Ur also sounding like the type of survivor who would just run as far as possible and hold w, because if ur not looping what are you doing?

Gens! That's what I'm doing since these so called 'problematic killers' are the ones that I actually like facing because I can't just hold shift + W and press space to throw a pallet like 90% of the killer. I would rather deal with a killer that makes me actually use my brain rather than mindlessly looping

There is no Deatgslinger counterplay. You can't mindgame a Slinger. If he misses, he misses. You didn't do anything, he just missed. And your accusation is false, as Nurse, the only killer in the game that can't be looped, is easily one of the most fun killers to verse if the player has good ping.

I also have fun vs Spirit because she can't be looped, but everybody hates her because they are so use to having information so that they can mindlessly counter the killer, but me being a Spirit main my counterplay against her comes from knowing how she thinks and trying not to fall be predictable!

"There is no Deathslinger counterplay. You can't mindgame a Slinger. If he misses, he misses." Have you ever thought about the fact that some killer's just aren't meant to be 1v1'd? The best thing you can do is just hope that he makes a mistake. just like how 90% of the killer roaster has to rely on survivor's making a mistake to win the chase. As I said, Caleb's counterplay mostly depends on positioning and LoS blocking. IF your out in the open your f'd, if your at a jungle gym than there is a high chance that you'll be able to keep him occupied long enough for your team to get a gen done!

hey you there what are your thoughts on the twins would you like to see a buff/nerf or a other concept for the killer

i find her/him pretty fun to play but the baby should in my opinion have a little less speed but he also should have a heartbeat (around 16m) and buff the baby by making him be able to open lockers and down the survivor or injurd them if they are healthy and i think you should see the baby whenever he is latchet on a survivor this is just my opinion what are your thoughts?

I feel that no matter how many buffs they give them, the twins will be weak!

They lack map pressure! Granted Victor is the map pressure, but you don't want to get into or initiate chases with Victor, not only that Victor is easily punished and he takes too long to pounce!

I really dont feel any excitement about the new DLC. Its "eh whatever.. can we please focus on the game quality now instead of quantity? We have enought DLCs already"

Just my 2 cents. Am I alone?

I haven't been excited about content since Oni!

Slinger was a good idea but I hate playing ranged characters!

PH is just Doctor but with a physical Shock Therapy that can attack!

After playing Blight for 24hrs I feel that he needs some tweaks for my own satisfaction but even if those tweaks did happen, I wouldn't like Blight!

Twins aren't my cup of tea! Twins are just a 115 Huntress!

I just wish the devs would focus on have health instead of worrying about getting money

  • As a killer main, I don't have a problem with Dr. Carter, he's only problematic when you have teammates that can't hit madness skills and spend 30-45% of the match doing everything

  • @Kebek said:

I love facing slinger as doing my best to make him miss with different ways to predict his thinking is one of the most fun things in DBD for me.

It's just about different taste in killers you face, if you hate facing him you'll keep on hate facing him. I for example can't stand or have almost any fun from chases when facing trapper and hag. I despise both but I play out my games against them and sometimes they are a few bright moments among all the despair I get from facing them.

Argument that you can't do anything vs him is so dumb, you can't beat any killer if they use their power 100% correctly without making any wrong prediction or mindgame. Bad killers plague DBD so finding godly slinger is as rare as finding godly nurse who is far more uncounterable then slinger is.

I feel that survivor players like us are rare due to the fact that we enjoy the challenge of killers that make us play differently and consider our options and or make us use our brain!

  • I actually enjoy playing against Slinger, I feel that his counterplay comes from positioning rather than mindlessly holding Shift + W and playing Ring Around The Rosie with a pallet!

    People that say this

    @DetailedDetriment said:

No. Deathslinger is easily one of the most boring killers to play against, sitting next to Freddy and Spirit.

Are the type of survivors that got so use to mindlessly looping, they refuse to use their brain against killers that makes them play differently!

  • Unmindgameable loops, and survivors that don't make mistakes or fall for mindgamedls is why I main Spirit, and like going against these so called problematic killers!

  • @NomiNomad said:

In my opinion, Oppression is probably the Twins' best perk. Coup De Grace looks like a lot of fun, and Hoarder seems to be a meme perk and not much more, but they're not amazing. I feel like Oppression is going to have a lot of potential late game when a few survivors are dead, and in general I think it has some great synergy with some existing perks (even if I do feel the cooldown is a bit kuxh

The problem with Oppression imo is the 80 second cooldown! The perk needs a cooldown, but 80s is too long!

