can someone explain?
Okey, so i was playing a round as killer, everything is going normal, untill i pick up a survivor, and as im trying to hook him, i get that i was disconnected from the match, or lost connection to host. (forgot to take a pic of that). i get this screen. and i have gotten BP from the match
But then i get to this
and before i get told my internet cut out, i checked that (wired, and i actually have a trace running from my ISP for testing, and they could tell me when i phoned them, that at no point was my connection to the internet lost.
so im at a real loss as to what the hell happened, and why im for some reason apparently punished for what i assume is the server derping out

The DC penalty is back and unfortunately, is ######### over people whose games freeze or crash.
If your pc they can ddos you. What i understand is hacking the server and dc the killer
Has happened to me as well. It's BS. As survivor you even keep your item.
You can get ddos on consoles as well.
Thats the part that wonders me, i have had my internet cut out, and on that occasion, the game over screen showed me as DC'ed. this time it did not.
It's a rare bug, but it's existed for a long time. Sometimes it even happens if the game is canceled on loading because someone else dc'd.
