I can see this being useful for killers who are map dependent. The issue with that is imagine you're playing Billy and you're trying to avoid an indoor map, you can use an offering to not go to lerys sure, but then you get sent to the game, or rpd.

Blendettes would never find a game again.

No thanks.

They should remove perk tiers and when it comes to prestiging have character levels go to 150 instead of resetting. Before when there were only 30 perks and 5 characters it made sense to have this type of grind to keep people playing. Now that the game has grown and continues to grow the grind is more overwhelming than it is fun and they need to make changes.
Getting all the perks on a character without prestiging takes millions of bloodpoints, millions more if you do reset. They should definitely remove the reset requirement and instead make it every 50 levels up to 150 to prestige.
3 tiers of perks is pointless addition to the grind - either remove it or change to allow players to switch between which tier they want to use. If there's no point aside from adding to the grind there is 0 reason to keep them.
The grind in this game is why if I ever logged in one day and all my stuff was removed I wouldn't bother contacting support for the few million BP they think makes up it. I'd uninstall and never look back.
Never thought about the level 150 thing. prestige 1 level 50, prestige 2 level 100 and prestige 3 level 150, and you wouldnt need to reset everything and lose all the perks/addons/offerings/items. I really like that.

Bruh for real?
I say GG EZ when I kill people and when I dominate killers. Say what you will but at least I'm honest unlike most on here.
You can't say someone's opinion don't matter. I don't even do that and I just got out of forum jail. just argue but don't say that.
Your opinion only matters if it's to say "killer good survivor bad", that's how echo chambers work, which happens to be a problem on these forums unfortunately.
-
The grind made sense years ago when we had very few killers and survivors. Now, with so many of both, it just gets grindier and grindier with every chapter release.
One of my first thoughts when something new comes out now is "great, now to level them up and everyone else to get their perk."
Most perk tiers are completely useless, so at this point with so many of them, they need to remove the tiers.

Yeah, they were in the killer shack. I think 2 booked it out the door opposite (should have gone for them). I heard someone vault the window to the right, which was against the edge of the map, so I tried going for them. Fruitlessly, then I got a notification that a gen was at 70% on the other side of the map. I gave up the chase and chainsawed over to that.
If it's impossible than it's far more likely I'm missing something.
Only 2 people can heal a survivor, not all 3 at the same time.

What's a "noob tube"?
I main Freddy and Pig, and I seem to do quite alright with him as well. My build is usually: BBQ, POP, Bamboozle and Lethal Pursuer. I only use fake pallets addons.

too many topics. here face camping. becouse healthy grab is only possible from camp.
Or be like those salty survivors. you hook, two try to save, you defend the hook, guy on hook dies, sends saltiness how u suck with camping.
Now enjoy running around all safe loops, abusing snowman to get 2nd chance, DH validation. so that in that 1minute chase 3 gens will pop and you will say GG ez win :)
but as long the games is evolving around balancing “4” v 1 and where “equal” mmr will never be balanced game in 4v1, ill enjoy some sweat killer matches otherwise enjoy abusing mentioned and boons, and call how game is balanced becouse BHVR loves survivors more
I literally never said "gg ez" in my 5k hours of playing time. Are you projecting?
You seem quite upset about the game, and are blaming it all on "survivors op" "survivors toxic" "devs only like survivors", have you thought about the possibility that maybe, just maybe, you just need to practice more?
There are things that are definitely not great about this game and do need adjusting, but I think a lot of it you seem to be projecting towards others when the problem isn't there, and it isn't helpful at all.

No i just love how in all posts, you sweat to last drop defending how balanced and hard to win as survivor is, while always mocking on how killer is OP in all aspects and calling a author of a post how most likely is unskilled trash.
day will come, eventually in next decade where they will decide to tweak on a killer side. I bet 100e ull be that first in a row crying
I literally never mentioned something being "balanced" or "hard to win", and I never said any killer is OP. Care to quote where I said any of that or are you just gonna keep on posting low effort comments because you're salty?
-
I don't understand. You say toxicity is increasing, but you say teabagging and clicking your flashlight isn't toxic. So what is? Imo perks cannot be toxic, they're in the game to be used for your advantage, which has nothing to do with toxicity.
Good example of this is noed. It can be frustrating to go against sometimes, but is it toxic? No. Same goes for all the perks you mentioned.