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

Nope. I main Dweet because I love his character and appearance. I couldn't care less what perks are associated with any character. I doubt most players do. I mean some of the most popular characters are associated with rubbish perks e.g. Huntress, Steve etc.

Are you sure it not because your in love with Dwight?

  • Laurie and David simply because they possess the most annoying perks in the game!

  • @freddymybae said:

i mostly play freddy and some times blight but freddy gets so much salt from players especially from low ranks 1-10 for me its the doctor that really bugs me but at the end i still wont cry to the killer for using a annoying killer he isnt op or anything

For me it varies! Overall it's Foctor for me, I and I feel that I don't hate Doctor because of his kit, but because of teammates

  • I prefer solo simply because it doesn't make survivor feel brain dead easy

  • @Raz_ said:

    BOND is godlike for soloQ.

you get a lot of informations, especially when you can run a killer for a long time to not disturb people on gens. i love it. there are better perks but i love that perk.

Bond is a great solo perk, though the reason why I run it is so that when I'm getting chased I don't lead the killer to teammates that are on gens because when I do that it makes me feel bad when the killer leaves me to try to get an easier target!

  • @chieften333 said:

As the title asks, you have a 4 second stun on a non-lethal power, while you watch survivors run away. On top of that when you slap someone it takes away from your power meter.

To me the 4 second stun is absolutely horrendous to play with on a power that does so little. Plus deep wounds is a joke of a status effect, and their entire power is based around it.

As compared to blight who only suffers a 2.5 second stun on a power that can actually down survivors.

    Anyone else feel this way?

I don't play Legion as much because the are stressful af to play due to them but really having a power!

The fact that a successful M1 drains their power makes no sense to me! The 4s stun doesn't bother me really, due to the fact that I'm a retired Nurse main and he fatigue is worse than Legions!

I personally think Legion needs a total rework, but we all know the devs idea of a rework

  • I'm a solo survivor and most killers tend to tunnel when survivors are either being toxic or if it's to gain the advantage!

Not every killer tunnels, either blame being tunneled on your lack of skill, or blame it on your teammates sandbagging you

  • As a survivor 3 out of 10

As a killer maybe 8 out of 10

I really need to put more effort and energy into survivor, I just can't bring myself too because of how mindless and boring survivor is!

  • 2) I strongly agree with this. I firmly believe that it's a product of poor killer design! Most of the red rank killer's I have played against are killer's that anti loop well, or killer's that are hard to counter

    3) I hate to say this, but as a Spirit main their is a way to fight Spirit but the thing is, she can adapt to how your countering her! Spirit is a product of what's wrong with looping! Survivor's don't like guessing and not being able to do something so they just have to hope that she makes a mistake, this is exactly how it feels to play 90% of the killer roaster which why I believe something needs to be done about it!

    7) I haven't mastered all of these things and I don't mean to rain on your parade but they reason why I believe that the community seems to calling looping, etc, unskillful is due to the lack of effort it takes compared to what is that killer's have to do!

  • @[Deleted User] said:

If The Spirit bug recieved positive feedback, then why would they fix it?

Perhaps they decide to bring it back again later maybe. Who knows?

Because Spirit wasn't intended to have any kind of tell tell when she's in phasing while inside of her Terror Radius! As A Spirit main she needs a rework from the ground up, but the way her kit currently is, theirs no way to nerf her without defeating the purpose of her power!

From my survivor perspective I think she's fine simply because I'm not mindlessly just looping her and actually have to use my brain and think from her perspective to outplay her

  • Nurse and Spirit for sure because they make me use my brain instead of mindlessly looping like 90% of the killer roaster!

Bone clapper Wraith as well because he be catching me off guard sometimes

  • @lazerlight said:

Literally most of the recognized dbd streamers have commented on how Spirit, Nurse, PH, and DS have little to no counterplay, and Freddy's power does everything for him. Phase with Spirit, you win, blink with Nurse, you win, fake your shots with DS, you win, fake your Punishment, you win, (the recent change did nothing to him, he can still M1 immediately after cancelling his Trails, or at least right after just tapping M2). Freddy can fake his entire bar of the teleport and teleport again after 4 seconds.

It's not just Scott that's been vocal about these killers. People who keep defending these Killers saying that they're "okay" literally just want easy downs because they're easily bullied when playing as other killers. Once bhvr addresses gen rushing, these Killers and their powers will actually need to be addressed because no one is gonna be able to escape against them if gen accessibility was actually balanced.

Everyone and their mother knows that those are the most problematic killers (and even Hag) because every time you see the threads with "what if there was a Killer ban feature" everyone, even the mods, jump up saying how "that's just gonna make people ban Spirit, Freddy, PH, and DS." ................because maybe... there's a reason for that.

