Ruin and Undying: Can be clensed or you can be powered through!
DS: only counter play is to slug, which is countered by UB which allows you to get off the the ground with plenty of DS time left!

That can only be activated with a BASIC ATTACK and on top of that has RANGE REQUIREMENT.
Still doesn't justify a HEX PERK having a COOLDOWN
It's like putting a token cooldown on Devour Hope! 2 people hooked in the basement, and you only get one token because the token gain cooldown last 60s

...Hex: Blood Favor.
It is safe to assume everyone will run PS and Flip Flop to try their best to get downed at a pallet. Let's say the killer has this hex perk and blocked the pallet on down. Now the dying survivor has no pressure to make the killer hesitate to pick them up out of fear of other lingering survivors, and at the same time, not be able to recover.
Then there's the killer hoping his/her totem isn't cleansed in the first 10 seconds of a trial.

I'm just questioning why Blood Favor is a HEX PERK with a COOLDOWN

And again someone who says "Just use Iron Will". Stridor exists and I rarely see Spirits without Stridor, which renders Iron Will useless. And while Spirit knows all the time where the Survivor is (also because of Stridor), the Survivor has no information at all.
Wasn't Stridor ment to counter IW?
"Survivor has no information" I'm sorry but, isn't that what survivor's do to other killer's? Leaving the killer to guess just about almost everything and making killer's take a 50/50 gamble in mindgaming?

i main Nurse and i believe that spirit is like Nurse easy mode: she's almost mindless to play, therefore i hate her. As to counterplay, there simply isnt: a spirit with a good headset WILL hear you even with IW, especially if she has stridor.
Imagine calling a killer that takes half the skill of Nurse mindless because the headphones are doing the killing!
Not every Spirit use's Stridor! I for one don't and majority Spirit's I've played against don't use Stridor

Nurse has proper counter play, a high skill floor and a high skill ceiling and she's fun to play against (For most people)
Spirit barely has any notable counter play aside from rush gens, a low skill floor to pick up and most people do not have fun playing against her because she can AFK to mind game.
There are plenty of tactics to play around a Nurse from your movement to line of sighting and reading her blinks by paying attention to how long she charges blink as well as what direction she is facing. She takes a while to pick up properly and an even longer time to master. However the rush of outplaying a Nurse is amazing.
With Spirit the most basic stuff everyone hates about the killer is at the lowest skill level of play for her. You can sit still to mind game, there's no tell when she is phasing and most of the time it's a guessing game for the survivor because even audio wise you can't really tell pin point where she is. However Spirit can track you perfectly if they listen. The only true counter to this is Iron Will and a few other stealth perks and those are countered by things like Stridor. Since Spirit is so strong it doesn't exactly hurt her sacrificing a perk slot to constantly have a counter to one of her only counters. She's also really good at chase, patrolling the map and denying areas.
If anyone has the suggestion of "Just do gens" to counter a killer then the killer is broken. Every killer should have some sort of small counter to their power that needs to be thought out to properly perform and in fact most killers do. Spirit does not unless you like gambling away your life. At the moment the only true counter I can think of with Spirit is camp a pallet at a long loop and hope the spirit guesses the wrong side or abuse a semi infinite window. Pretty much map RNG is the only thing that is going to determine if a spirit will do well or not and I'd like to see someone prove me wrong on that when it's good spirit vs good survivors.
So this is why I say that Spirit flips the script on survivor's! You said "it's a guessing game for the survivor" but yet 90% of killer gameplay is guessing and hoping so here's my question!
"WHY IS IT OK FOR KILLER'S TO GUESS AND HOPE, BUT IT'S NOT OK FOR SURVIVOR'S TO GUESS AND HOPE?"
Survivor's get spoonfed all the information they need in a chase to counter a killer! For example, if Wraith is at a mindgameable loop he flicks his camera and moonwalks 'HOPING' that the survivor makes the wrong read which makes it a 50/50 for him so that he can get the hit! But when he flicks his camera back around he can see that no matter what he does the survivor can just wait around the corner peaking for either his physical body or Red Stain, but this is fine!
But Spirit can stand still at a loop (which BHVR designed her to do btw) making it 50/50 for the survivor to determine weather they should go back towards her or not and 'HOPING' that they made the right call. But somehow this a problem!
I don't get it. I play survivor too and I enjoy playing against Spirit because she's not Shift + W and occasionally look backwards counterplay killer. Idk I guess I'm more focused on the fact that the game is 1v4 and not 1v1

