I always come across people going like ahh I used god pallet right at the start of the match but the thing is shack can be run without the pallet and the basement can sometimes be a rare source to use for tricking the Killer.
But I always find with people even if they use the 'god pallet' or 'shack pallet' or whatever you wanna call it in midgame or when there is only 1 gen left they still complain. I have never really complained about this when I use God pallet its either a case of Oh good I stunned them with it that's a solid use or if I miss it then I'm like Ahhh I messed up.
As much as I wanna brag about the shack pallet. The shack is a good place to run the Killer around I find the pallet as a sort of addon to the shack that people have taken to much fath in. I see the shack pallet as break from running the Killer around for a few seconds and it is different to most pallets because of pallet looping.
But the difference with pallet looping is that you need to rely on the pallet in order to stall the killer with it and have a safe place from not getting hit. But once that pallet is gone you can no longer loop the Killer around that place anymore.
That's why I see that shack pallet as an add on to the shack instead of a most be there thing otherwise I'm dead.
I See why people don't see this as an addon and see it as they do because they don't see the shack as a mind gaming area or a looping area but I do. I'm a really Unpredictable Survivor and I mess around with Killer around the shack a ton.
But yeah I just wanted to get a point out that the stack pallet isn't something to be worrying that you've lost at the start of the game because the shack is still usable as long as you good at looping and mind gaming, even the lockers are an option but I need intend to use them.
But I've never intended to use quick and quiet and head on as an alternative option for shack.
What it comes down to is THEY want to be the one to drop it when they need it, and when they run to the shack and its gone they think its a waste because they weren't the ones to drop it, and obviously only they KNOW when is the right time to drop it.

Such a joke comment. "Get better" while you and your SWF buddies can't play survivor without your ctuch coms telling each other how to play and what to do.
-
This literally really only benefits SWF groups who are tired of killers dodging them.
-
I want this.
-
As a survivor in purple - red you can die and still pip. 2 people can get out, 2 can die, 1 can die, 3 can escape, all can escape, all can die and you still pip.
Killer literally will sweat super hard in red rank, get 3 kills, last person escapes, have fun with your black pip.

I know that the killer wants to have fun, that's half my point. I want to have fun when I play killer as well. But the killer isn't going to have fun if they can't get a game, because the queues are all messed up between the lobby dodging and the fact that no one wants to play a game that punishes them for enjoying it with friends. I'm not going to go into the issues around penalising SWF because this thread isn't actually about that. It's about the merits of telling killers in advance whether survivors are playing with friends or not, and my point was that although it may sound good on paper, a system like that is actually disadvantageous for everyone, killers included.
It is only disadvantageous for SWF. I'd gladly wait a little longer as a killer to get a non SWF group. People don't get that a brown-green rank SWF group is severely different than a red rank SWF group.
Red rank SWF is literally zero ######### fun for the killer at all. It is literally just fun for the survivors and incredibly unbalanced at that.

considering the devs are balancing around a 2k, I would reccomend not trying to get a 4k every game, they are nice though, so I mean, hey goals.
Anyway onto the actual topic, I serioulsy hope they dont implement this. I would not be surprised if the majority of matches, have at least 2 friends in many of them.
Try getting a 2k in purple and red ranks as killer and see what happens.

Have you seen any good nurses in red ranks after nerf? Show me them then. I haven't met one and yes, I am on PC
I don't know how to respond to you then if you are so good at this game and have never seen a good Nurse.
-
Also CrowFoxy I'm not calling you bad, and I do agree her base kit change feels different and people don't like it. However I still personally believe she is still the number one killer in red ranks.

Why do you talk like every nurse players that are bad currently were relying on omega blink?
Because if you were a bad nurse player that had to use omega blinks to secure your hits, or basically take 4 or more blinks to land a hit I would say you were.
Again I am talking about red ranks right now, now brown - purple. There were a LOT of really bad nurse players who just abused how strong nurse was to get to red ranks, and without her really strong addons they would not have gotten there at all.

She's strong when using addons. Without addons survivors can easily run her around the map just by pressing W. So pay your 9K BP tax to have old nurse or play something else, I guess.
That is every killer in the game. Nurse at base kit compared to other killers base other than maybe Spirit is still better. She negates loops and pallets.

Primarily ardetha...known in the community to be one of the best nurses around..now funnily he was on board till he saw the results in a survivor game..then he realized just how bad the downside was and how terrible it felt to play it
Cool, there's a difference between feeling different and not being strong. Nurse is still very very strong, and still in my own opinion number one in red ranks if you are a good Nurse.