It's still inspired on something that brought a lot of grief to people, which shouldn't be used for entertainment purposes.
-
Because killers already need to be very skilled to facecamp, so they need something to help them do it better.
-
Second thread I see about this in a short time which I totally agree with. I'm glad there are more people who find her whispers when she has her power incredible obnoxious and distracting. They need to give another indication that her power is active without it distracting the player.

More killers inspired by an in real life serial killers. Maps focused arounded those places while the murders were taking a place for example: Home where kitchen would covered in blood on the walls, human meat in bowls, dismembered body parts laying on the floor etc. Something creepy and can give a trauma.
That is a terrible idea. Imagine if one of your family members was murdered by a serial killer and then see it in a video game. Just no.
-
Any culture as long as it's an interesting character.
I think we need more creatures/monsters in general.
Lycanthrope/Werewolf, Vampire, Gargoyle, etc etc.
Maybe something focused in Europe or Native American folklore/mythology.
-
Sandbagging survivors.
People who dont do anything all game and just hide and the killer decides to give them hatch.

Ok, maybe you should put more practice into it to get better? No one is good at the game when they're new.

Right? This thread is basically what all the forums have turned into. "Killer good survivor bad" "I'm forced to camp/tunnel" "nerf this or that"
-
@RoachesDelight said:
I'm convinced at this point that half the people on this forum's only joy in life comes from complaining about anything they possibly can. So many killers have quit playing because of how badly they've been nerfed or how painful it can be to play killer. Which has forced killers to tunnel or camp just to get some pressure going and get a kill. As annoying as it can be when it happens to me I can't even be mad at them for doing it. Then as survivor once you reach a certain level you go against the same killers over and over again because there are very few viable killers. All the whining and complain has gotten the game to the point it is today and what's the result? More whining and complain from the same people. Y'all just really want to have you cake and eat it too huh?
PS I used to love going against old Spirit because of how she made me feel a sense of heightened anticipation and now, I seen her once since Octoberish and it was so sad going against her knowing exactly where she is and it was such a boring game.
Yes. Devs really need to stop listening to whiners on the forums. Just look at your thread, saying you can only win if you camp and tunnel.

I always use BBQ and WGLF and I never prestige. It makes it manageable with avg 35k survivor games and 50-80k killer games. It is a tall order for new players but that is to be expected with a game this old. The grind is what keeps people playing. If you see people who already have everything they are usually streamers and get bored because of it. I enjoy having something to work towards.
I'd say the grind is one of the things that make a lot of new players give up

Thats another thing with this MMR that screws over survivor. Like people are aware that if they die too many times, their teammates will get worse and worse.
So many of them already play more for escapes than anything else, pumping gens and leave asap, warping the flow of entire game.
During ranks, you could still pip even if you died and it was no big deal, still could have fun match with good plays.
Now you are punished for dying more than ever, even tho its just an invisible number
The more you did during the match, the higher your rank was because of pips...
Now you do a lot but still die and it means absolutely nothing. Not like you're getting that many BP as survivor either so what's even the point of doing a lot?
SWF still have the higher escape rate, so even if they aren't amazing, their MMR will still be higher.
-
@ShinobuSK said:

I dont mind blight and huntress until they make half of all my games. Variety is needed and it feels dry with same killers over and over.
And I know what you saying, if you get bad matchmaking of your team, doesnt matter what perks are in play.
I was really expecting MMR would calculate hooks and chase time as well, but I guess BHVR was satisfied with this system.
This system that basically judges survivor skill just by escaping, which is only 1 out of 4 emblems of old matchmaking...we can only hope they listen and change it
That and once you're back to low MMR good luck getting out of there since team mates just get worse.
I dont understand how someone who hides all game and then gets to escape is more "skillful" than someone who gets chased, goes for saves, gens and dies on hook. But oh well I guess.
-
I wish you only had to prestige once and you'd get all bloody cosmetics that one time. I'm also prestiging all my killers currently since I finished survivors. The grind is insane.

