Or maybe when the survivor DO actually cleanse the totem the killer shouldn’t DC like a crybaby.SnakeSound222 said:Because they don’t want to lose access to one of their perks? If you’re having trouble with Ruin skillchecks, then you need to get good. Simple as that. -
Ha. Find parts, have you played Rank 20? Nobody knows what to do and everybody dies easily. It’s why I hate rank reset because it is hard to even rank back up due to your teammates. Honestly Ruin is all the killer SHOULD need to slow down the game. I get it, gen rushing is a thing but not everybody that plays the game is at Rank 1 and some people just like to have a good time playing. Gens already take forever to complete solo.jazzyjackson said:I would classify myself as a survivor main, but I'm dabbling more into killer to open my eyes to the other half of the game. I remember when Myers first came out, the game was illegitimately terrifying. He was picked by every killer for what seemed a month until survivors got their ######### together. Ever since then I've been had that same feeling of terror beside a good chase or last minute escape. From my recent matches as killer I do notice I find myself more on edge, but this comes from hoping I don't get gen rushed.
The dev's just need to create some element in order to change the meta of the game. Generators need to take longer or require something else in order to fix them completely. Maybe find some parts around the map or something. Just anything to extend the game. My average game is about 10 mins if the killer doesn't already have ruin and add 3 minutes if they have it. Compare this to many other multiplayer games and something doesn't feel right.

Of course. The survivors are painfully slow so you cannot keep up a chase for too long unless you go for loops. All the killer has to do is follow the scratch marks and you finished. Either scratch marks need to disappear quicker in a chase or not appear at all. Although I’m not sure of the reaction of killer mains, even I as a survivor main think that is a pretty big nerf to killers tracking abilities but something has to be done to balance chases. More LOS breaking and stealth for survivors, basically more opportunities to break off a chase and killers have to deal with less loops and “infinities”.darktrix said:@Jack11803 said:
add WAY more line of sight breakers. Do some other stuff. Shrink killer hitbox. Basically, survivors are TOO WEAK at losing the killer, but TOO STRONG at distracting himThis - even against a moderately competent killer with scratch marks and survivor painfully slow speed, losing a killer is tough. Thus they go to looping - cause if you cannot give them the slip, you may as well cost them time. Need less loops, more LOS breaking opportunities.

You must’ve been against some OP SWF groups with four salty lips. I’ve been playing regularly since March and I think I’ve kobed maybe six times. All I’m saying that if you managed to pull off a 4% then you should be rewarded if the killer happens to patrol/camp you.MegaWaffle said:@MegMain98 said:

So let’s say that you are being facecamped by Leatherface’s chainsaw or you are the last one left for dead. If you manage to pull of a 4% unhook, do you guys think that if you have the perk borrowed time it should affect your character if you unhook yourself? It would counter the facecamping Leatherface’s and give yourself a chance of escape if you are the last one left. Wouldn’t be a common occurence however since it is only a 4% chance.
You were hooked by the killer, who most certainly worked hard, why should the fact that you got a 4%, essentially ruining his work of hooking you, also give you a "free hit" perk? It seems unfair that 4% even exist let alone to add a perk effect to it. I know people will most likely argue that 4% is rare but with how many killer games I use to play I've had way more then feels right. It doesn't make sense that along with DS that can negate all your chase of that person that that same survivor can then potentially save themselves.
I don't believe 4% should exist but its something we have to deal with anyway.
Seriously? It is a FOUR PERCENT. You HAVE to have some way of survival if your teammates are idiots. Why are you complaining about something that rarely happens in the first place? I was only suggesting for the possibility of insidious killers or Leatherfaces who rev up their chainsaw and face-camp. It’s not a game breaking suggestion. It is super rare to kobe without offerings anyways, it’s infurating to get yourself off the hook and just be knocked back down again.
Don't think you read everything I wrote mate.

Not ALL of them are bad. The only ones that I could understand are Laurie and Feng (maybe Nea). Meg and Claudette are among the more tolerable ones. Kate in the PTB was pretty bad. Jake’s whining and David’s scream are among the most annoying ones. The male ones aren’t bad either, just Jake’s bitchy whiney and David’s scream.Doom_Punk said:All the females.
The males I don't have issues with. The volume is tolerable and they aren't really annoying sound effects.

