I don't have a problem with noed, but I also think it can be changed in certain things.
Like someone else in another thread said, if noed is active, as soon as the last gen is finished you should be able to know it's active without having to take a hit.

I don't disagree. The problem is the developers clearly do.
They are nerfing killers based on "FUN" because survivors keep disconnecting against them and raising the kill stats. This is exactly why pinhead has high kill rates. If i get a chain hunt going, on a map that i know the box spawns on, survivors will generally Dc by the third wave. It isn't rare. I won't be shocked if hoarder is nerfed within a year.
Deathslinger was nerfed specifically because of "FUN". His kill stats were not that high and he had clear counterplay and was easy to beat thanks to having zero map pressure.
I have seen more dev interaction in streamers chats then i ever have here. I don't know if developers actually read anything here, or are just told things by the mods.
I also hate huntress since most of them seem to have 100 ping, but there are plenty of people who love playing against her and she is usually the comparison for what the haters want for ranged killers (slow, wind up, noise notifications, large terror radius)
That is an issue not only with the community but with the devs as well then.
People pay way too much attention to what streamers say when they should be making their own judgement by playing the game themselves.
Devs have been too worried about doing these streams with streamers as guests and whatever else, while the rest of the community, which can be as good and invested in the game, get ignored.
Most recent nerfs were made not because people really asked for it, but because for the devs unfun = needs a nerf.

There were plenty of wraith threads and a bunch of stuff on other forums and streamers complaining.
Pinhead has not had many complaints here specifically, but most streamers are complaining about how "unfun" he is and they always cry about engi fang when it is used. No idea about steam or twitter posts though.
Deathslinger has always had random posts made about him here and plenty of comments in other topics. Streamers and youtubers made videos about him spreading the "no counterplay" mantra even though anyone that plays him beyond sentient rock level sees the counterplay in action.
the killer is unfun =/= the killer is op and needs a nerf. Forever Freddy was also unfun but still wasn't overpowered, just as an example.
I think going against huntress is unfun, doesn't mean I think she needs a nerf.
What streamers say isn't a general thing. I rarely watch any streamers and I don't think they should be seen as the voice of the community in general.
The only thing deathslinger needed was a sound cue when he aims, the same thing huntress has when she gets her hatchet up. Everything that was nerfed about him was not asked for. Same goes for the billy nerf and for the POP nerf.

And again it is punishing only soloq, because swfs just simply tell each other that "insidious camping bubba, finish gens and leave".
It should at least be visible with kindred.

Hearing things around you as killer? OP
One of the reason I also hate the perk "whispers". It's more annoying than actually useful.
Plague should get some kind of border to show the power is still active instead of random sounds.
-
I agree. It's really distracting specially since you do need to hear what's around you.

It doesn't need a nerf; it needs a complete re-work.
This. Perk is only good for camping. Make it do something that is actually useful for those who want to play the game instead of just standing still.

"People always say the same with this threads about q times taking linger but they never really do"
Idk to me that sounds really similar to I'm right and your wrong does it not?
No I'm not pulling these facts of anywhere I'm basing it off the universal fact that if you give survivors a strong perk of obviously its gonna be harder to play killer just like if killer got a strong perk survivor would be harder that's a fact
Look man ik you got a heavy survivor bias but some off us see the bullshit of both sides
I never said your que times were anything I said mine take longer
At this point I'm really struggling to understand if you understand English properly I can help you if you need further clarification
Or maybe it's just my experience? So yes, my experience is right for me.
Q times have been the same for me since "strong perk" has been introduced.
I understand english just fine, even though it's not my first language, thanks for the useless remark :)

During the day yes, me too. But I think OP is talking about peak hours, aka SWF time.
It has always been like that tho, it's nothing new. It's the opposite for killer for me.
During the day: instant for survivor, killer takes 3 mins.
Nighttime: instant for killer, survivor takes 3 mins.

Apples and oranges homie
Your saying people are lying about their queues times and are wrong
He's saying his queue times are longer cause killers are getting harder and harder to play vs boon squads
One of these is a opinion and one of these a well accepted fact by the community
I'm sure you can figure it out
Can you quote me where I said "you are lying about your q times"? Because I never said that. Or are you pulling these "facts" out of where the sun doesn't shine?
My q times are still instant as survivor, so how is that? Werent you the one saying they arent? Or are you the one calling me a liar?

No offense but you can't tell someone else how long their queue times are your not them
I agree I'm east coast us and survivor ques take 5-15 mins each nowadays when last week it was maybe 1-3 mins at most
Apply that same logic to the OP then. Or is it not the same?

