DS, BT, DH rofl
Hm dont see any of those in the that game

How are hex perks and running "second chance perks" toxic? What
-
Isn't this just a repost from a thread posted like an hour ago? We get it, survivor rule book funny, but can we please have some variety in posts?

detectives hunch, make it your job to do the totems, its really not a big deal
Sure I'll run DH if you make kindred and bond base kit for solo players, so I then can use other perks instead of having everything to make me in solo Q
-
It only gets worse with at least 3 new perks every 3 months. Good luck
-
I dont use BT or DS and I'm also red ranks and play solo, but I can 100% see why others would use it.
Killers love to talk about the "survivor rulebook" when people mention tunneling and camping, but then complain when the same people use DS and BT.

Rule: Don’t play immersive, don’t hide from the killer
Rule: never ever play Claudette, somehow even pink hat and white jacket Claudettes count for some as a Blendette
Rule: don’t Loop they Killer, looping is boring
Rule: No flashlights
Rule: No keys, if you bring a key even a broken one, you have to accept that you get tunneled
oh no i think I just read those from another rule book 🤔
I've legit had a huntress facecamp me in the basement with her hatchet up because my team mates did one gen before she downed me. It was a fog whisperer too at red ranks :/

But killers dont have a problem with queues do they? hmmm
I do have a problem with Killer Q times in the morning and my survivor Q times at the same time are instant. Q times vary depending on time of the day and on your rank. Want to try again?
-
In 4k hours I've only had hackers in my games like 3 times on PC

I havent played in around 4 days now, got ingame as myers and decided to use a mori.... is this a new way to fight off mori? to do a mass suicide on 1st hook?
EDIT: survivors shouldnt complain about queue times at all anymore tbh after all the ######### they put killers trough
I rarely see people suiciding on first hook now since moris were nerfed. People suiciding in 1 game because you used a mori doesn't mean it's a common occurrence.
By that logic, killers shouldnt complain if people play in SWF and use DS+BT if all killers do is tunnel/camp.
Stop playing the victim because someone decided to suicide on hook in one of your matches, it's worse to their team than it is to you as the killer.

I don't know if it has gotten worse but just yesterday I had 2 different people calling me slurs :|

If we want to create more empathy players should be forced to play Killer for every 4-5 games they play as a survivor. I learned to empathize a lot with killers after I started playing one. It would also help with the waiting times and regenerate some of the killer pool. I wouldn't mind playing a killer for every 4-5 games I get in as a survivor.
Imo that goes for both sides. If more killers played solo q survivor maybe they would think twice before hooking the person who was just farmed off hook without BT etc

I tested this once to see if I get faster Survivor queues and yes, they are faster since PC Players play Survivor and Killer equally while console plays Survivor for the most part.
BUT, you will play against some really sweaty and good Killers and also against some really sweaty Survivors. On PC at least, not sure how it is on console.
But most of them were good sports and nice people even if they were strong as fudge.
Yea I have noticed that. A lot of sweaty killers so far. Havent tried killer yet with it off
Edit: not so much nice sports, so far I've been called a f** twice in what 6 matches? Lol

The weirdest thing is that when I exit a session quickly and look for one instantly, it redirects me to the team that I left, even Killer.
Exactly the same thing.

Another thing I'm noticing is when trying to dodge lobbies I keep on seeing the same team mates over and over again lol.

Lately I see many players on ps4 than on PC with crossplay enabled and I see more toxicity in them than in PC.
I turned it off because at night it was taking me 10 minutes to find a lobby just to get 3 console team mates ranks 15-20. Want to see if I can get red ranks team mates at night with it off. :/

Fine, then why do you care if decisive strike and unbreakable gets nerfed? It's an overpowered combination for good players and a crutch combination for bad players.
Dead zones are not skill. Never implied make more brain-dead deadzones by reworking the map rng. Instead you remove the overpowered windows like autohaven bus and loops like crotus prenn, which i think is not even removed by the new rework.
And undying as unfair it was to the average solo queue team it balanced the game and made lower tier killers somewhat playable against good teams.
I never said I care if DS + UNB gets nerfed though. I don't use them.
This game can't be balanced around SWF.
-
@Klakky said:
Opposite prove thyself, 15% penalty to repairing gens, cleansing speeds and healing for each teamates in the SWF lobby, doesn't affect solo Q's.
So what if I'm solo, running the killer around, by that logic, I'd have to run the killer even longer because my 3 team mates, who happens to be SWF, are doing things slower. That just makes solo Q even worse.
-