Still doesn’t change the fact that people are going to use whatever perks they want regardless if you think they are a crutch or not. It’s a video game and people want to win and if DS helps them then they’ll use it plain and simple and just because some stranger on the internet claims they are a bad player because of it, does it really affect them? No. You HAVE to adapt to killer or survivor builds to turn the game into your favor. Problems lie in chases lasting to long due to loops and survivor HAVING to loop because rarely can you lose the killer. Survivors should be slightly stealthier than they are currently. Unless you are Claudette with a dark green shirt then you’ll never lose the killer but you can loop for five gens while he tunnels you. It’s a fact. Killers should be stronger in a chase while survivors should be sneakier. Complaining about perks is useless as that isn’t the MAIN issue especially a perk that has a one time use.Dabrownman1812 said:

Sprint burst is sprint burst, but the time loss and effort put in just to get dstriked is really not in the killers favor. Survivors are way stronger than most killers. They are aura reading. If you have to know where the survivors are on the map then it is a crutch, point blank and the period. It gives you a CLEAR indication of where they are and without it you may not have found them. I’m not saying anyone who uses it is a bad player (like people claim with decisive strike) but I’m saying that if you really have to have an aura reading perk or add on it is a crutch. Sure, time isn’t on the killers side and you sometimes HAVE to use aura reading perks/add ons to get a 4K, still doesn’t take away the fact that it is a crutch.Dabrownman1812 said:

I don’t LIKE playing killer. Never been good at it. Not because of the so called “crutch perks” that survivors use, just because I’m never good at killing. Wasn’t great at Jason on F13, not the greatest on DBD. Why play killer when I’m better at survivor? Doesn’t make sense. -

I also went for the Evil Incarnate trophy...while it wasn’t the survivors that were salty, it me who was salty. So three people legit FED me my evil and I mori three of them. People get used to the mechanics of the game and the fear factor goes away. It’s human nature and that goes for MOST survival horror games. After the 50th time dying on Alien Isolation the alien because more of an annoyance. When you get hooked and farmed by Jake and the Doctor tunnels you it isn’t scary anymore. Why would it be? It’s an annoyance. The ONLY scary parts of the game are Myers and sometimes the Hag’s traps, other than that...if you are used to the game, why would you be scared? Every survival horror game fades in being scary after playing for hours on end.

Most of them have the same movement speed at 115% but when chased the Wraith and Leatherface seem to be trackstars. They are super fast. Michael in TIER III is fast as well but it’s just because he has a super long lunge. Clown seems fast but it’s just because he is THICK so he seems faster than he should be. Slowest for sure is Nurse and Hag. Michael in TIER I is also slower as well.

Jake for sure. His whining is annoying as hell. Kate in the PTB was awful as well. Laurie is somebody I switch between pretty frequently so I’m used to it, she isn’t bad...her struggling sound and when she drops a pallet I think are pretty funny. Same with Nea.

Relatively new compared to some people? Yes. Been playing since the end of March. I’m not an experienced killer but I have of course ran into trolls and had bad rounds. Do I blame perks however? No, it revolves around CHASES which are highly unbalanced. Loops, hitboxes (ESPECIALLY The Huntress hatchets), among other things are the unbalanced parts. Perks are not really the issues as the issues lies in chases. No need to be an ass to somebody who has a different opinion than you.Dabrownman1812 said:

If the player using DS acts toxic, don’t assume everybody who runs DS is a toxic player.First of all, the reason us Killers use BBQ and Nurse's is because we're going to find Survivors anyway, and it just gives a head start on the hunt. Besides, it's REWARDING US for DOING OUR JOB. You have to earn that hook to get the reveal and stackable Bloodpoint bonus of BBQ. What does Decisive reward you for? Getting caught, most likely after a few loops. The point is, there's nothing you have to do to be able to use Decisive. It rewards the Survivor and punishes the Killer for DOING THEIR JOB. It's a crutch, a get out of jail free card. Is there a downside to using Decisive? Well, the only thing you could consider being a downside is the fact that you're injured when you gracefully hop off of the Killer's shoulder. On the other hand, Nurse's is used to punish Survivors for healing within the Killer's Terror Radius, and if Wraith is invisible, or Pig is crouching, then it punishes you for healing in a generally unsafe spot, or is used to catch Survivors off guard, which IS THE POINT behind abilities that remove the Terror Radius of a Killer. To catch Survivors off guard. which is a different type of playstyle. What does Decisive do? Give you a free get out of jail card, and you get to keep running. The only real way to counter Decisive is with Enduring, but even then, depending on where you're at, you might still have to go through a loop or two. And how the actual hell is Brutal a crutch? You damage pallets, and now generators, 20% faster. Where's the problem for Survivors in that? Oh, what's that? You get around... 3/4 less of a second to run from the Killer? Damn, what a trash Killer, using a crutch. They should nerf it ASAP. Hell to the no. Breaking pallets 20% faster is only a small buff for Killers, because in the end, breaking a pallet is a 2 second barrier between the Survivor and the Killer, and breaking pallets should be a fast-paced choice, where you weigh out the consequences and benefits of choosing to do it. Brutal Strength relieves some of the pain of choosing to break a pallet. Simple as that. So now, let's review:
Point 1 - BBQ is not a crutch. You have to perform a key action to be rewarded with extra currency and the location of your targets. Half of the benefits of the perk are not even involved during the trial.
Point 2 - A Nurse's Calling is used to catch and punish Survivors for healing within your Terror Radius, and if you're playing stealth by having no Terror Radius, you're merely using a different playstyle.
Point 3 - Brutal Strength is not a crutch and is not as popular of a meta perk as BBQ and Nurse's, and even Make Your Choice. It relieves some of the pain when breaking pallets and generators. Simple as that. Nothing game-breaking or overpowered.
No point in calling these perks crutch as they lead to things that are going to happen eventually in a trial, and you actually have to DO SOMETHING to get rewarded. Decisive requires the Killer to do their job, and get PUNISHED for it. So, if you keep looping, it's just making it harder for the Killer when they actually do catch you.
-
Well if you were to actual read through the entire thread, on MULTIPLE occasions I did say that I was wrong when I said brutal strength is a crutch. It’s just that aura reading perks/add-ons give away survivors, yet killers complain about the loops but what else are survivors supposed to do? Lay down and die? If I got Trapper on my tail, of COURSE I’m going to vault the window and drop the pallet and maybe loop a few times. It is the only way to possibly survive a chase. Stealthing isn’t even an option in a chase. You would literally have to be immersive Claudette wearing dark green with iron will and quick and quiet. As stated before, survivors are too weak at breaking line of sight/actually hiding from the killer and too strong at looping/surviving a chase. The game is supposed to revolve around STEALTH and hiding and how are survivors supposed to do that when it is rarely an option unless you main Claudette? Okay...decisive strike, crutch? Yes. Although I wouldn’t say sprint burst is a crutch, it gives you a slight movement speed increase for a short amount of time to gain ground on an already faster killer. I’ve heard people say Adrenaline is a crutch. By your logic, it rewards survivors by “DOING THEIR JOB” by fixing all generators. I mean if you gotta know where all the survivors are by reading their aura then all the power to you but everybody screams “NERF” when really the focus should be on balancing chases instead of perks.ItsDaEmuDood said:@MegMain98 said:

Leatherface does not need a nerf. I don’t believe he is a useless killer like some people say but he isn’t top tier in the slightest. The only thing that bugs me about LF is that he is the best camper in the game. Just rev up the chainsaw in the survivors face, goodbye hooked Claudette. Not THAT huge of an issue though as that has only happened to me like twice.

Yeah it wouldn’t exactly be balanced. It’s not really perks that need to be buffed but fixing the problems with chases and loops.Runiver said:@Jack11803 said:
@RuniverDo you think brutal strength being 50% would be fair or balanced in any way shape or form?
50% would be broken, especially on clown. It would make any pallet a deathtrap since you couldn't create any distance.
I use BS on half of my killers already, and I don't consider that perk to necessarily need a buff. It does its job, that is reducing the distance the survivor can create, as well as making it easier to keep eyes contact on a survivor.
10% more would probably not make it broken, but I doubt it's necessary.
Pallets are one of the only things that allow the survivor to break vision of the killer, and it's necessary for them to be able to do so consistently. -
There is already a perk that regresses generators faster. Pop Goes The Weasel?

