  • How would you "stop" it?

I mentioned the cooldown due to the fact that you’d just be able to spam totems, just release it before it breaks and get back on it again.

If you’re SWF it would be make it very hard on the killer in my opinion.

They're just revealing their aura to each other. How would that make SWF better?

Also that 1 survivor is being "kindred" for all other survivors, while not doing anything.

And how is he OP exactly?

Either because of no awarness of the survivors that allow him to instadown

    OR

    no tr at moment notice.

That's whyy i think OP thinks he's op

  • @EuphoricBliss35 said:

It’s an interesting idea. You would need a cool down otherwise you wouldn’t have to break totems and you could just spam to find others

also, it’s okay for a perk to be situational. Not every new perk has to be meta

Wouldn't you just be able to use Bond at that point? Half range, all the time, from not specific location.

  • Hold your horses. Corrupted Purge is a very strong tool.

To buff base Plague we first would have to nerf Corrupteg Purge.

  • Why does it have a cooldown?

    Also why that massive cooldown?

  • Wow that's unique.

But that's a general totem buff you should be asking for.

  • Then, don't.

But if i understand correctly you'll still play?

Agreed and it wouldn’t be fair to killers. I go so many rounds without going down once. How is that fair to the killer who brings in an offering while we get to use ours?

And i don't agree moris shouldn't get changed.

But the problem is there isn't a way to nerf them without them being close to useless.

  • That's a bug.

  • Also you still can have a one use Dead Hard in your pocket

  • Hide in a locker, be in range, run distortion and (i think this still works) hide behind a gen

  • Im pretty sure you can change it to that in options?

  • I played her twice today (on Lery's my luck) and it didn't go that badly.

BUT i think Fragile Wheeze/Dark Cincture should be made base.

  • I dont mind it. It's actually the perfect place imo.

This guy is right tho. No exhaustion perks should benefit you while exhausted. They're one-time use per chase (or at least supposed to be)

But BL is a bit diffrent because it only works in a specific location on a map.

It should be weaker (like 50%) or change the maps to represent that

  • My only problem is:

There should be slightly more challenges for that 2 week gap

    Nice pun.

  • "Also, why do add-ons like Smiley Face Pin exist? They encourage you to play Legion badly. Replace them with something that's actually useful."

You mean the double tap? They did say they would want to change it to be whenever you hit someone while in FF

DbD is a team game whether you like it or not. If your team does bad everyone pays for it. Also, if your team is bad, have you considered ranking up? I don't have terrible teammates in red and purple ranks and when I do, I take what emblem points I can and try to go for a pip.

"Survive Together… Or Not - Survivors can either cooperate with the others or be selfish. Your chance of survival will vary depending on whether you work together as a team or if you go at it alone. Will you be able to outwit the Killer and escape their Killing Ground?"

From definition it's a teamgame that can turn into 1v1v1v1v1 in a blink of an eye

  • There are dedicated servers.

Geeez - you don’t get what I mean 🤦🏼‍♀️ never mind

I don't get what you mean... The OP clearly wants to buff this perk.

  • They did say with introduction of Dedicated you wouldn't be able to tell SWF or not apart.

  • It does punish the killers - you get less bloodpoints

  • You want a mori similiar to Trapper's?

    Excuse me what

dude, the game is maddeningly unbalanced for basically all survivors below rank 12

I whine about everything because all these things combined are total bs and i know most of them ( if not all of them) arent gonna be fixed

So i write about everything because im hoping theyll see one think i write and actually look into it. i dont expect (or honestly want) them to fix everything ive posted about because then the game would be unbalanced just in the other direction. but just one or two things i think would be nice

and thats because pallet stuns and window vaults are a small invonvinience that every killer can avoid and if they dont, then it slows their game by like what, 3 seconds? If youre trying to say that window vaults and pallet stuns, which can both be countered by a bunch of perks and sometimes actually turn them into traps for the survivor if youre using certain killers, are as strong as ruin and the doctor having like 8 skills in his basic kit, then you just dont want the game balanced; you just want it to stay tilted in your favor

and thats because pallet stuns and window vaults are a small invonvinience that every killer can avoid and if they dont, then it slows their game by like what, 3 seconds?

Small inconvience that can turn into major one ALL depending on how both of you interact in a chase.

