  • Nice rant. Yes people are "deluded". Yes, they exxagerate. Yes your stragedie isn't the kindest. Yes, they would do the same. Yes, it is a game and you are welcomed to ignore everyone.

    Have a nice day. :D

  • It's because of the upcoming changes in bloodweb prices. Until then the daily rewards are doubled and this little reward. Every one got it.

  • @Nazzzak said:

Smart. And good selfcontrol. I can't keep bloodpoints for too long.

Oh then you´re lucky. Yesterday i played 20 something matches as solo aaaand i had only 2 "normal" matches, where no one gave up early.

What i mean with the killer reaction is, that in the past survivors complained when killers were afk or farming. Asking for temp bans for killers that did that. I wonder if something like this could happen again. If survivors would be grateful for the change or if they would complain about it.

I know, it's probably the time and region I'm playing in ^^. Yes, I think this will repeat, because ... well, humans you know? Again, my own oppinion is very subjectiv, but I think there'll always be people complaining in a "game-sabotaging-way", when things don't go like they would want them to, but they'll still be a minority.

  • @Tsulan said:

I also don´t think that the devs are XXX sided. However, i think that they react to the tantrums survivors threw since the patch released. Since almost every match contained someone suiciding or giving up early.

I´m curious how the killers will react to this. If they start to let everyone go, and if so. How survivors would react to this.

Hey, I saw you on the other thread too ;). Those "Tantrumps" are more a minority, if you ask me. Could be server related, but I witness, maybe one or two disconnects in ten matches, which is honestly not more then before.

Anyway, about your question, I think the matching reaction would be killers also disconnecting, as a dc is used to deny the other side something. Letting everybody go would be quite the opposite to that. The killer doesn't have any opportunities to "suicide", as he can't control wether a match ends early or not, when he thinks he doesn't has a chance. A surv suiciding on hook has a direct way of dying in a matter of seconds.

That nerf nothing has changed , Boon still stronger and 50 % still fast.

They made survivor can destroy hex totem , but killer need one perk slots to destroy boon.

    Shattered hope.

You can snuff it, it also takes up a perk of a survivor, it is a stationary medkit. What do you want? Did you also got salty about the old selfcare? Because that was worse.

  • @Cameragosha said:

Your description of the perk is outdated.

    Bildschirmfoto 2022-08-24 um 09.06.27.png

    It has become more balanced.

  • It has permanent aura reading ability, no countdown, but a lower range and no setup is needed. I think it is kinda balanced as it is.

Blendett + Key + Blood Amber + Clairvoyance + Hiding all game.

Excuse me sir, ill do you one better. Key + Clairvoyance + Spinechill + inner healing + now hide all game. Just to be safe in unpleasent situations.

  • There are other perks, that activate, when you are the last survivor, like left behind. The problem with these perks is that they "reward" being the last survivor, which is a bit controversial in a coop game. But that's also a problem overall. Like how you get more bloodpoints for escaping, even if you let your whole team die in the trial. This perk will be perfect for selfish players.

  • That's a really good idea. The best one I've heard so far. I agree with you.

  • Yep, that's called paywall. And it is probably intendet. Well, the economy is at fault here.

  • @Mat_Sella said:

So then people slug and the game will be even less fun than it already is.

Why give survivors an advantage with infinite hook timers when I can slug all 4 knowing they will bleed out?

Slugging is already possible. Technically it is faster than hooks. So the question is, why are you not doing it already?

  • @SuzuKR said:

The entire reason hooks have timed states is to generate pressure.

A killer running around, because he's definetly not camping does not generate pressure?

  • @Seraphor said:

You have a 61% facecamping rate?

Out of four survivors you get facecamped nearly three times as much as you should?

I'd say you're the problem here. The role of survivor is to survive. Stop getting yourself caught and hooked.

I hope this is sarcasm ... right?

I use this build due to the dominant survivor playstyle that has always existed in solo queues. When 1 survivor is hooked, 3 other survivors run towards the hook for rescue points. You are probably one of them. If survivors changed their playstyles then mine would change too.

If everybody played like you, then no generators would get finished and survivors would die every game, due to the large amount of time wasting and nobody repairing. Which is what is observably happening. This is also why I see multiple rage threads by you. You're failing to adapt.

Your minimalist thinking about stragedies, also your own subjective expiriences in this game plus your name in this forum indicates that you are not really in a good position to argue the way you do, but you're aslo probably deaf to any kind of criticism.

Just imagine an actual Pinhead Bot spawning! Also with Sadakos tapes. Take it to the trial, put it into a TV, tadah! Sadako bot crawling out. This would be so cool.