With this change I was actually able to last way longer against two different red ranked Spirits. This "bug" was the best thing she's ever gotten. And what do they do? They add it to her description, just to remove it as a bug... cooldowns and charge times are there for a reason... idk why they've been giving killers shorter and even non-existent cooldowns... and people defend it...

"People who keep defending these Killers saying that they're "okay" literally just want easy downs because they're easily bullied when playing as other killers."

Far from the truth brother/sister! One of the few reason's why I main and defend Spirit is because it doesn't matter what situation you put her in, she can do something about it!

For example: Blood Lodge has a bunch of unmindgamable loops! Killer's such as Phillip, Mikey, and Pig literally can't do anything about that but hold W until the survivor drops the pallet and than it's on to the next few unmindgameable pallets in the center area of the map!

Now you put Spirit in that situation and she can actually do something about it instead of holding W and hoping survivor's make a mistake! Speaking of mistakes Spirit is also a killer that DOESN'T HAVE TO CAPITALIZE ON SURVIVOR'S MISTAKES

"With this change I was actually able to last way longer against two different red ranked Spirits. This "bug" was the best thing she's ever gotten."

And the pot calls the kettle black!

Maybe 1 out of the 10 most recent games I've played, has the killer approached the exit gate. Even then, it was only with like 15 seconds left on the timer.

Why don't survivors leave when the killer doesn't give them the exit gate attention they crave?

  • @Tricks said:

    Nurse is fine because /high_skill_ceiling.exe

Play her for a month non stop minimum and you might have an idea about what I'm talking about.

Probably will need a month or two on top of that tbh.

    @OmegaXII said:

Why don't you play nurse for a while?

To be honest nurse was the killer i mained before the nerf. And after that, she's literally unplayable. That cooldown is very annoying, and kills all the joy playing as her. Not to mention game-breaking bugs, and all the troubles you need to get through to be somehow decent at her.

If you actually read the post where I said "P.S." I said that I'm a retired Nurse main

  • @MadLordJack said:

I was actually having a lot of fun with this. It was so useful to trick survivors into being where I wanted them to be, and it actually gave some much-needed information to make playing against her slightly more bearable. It was nice to pretend she was actually nerfed in between Slinger practice, and it was nice to hope that maybe the Devs were listening...

But then again, one of her loading screen tooltips is to do the stand-still "mindgame" where you outplay people by letting go of your controls and grabbing a drink.

I'm actually glad that the bug went away because it made Spirit way too damn brain dead to evade and counter!

I just don't see how you guys find being spoon feed counterplay "fun" or "interactive". Almost like playing a FPS game and having wall hacks to see where enemies are and what guns they have!

Well Scott Jund is a killer main and he thinks its a good thing.

And Otz and scott seem to both agree that spirit needs more counterplay. (and its not only them)

So its more like instead of "almost everybody" its more like 'people with empathy'

The sound bug made her brain dead boring to play against! While I agree that Spirit needs to be reworked (and I'm a Spirit main), you can't nerf her kit without defeating the purpose of it!

  • @Impermanent said:

Christ almighty. Every other... no every 2 out of 3 games is this goddamned broken build. If the devs aren't going to fix it, how about you killers admit that it makes the game easy as goddamned hell and stop running it. I started equipping Small Game to hunt the totems down but it still doesn't help since the aura feature brings the killer to me and I end up getting stopped. Add Tinkerer or an Ebony Mori... this is just more freebie killer fun at survivor expense. When will you devs wake the F up.

At least Ruin and Undying has a counter and cannot be denied counterplay unlike DH for distance, jumping in a locker with DS, UB with DS!

If you want something about Ruin and Undying nerfed

    1. Look in the mirror

    2. Play killer to understand why it's used so much

  • Overall I want survivor to feel more skillful and not mindless! The fact that I can go to a pallet and run around it against 90% of the killer roaster bores me!

  • @DwightFairfield said:

I've been playing this game for about 2 1/2 years now, I've been through highs and lows throughout the game and I've noticed that killer mains and survivor mains tend to argue about the same things; overpowered perks, maps being role sided, loops, infinites, etc. etc. But nothing is ever done about these things, and the things that are done have downsides and are commonly abuseable, leaving nothing ultimately changed.

I think that, as a community, if we were to come together and push the developers to make changes that both sides can agree on, then the game will become more fun and ultimately have a larger community/lifespan.