I love this game but I also wish the devs would go through on perks without giving them such harsh downsides. Whether that be by adding long cool downs, tokens, or requirements to be met. So I figured it be cool to ask you guys if you could pick one non meta perk and buff it. What would you change?
I would buff Distortion.
You can now gain tokens During the trial. Every time you successfully escape the killer you gain a token. Distortion starts with 3 tokens and has a max limit of 5 tokens.
I wouldn't necessarily say buff them! The problem is that these perks aren't given chances because of playstyles! Because chases are the most fun thing for survivor's second chance perks have become meta so they can continue that fun, or whatever!
But to add on to the topic a perk that I love using, but I think buffing or tweaking it would break the perk is Autodidact! If I was to do anything about this perk I would make it to where every time you heal a teammate you get at least 1 skill check!
I will literally spend a whole match saving and healing teammates and not even get the regression skill checks! But at the same time if you tweak that you could break the perk!
-
The ones that camp and prevent you from literally trying to improve your gameplay!
If I had to choose a killer, it is mostly Dr. Carter, I need to get better at trying to loop and dodge his M2
-
Old MoM was busted and punished killers with only 1 weapon! I feel that PTB MoM was fine, but current MoM was over nerfed imo
-
Marry: Daddy Dwight
Kiss: Quentin
Kill: David
-
Sp Tinkerer's cooldown is literally the duration it is active and the how long the perk is idol (however it's spelled) until A gen reaches the limit to trigger!

Blight, Pyramid Head, and most of the DLC survivor's!

I've been seeing a lot of killer mains posting their annoyance about the lack of bloodlust this weekend and I only have one thing to say about that:
If you are experiencing survivors escaping more often this weekend and feel no bloodlust is the issue, you're finally seeing the skill-gap those particular survivors have compared to you.
Bloodlust is the equivalent of throwing GTA V's catch-up feature from races into a proper Forza race. It's a subtle crutch that gives killers an edge they wouldn't normally have, even when they're already faster.
If a survivor is getting away more, then they are ultimately outplaying you. There will always be small outliers, but claiming bloodlust is the difference maker is not a reasonable excuse.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
I hardly ever bloddlust and if I do, I'm legit 3 steps from being in lunge radios!

Spirit! No matter what situation you put her in she cam do something about it and unlike most killer's she doesn't have to depend on survivor's making a mistake!
Over all I love that Spirit loses all sight of survivor's and has to rely on hearing! Mother-Daughter Ring is one of my favorite add-ons because it makes her feel challenging and if survivor's complain about that, that's their fault since that add-on literally gives survivor's an advantage over her
-
Camaraderie is a good perk, it's just it's not enough! I think killer's need more anti camping perks!
BBQ encourages you to get the other survivors by revealing aura's
MYC encourages you to leave the hook so that it's easier to down the rescuer!
Devour Hope encourages you to leave the loop for Tokens to get exposed status and eventually mori survivor's!
I just feel that their isn't enough encouragement on the killer side to not camp
-
The problem lies within you relying too much on bloodlust rather than trying to mindgame!

Ever heard of the perk Spine Chill? It's literally THE counter against Spirit and powerful against every killer.
Are you aware of the fact that Spirit can play around Spine Chill?
-
If your in TR you won't hear phasing! But sounds are broken for Spirit right now, can't even hear footsteps while in phasing, if survivor's don't have IW they aren't making any sounds unless you have Stridor (which makes her too easy to use)

Watching Chris and Trager die was so damn satisfying!