  • I would agree, before the last weekend I had the same opinion, but I came to realise that sometimes (sometimes!) the carried survivor gets more time, as the killer becomes slower, while trying to look away, so the survivor actually escapes.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

If all solo survivors starts to use this build, you will no longer win 50%+ of your games. It is not about your build, it is just you are selfish player. With this way, ofcourse you can win most of games.

    Exactly this.

Some of the challenges really do encourage throwing games but your examples aren’t great. Chasing and healing (others and yourself) are easily achieved by just playing the game normally.

Yeah, like the "open three chests in one trial" one. That ones a bit disturbing to gameflow in my eyes X_X

  • Can I please lose in peace? Some people lose, some people win and anyone who pays actual attantion to the threads knows that people are complaining on both sides. That is not a secret. I'm not quite sure what the objective is. Complaining louder, until they are in the right? For my own bloody sake, it is a GAME. With devs. And they said multiple times, they try to keep it balanced. And no, put the red thread and pins away. Developers of a game do their job to be able to buy bread. Maybe they are a bit slow at times, probably uncoordinated, but show me a company where it's not the case.

What I'm trying to say. Keep it calm and maybe play another game for sometime. Breaks are kinda important.

  • I'm afraid to ask, but I didn't kept track. How did the old one worked?

  • I Agree. Have a nice day.

  • I'm so surprised that a mere philosophical sentence can start this variaty of discussions, that are going on. Respect OP 0w0

  • Nope. Tome and Level progression is "important" to me, but at the end of the day it is a game. Nothing more, nothing less.

  • against. More my fault though, I'm always panicing around them and throw the game by accident.

  • Happy Birthday, hope you had a lot of flans and nice meme 👍

  • Yep, I can only add to the answers that were already givin. I'm having a lot of fun and (unironically) as a solo queue Survivor main. All the issues that people talk about seem a bit bit petty to me. That been said, everyone has different expiriences and maybe I have just a long lasting pile of luck. But the "problems" with solo queue I encounter are always things, that could be explained by "humans make mistakes. Thats normal" and overall I don't take the game too seriously. Winning or loosing gives me a certain amount of bloodpoint, I make progress, the rest doesn't really matter. And the Rift missions are entertaining (mostly). ^^

But it's not. PC players can get filters and change their screen resolution whenever they like. Console players have to adjust their screens, turns off lights, shut curtains, etc.

If the player had to fix it themselves, it's dumb.

They can, but most of them don't do it. I don't even have courtains. I go through the same pain. Because it works as it is supposed to. It's night on the most maps, and surprise, your vision is affected by the darkness. There are also maps with daylight, like our beloved cornfield. Any issues there? No? Yeah, that makes sense imo.

  • I know what you mean, I feel with you, but it is part of the game that you (almost) can't see anything.

I mean, I give up on hook all the time. If a killer tunnels out my friend at 4 gens? Why should I stay in the game and keep playing when the whole point I booted up the game was to play with them... What if someone DC's at 5 gens? should I really stay in the game and play a 3v1 cause someone DC'd? What if its trickster? Should I stay in a game and play against him... I think not...

You should see those games as opportunities. You know, there is a saying. "You only learn from loses, never from wins". Sure, that's very simplified, but it serves my point. Try out stuff. Help your teammates, who are still alive. My gosh, earn bloodpoint, if the other things are not motivating enough.

And about the friend thing. He could watch you and the others, helping you. At least that's what I do. Much more fun imo.

I think we are overusing the word t-bag.

There's no chat, communication is limited. I almost want to make a separate post for this.

At the beginning of the round, if I see another survivor we both double tap crouch, it's like saying "hello". This even goes for reunited, double tap to acknowledge their presence"

Spam crouches afterdoing gen, "woot woot!"

Double tap after heals means "thank you".

Spamming crouch to get a heal usually means "please please please please please please, pleaaaaaaaaase"

Spamming croush while someone is cleansing a totem, "Let me boon dat shiz, my friend!"

    Crouch to killer:

Quick pump single crouch, "Come get me" usually in a playful way like a cat or dog ready for a chase.

long crouches, "Noooo please don't kill me"

    spamming crouches "hahaha, yeah boy"

On your teammates face after a mori, or in dying state:

    "t-bagging"

Perfect dictionary. We need those printed. 👍️

You do know the reason, why're you asking? Because only losers do give up early.. And to be honest, those people should stay away from social networks and online games aswell.