Of course...as you should. You run perks that are going to help you win. As a survivor there is no way I’m going to run Deja Vu or Left Behind when Self-Care and Sprint Burst are a MUCH more viable option. As a killer I’m going to want to slow down the game with Thantaophobia and Ruin. Survivors and killer are going to use their meta perks to help them win the game. Decisive is the only perk I can truly get behind nerfing. The exhaustion perks shouldn’t have that issue as a true chase shouldn’t last as long as they do, a minute long chase is PRETTY long but you’ll see what I’m talking about below.Zarathos said:

Also high tier play will always demand you counter dbd balance problems with perks. Is Ds to strong then run enduring. Is game ending to fast because survivors are taking in crap like toolboxes and BNP's run ruin to slow'em down. Is self care screwing you run nurses calling. Is certain loops make your killer give up chases take bambozle. You see meta perks were introduced to counter problems that shouldn't exist.MegMain98 said:
You’re assuming every survivor is a god when it comes to making great skill checks. There is a reason overcharge is a highly used perk. Not everybody hits the great skill checks ALL the time. It can work, but like a lot of perks...it is situational which is why meta perks are used instead. Why use monstrous shrine or territorial imperative when BBQ and ruin will ALWAYS work? Why use unbreakable, sole survivor, or left behind when self care and sprint burst will ALWAYS work? I’ve missed skill checks/DS skill checks due to unnerving presence and overcharge before. Just because they don’t work ALL the time doesn’t make it a non-useful perk.Zarathos said:@MegMain98 said:

Most games Ruin is gone after the first chase, it's mostly there to give the killer a chance to start up pressure on the survivors. Others I just plow through and get my 2 gens so I can hatch at least.
NOED though is IMO a clutch perk. So many bad killers use it and end up getting way more kills than they rightfully deserve. And I mean just really bad killers, ones that can't catch you even when you don't loop or never kick gens or break pallets. Those killers always have a NOED and it always makes up for their lack of skill. I get games can go fast and it can be used as an ace in the hole, but good killers make better with other perks so the only ones that use it are the bad killers. If you want something for endgame that's not a crutch pick Remember Me. It's way more effective and actually takes some skill in that you have to find and hunt down your obsession. It also rewards you greatly for going after the DS guy, so now there's value in chasing them and not leaving them until the end of the game because DS.
And to be clear, DS and NOED are both equally crutchy perks for either side. Both give you a freebie for basically being bad at the game.
The only difference is that noed can be countered
Have you tried hitting a DS with The Doctor with unnerving and the skill check is all over the screen and violently shaking? Almost impossible. While it can’t be countered it can be SEVERELY punished. Not to mention, juggling is a thing.
One god damn killer. Seriously whenever we encounter a balance issue the answer is to make a god damn perks or killer to deal with the problem. It ridiculous. Not to mention unnerving on anyone but doc makes gens rush faster as your giving more survivors skill checks which means more great skill check which means more faster gen repair. As for juggling man are your ds players that stupid they'll die next to a hook. Hell even if you do juggle, someone can body block to give them the chance to get it off. Ffs guys unnerving presence is a bad perk stop running it on your killers your giving survivors more great skill checks only doc can really utilize it and sometimes even then it wont work.
You want to see experimentation then champion the nerf's to these blatantly broken perks. Honestly we should see changes to ds and sprint burst. But until then I will use anything in my power to give me a chance at winning. I don't care for a meme build that is just gonna lose me game after game because I didn't include ruin or what other meta perks.
Not saying the killers shouldn’t be powerful but the survivor shouldn’t be complete wimps either. The problem lies in that survivors are TOO weak at losing the killer but TOO strong at distracting the killer (saw somebody say this on the forums, just don’t remember who). Honestly the 2-3 times survivors use an exhaustion perk in one chase shouldn’t happen if survivors were stronger at hiding from the killer but weaker at distracting the killer. The point of the game is stealthing and hiding on the survivors side but you see 5 minute tunneling/chases because rarely is hiding a viable option. You rarely can lose the killer but can loop for ages. Survivors should have a better chance at losing the killer then they do, but shouldn’t be as strong at looping/distracting. -
Myers: Play With Your Food, NOED, Deerstalker, and Iron Grasp. Usually with dead rabbit and tacky earrings add-ons unless I want to mori then I’ll use the tuft of hair and tombstone. Basic and kinda nooby build but I don’t play killer that often

