Much better playing solo queue today. Games are lasting longer than 4 minutes and I'm getting killers other than Blight and Nurse
If you dont mind me asking which rank are you?
Because it's the complete opposite for me. I dont mind going against nurse and spirit and blight if I have a good team

Really? :o how do you choose to deal with campers? I don't know what i dislike more, camping or tunneling.
IMO with camping the best thing you could do is to not be the one who is found first. That goes for tunneling too. If someone else gets caught first and is being camped/tunneled, I just push on gens and hope the others do the same. With MMR I saw way more team mates actually doing gens in that scenario.

With SBMM i lost my rank, got slugged and tunneled a lot.
Okayish teammates and annoying killers, you know how some killers choose to play..
Now the games are bearable but getting matched with new survivors.
I also got a lot of camping killers but I'd rather go against a camping killer with good team mates who actually are useful than going against a killer who doesn't camp + 3 dead weights

What I want is maps to be fixed to the point that allows a killer other then nurse or spirit to succeed. I want maps to actually ALLOW you to get pressure with downs and slugs.
This goes hand in hand with maps. I want gens to NOT pop on the first chase. I don't want to get my first hook and go to the gen to find that 2 more are about ready to pop.
I don't care about the quality of survivor. But it's undeniable that when it's 4 VERY good survivors. They know how to use the maps and will ######### on basically every killer. And pop all gens with the killer getting 3 to 4 hooks.
A lot of killers besides spirit/nurse don't seem to be having that issue with pressure.
Sure haddonfield is annoying, but otherwise I think most maps are balanced, unless you're playing a killer like Billy on an indoor map.
I do have to ask you this, what is a good game for you? a 4k?
-
I would be happier if it was RPD instead

Yes that is correct. However the quality of all 4 survivors is NOT the same. And that's what makes killer bearable.
So you don't want quality survivors you want to go against noobs?

Couldn't tell you. Not playing again until the next test. I was worried I may be spoiled if I tried it but now I don't want to go back to how it is normally.
I didn't even think of being spoiled tbh. I was having good teams finally, even though a lot more camping killers, but I'd rather have a camping killer every match than a bad team.
This is actually awful I might end up having to wait for the next test as well.

Glad it's back. The maps/gen speeds are not where they need to be for SSMM to work
Maps and gen speeds are the same with Ranking system or MMR.

Solo player here and I still get SWF in my team all the time.

Im willing to bet it wasn't 9 out of 10 who camped. More to the point. It wasn't the camping that did them in. It's the fact that map size, map lay outs, gen speeds are pretty damn unfair. Especially if you're facing 4 solid survivors who know how to be effecient and are half competent at looping.
Yes, you know more about my games than I do. Sure thing.
Way to turn my comment about solo Q being better to a victim post about how hard killer is.
-
I see as many threads complaining about FNAF as I see positive FNAF threads

Now play killer. Have 4 gens done by the time you get 2-3 hooks. And let's see how you feel
I mean 9 out of 10 killers I've faced did complain about genrush but all they did was camp the hook or tunnel a single survivor.

Depends on the leaks.
I dont mind skins being leaked and stuff like that, but sometimes it can ruin a bit of the "mystery" like when Ghostface was leaked.
-
4,638 hours and 141 out of 179 achievements

As someone who mostly plays solo surv, I want it to stay. Had way better team mates.

Nope. If I ate my favorite food every day, I’d get pretty sick of it. If I watched my favorite movie all day, I’d stop even noticing it. It has nothing to do with popularity.
That analogy doesn't really work with the topic. When people mention horror movies, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw, Scream etc ALWAYS get mentioned, doesn't make me dislike them more or not watch them just because they get mentioned more.

Okay well I'm glad for you. But your experiences aren't universal. You personally might not suffer from burnout but clearly a lot of other people here do.
So we can agree you didn't want MIchael, Freddy, Ghostface, Silent Hill and RE in DBD either correct?
Since what you're saying, is the more people talk about x, the less you want it in DBD.

I can't speak for anyone else but this can absolutely be the case for me.
It's similar to hearing a song and liking it and then it becomes played everywhere. You hear it on TV adverts, the radio, in stores over the intercom, from your neighbour's open window etc to the point where it just becomes irritating. At its core, it's still a song you enjoy - you're just burned out from hearing it SO much in a short span of time. But that doesn't mean you can't give it a break and come back to the song at a later date.
The same thing applies to FNaF.
I mean I already liked Silent Hill, and people spamming theories about it before it was added didn't make me want it any less.
I play the game for the game, and I'm happy to see characters I like being added. Idc what the other people who play the game like or don't when it comes to my own taste.
-
Has happened to me as well. It's BS. As survivor you even keep your item.

Sorry, let me make that clearer: I wouldn’t even want to see his name, let alone see him as killer. I’d be burned out him by then.
So your taste depends on whats popular or not?

Personally, yeah, I would be annoyed. I’d like Jason, but if he was spammed constantly, I’d be so ######### sick of hearing about him that I wouldn’t even want to see his name for a while.
Not wanting to see his name =/= not wanting to see him in the game though.
From what I've been told on this thread, FNAF will not be in the game because people keep talking about it.

Of course there are children playing this game which is obviously a problem parents are not capeable to handle (or they simply dont care). But at least from what i see from social medias, DbD has a much more mature playerbase then a game like Fortnite or... FnaF.
Again, why should we make DbD more attractive for children?
And why should we want more toxic kids? These are no rhetorical questions.
Last but not least, again, there are other great licenses around, DbD is in no need to get this one.
"Toxic kids"... Though you say DBD is mostly adults, yet there are a lot of toxic people in it still.
I don't think someone's age has anything to do with being toxic or not.
I have never played FNAF, and I'm 27 years old, yet I think the hate people who want a FNAF chapter are getting is more immature than them liking FNAF itself.