If you do care about the quality of your team mates, do play SWF; Sure, it may be a pain to search for the optimal team or group of players, but you can do it. The fact that you're excusing yourself for your own mistakes kinda puts you into the same category as those, who do Self-Care in the corner of the map. As always, neither me or you can claim that it's a bad strategy, as it's dependable on the situation you're in.

Unless you do present a clear case scenario, I'm ready to argue as to why using Self-Care is a good strategy when it comes to Solo Queue; Of course, I don't like using the perk alone, I'd always pick Botany Knowledge when I'm at it.. Maybe even Desperate Measures.

While "Losers" is a strong word, I agree. You know what this game is about, you know the situations you can get into, still people get overly salty. I'm going to say it, it is just a game. Giving up everytime you face "hardships" in a digital setting is like refusing candy, because you don't like the color. It's a question of mindset.

  • I played on saturday, almost the whole evening. All of my games were fine and I had fun. I think I may escaped in one or two matches.

-- a survivor main (who sincerely tries to play killer more)

  • Looks. Then the lore. Then some hysteric thoughts about if they "match" my personality / me. Then it really depends on what I want more, a chocloate croissant or digital goods I can play with. Overall an exhausting, philosophical and unnecessary progress.

Games should not be influenced. Its what the devs want to include at the end of the dat

"It should not be influenced". You are right. The same is "what people are shouldn't matter, as in fact they are human", in terms of same equality of everyone. The sad reallity is that the second one is not a thing yet. That's why people are crying out for help, because that's what we do, when we are afraid, etc.. And the media (e.g. games) is a reflection of peoples minds. So, yeah. In the end it is influenced by fear.

On a side note, if every char of a game would be male (as an example), without a proper explanation, people would also be pretty pissed. It's simply the same for LGBTQ Characters, they're just not seen as normal yet. The snake bites its own tail.

  • Well, I poorly discribed what I meant, my bad. It's about the appearance. I'd like to see some black leather and chains. That's why I said Punk/Metal Fan. Somewhat like Trickster, but as a survivor.

  • About the name thing, in german he is called "Dredsche", the very german way to wright "edge", but quite silly so thats hilarious in its own way. But I misread it as "Dreschde". It would be pronounced somewhat like "Dresh-de" and thats my nickname for him ^^

  • Would love that! I got to say, that a little more love to the designs of the male survivors is needed anyway. While the females are pretty diverse in their appearance the dudes look almost the same, with a few exceptions. And colored hair would be a nice thing in general.

In another post somebody mentioned that a punk or metal fan would be nice too.

How would bots replacing disconnected players be any worse than having no player at all any of those respects? Why would survivors complain more about killers playing “unfairly” when a bot replaces a disconnected player versus when the player isn’t replaced? Also why would this “mess with MMR” more than the current system where the player isn’t replaced?

People didn't understand what I meant. I thought of it as, when the waiting queue gets too long a bot will just spawn into the lobby. Not when a disconnect happens. So it would probably get treated similiar to a disconnect of a player. Which would lead to disconnects. "Oh no, we have a bot in our game, that s#cks. Well, here comes the penalty for a DC." It would basically mess with the mmr of a killer. Would the kill of a bot count? Are the bots a real match against a killer? The balancing would be difficult. Of course it can be done. But it will be likely to be done poorly, because a human comes with errors.

Also something messing less with something else is not better in it's core and wont bring solutions.

  • They take them from the corpses they find. 0.0

Or Amazon, as previously mentioned. Wouldn't be surprised if the entity is in charge of that shady buisness ^^

  • A lot of people already said it, I'm delighted, that bots are coming for costum game mode. For testing and training it's a good thing and I for one will also play in that mode, so I can relax a bit. ^^ No grudges, toxicity, etc. Sounds nice to me. A bot in an actual match? Oh god no. The disconnects, "It was unfair, the killer did not respect our disadventage", bugs and so on. Would also mess with the MMR of both sides.

But, yeah overall I'm excited when the bots come out, at the end of the year.

  • True, I recently even saw a Huntress and a Trickster working on a gen like there was no tomorrow. I wished they'd be more like the clown. At least takes his time and enjoyes it. smh

  • Ha, that's why she sits in the corner, doing nothing. She couldn't help even if she wanted XD. "Claudette, heal me! You have knoledge about the plants!" "Oh .. eh ... sure. Here, that Flower suits your hair."

  • That's ... not very logical to be honest. And it would require more generators on maps, which would require bigger maps, which would require better to buff killers, so it doesn't take them 5 min minutes to get from one end to enother and that would be the point were surv mains start again with "meh, killer is op." The circle of DBD.