That’s exactly what I claim. A SKILLED Nurse player will have the easiest time out of any killer to get a 4K. It isn’t even a competition on who is the best killer when skilled. Everybody knows the Nurse is the best killer in the game. I was never claiming she was OP, when did I ever say “Nurse is OP”? She is EASY to kill with but with a hard skill cap. You can’t pick up the Nurse while you only played her three times and expect a 4K. Wow...everybody must just expect survivors to lay down and die every game.Tsulan said:

IF you spend tons of hours on her.
IF you manage to find mediocre survivors.

Maybe try reaching rank 1 killer first, before claiming that nurse is op.
Again, I’m not skilled a killing nor am I good in first person situations, so Rank 1 killer for me will never happen. Although it’s not perks that is causing me to not be a high rank like some people complain about. -

Who hits DS? It’s very difficult to hit DS with the Doctor. Sometimes it is even hard with the Trapper who usually has unnerving. I’ve gotten better at the DS skill checks which in turn have made it easier for the overcharge skill checks. It’s just the Doctor is really difficult to nail even the regular generator skill checks due to the screen shaking, especially if the skill check bar is in the four o’ clock position. Not impossible to hit but it is unlikely unless you’re really used to playing against the Doctor.Hillbilly420 said:@MegMain98 said:

I was in a game where somebody DC’ed in the beginning and we had five gens left. Dwight gets knocked down and hooked, he DC’s. Meg legit gave up and DC’ed afterward. So I was left and I let Leatherface kill me. No point in continuing. Survivors know it is pointless and move on to a new game.

Those three dumbass survivors who are fixing generators on the other side of the map while you are in the dying state because they get terrified at a faint heartbeat. “Wow Claudette you know what sounds like a great idea right now? Fixing a generator while Meg is on the hook! OMG Nea sounds like a terrific idea! Jake comes join ius!”
The instant DC in the beginning of the round
The Dwight/Jake who wear the red rooster shirt who is an obvious noob who will insta-unhook you when the killer has a mori.
I’m fine with urban immersion survivors on two occasions..the killer is a hag and they are avoid the traps or they are saving their sprint burst.
Starbucks Claudettes who bring the killer to your location every single time and do not understand to NOT unhook you while the killer is patrolling.
Honestly it is the three survivors who do not even TRY to help you on the hook that irk me. Then they all wonder why we all died. Dumbasses.

Spot on for the most part especially with Meg and Claudette being top two. Although I’d say Nea and Laurie could swap for A and B. Decisive is Laurie’s strongest perk but sole survivor isn’t a great perk and OOO isn’t as great as Urban Evasion. Balanced Landing is just a sprint burst but with a condition attached to it. I’d say Laurie is A tier but if she is A tier then so is Nea.
I’d also put Feng ahead of Ace. Again, Lithe is another sprint burst but with a condition attached to it. Technician at level 3 can be pretty powerful while Ace’s entire perks rely on RNG. -
It’s easy to use. Survivors use SB, SC, and DS. Just like EVERY killer uses BBQ, Ruin, and NC

No, you are not better at survivor, survivor is just an easy mode in this game, while killer is the hard mode. Something, that you refuse to aknowledge.