So he really don't like his boss and kept a piece so what. Still how many lives does he save by killing the boss? Any ones guess just cuz he has a unique weapon don't change my opinion on the matter.
2 wrongs don't make a right. Yeah sure he might have stopped other people from getting killed, but what if the Entity didn't snatch Phillip up?
Look at Kenneth (Clown)? He ran away from town because one of his victims got away, while he was in the circus he didn't commit any murders for awhile but he started right back up again.

No! If you increase gen times, you screw over solo survivors.

Lets not forget wraith thought he was just crushing cars. When he found out his boss was putting bodies in them he killed his boss and disappeared or cloaked as you would. Never killed an innocent.
Phillip did start out innocent, but he got consumed by blind rage and killed his boss! The fact that his weapon is his bosses spine and skull, I would say that is an intent to kill therefore making him murderous!

I really don't have enough experience against Blight, but if I was to fit an opinion about him, I hate him due to the fact that I
- I get dumb teammates that farm
- I get a soft camping Blight
This is my temporary Blight opinion, I'm sure it'll change once I get more expirence vs Blight

I don't understand why the entity picked her to kill ppl.. Every killer had the desire to kill someone in his previous life but the Plague seems to be the unique killer without a back-story of hate toward someone/or bestial homicides
Not every killer had the desire to kill!
Evan MacMillan (Trapper) - Was only doing his father's bidding until The Entity snatched him up made him kill
Sally Smithson (Nurse) - Was corrupted and brainwashed into killing all 50 patients by the Entity
Lisa Sherwood (Hag) - Did what she had to do to survive
Susie (Legion) - The most innocent one in the gang who was peer pressured into killing
-
I have mixed feelings about BT!
As a killer the perk doesn't bother me, one bit!
As a survivor I despise the perk, because a lot of survivors use the perk as a pitiful excuse not to take the killers agro. When I used BT I would take a hit than get the rescue, or get the rescue and throw myself at the killer to keep their attention so that my teammate doesn't get tunneled!
While I like the idea the only problem is that the perk would be countered by soft camping (if thats how you define camping were killers keep their TR away from the hook

Currently with the time crunch meta we have going on, the game moves very quickly. Most of the time too quickly, this issue is made worse by poor map balancing, as well as perk balancing. Which can prevent the killer from securing downs in a timely manner.
If they decide to go through with removing bloodlust, the length of chases will be extended. Thus making it even harder for the killer to secure downs that would stall the game.
If map balance, perk balance, and overall game time weren't an issue. Then bloodlust could be safely removed. But as of now it is a required mechanic.
I don't think the removal of Bloodlust is that big of a deal!
High rank/Veteran killers don't depend on or hardly bloodlust! I see where your coming from but I believe this is the devs taking a step towards problem that need to be addressed

No Joke why are the devs don't bring good perks for survivor Out.
There are 15 or even more perks for Killer that are Meta. But survivor only have 5 maybe 6.
In which Chapter will the Devs finally brings good perks... I say end 2022
The devs are trying, the problem lies within the fact that survivor has evolved to revolve around the 1v1, therefore the survivor meta is has do with perks about 2nd chance! If the 1v1 mindset changed then other perks could have a chance to be meta!
Same thing for killer, if you give survivors more objectives so gens don't go by fast, than the killer meta wouldn't be about slow down perks
-
I don't think this is going to be a problem! As a killer main I rarely Bloodlust, but it'll also give newer killers, or a killer that depends on Bloodlust to learn when to give up a chase or to break a pallet since the loop is insanely strong with the pallet down!

Sure, it most likely means I lose, but it instills this awesome, tense, desperate hopelessness into the endgame that I really dig. The game instantly becomes so much more tense. And if I manage to escape, the feeling is unreal.
And yes, when I play Killer I use NOED, but I only started using it recently and I'm too nice to really use it. I played a round on the Game where they stomped me but I got 3 downs in Endgame. I felt bad, opened the gates and carried them to the exit.
As a killer main, I cannot stand using NOED due to the fact that it doesn't feel rewarding to me!
As a survivor I love dealing with NOED because it makes weigh my options and save determine if the risk is worth it!