All the constant arguing between sides shows nothing except that the community is unwelcoming and in a constant state of division, but if we came together we could make Dead by Daylight and ultimately better game.

The community will always be like that until everybody plays both sides!

But if everybody plays both sides there will be mutual understanding, but disagreements at the same time! Us vs them will always exist in this game, simply because it's human nature!

  • I think that Phasmophobia excels well in the horror category than DBD, but even when phasmophobia gets a pvp i won't be anywhere near as competing with DBD

  • Gotta put respect on this gf for not playing sweaty

  • Yeah! Not gonna work! I'm not sexually attracted to women, and Dwight is the only character in the game I am sexually attracted to!

  • While I play both sides! I firmly believe that you will always favor one side over the other!

    Killer!

Why? I sense more skill in killer, more interactive, and it isn't as boring and brain dead as survivor!

  • As a killer main, one of your objectives should be to keep survivor's off of gens! Undying can help Ruin stay up longer and not only that it can encourage survivor's to stay off gens to cleanse the other totems!

I don't see Surge having the same value as Undying can especially the fact that Surge has a unnecessary CD!

His power is already in a great spot.

The only thing he needs is an addon rework.

    That's it

Be careful what you wish for! Because addon rework means changing the killer's base kit as well *looks at Nurse*

How is that a good thing to keep? It nullifies the purpose of her power.

While I agree with you as a Spirit main, she can play around this bug! Just let survivor's do their thing in relying on information and not skill and using their brain to outplay her!

  • @Mushy_Peas said:

Inb4 all the NOED, DS, BT etc comments. No. Nobody likes you.

As the title says, what perk makes you cringe, weep, or cry when you see your fellow Survivors or Killers using?

For me, as a Survivor, it's Spine Chill. As soon as it lights up, they just stop what they're doing and move, usually off a gen or a heal. This alone unnecessarily makes the action take longer than it needs to when the killer isn't actually coming after us. ALSO, since it makes skill checks 10% more likely to appear, they usually move right as they get one, and thus FAIL IT, and alert the killer to where we both are, when they normally wouldn't have known.

That happens a LOT. Not even kidding.

As for Killer, I's go with Unrelenting. The people who use it keep missing attacks, but not because of 360s or anything; they attack too early, and thus aren't close enough to hit. So they could replace Unrelenting with walking forward for an extra half a second. Literally.

It makes me want to cry.

But what about you? Got any pet peeve perks you hate seeing fellow Surv/Killers running?

Remember to be civil and respectful in your complaints. The Law is watching.

NOED simply because of how I see the perk as a killer main

  • @Impermanent said:

Can anyone explain why this is perk should be in the game? Now 3 games in a row (solo play) where I work my butt off, make great plays, saves, runs, get the gens done, only to be one hit with NOED at the end and left to die by my solo teammates. All this perk does is reward the killer with cheap kills at endgame. Its a perk that admits defeat in not being able to prevent the gens from completion before the game is started. It's a perk that, at its worst, I have seen turn a 0k into a 4k. It lets weak killers take out great survivors - flat out end their game and prevent escape - because its one hit at the end of the game with little chance of being saved.

I know the arguments... "do all the totems" or "Play an swf". Neither of those are realistic every game. Many of us have to do a lot of soloing and if I spend all game finding all 5 totems (even with small game) its detrimental to the team and my score and my game experience frankly. This shouldn't be a find the 5 totems game. It should be a do a bit of everything game.

The point is its a cheap garbage perk that should not be in the game. It's ill conceived trash that needs to go.

NOED is easy to deal with! As a solo survivor I don't get triggered if NOED pops up!

I don't do totems unless I come across them as I'm playing (or if we are notified of Decor Hope), if NOED pops up, if I don't come across that totem as I'm heading to the exit gates I'm leaving!

It's in the survivors hands to eliminate totems, their optional objectives! Instead of getting tilted about the perk, just get out of the match

  • Yeah this is a sign that I need to upload the video!

Though it's a bug it really doesn't change anything about Spirit except that she needs to play smarter! While survivor's can now feed off information from her so they can "Mindlessly" counter her this bug isn't that big of a problem!

  • @DerpyPlayz said:

Really simple, pretty much what the title is.

I am of course assuming we only take account of the majority of the player base and not single players claiming whatever thing to be listened too.

What do you think would be the result of the game in todays terms?

If your talking about balance! The game would probably die for the newer players!

Blizzard decided to listen to their Overwatch League player's to bring balance to the game! While at the top ranks the game was balanced, it was way unbalanced for the casual player's!

