Thank you for this, I honestly needed the pick-me-up today as a killer main.
And most of all, thank you for being so thoughtful and kind! We honestly need more people like yourself in the community. <3

Listen, when I loop a killer through most gens (most games) I laugh, I understand there frustration cause I play killer too. But this comment is difficult to respond too, they'll be some who will agree and some who don't. As a survivor main, it's funny when a killer dc's but that's only because of me (normally). I made the killer dc because the killer isn't smart enough to detach, Idc if what I say next is toxic but I'll be honest, I think swf isn't the main concern of why killers dc, it's because if they chase a "good looper" and they keep chasing the good looper and lose the whole game because they couldn't see that.
Certainly another good point, and you aren't wrong. There is a difference between a group straight up ganging up on a killer, and a killer not knowing when to abandon the chase.
There are also some people who are just not in a good head space, and thus DC.
But sometimes the difference can be that empathy instead of being rude, and you show a great example of this. Empathizing with the frustrated killers at times, especially new ones is a good step, and the community needs more of that.

More often than not when I get farmed from the hook, being a solo survivor who doesnt run DS, i just get hooked again. I've had team mates working with the killer, and the killer instead of killing them, they kill everyone else. Where was the empathy then?
I'm never toxic. Never click flashlight, never teabag and I play as fair as I can. Same as killer. I go out of my way to not tunnel and not camp.
I just find it odd how people are defending a killer dcing. That has nothing to do with empathy. I've had killers dcing without anyone being toxic. I've had survivors dcing on me, without me tunneling or camping.
But in this forums, I always see people complaining about survivors dcing. What if that survivor was being hard tunneled? Facecamped? Sandbagged by a team mate? They always get the same reply about the "rulebook". But when a killer dcs, people pity them. It's just a lot of double standards. I'll always show empathy to people who show it to me.
I certainly feel for you being farmed, ironically it's part of my own personal honor code to double down on the person who farmed their teammate, and let the poor soul who got farmed run off.
It's more that you rarely see any empathy as a killer, which I think in time has turned a lot of them pretty bitter. This creates a pretty vicious cycle, where kind killers quickly turn resentful, which creates the toxic survivors in turn. Often times, we see nothing but hate, never a kind word, friendly banter and lighthearted jokes. While some people just aren't in a good state of mind and DC for their own reasons, I've seen plenty of people just up and quit because of the behavior of others.
Hell, I've had nights where I've had back-to-back SWF teams make my time utterly miserable, to the point where I need to take breaks from the game or quit for the night. Point is, we all need to see ourselves as a full community, and see each other's point of view.
(On another note, a reminder to take time for yourselves and maybe go check out the Wholesome Moments thread in the general discussions chat. Everyone could use a wholesome pick-me-up nowadays!)

I was streaming the other day, and got a pretty bad matchup with a fully decked out SWF group. In the swamp. While I'm not a great spirit, I can usually do alright, but I was having a rough go. By the end, I was so disheartened. But after the match, they came INTO my stream, apologized, and actually TRIED to cheer me up. A great lot, really. Followed and everything, and while I had another group like it right after, looking back I'm grateful that they cared at all.

So when survivors complain about face camping and tunneling, killer mains say they dont care about a "survivor rulebook", but when killers complain about all these things, that a lot of them don't even give any advantage, survivors have to think about it?
Call me old fashioned, but I feel empathy when I see someone getting farmed right in front of me. I tend not to camp (it's generally uneffective anyways, and you as a killer should be pressuring other survivors instead of staring dead-eyed at one poor soul), but I've had survivors straight up run me TO the hook and unhook their friends right in front of me. I've also had a team bombard the hook like lemmings before, not letting me leave, or loop around the hooks.
I think most killer mains brush off some of the "survivor rulebook" because what they may claim as hooking, tunneling, or other such behavior is often claimed in circumstances where it did not apply, or where a killer literally can't help the situation. One example is again, the whole team immediately bombards the hook the second the person is on it. I'm not saying it's okay, but often times killers are ignored, bullied, or sometimes even ganged up on. As in entire SWF teams reporting someone who didn't do anything, just to get them banned for no reason.
Personally, I have my own personal honor code as a killer. This often bites me in the end, since many survivors will abuse this as "weakness", and will hassle a killer for being weak in their eyes instead of being a decent person. Which is why many killers are so bitter about it. It's a vicious cycle.

Their number one focus should be fixing queue times. Right now queue times are the worst part of DBD and I feel like it shouldn't be so hard to fix them after 3 years, but they can't seem to even come close. I've bene in suvivor queue for 10 min at 11 pm as I write this. The game is totally broken when you have to wait 10-15 minutes just to play a match. It trumps every other issue by about a mile.
That's the kicker, bad matchups are often leading to people not wanting to play killer. It's never fun being the low rank killer being bullied time and time again, and it's a vicious cycle. The balance of the game has been utterly thrown off, and thus most don't want to be in the position where they are miserable playing a game. That they play to have fun.

A bloodpoint bonus could definitely help out the killer population as it basically is bribing players, but there's only so much you can do before the devs need to step in & actually balance the game so it isn't completely miserable to play as killer.
Entirely right. A blood point bonus would be a cheap band-aid fix at most. Developers need to re-work on the balance of the game as a whole, since it's entirely miserable to be a killer main right now. Generators are done wicked fast by most SWF groups, the power balance has been thrown entirely off kilter, and even incredible top killer mains struggle with these groups.
This causes the remaining killer mains to use pretty unfun tactics (meta killers, perks, and camping to name a few), making it miserable for solo players, making cues take forever due to the lack of killers that want to deal with the abuse, etc. It's a vicious cycle. Hopefully it can be halted before it spirals out of control....more so than it already is.

My significant other plays full stealth, 0 terror radius all-seeing Myers. It's the most anxiety inducing thing in indoor maps especially. No warning, just sneaky Myers.

Entirely true. Sometimes the difference is acting like a decent human being. Mocking killers at the exit gates and refusing to leave, straight up taking the game hostage, rude lobby chats, hell I've seen players GANG UP on new killers and mercilessly bully them, chain flashlighting, sandbagging, the works. It honestly can destroy a killer main's morale.
Remember the killer behind the screen IS in fact a person.
This goes for other players in your group too, survivors! I've seen enough solo cue people taken off the hook right in front of me. Farming your teammates for kicks, shame on you! You know who you are.