Autohaven: Wreckers Yard
McMillan Estate: Coal Tower
These are the most balanced maps (imo at least)

Nurse, Clown, and Oni because their mori's either are or in the their backstory

They need to lock survivors as well! Getting tired of the last minute switch say they can bring a key, and than get mad and DC because they're being tunneled!

Not really. Let alone that Enduring affected DS in a way that it was absolutely laughable to use, the Devs also changed it so that they can create Perks with Stuns without having to worry about Enduring. (Same reason why they nerfed Balanced Landing, but I can also say that "BL was butchered because of Killers!"...)
Like, Power Struggle would not have been possible with old Enduring, since it would affect the Stun of the Survivor getting free, which means that if the Survivor and Killer are on the same side of the Pallet, the Survivor would be down right again.
So either Power Struggle would have never existed OR it would have gotten some extra seconds of Stun on the Killer to compensate for a potential Enduring, which would make the Stun even longer for Killers who dont use it.
Enduring is still a really useful Perk, even tho Killers tend to put as much Slowdown as possible, since you dont have to play that well if you stack Slowdown as much as possible.
I wouldn't necessarily say that killers are the blame for BL nerf, I blame the BL nerf on the devs for poor map design. Haddonfield alone is a problem within itself!
I see what your getting at though, old Enduring is a double edged sword
-
@Zani22 said:
Man I was looking real forward to when power struggle was coming my ass was ready prepping the end fury ready so I could laugh evilly as those that think they would have escaped instead meet the cold floor again with a even harder hit of the fact that they wasted the pallet now.
But then I was informed enduring actually only affects "normal pallet stuns not saves or power struggle" sure spirit fury still works but that's not the point.
The perk litteraly says affects all pallet stuns by 50% no fineprint saying saves do not count. Like if is this is intended why does its description not reflect that. Why must you make me suffer
Maybe I am overreacting but how would you react im actually curious and main question is should enduring actually affect all pallet stuns or at the least have its description reflect its true nature?.
Enduring was butchered because of survivors!
1. Survivor were complaining that they weren't getting enough breathing space after DS because enduring reduced stun time
2. Enduring countered Head-On
Don't mean to start a us vs them war, but this is the exact reason why Enduring was nerfed

- Lies
- Also another lie, James is the most OP killer in the game
- That's your opinion
- Facts!
- I'll agree to disagree
Unpopular Opinion: This game becomes more fun if you actually mange to change up your build rather work with the same build! I stopped running second chance perks as a survivor and I'm having way more fun and improving my gameplay! I'm still trying to learn Huntress at basekit with no perks or add-ons, it's a bit of a challenge but it helps me understand Huntress a little bit better

Might be coming back from my prescribed mental health break from DBD. Was thinking of trying oni, as the title asks, is he really underrated? Or is he overhyped?
As a player that main's his grand-daughter, Oni isn't underrated! He had a bug that practically chased all of his players away and since than no one really plays him as much! As a killer main Kazan Yamaoka tends to get a bit boring because once you enter Yamaoka's Wrath, it's pretty much game over after the first down you get and you just get more and more pressure and next thing you know your ending chases before you start them!
Edit: I'm not saying Oni is a boring, I'm saying that just keeping constant pressure on survivor's because your doing so well in chases tends to ruin the killer vibe!

edit was red before long ago but stopped playing
Survivor meta is all about second chances which to me is only fair against Nurse and Spirit, but the other killer's it's not!
I remember when I was only maybe 20hrs into dbd watching a Monto video! I had said to myself "One of these days I will reach rank 1 killer and at least rank 4 survivor!" If I could go back in time I would tell myself to stay at the lower ranks for the memes and the fun since high rank killer gameplay is still stressful and not very fun!