While somethings need to be addressed about the balance of the game, for example DS and NOED

  • @Triforcer said:

I've played virtually 100% killer for the last year, and just started getting back into (solo) survivor.

I simply can't believe how relaxing it is. If I escape, I feel great every single time. If I don't, I can blame my teammates. Any time I escape the killer, or can lead them on a semi-long chase, I feel like I've accomplished something. To clarify, I am a TERRIBLE survivor and still get caught often, but I can still smile afterward if I did even one small thing right.

As a killer, I'm constantly filled with rage (even on 4Ks). There is constant stress and a constant ticking clock as gens blow left and right. All mistakes are 100% my fault, and I'm trolled again and again by god loopers.

The last few days have been like a tropical vacation after a grim, thankless killer workload. Killer mains, I highly recommend this as restorative therapy if you are in the same position as me.

While the community agree's as a whole, most killer main's don't enjoy survivor because of how boring it is

  • @MusicNerd_TC said:

It was confirmed in the dev Q&A that dead hard is getting changed at 36:57.

Hopefully this perk will be made more fair and fun to play against than it is now.

Other perks include: Iron maiden, fixated, lucky break, gearhead, and blood echo.

DH needed to be addressed! Not because of hold Shift+W and press E to avoid taking a hit, but because survivors would deny the killer counterplay and use it to get somewhere safe.

My killer main dudye says that DH shouldn't exist due to the fact that killers have to capitalize on survivors mistakes and DH corrects a mistake!

My survivor side really doesn't care because after I stopped using the perk, I realized that all it did was cover up for my lack skill and helped me hide instead of learning from my mistakes!

Because pyramid head can go faster than survivors when charging his ranged attack. General rule of thumb with a killer is that if they have a ranged or speed attack, they should be slower than survivors whilst charging it.

But what's the difference? If your in range of a Shred and Demo charges, you either get Shredded as you vault/throw pallet or you juke and Demo M1 lunges and gets the hit!

  • I'm about to shot demo mains, but!

Demo can do the same thing, why is it a problem with PH but not Demo? Am I going Malakis or 🤷‍♂️

Every game has a death eventually. So what do you think will do in dbd? Could it be that the games problems aren't fixed quickly enough and people decide enough is enough? Or maybe people get bored of the asymmetrical horror genre. A new game could come by and swipe dbd fans away. Dbd might just fade out like any other game. Etc.

(I just want to know your guy's ideas for why dbd will eventually fall just like any other game, so don't start clowning (pun intended) on the devs. I hear that the mods can smell negativity a mile away.)

Besides the basic greed and devs ignorance, if that doesn't cause the death of this game, than I believe that the death of the killer community will be the death of this game!

Granted the survivor community is bigger than the killer community, but killer is still too damn stressful to play!

    iconAddon_wakizashiSaya.png

Meet Wakizashi Saya! This addon helps Spirit maintain her phasing movement speed after coming out! She can use this bonus speed to come out of phasing early and close the gap and it will definitely giver her enough time to react to anything survivor's do if she comes out early enough!

So I’m not asking for a complete rework, as I love this perk how it is and I think it’s very underrated. The problem I have is with how inconsistent the skill checks are. I can go all game without getting any tokens as I just won’t get skill checks when healing people and then I’ll go to the next extreme and get 3 tokens off of one heal.

Will this perk ever get the the stage where you are guaranteed to get at LEAST one skill check per heal? Because as it stands there’s other healing perks (Botany Knowledge, We’ll Make It) that can be activated a lot easier.

So I did a perk study on this perk and this was one of the things that I said would make the perk better! Imo though I would say make the regressing skill checks appear more frequently because last night when I was playing survivor I could not get past the first skillcheck for like 9 trials and I healed about 12 teammates!

The perk is underrated but I think it need to have a increased chance of trigger skill checks

While I know a lot of people may not care I still want to put out my feelings and opinions on something. After months of stressful and boring gameplay I am officially leaving the game and possibly the forums until some change happens, if it ever does. On the killer side I find games too stressful to try and even play for fun I have to sweat constantly a lot. On survivor I find it too boring with it being a loading screen simulator. If they fix the major issues at some point I will possibly come back, but with how the developers seem to work I don’t see that happening. So after two years this is my goodbye to all of y’all and may things get better for those that remain to play before it becomes too late. Goodbye 🥺🥺

This is why I'm trying not to take another break from this game! The more brakes I take, the harder it becomes for me to comeback to this game because ik that BHVR isn't going to do anything about the games health!

  • The only problem with Adept achievements is on Killer side! The fact that killer's have to double pip, plus the pip system at higher ranks being completely dumb!