@xEa said:
There are plenty of good licenses around, why should we care for FNAF? In fact the playerbase of FNAF is notorious for beeing full of children. Do we need those kids around in DbD? Usually, at least from my experience, they tend to be toxic. Something i can despense.
You think DBD isnt full of kids as well? It's not like you need to show your ID before you buy the game to see if you're really 18+

Solo Q nerfs.

They seem to be hacking cosmetics now too, since I just saw a feng with an unreleased skin (you can see her kind of behind me on the floor, with one of the skins that have been leaked. I do not see it in the store right now so I'm assuming it was hacked).
Same thing as another game, after we were all downed, we kept getting up and being instantly healed, even though no one had unbreakable. It was probably the feng doing it as well.
-
Pyramid Head imo

I have a theory that the number of hackers haven't really increased, it's just that higher MMR players are seeing them a lot because obviously hackers are going to win every game and thus have high MMR. But yeah, I had a match with a speedhacking Nea who somehow still died to me, and a Claire with no hitbox while on a gen, 20 second flashlight blinds, and a DS every time I went to pick her up.
Wouldnt you somehow get those at red ranks too?

@Bwsted said:
Usually when this happens in games, it's because new public hacks become available.
In this case, I suspect the spike might've been caused by the modding patch. So, many of those who used modding not for customization, but for unfair advantages, have now turned to more aggressive solutions.
Totally unrelated, I'm sorry I haven't contacted you yet after reaching out in your looking-for-players thread. I've been playing only dailys for a while due to some irl committments, but I'll be back fully in about a week.
It's weird because in so many hours, these past weeks I have seen as much as I have in years.
Just earlier I had a spirit that would know where everyone was, slugged everyone and then got everyone up, just to slug everyone again, she did it like 4 times. No one had unbreakable and people would just insta heal. This person had 300 hours, so it's not like they were using a smurf account to do it.
Same with a nancy that would hook herself on the hook a twins was trying to hook other people. It's just weird how aggressive with showing the hacks these people have become, almost like they know they arent going to get punished anyway.
And no problem :)

Yeah if you're just interesting in skins then this chapter was pretty good. Oh to be so easily pleased. I envy them.
I never said I was pleased with the chapter tho........
-
Only salvation for this chapter was Leon.
Map looks great, but it's awful for this game.
Nemesis is boring to face, and the zombies even though it's an interesting concept, work awfully, for both sides.
Perks are meh.
I like Claire's and Chri's skins, but I find Jill to be really bland.
-
Dead hard is fine. A perk is supposed to benefit you, that's why people use perks.
Sprint burst is way more annoying to go against.
Devs need to stop nerfing everything because of a vocal minority of cry posts on the forums.

Yes they did say that months ago, and even in the latest mmr post they made a few days ago.
Not to call you out or anything, but it does really amaze me just how many people don't read that part of the post.
I did read it, and again, where are the points for rank? last one was 2 days ago, and still nothing. I don't feel called out because I'm not the one promising things for months and not delivering

Midwich is a blessing compared to RPD.
Even as someone who has played RE 2, I find it horrible for DBD.

There are ranks, they'll be based on how much bloodpoints you receive at rank reset.
They aren't replacing the ranking system, just the matchmaking system.
When did they say you'd be getting bloodpoints for ranks? Wasn't that months ago? I dont see it coming anytime soon.
-
@MyNamePete said:
I feel like they're only measured through kills or escapes. I hope it goes more in-depth than that but I doubt it.
But it also makes more sense to keep the emblems tied to the rank system more.
But if MMR comes to replace the ranking system, why would emblems matter then? If there's no ranks, and the emblems are only associated with ranks, emblems don't really matter.
I do hope MMR is not only measured through kills/escapes, because that will only benefit SWF, camping/tunneling. Which are already things that have more pros than cons and most people don't enjoy.

That is fair. Semantics seems to be what separates us here. I think we both agree that a fellow survivor should be saved before second stage in the early game. Right?
I think we are debating whether OP meant that in this particular post. In either way, my belief is the same. Save someone before second stage. You can always return to a genny. And if your teammate is killing themselves, it's better to save them and keep the 4 v 1 then to let them die and have a 3 v 1 with 4 gennys left.
Totally, one hook stage is as important if not more than a gen, so i'd rather save than let a survivor go to second stage. And depending on where it is, I dont think the gen will regress more than 30%, so it isnt a huge lost.
-
@Clevite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2428261#Comment_2428261
He mentioned going down in 10 seconds, survivor attempting to kill themselves on hook as they finished a genny. An early one. They state, "if you can't run the killer for a gen, be prepared to stay on hook until one is completed"
Pretty clear, this is a gens before friends, situation at the early game. No thanks, I'd rather be saved and have a chance to play too. Going down early can happen to anyone.
He also said "you want everyone else to stop what they’re doing to come and get you immediately" which implies they started killing themselves IMMEDIATELY after being hooked.
-
Fog and luck offerings are a joke and a waste of BP.

@Clevite said:

I have no problem prioritizing a genny.
But, if someone goes down quickly, and you are allowing them to go to second stage to finish 1 genny, not value.
A second hook stage is much more valuable than finishing an early gen. Now the last gen is a different story.
He didnt mention second stage anywhere tho, it could have been a survivor who was only 5 seconds on hook
-
That's the team mate being greedy. Just go to the gate and escape next time instead of waiting for hatch,
-
@Clevite said:
Can I get your screen name so I can leave the lobby if we are ever matched together?
What did he say wrong tho? Unless the survivor is going to second stage, I dont see what the issue is with prioritizing a gen when ruin is still up, specially if it's already at 80%