  • So that probably means that if someone disconnected but you killed everyone else it would stil count.

  • In the grave

  • @MalEducado said:

Players play with object because we want chase ... And know if the killer is camping , it's simple

I don't understand your logic at all.

You use OoO to get chases correct? OoO still reveals your aura to the killer so he comes and brings the chase to you. I seriously don't see an issue. (atleast in that situation)

well the location reveal happens at tier 3

so if we can get survivors down to tier 0 again he would have to at least spend time finding and shocking them a bunch if he wants to get the reveals again

Nope. He would just have to be in Treatment Mode.

Reminder - Whenever you go to a diffrent Madness Tier you scream.

  • How is that diffrent than the old styptic?

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/798869#Comment_798869

Styptic only lasts for 8 seconds. So if you see a medkit disappear right before you hit them, just wait it out a few seconds to ensure you don't proc Styptic (but don't wait too long in case it ends up being Syringe).

Yeah, make those quick decisions when they do it right as you're going for the swing

  • Isnt it now a common tho?

  • @se05239 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/798120#Comment_798120

The Styptic got a buff. Endurance protects you from anything, even one-shots, which a full heal wouldn't do.

And you can still use styptic as before, just before you get hit. Thus resulting in the same outcome (if it wasn't a oneshot)

  • @TheNerdyRockstar

are you trying to tell me that behavior making decisive less usable across the board is comparable to killers, who are already at an advantage in basically every game, having a couple of perks that you may or may not get to use?

like sure if you have franklins and they use up an item, whatever. but most people dont use up items, they use it until theres one charge left and keep it to try to escape with it.

Yes. Yes it is. Also reminder, Franklin's gets rid of charges as well. If they try to keep an item with slither of charges remaining you actually can destroy their item

Plus, even if the killer has perks that arent getting used, he can still control the entire game by manipulating the mechanics, he can facecamp, slug, tunnel, etc.

if a survivor has perks that arent getting used, theyre f*kd (unless theyre like rank one and have the skill to play without the perks but this conversation isnt about those people its about average players)

Facecamp -> genrush, slug exists, tunnel oh look DS is here!

Also not all the time. Survivors perks are supposed to be a counter to whatever the killer is doing (or they give you more info) Like Unbreakable, Decisive, Alert.

alright so do you think it would be fair to at the very least keep new dstrike but take away the obsession element of it because it doesnt directly affect how the perk works? like it can make you the obsession after using it which most of the time is a punishment for fighting back which i think is bs

And at a certain point it just lets killers know youre probably running it and they can prepare for it/avoid it so it becomes pointless anyways

Last time i checked most obsession perks for the killer reward them for ignoring the heck out of you. (i said most because Rancor/Furtive Chase is an exception, Dark Devotion you are getting "slightly" ignored)

And no it doesnt. DS makes someone random be the obsession at the start of the trial. The killer has no clue if the person he just tunnelled has DS or not.

like sure lets say it was broken before (i dont think it was but hypothetically), its actually broken now because theres so many problems with it.

also like, you cannot tell me that you think Dstrike was more broken than ruin or franklins or nurses calling or noed like it works once in a match if you hit the difficult skill check. those other perks last (or at least CAN last) the entire match, or noed comes out of nowhere to be unfair right when youre about to escape.

Old DS was broken because it was OP. This DS is only slightly broken because it can be abused if used "incorrectly" (by what it's supposed to do now)

And yes, i do think DS was more broken than ruin ... franklins? You think franklins is broken? Anyways, Nurse's, NOED and Ruin have obvious counters:

Don't heal in Terror Radius, Destroy all totems beforehand (totem at the end), Power through ruin/destroy the totem.

DS had a "counter". Not always reliabe. And against non-obsession it didn't even work. And also yes. 4 second stun CAN make a huge diffrence (see how even now 5 second DS can make a game turn into your favor)

  • I seriously don't see how Tier 3 to Tier 0 would fix anything related for low ranks.

When you're back to tier 0 you would give Doctor a free location reveal. Which is something i think you don't want to happen?

Also i think Doctor is strong at low ranks because of his random skillchecks at tier 2 and 3.

  • If we added safe unhooks, MoM would have to have 4/5 token requirement.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

    Nope.