High skilled unbiased players would not nerf undying this badly, if at all. They would think of making the game more of skill, by reworking the map rng, removing extremely safe loops, etc. Perks are just part of the problem. ######### if the players were something close to the top, 90% of players would leave because their mains are unplayable and only meta perks are played which just shows how unbalanced it still is.
by the way, you do not need decisive strike and unbreakable on every four survivor with communications to destroy the average killer so stop generalizing.
You mean all the dead zones they added on maps recently? Tell me how dead zones require any kind of skill by the killer.
You start generalizing by talking like all this game is SWF. Solo players exist, and a lot of you people really love to forget about that.
I consider myself quite skilled at 4k hours, always playing solo and in red ranks and never once used DS + UNB.
Undying was UNhealthy for solo Q and there's that.

Obviously Freddy. He's so hot he turned crisp, literally.
On a serious note, same thing as I said on the other thread: Oni and Trapper

The community suggested several times things like Gas cans or fixing cables as additional objectives. But so far, there seems to be no sign of the devs implementing something like that.
I'd be ok with side objective for the gens themselves instead of just holding m1.

Have you played with PC players? They're the biggest babies I've ever gamed with. They go down in seconds as most of 'em can't loop and then either dc or kill themselves on hook. And if they don't kill themselves on hook they're doing stupid stuff like searching chests when gens need to be popped. So, ya, not a fan. If it wasn't for the fact that PC killers are a challenge compared to console killers I'd be turning crossplay permanently off.
I feel like a lot of times rank 5 on console is the equivalent of rank 15 on PC. I get way more dcing console players than PC players

Yes, they do work too slowly for a millionaire company. I've seen early access games more stable and polished than dead by daylight has been in 4.5 years.
With the bias going around the average playerbase, the devs should take feedback from high skilled unbiased players. They are experts at the game and seems like they know the game better than bhvr.
Hm high skilled unbiased players would say undying was unhealthy for the game, because solo Q survivors exist and not everyone is in a 4men SWF with 4 DS+UNB
-
Yes I feel bad for myself because my useless team mate made it a 3v1 at 4/5 gens, making it harder on the rest on the team.

You can´t blame the killer if your teammates are bad. Well, since it´s surprisingly easy to assemble a full SWF team on the official Discord server, i´d say yes.
I was banned for telling my friend to "delete himself", yes same words. So no, it isn't that easy.

Personally, that whole attitude survivor mains have of "the killers argument isn't valid unless we're in a SWF" needs to stop when it comes to totems. If there's even a chance of NOED you have more than enough [bad word]ing time to find all the totems. If you even have to think "Does the killer have NOED" with 3 gens done, start breaking totems. Obviously the killer isn't good enough to keep up the pressure so you have time.
A lot of good killers also use noed. What do you expect me to do against a spirit/nurse with 3 slowdown perks + noed?
-
As survivor they also suck, unless you want that prove thyself coop points. Otherwise, they do more bad than good.
-
Just another useless perk that you have to waste BP on
-
@Tsulan said:

You don´t get punished for it. Do all totems = no NOED.
People behave like NOED instantly drops every survivor once the gens are done. When all it does, is take a healthstate away from healthy survivors.
There are 5 totems and 4 survivors. If everyone does a single totem and 1 survivor sacrifices himself to do 2, then there won´t be NOED. Like never. But the secondary objective, survivor ASKED for seems just to much for them.
How am I supposed to know if my other team mates did them? Like I said, I play solo. Should we all just play SWF so your argument is valid?
-
Tenacity + Dead Hard + No Mither + Breakbout seems like it could be kinda fun tbh

Survivors rush gens like there is no tomorrow. Ignoring totems and even avoiding to heal, because they are protected by DS and have Adrenaline.
Yet they look down on killers for using NOED. Calling it a failure, when the killer has a couple of endgame perks, that are specifically designed to not let anyone escape.
I play solo, do all the totems I find and don't avoid healing most of the time. Why should I, as someone who went for saves, did gens etc get punished by being one shot because the killer couldn't keep up?
-
Or you know, just dodge the lobby if you see that many items, and ignore the OoO? that's usually what I do.
Killers who do this kind of thing always end up facecamping the random who got put in a 3men swf and not the actual swf. What does that accomplish? lol
-
I think killer adepts should just be changed to a 4k with the 3 base perks. After the mori nerf I think it's fair game.
-
With the amount of cry posts I see lately about Franklins, I wouldn't be surprised it was next. Imo all perks on the killer side right now are fine. Some weaker ones need buffs tho.