Yea? Then it sounds like just complaining then. There is counters. If you dont wanna counter it, then thats their problem. Then they shouldnt complain about it. Mind as well just get rid of all items and perks at that point. No point in builds. Or items. Give every survivor the same perks. Right? Do you see how that sounds? Pretty stupid right?
Yes ive read it. And i still think those people are stupid and wanna complain to complain. Idk. Easy solutions, yet for some reason no one wants to do it.
Now about your phead comment. How old ds we talking here? Because there is a counter to ds. Dont tunnel. But the difference between that ds im sure you talking about is killers literally couldnt do ######### to survivors for 60 seconds. Where as noed is extremely counterable. Apples and oranges. Good try tho.
Old DS also had counters, so were all the people saying it was OP complaining?
Or is it only complaining when it's against a perk you think it's fine?

I experience the same in the US, but that's only because there are far fewer people playing survivor during the day. In the evening it's a different story altogether. There aren't enough Killers so wait times are ridiculously long, and it's only going to get worse given how poor the Killer experience now is.
People always say the same with this threads about q times taking a long time but they never really do.

Like, as an example
lets picture a running race.
player 1 is winning, player 2 is losing.
Noed bassically is the same as if they gave a bicycle to the losing player.
CoH is like if they gave player 1 a motorcycle while also breaking player 2´s knees
So you lose when you're already losing, but you have the possibility to win if you were winning with CoH.
While with Noed in the situation I mentioned you just lose, even if you were winning.
-
@Miles said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2653504#Comment_2653504
Its not the same. You are depicting a winning game being turned into a lose one. Circle of healing turns games you are losing into games that you are losing even harder.
Just because it isn't the exact same doesn't make the argument any less valid.
It's still a perk that turns a situation around.
-
I think the loading tips need to stay "noob friendly" because it can help new players. Players who already know them can just ignore them.
Or give us the ability to just turn them on/off.
-
My survivor Q times are instant during the day in the EU with crossplay off.

You know whats crazy? Everyone complaining about noed. And saying its unfair for solo surv. Yet they could just make a half ass build, Or bring a map to deal with totems. Hell counter force itself is really good for anti-totems. Reading everyones response, its less of noed is strong and more "i dont wannna. I just wanna do gens".
All it takes is one survivor to get some totems.
"But why do solo have to use a perk that swf gets for free" ...because you dont have friends? Idk..
If im being blunt, crying about noed when boon totems, maps, Inner healing, smallgame, counterforce, detectives hunch is such a stupid thing. Literal freaking tools to deal with noed. But yet all i see is "why should i bring an item/perk to deal with it". Its less of noed is op and more survs wanna complain about something.
Prob ruffled some feathers. Tbh. Idc. There is way more unbalanced things than noed.
I think you might have missed a lot of posts on this thread mentioning why bringing an item/perk to counter something is a problem.
It's like saying if you didn't like old DS, just play pyramid head.
-
@Miles said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2653479#Comment_2653479
i dont think i follow what you are trying to say.
Circle of Healing counters the playstyle of many killers through the entire game, NoeD doesnt really counter a play style at all, not even altruism since you can still tank hits with endurance. and it only works after the game is almost over
NoeD can turn a losing game into a winning game, but CoH makes sure a losing game stays a losing game.
im still confused about what you meant.
II literally gave an example of a "playstyle" which is to rush gens against facecamping killers. Which can also be applied against high tier killers, since the fastest they are done the better.

There's nothing wrong with "whining" about unbalanced mechanics, just because the top players who play Nurse and Blight can perform well doesn't mean the game is balanced. It's not even fun to face the same killers every time.
Also, a lot of good killers "ignore" the boon totems not because they're bad, but because gen speeds are that oppresive that you just can afford to waste time snuffing them, which is the point of my post lol. But boons totems are OP and that's not an opinion, it's just a fact. Time management as a killer is crucial, anyone with more than 10 games realized that, and boon totems give one more objective to killers who already are on a tight rope in terms of time control.
There is a lot of wrong with "whining" because whining isn't constructive criticism. Saying something is OP while not giving an intelligent balance idea, is just clutter.
I can also come on here and just say "x or y op pls nerf", how does that add to a discussion at all? Even if it is OP and needs a nerf, saying just that is not constructive.
I never mentioned boon perks being op/bad, I didn't give an opinion on that.
Like someone said above, gens aren't the issue, specially when you have 10+ gen regression perks that you can just use. It's mostly map sizes, which low tier killers with bad mobility can't keep up with. Why do you think blight and nurse are high tier? Both have really fast mobility. Same could be said about spirit and old hillbilly.