Killing isn’t my style. I like the dread of playing survivor, it’s more on the horror experience imo. I’d rather try to survive than kill. Although it’s like EVERY perk I use is either a crutch or it makes me garbage. If I wanna use DS then I will, if somebody thinks it is a crutch then oh well, so be it. High rank as a killer I can imagine is difficult but what do you expect? You’ll obviously be gen rushed and if survivors know what they are doing then it’ll be difficult for killers.vampire_toothy said:@MegMain98 said:
Yet decisive, sprint burst, adrenaline, and self care sre crutches right? Just because THEY WORK does not equal to being a crutch. Nurses calling legit gives away a survivors aura and so does BBQ. Okay...maybe BBQ isn’t a crutch perk but complaining about a grasp escape when you can run enduring 3 but saying aura reading perks aren’t a crutch is pushing it.Nobody ever said anything about adrenaline in this post, not to my memory anyways. Decisive is indeed a crutch because it rewards the survivor for failing in such a way where if an experienced player used it then congrats! You've wasted your time as the killer for nothing, now you can go for another survivor and then get DS'd again until it happens 4 times without any penalty towards the survivor using it. Self-care? I have no complaints about that perk really, it's super powerful but I can already live without using it and still make it into the high ranks. The reason why I don't care about self-care though is because people act incredibly stupid with the perk. Sprint burst? Abused to avoid a hit that should've otherwise landed even with the speed boost, must I say more? It's a dead hard without needing to be injured when you activate it as the killer makes the swing. Also yes, if a perk works it can still be classified as a crutch if it turns out to be way too powerful.
Also, enduring is by no means a counter to DS because you still get hit with it, perhaps you end up being stunned for less time but does that change the annoyance of the perk? No, a good player will still be able to use that time to their advantage.
Let me give you some tips though, nurses calling only works on survivors that cannot care to think for even one moment. If you heal in the terror radius of the killer then that's absolutely your fault, this perk can be countered by having a brain and not healing when you should be in danger. Back when I used nurses calling I almost never saw any aura's from people healing because they actually thought about it. Infact, I can win without the perk and I can win against people using the perk. BBQ? People complain about this perk way too much, it was added to promote healthier gameplay so people would stop camping as much, if you think people are so reliant on the perk then start tricking them with lockers and have a laugh at it when they go to check it just to realize nobody was in it! Trick the killer into thinking they know where you're going. Depending on the killer, some won't notice you if you hide behind a gen as well (which had their aura's turned into a much more red aura to match the survivors). Now, that doesn't change the fact you still even thought that brutal strength was a crutch despite it only taking 0.52 seconds off of a 2.6 second animation.

You can play killer because it's part of the game to enjoy playing both sides. You don't need to be a great killer but that's why you learn and keep at it to get better at the game, plus gaining even more bloodpoints should be enough of an incentive to play as killer considering you'd be easily leveling up your characters faster than you would just playing survivor. Should the day come that maybe you make it to a high rank as a killer, maybe then you will come to realize that there are far bigger problems on both ends than aura reading perks currently.

If need to know my aura and where I am on the map with BBQ, Amanda’s Letter, Scratched Mirror doesn’t that make you a garbage killer? I don’t wanna fight, we have two different opinions. If you tunnel one survivor and they have decisive then that’s your fault if all the gens get powered. Decisive is getting a nerf anyways so why is everybody still bitching? It isn’t going anywhere, they aren’t going to remove the perk. If decisive make me a garbage survivor so be it, you can use your aura reading add ons and perks and keep on being a garbage killer 🤷🏼♀️RSB said:@MegMain98 said:

Just the fact that people say “If you run DS you are a garbage player”. Well, maybe you’re a garbage killer if you can’t learn to deal with ONE perk.
Or maybe you are a garbage survivor, if you need a second chances.
I wonder if you would be so smart, if killers had a perk, that allowed them to instantly catch a survivor, who wiggled out of their grasp.

Some people aren’t meant to be killers. I’m not afraid to admit I’m hot garbage at killing, but it isn’t decisive strike that irks me as a killer. I know what it feels like to be teabagged in the end, but I also know what it is like to be facecamped because the killer is salty as hell because they couldn’t catch you because you ran for five minutes while the exit gates got powered. Yet people CATER to the killer if he facecamps and say he isn’t being toxic, because it is a strategy. No it isn’t, it is being unsportsmanlike and upset that they get outplayed. Do you want me to just lay down and die at the mercy of a killer? No, I’m gonna try my hardest to survive...but forbid if I loop a pallet or flashlight to save a friend because I’m being toxic. Both killer and survivors have ups and downs and I know of all of them. Point is that BOTH have crutch perks. Nurses calling and BBQ point out the survivors auras and if that isn’t a crutch then I don’t know what is. Yet sprint burst is apparently a crutch because it gives you a SMALL speed increase for a measly three seconds, okay must make sense.olibob06 said:

You’re clearly a survivor main and you rarely play killer and almost never get to go to the better ranks as killer, you see this from the perspective of a person who doesn’t know how it feels to spend 5 gens catching one toxic, looping scumbag, just to be D-Striked and Teabagged at the exit gate.
If you spend five minutes tunneling Claudette with a flashlight then that falls on YOU, not the survivor. She wants you to tunnel her and you are feeding it to her. Use your head and patrol generators instead of bitching about pallet loopers when you can easily avoid it. -

I'm sorry but whenever I see a toxic survivor acting all high and mighty running this perk is just silly. You act like you don't care because you abuse loops and get a free get outta jail free card when running this and they have the nerve to say ez in the lobby. I find people that don't run it and can actually run the whole game without it more worthy to the title of being a good survivor.Does BBQ and Ruin make you a good killer? The question can be reversed.

Comparing DS (a perk that gives a free, undeserved escape after failing) to BBQ (a perk that significantly reduces camping) is like comparing Eggs with Bananas.
People have such a short memory. They don´t remember how the game was before BBQ or swivel hooks.
If i see 1 more complaint about BBQ, i swear i´m going full Insidious Basement camper with Leatherface until survivors ask me to equip BBQ again.Do it. Wear that Insidious Basement Leatherface.
How is BBQ and DS any different. Both give undeserving escapes/finds. They are the same in that regard. I've seen killers before BBQ that couldn't find a survivor right next to them, now they just zip on over with the BBQ and Billy and begin the chase. Not to mention let's be honest, if a killer doesn't see one survivor on BBQ he suddenly just stands there and searches every blade of grass even tho 40m is pretty far out lol.
BBQ rewards the killer for doing their objective of finding a person in the first place and then putting them on a hook for it to maybe give you useful information. DS rewards the survivor for failing. Do you see the difference yet? In a different style of gameplay I'd argue against aura reading entirely but the devs here want to ensure that everyone gets in on the action of the game as much as possible to avoid having people left out, hence why we have perks like BBQ & Chili (which is intended to promote healthier gameplay), nurses calling and any other form of aura reading for both sides. Tricking a killer with BBQ & Chili is not difficult (unless you're against hillbilly and nurse due to their mobility but even then it's not impossible). Try to fool the killers with lockers and have a laugh at it! If you think people are so dependent on it and would otherwise be unable to find people then in theory it should be easy for you to fool them too, right?

You break the pallet 20% faster at level 3 or otherwise 0.52 seconds faster than the base 2.6 seconds. Yes there are issues on both sides of the game but you have your head in the wrong area in my opinion if you think BBQ, brutal strength and nurses calling are crutches. Just because something works as intended doesn't mean that it can't be unbalanced, people are right to complain about DS.

It’s the way people want you to play. Play how YOU want to play and don’t worry about others. As a survivor if you gen rush, try to get yourself tunneled and loop the killer because you play distraction, or simply flashlight/pallet stun the killer then you are toxic. Oh yeah let’s not forget that decisive strike, self care, and sprint burst are crutch perks.MegaWaffle said:Survivor objective- Fix 5 generators and open an exit to escape (Alternative use a hatch to escape). I don't see any rule books around saying how you must play to achieve this objective.
Killer objective- Kill all the survivors. Odd again I don't see any rule book saying how you must play to achieve this objective.
It seems people can play how they want without the other side creating their own imaginary rules. So lets all do just that. Like in life some people will be jerks and others generous. Don't always expect to get your way, and make the best of a bad situation. Life is too short for salt, try something sweeter.
Cheers!
As a killer I can’t say much because face camping is not a viable strategy unless the exit gates are open. However, chainsawing somebody as Leatherface in the first minute then facecamping is very unsportsmanlike and don’t be shocked when you do not pip. If you allowed survivors to fix five generators while you screwed around chasing flashlight Claudette then that is all on you. Juggling to avoid decisive normally will not work out unless you are near a hook. After a few drops they will wiggle out. I cannot tell you how many times I had a killer try juggling me to the basement and I wiggled free because they dropped me so many times. It is easier to just eat the decisive and move on and catch them again.
There are unsportsmanlike survivors who teabag you and can act toxic. There are also crybaby salty killer who DC when they tunnel you and can’t catch you or you break their hex totem. There is no right or wrong way to play the game but if you make yourself out to be toxic then it falls back on you, not the other players.