I am getting really good teammates since mmr is on. But my killer games are either too easy or too hard, no in between no matter how long I play same killers over and over.
I personally prefer old matchmaking even if means making my survivor games harder. Its just too inconsistent now
Not to mention I only play against same 5 killers, no variety anymore
I'm on crossplay off since everyone seems to be way more "try hard" on there, including a bit more try hard team mates, but I also mostly get nurses and blights, which I have no problem with again.
I feel like a lot of people who say solo q isnt bad "just use this perk" or "just play this way" forgets that the issue isnt perks or whatever, since I already run kindred and bond in all of my games.
I just shouldnt be getting 10 hour dwights in my lobby when I have 5k hours. I'm just kinda bored of the usual "advice" that helps absolutely nothing. I could have 100 perk slots and run all the perks in the game it still wouldnt help me with team mates who barely have started playing.

When I am at a gen I look around. You only need to focus on it when a skill check comes up. Otherwise it's not hard to scan the area to be sure of you're surroundings. You can even catch the killer coming to you before spine chill if you got your eyes on.
With empathy this becomes ridiculously easy as you are immediately alerted to the killers presence regardless of who they go for you.
I also scan the area, I dont need empathy to know what is going on. I still think empathy is only good if you want a medic build, otherwise, there's way better things to run.

The last SBMM test they did before they implemented it, was the best team mates I had.

Empathy shows injured survivors at a disgustingly huge range.
If you focus on something other then gens you can get a handle on what other teammates are doing and what that means for you.
It makes the killer basically always visible when combined with spine chill.
Sure, but if I dont focus on gens who's gonna do them? My team mates that go down in 10 seconds? Maybe that dwight I got the other day with 10hours total?
-
Survivor: Instant during the day, 3-5 minutes at night.
Killer: 3-5 minutes during the day, instant at night.
I'm in the EU with crossplay off. I also only play solo survivor when I play survivor.
-
Thank you!
-
I think the separate MMR is not working at all.
I'm cross off, and yesterday I went to a lobby as Freddy, dodged it to change to Artist (Which I hadnt played yet) and got the same exact team...
-
I do too. Right now she is one of the most fun to play against imo.

Yes, I invented this word to describe a survivor who camps a killer with a flashlight. The kind who will sit there and stare at you for two minutes waiting for you to pick up the survivor you just downed, even at expense of the gens. I slug people like this, because there's not really another counterplay other than running perks or being able to consistently avoid flashlight beams (I can probably do it 80% of the time, but some survivors are better than others).
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700257#Comment_2700257
I used to always run Lightborn, but... man, that's an entire perk slot. I'll run it if I see two or more flashlights in lobby and I have a slot to spare. If I see three or four, it'd be suicidal not to run it. I've noticed I see less flashlights in the lobby past few months; I think a lot of them are properly scared of Lightborn at this point...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700329#Comment_2700329
This might not have been the greatest, most talented, most skilled SWF to have ever played the game in its history. It seems really important to you to hear me say that, so I admit it. They were definitely very practiced, however.
And, in all fairness, you don't get to genrush against my builds. My Legion was Deadlock/Thana/Ruin/Lightborn (last perk is usually Undying) with the Broken and Mangled addons, and it was a small two-story map where they couldn't easily hide from Killer Instinct. I had people scattered across the map looking for Ruin, and when it was done, they were scattered across the map trying to heal themselves/each other or loop me (they say good survivors don't heal against Legion, but they will if Thana is in play, esp with gen regression perks). If Ruin remains in play for any amount of time, those gens ain't getting done.
My main Michael build (who is my main killer) is Dead Rabbit, Vanity Mirror, M&A, Ruin, BBQ (or Surveillance/Deadlock), and Undying (or Lightborn/NOED). No terror radius, regular speed, instant gen regression, can see you through walls. Good luck with those gens, hope you have Spine Chill.
Also, from what I hear, the main reason I'd get the floor wiped with me is that "tourney" games don't allow the use of any reasonable perks or tactics, and most killer builds are basically Spies/Sloppy Butcher/Bitter Murmur/Brutal Strength.
And no, the guy in the endgame chatbox was anally discomforted.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700339#Comment_2700339