Not really, thats people having the wrong mindset that mmr is a rating of how good you are. It's not and it never was.
It's not an indication of how good you are but how good your opponents should be.
If you get kills with camping and noed you should start facing stronger survivors that can deal with those cheese tactics.
If you like hooking everybody twice but don't get kills you should start facing weaker survivors so you can play nice and get kills
If you did nothing and escaped you should face stronger killers who don't lose what's essentially a 3v1.
Where would the logic be that a person that does nothing and can escape keeps facing weaker and weaker killers? Why should a killer that can camp and get a 4k by one hooking everyone face weaker survivors?
The mindset of high mmr= good and low mmr = bad is flawed. But you can't blame people thinking that when they start calling it skill based matchmaking while it has nothing to with skill.
It's just an equaliser to the number of deaths and escapes. Nothing more, nothing less
To compare how good your opponent needs to be... that comparison has to come from you? So it totally has to do with each other.
The best tactic against a facecamping killer is to rush gens, but to rush gens, you need to focus only on gens, not waste time doing totems.
I never said this MMR is based on skill, that was exactly the point of my post, saying it's not based on skill but escapes/kills.

-
@Miles said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2653438#Comment_2653438
the problem lies in that, a single perk cucked killers that were considered mid high tier, like Wraith as a good example. i dont think a single perk being capable of screwing over that many killers, that not all of them have the same play style, means that a lot of killers are bad.
Couldnt the same be said about a perk like noed?
A won game, can be turned into a lost one because of noed. You see a lot of this when you get a facecamping killer, so you rush gens to not give him more than 1k, but then he has noed. This is seen a lot in solo Q.
So, if that wasn't an issue, how could a single perk on the survivor side, have the same effect and be an issue? I'm gonna assume you're talking about Boon: CoH.
-
It could make it more spooky, fun? I don't really know.
I think we could still have the choice to use 3rd or 1st person since neither gives an advantage.

I still think EU killers are good. My take was that most people who are here on the forums whining, aren't really playing the game. The ones who I've been going against, are doing just fine, maybe because they spend more time playing the game than typing on online forums. Almost like playing more = you get better.
I never even mentioned NA, since I do not play on NA.
-
@Miles said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2653401#Comment_2653401
You also have to take into account the killers they are using.
As a wraith main, of course i left the game. they nerfed my boy and made a perk that hard counters his most effective playstyle. legion´s performance might have dropped a bunch too.
In crossplay off I mostly get nurse, blight, a few huntresses. But tbf, it's the same killers I was getting with crossplay on, but these ones just seem to play better in general.
I've even been getting good billys with crossplay off, which is something I was not seeing at all with cross on.
Saying depends on the killers, yes you are correct on that, but wouldn't that show if higher tier killers are doing good, it's mostly a problem with there being a lot of crappy tier killers?
I think the solution for that would be buffing all the low tier killers so they can compete with higher tiers, than just saying "survivors op pls nerf", which is something I see a lot of people stating.
-
I was arguing with the fact that you stated that survivor q times take a lot, when that's not really true.
Re-read it, and you're still wrong.
If you want to back up your argument, at least use factual evidence, not just something you pulled out of "killer good survivor bad".
-
Unfortunately MMR is just flawed, since it only considers kills/escapes.
Got kills because camped+noed? = skill
Hooked everyone twice but didn't get a kill? = trash
Did nothing all game but escaped? = skill
Did 5 gens, got max on chase and max on altruism but died? = trash.

Depends on the times for me, night time instant queues. Day time 1-2 min wait
Survivors- day time 3-4 mins wait, night time 10+ mins wait.
This is just averagely though, and might be different dependant on servers.
Also, I'm on EU servers
For me with crossplay off EU:
Survivor: Instant during the day, takes max 3 minutes at night.
Killer: around 3 minutes during the day, instant at night.
-
His rework was lazy and didn't really make him any better. Still a low tier killer.

The game is just not fun to play right now as killer, do yourself and the community a favor and take a break till they nerf boon totems and actually balance their game.
They won't fix their game if people are playing and paying.
Killer ques are instant right now, survivor ques take like 10 minutes, just keep those times going up and survivors will eventually have to be nerfed. Que up survivor only, only do your dailies as killer and then that's it.
Survivor Queues right now for me are instant even with crossplay off.
Maybe EU killers are just better at the game and don't care much about boons.

If no totems are made and Noed is active at the end, the survivors still have a chance to find the totem. This 4/5 solo argument is just a cop-out. If the killer catches a survivor with noed, it is the survivor's fault, not the killer's.
"it's your fault" isn't an argument.
Play more solo Q.

I find Freddy fun to go against and play as in his current state, but, old Freddy was way more of an interesting concept than he is now.

They should have kept his original design and just buff him, instead of changing him completely.

Now that boons exist the nerf makes even less sense.
"We don't want you to be able to get into a chase after hooking someone just to use PGTW on a gen after slugging them. But having a survivor heal with a boon totem and a medkit in 6 seconds mid-chase is perfectly fair and balanced."
How does POP have anything to do with Boons?