Well first starters you say only bad nurses hated the change when in fact the top nurse mains around have had the most outrage over it if you look around..because nobody cares omega blink is gone as you seem to think, it's all about the base kit changes which hilariously is counter intuitive to what the devs were trying to achieve..now shes harder and more punishing for less potential..the laziest and most inappropriate way to handle a nerf in any game as it makes the character feel unnecessarily stressful..yet here you are parroting the same stuff every person who doesnt get it does..claiming only the bad ones cared when the good ones actually cared the most
You heard a streamer complain about it. "the best nurses".

Are you implying the OP is a bad Nurse?
If they want to take it that way. I just find the overreaction on the forums ridiculous when it comes to nurse. A lot of bad nurses got weeded out and are complaining because they cannot rely on their omega blink nurse to carry them through a game. If you are a good nurse, you will still play well and perform well.
-
Nurse is still very very viable and performing well at red ranks with good nurses.

I literally thought this post was going somewhere else based off the title.

They're not blind.
Two overpowered things does not make a solution. It just leaves two overpowered things.
To that end, punishing people just for playing with each other is also not a solution. Not every SWF is a military group. 95% of the time I'm playing with friends, I don't even bother using a mic, as do some of my other friends I play with, and if we do, we're socializing about something else and the game is the background.
Every SWF players says they are just "having fun" yet 90% of SWF in red ranks are sweaty try hards.

As a killer main, I hate it as much as you. I'm still gonna play it though, makes me try to get better.
I understand what you are saying, but in red ranks there is no getting better than them. If a SWF team is playing optimally you pretty much have zero chance to win unless they make mistakes.
-
Blow dart!!!
-
Are you really complaining about something that is entirely optional and you don't have to do at all if you don't want to?
You will have potato teammates before, after and during any event, you will have killers who mori, camp, and tunnel before and after every event. Honestly this just sounds like you are just getting frustrated with being unable to complete the challenges yourself.
Give it a break for a week then go at it, most people will be done with it by then so you can have free reign of all the pallets, all the healing, all the unhooking you want.
-
@Athanar90 said:
I say lobby dodging 3 times in 24 hours should count as a disconnect, and punish disconnects harder.
No killer should be forced to play against your SWF with map, key, purple toolbox with speed addons.
-
And if you think killers are bad, rank reset is nothing but try hard red rank swf groups.
-
You do give him the kill by disconnecting though.
-
Lets include all 5 of them, thats still not even half the roster. OoO among a good red rank SWF is absolute cancer and should not be allowed.

They need all the help they can get honestly, a good killer can shred a SWF group, a good killer can do a lot of things but they're very rare to run into, besides most "squads" are just a group of friends goofing around and having fun, if the killer can't deal with that they have bigger issues.
Maybe in brown - purple. I'd say 70% of SWF in red ranks are super sweaty try hard.

Yes, and? SWF are going to be stronger overall no matter what. So why not give a significant buff to solo players?
That doesn't deal with the power that SWF have is what I'm saying. Everything in this game was intended for solo play, keys, maps, offerings etc. However in try hard SWF groups that is what breaks the game along with communication.
So just buffing solo players will still not alleviate the lopsided matches that a full 4 man red rank SWF team brings into a match.
I do agree that solo players need better tools and UI to assist them.

I think to balance SWF, they should make Kindred's effect baseline.
One of the biggest issues you run into as a solo Survivor is not knowing whether your teammates are going for an unhook or not. So you'll often have games where everyone goes for an unhook at the same time (Thus wasting a lot of time) or where nobody goes for an unhook (Meaning you needlessly lose a teammate early on).
For SWF, having Kindred's effect tells you nothing that you don't already know, so it's not a buff for SWF, only solo players.
Plus, this change would discourage camping. If you camp, you're now guaranteed to get genrushed.
That doesn't even balance SWF at all. All that would do would make it easier for solo survivors to know what everyone is doing. SWF are still stronger overall.

I think something as simple as notifying the killer how many people are in a group so they can adjust addons / offerings or whatever accordingly would be fair. A lot of the time even a full 4 man SWF is just friends messing around.
I agree with that, I don't know why it hasn't been implemented yet. However I disagree with friends just having fun, especially in the red ranks. Id say 70% of SWF games are super try hard and the remaining 30% are just playing together.