I would imagine that most of us who still play on Stadia use it to play on platforms that DBD doesn't support and switch between Stadia and PC using the cross-progression feature.
I highly recommend it if you want a fun, reliable, usable way to play DBD on mobile (with cross-progression). Can't stand the DBD mobile game, myself.
Stadia's marketing was laughably bad and targeted all the wrong people, but it works well for what it is. Also have CP2077, ESO and the Doom games on there (which I also have on Steam). It's not going anywhere, despite all the negative press.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700745#Comment_2700745
Well, two of them hid in lockers and a snowman, respectably, without any intention of trying to win/further the game, then tauned me in the endgame chat for not being able to (read as: not trying to) find them. They didn't strike me as the model of sportsmanship.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700788#Comment_2700788
Agreed.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700262#Comment_2700262
Am I still a newbie? Been playing for a little over a year and have 1000+ hours. Maybe.
I don't usually get "destroyed" by teams like this anymore, but a solid 4K is a rarity. I can usually manage 2K, and then 1-2 of those usually happen during endgame collapse. But I don't usually outplay them so well in the first half of the game that they go into hiding with two gens left, especially not on Gideon's when Ruin is gone in the first minute.
If you're looking at survivor for 2 minutes because you're afraid to pick them up I think that's a you problem. You can chase them off, use lightborn, look at a wall, use franklins etc

i keep feeling like people automatically know i have Asperger's and take advantage of it, jumping through windows to make noise not caring if i hear them or not
I'm still in the Ash rank because of the re-rank and i still get put with the worst kind of players. I just want matches were we can have at least a bit of respect for each other, but no, its always 'play with the killer'!
I keep getting on the game thinking 'it doesn't matter if i win or not, just stick with the match and get whatever results you can', but then these kind of survivors show up and make me feel like a joke for not being able to catch them.
This kind of thing makes me want to jump into a survivor match and sabotage the whole thing, throw down pallets, destroy bones so no Boons, that kind of thing
So you want to sandbag random survivors because you are having a hard time as killer? And then you wonder and cry about people only wanting to play swf..........

I'm a 100% solo queue player & I agree i've never found it even half as bad as this forum or twitter makes it out to be.
I generally run intel perks kindred, dark sense, spine chill & detectives hunch (use to be small game) & sure swf get most of those perk benefits for free but if more survivors played without the meta or second chances their actual skill would improve.
The biggest issue with solo queue for me is teammates who shouldn't be in my games or players who make stupid plays believing their perks will see them through regardless & more often than not they don't!
I was an initial fan of mmr I must admit during the tests I got really decent results but now not my experience is somewhat mixed, my killers play against survivor levels all over the place (killers I don't use get high rank survivors, my main killers get lambs to slaughter!)
As a survivor most killers I face seem to be very good players for the most part which I'm fine with but as I already covered most of my teammates most certainly aren't likely due to inflated mmr purely from escaping a few games in a row some how or another.
Do you have any gameplay from your games with those perks? Genuinely would like to see a video of that to see how your easy matches without "second chances" are going.

Literally no one is asking for killer nerfs because of solo. They're asking for a solo buff AND killer buffs with it.

Fun means I have gameplay, being a basic attack killer at my games isnt fun because most loops dont have gameplay. Sure if I versed bad or casuals it could be fun but I dont so no I cannot have fun with a bad killer. I just get taunted and BM because they have safe pallets and loops while I have 0 gameplay or choice.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2699436#Comment_2699436
Billy isnt good though, once again not a killer you can really use at a high level where people do gens, you spend so long getting the perfect curve you have wasted alot of time. All of this is due to bad loop design, but I assume we're at different levels of play because you dont see nurse as anti loop and think billy is a good example which btw I haven't seen a billy in months.
Like i said in the OP, if the maps and tiles was made more fair (isnt that hard) alot of killers would be more fun. I massively enjoyed all killers before mmr, now not so much when we balance for a lower level of 2man escape. I cant even play how I wish and be rewarded
Billy isn't good now, but he used to be top 3 before the "rework" and he still wasnt anti loop. Blight isn't anti loop either.

Was just about to ask. First time I've seen this one. If it's just survivors following the killer with a flashlight to get saves, I'd say it's pretty good since they're being useless all match.
If it's a survivor who camps pallets, drops them and blinds the killer, I'd just drop chase, or in the case of OP with lightborn, it's again pretty good since they are too cocky and you usually can get free hits.

This is Freddy from the remake. In the remake it was implied that he was a p*do yes, but never directly mentioned, same as in the dbd lore.
I'm also pretty sure demo's gender was never mentioned in ST.

I dont see any issue with deleting the lore related to relationships or adding more lore related to LGBT issues. I think you just didn't get what that poster was saying.