Despite outward appearance and some obvious exceptions, this is a horror game, where tension and stress is part of the experience. Creepypasta is rather solidly in the realm of joke fodder, especially Jeff-boi - if you're scared of creepypasta, you're too young to be playing this game.

Reminder that we're getting a elephant Clown costume (Soon™)

  • The issue was:

Nurse was able to get back to the chase after a hit way too fast.

That was changed with a introduction of 3 sec blink recharge, but that is way too punishing. Imo if it was 1,5 or 2 it would be good.

  • You don't realy have to go back to main menu. Use the button on the right while in surv/killer lobby.

Also Quick switch was removed because how survs lobby now works.

  • Only ridicolous change for me is Overcharge. Other seem neat.

(and im going to post this on every Surge post i find, if it isn't already on there) Make it so Surge doesn't have the basic attack requirement.

  • You're basically giving killers NOED but on 1 gen remaining (if the killer didnt do great - which is the reason most survs hate NOED already >.>)

That isn't a thing anymore. It's literally impossible to down anyone since multiple frenzy attacks don't drain the DW bar anymore.

Frank's mixtape does drain the DW bar, you're just better off being M1 killer than trying to down anyone with this (unless you have a specific build)

  • No. That makes that you HAVE to level up every killer to p3 to keep up.

  • < And I do, generally speaking. if 5 people played, all at basically the same skill level, with no items, add ons, or perks, I think that the killer would have a seriously good chance at getting 2 or more kills regardless of who they played unless the map [BAD WORD] them over like billy on lerys or something like that, but even still i think its super likely theyd get at least 2 kills because of the standard advantages killers have over survivors

Thats the average that should happen. 2 kills 2 escapes. Obviously that doesnt happen everygame but that is the "perfectly" balanced match if that happens.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

You do know that you can heal others with a medkit tool and not just use it to selfcare yourself, right?

A medkit that allows you to effectively have self care and botany knowledge on crack and yet could stack with Botany knowledge would be ridiculous.

Hell, I get happy when I'm Dying Light obsession, because I run Botany and Self Care, and I tell you -- being able to Selfcare myself at 116% healing speed or being able to heal others at 166% speed is ridiculous already. An infinite medkit would do more than that.

Even more hilarious when I stack We'll Make It on top of that and a Medkit for a near 300% speed healing boost.

So with Dying Light, you basically heal yourself at the normal speed?

    Neat.

  • I could agree with Closets. Getting denied the achievements because of a locker sucks.

the stuff the killers have that slow down survivors and stop them from getting stuff done/getting away is way stronger than what the surivors have to fight back with. like ya survivors can reveal the killers aura sometimes and speed up repairs

but revealing aura doesnt necessarily protect you if the killer is already near enough to you and knows their #########

and killers can slow down repairs just as much if not more than survivors can speed them up with perks alone

plus killers are just inherently stronger because of how the game is designed

    plus the buggy hitboxes

like D strike was fine before across the board

maybe it was broken at higher levels but again, the people at those levels are good enough to play around that. It was perfectly fine from like ranks 20-8ish because it did what it was supposed to do, but now it seems like it might as well not be there 80% of the time

Again, D-strike wasn't fine. Ranks 10-1 could hit ds pretty consistently and without much counterplay.... yeah. (again if there wasn't a hook nearby or one person blocked you were screwed) Also how DS was fine at ranks 20-10... It was a tremendously difficult skillcheck that most of these ranks would miss always or most of the time. That looks productive but for killer, not for survs.

That's why you have Distortion, lockers, "baiting", Urban Evasion/Fixated. All these protect or confuse the killer when they see your aura. It's your decision on how to use those.

And that's the point. There is 1 killer, 4 survivors. It should be obvious that 1 person (in this case killer) perks should be stronger in asymmetrical game against 4 people (survivors)

Hitboxes, yes they are buggy. But i wouldn't say ALL killers are stronger than survivors, unless survivors allow them to be strong.

  • This seems slightly flawed (suciding on hook and dying on hook)

How does the game know you're suiciding? Maybe they were trying to 4% (ik stupid they probably were but still)

What if i wanted to give my other survivor friend hatch? Would i just lose points because of that?

How much struggling would be required for it to not remove any points?