@Tsulan said:

Actually no. The killers objective is to kill. Not protect gens. Doesn´t matter if 0 gens get done or all.
Rewards killers for wasting time? It surely does not reward you because you got a lot of downs/hooks.

It would be an idea then. Reduce chance of depip. But I suppose it depends what you want I think this would be a good idea regardless but if you don't care about rank then I'm not sure. They could increase BP but again would ot be worth it for that alone? Personally I do it to punish the camping killer and thats enough but ots frustrating when no gens get done or survivors become stupidly altruistic and try and rescue without bt and we both get downed
I think they should increase struggling to at least like 3k bp or something. Way less suicides on hook as well.

I get your point entirely, we do it tk punish the camping killer but your right all you get is a de pip and a few 'struggle points not even worth speaking of. To answer your question I'm not sure how to fix this, I know you get emblem points for being in chase while gens are done but do you get them while hooked? If not implement this to make black pipping more likely or increase emblem gain if this exists so maybe you get more? Still depends on other survivors doing gens though.
You do not get them while on hook. You only get the 300 BP, that isnt even enough for a crappy brown fog offering,

The thread was "why should I be penalised for camping". My answer was you're penalised for getting caught. End of.
Actually the thread was why should I not suicide on hook if my team mates are being useless? I'm not staying on hook just so others can do gens and maybe escape.
Again, read the thread. I'm tired of saying the same thing over and over again because people refuse to use their brain and reading comprehension

Call me old fashioned, but I feel empathy when I see someone getting farmed right in front of me. I tend not to camp (it's generally uneffective anyways, and you as a killer should be pressuring other survivors instead of staring dead-eyed at one poor soul), but I've had survivors straight up run me TO the hook and unhook their friends right in front of me. I've also had a team bombard the hook like lemmings before, not letting me leave, or loop around the hooks.
I think most killer mains brush off some of the "survivor rulebook" because what they may claim as hooking, tunneling, or other such behavior is often claimed in circumstances where it did not apply, or where a killer literally can't help the situation. One example is again, the whole team immediately bombards the hook the second the person is on it. I'm not saying it's okay, but often times killers are ignored, bullied, or sometimes even ganged up on. As in entire SWF teams reporting someone who didn't do anything, just to get them banned for no reason.
Personally, I have my own personal honor code as a killer. This often bites me in the end, since many survivors will abuse this as "weakness", and will hassle a killer for being weak in their eyes instead of being a decent person. Which is why many killers are so bitter about it. It's a vicious cycle.
More often than not when I get farmed from the hook, being a solo survivor who doesnt run DS, i just get hooked again. I've had team mates working with the killer, and the killer instead of killing them, they kill everyone else. Where was the empathy then?
I'm never toxic. Never click flashlight, never teabag and I play as fair as I can. Same as killer. I go out of my way to not tunnel and not camp.
I just find it odd how people are defending a killer dcing. That has nothing to do with empathy. I've had killers dcing without anyone being toxic. I've had survivors dcing on me, without me tunneling or camping.
But in this forums, I always see people complaining about survivors dcing. What if that survivor was being hard tunneled? Facecamped? Sandbagged by a team mate? They always get the same reply about the "rulebook". But when a killer dcs, people pity them. It's just a lot of double standards. I'll always show empathy to people who show it to me.

Entirely true. Sometimes the difference is acting like a decent human being. Mocking killers at the exit gates and refusing to leave, straight up taking the game hostage, rude lobby chats, hell I've seen players GANG UP on new killers and mercilessly bully them, chain flashlighting, sandbagging, the works. It honestly can destroy a killer main's morale.
Remember the killer behind the screen IS in fact a person.
This goes for other players in your group too, survivors! I've seen enough solo cue people taken off the hook right in front of me. Farming your teammates for kicks, shame on you! You know who you are.
So when survivors complain about face camping and tunneling, killer mains say they dont care about a "survivor rulebook", but when killers complain about all these things, that a lot of them don't even give any advantage, survivors have to think about it?
-
People on this thread defending killers dcing, hopefully you aren't the same ones complaining when a survivor dcs.
