable.
I just don't understand why I keep seeing so many DS nerf/changes topics. Is it really an issue?
Like I said, I rarely get to use mine and when I play as killer I rarely get DS'd... I had no idea it was a big deal. I'm a red rank, and I thought main complaints came from red-purple ranks. IDK maybe it's just my luck.
-
*laughs in console voice chat*
-
am I the only one that rarely gets to use it? The timer always goes out before the killer starts chasing me again. I have only used it when the killer actually tunnels but that rarely happens..

I'll redirect you to my post's title
"WILL WE EVER GET UPDATES THAT JUST ADD ANOTHER MAP FOR AN EXISTING REALM?"
So you just want an update that has a new map... and that's it? that's not much of an update, i'd consider it like adding a new character skin.

Now, we also shouldn't dismiss that some ridiculously coordinated SWF teams are just that - ridiculously coordinated and obviously the game isn't balanced for that...but 90% of SWF teams are just people playing and having fun with their friends. Worst case scenario, they told their friend where Ruin was, or if you were camping. Big deal, lol. Ruin never lasts long anyway, and a huge amount of people run Kindred regardless.
Again, agreed. The rare times i do SWF we are talking about other things, and will probably say "killer is gone you can unhook me" and that's it. People complaing about SWF like everyone got a SWAT-like plan going against the killer. Most of the times SWF don't even know what they are gonna do. I will dare to say that most of the talking is just complaining to each other when someone ######### up or fails to rescue them lol
-
We literally just got a map for an existing realm in the latest update..
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
Do you know how often, at red ranks, the killer in post-chat says "nice swf" or something similar when they lose? That's when the survivors are all solos a lot of the time. Sometimes I think crying SWF is more a justification for the loss rather than just accepting that sometimes, you just lose.
Agreed, I play on console and I will get at least one msg a week from a killer saying the only reason we won was because it was a SWF, when I'm a solo player.
SWF is an excuse for the killers at this point.
-
Are you guys seeing a lot of key escapes to even bring this up? in the past months I've only had one survivor leaving via hatch with a key. I have never seen the key as an OP item, at all. I don't minid if I see a survivor bringing one, I don't even care about them and would usually let them burn in the web or not use them. I rarely find myself thinking "I wish I had a key". But hey, maybe it's just me.

EGC kills me more times than the killer. Common scenario for me - last survivor, killer finds hatch before I do, killer proceeds to patrol exit gates since they are usually right next to each other.
I find a nice quiet place to die.
Literally me.
Last night was the first time in forever that the doors were opposite from each other. The killer patrolled the one that was right next to me and as soon as he left I managed to open it and escape. It felt like a great win since that hadn't happened to me in such a long time. Even as a killer the doors seem to spawn on the same wall or adjacent wall too oftenl

many survivors called me a camper in cases like this, idk why they think killer will leave a hook where 3 survivors is near
I always blame the other survivors for running the killer right next where I'm hooked. It's happened so many times that i'm hooked in the basement and this person is running from the killer in the killer shack, the others just stay around in case he goes somewhere else but don't dare coming because the running survivor keeps the killer in the shack... so annoying, just leave.

So I’ve devised a plan that can in no way fail.
No Mither, Decisive Strike, Dead Hard (and another random perk, probably Spine Chill so Stealth Killers don’t screw me, also I’ve become way too reliant and lazy because of it).
Wanna slug? Okay, No Mither time. Wanna tunnel? Okay, DS time. *Gets moried*
Slugging, unbreakable or no mither, DS tunneling, maybe include adrenaline for EGC and deliverance?

I dont understand why survivors get mad at tunneling, like just dont get caught xD
what a well thought reply im impressed, well done, exceptional communication skills... LMAO
Surviors are literally doing what they are supposed to do: doing gens, if the killer is not after them what are they supposed to do? just wait? there is literally nothing else for them to do unless someone is hooked. The killer can tunnel if he wants, thats what DS is for, or camp, still doesnt change the fact that while hes running after just one person, or camping one survivor instead of gen patroling/kicking/etc the gens are gonna get done. The killer sets the pace 100% and, unlike others, I accept when im doing a crappy job at killing them and gens get done, I dont blame "gen rushing" I blame myself that I took too long chasing them or focused on one survivor to even care about the rest of the survivors/gens. Gen rushing = bad killer, sorry.
-
I dont understand when people get mad about "gen rushing"
To me it's the killer's fault, even if I'm the one being "gen rushed" I honestly think it means I'm doing a terrible job at catching the surivors. I'm the one being slow and giving them time to finish the gens, and like someone said, doing gens is basically the only job survivors have. Saying survivors are gen rushing is just an excuse of doing a bad job at killing them, if you killed/hooked one person the gen repair slows down, if you kill 2 it slows down more and so on..