My personal suggestion would be to allow opt-out of SWF games as a killer, and add a BP bonus to people who opt-in, but BHVR would NEVER do anything to threaten their SWF profits.
No killer would ever queue up for SWF.
-
@SilentSpectre said:
The problem is that comms make some killers useless and other OP against solo queue
How do you deal with that though? "Hey the killer is going into the house you're in, get out. Hey the killer is chasing me work on gens. I found hex totem in killer shack someone else get it I'm in a chase".
That alone makes it no longer a 1v4 or a 1v1, it's a whole other level of #########.
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
With a secondary objective, the devs wouls be able to give more space for 1v1s. In a game where gens get rushed and maps are that huge, the 1v4 mentality is sadly the right one.
Yeah I think map size has a huge factor in 1v4 and the 1v1. All the big maps are literally horrible for every killer other than Spirit, Nurse, Billy, Freddy, Demigorgon and Hag to an extent.
-
I agree with that, its very hard to balance a killer to make them efficient in 1v4 and still make them fun in the 1v1, especially when SWF adds in the communication perk.
I play like 70% killer but when I do play survivor there are certain killers I have a lot less fun going against, some due to the 1v1 factor, others due to I find them really boring to go against.

It really did happen and I wish I had saved a screenshot of my emblems to prove to you so you would stop assuming that everyone is lying to you.
He is saying that because it is literally impossible to not pip with what you said happened. Unless every hook you did was unsafe, and the generators you helped out with were already almost done by the time you joined in. Doing one generator on your own is worth nothing unfortunately.

Nowhere in there did it say he did basicly nothing. He said he got the gens done and healed his teammates. Why does doing work to you consist of SOLELY getting found and chased? If this guy can pop 5 gens solo and get all the heals, wouldnt that mean he did more work than his teammates who only managed to get found and hooked all game, lol? Not saying thats what he DID, Im sure his teammates did gens too but...I think you get my point. He also wasnt asking for a Pip even, just asking to not de-pip.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/766/VRBNHKPSP6B0.jpg
Due to ######### matchmaking, I had this game recently. The killer didnt get ANYTHING done and all that was left to do was power through the gens and leave. Does that mean I deserve a de-pip for not throwing myself infront of the killer to be chased, or climbing up on a hook and just hooking myself so My teammates can get some altruism points?
You literally link this picture every day.
-
Nice good job!

@MegMain98 said:
I’ve had rounds where the killer chased one guy all round and got looped. All I do is the gens and I’m not found. There is nobody to unhook so no altruism points and the killer has tunnel vision. I de-pip these rounds.
Or either I’m the guy looping the killer so I only get boldness points.
I do agree if you escape you should AT LEAST get a black pip.
These rounds are few and far between though. Most of the time it’s the Claudette that hides all round, lets her teammates die, and gets the hatch. She deserves to de-pip.
This agree is a pain in the butt. Sometimes you just cannot pip even if you wanted. I'm mostly talking about the survivors who just evade the entire game on purpose, rarely rescue anyone at all, will only touch gens if they know 100% there is no ruin or the killer is across the map. Those survivors don't deserve a pip.
-
In all honesty I would rather have teammates who help with generators, rescue teammates, heal injured, and run the killer rather than urban evading ones who you know won't bother to help once someone is dead.

You act like hiding is never the best course of action, which is obviously wrong. Every action needs to be chosen according to the situation. Take that into consideration, and your escape rate will go up, I promise you. ?
I don't need to worry about my rank like this thread is talking about. I can actually play the game and help my teammates out and escape. I don't need to Urban Evade in a corner the entire map wearing nothing but dark clothes.

Hiding means searching means wasted time means gens get done means doors get open means escape.
?
By all means keep making your survivor games 3v1 and then wonder why you don't pip.
-
I said this in another Nurse rant post. This change will weed out all of the bad killers who got to red rank abusing omega blink that didn't belong there. Actual skilled Nurse players will still destroy with her at red rank and will adapt to it.
By the sounds of it you looked up "WhAtS STonGeST KILeR DbD" then just spammed that to red rank. You still have Spirit for the time being.

The current rating system cannot precisely measure everyone's contribution to the team and that's all. Hiding or playing immerse isn't being coward you know. Sometimes one get really good at sneaking around the killer distracting them, which wastes the killer's time and buying gen time for teammates.
How are you distracting the killer by hiding? You might think that you are being helpful, but I'll tell you that 99% of P3 immersed Claudettes in red rank are literally just hiding in lockers either waiting for you to finish everything or hatch escape.
