Did you see the ending? Saddest anime goodbye ever, LMAO
Also, love the mixed messages in this unusual, blossoming relationship: A tearful goodbye, preceeded by a heavy bash over the head with a mallet :D

As Hillbilly, I have the tendency to pull off brilliant trick shot chainsaw charges, but if someone is literally cornered between a rock and a gen right in front of me, I WILL chainsaw the rock or gen 100% of the time.
-
One of those moments where I could imagine Bubba salute David as he slugs off into the distance.
-
A particular rendition of Adam I call "The Red Hood". Any Adam player I've versed that has worn the red hoodie under that dark jacket has been the cockiest little **** I've ever faced (even moreso than some Neas!).
-
Ghost Face. Irritating, teabagging git who runs after survivors like he's a Scooby-Doo villain.
-
As I play both sides, I have the following opinions:
Survivor - Unless the Killer has been an A**hole I'll stay as long as I can to make sure as many escape as possible without risking myself, but I'd never taunt or teabag the Killer. If I did do that, it's because I've seen the Killer properly face camp, or basically single out and bully a specific survivor. That is a very rare occurance.
Killer - I change my perception and think of horror movies. Sometimes, whilst being chased the person may shout abuse at the killer to taunt them. I treat teabagging as survivors shouting in anger. Takes away the lack of realism teabagging does. Either that, or just imagine them as the 10 year olds they probably are and laugh back.
Effectively, it's just someone pressing a button.
-
Sprint burst is more than a "wait until the killer gets close and sprint" perk. It can be used for quick hook saves, getting around the map quicker and protection. I used it once to prevent a survivor getting downed by running into the Killer, giving them a chance to escape and confusing the Killer.
Maybe it's my own viewpoint, but if I see the Killer coming I'll either hide or get going early and probably give myself more time, than waiting for the Killer to get close before sprinting off. Most Killers know not to hit a survivor who walks away because of sprint burst, effectively defeating its objective
Sprint Burst is already powerful. Any changes would make it too powerful. So no change required.
-
It is very dull and childish to moan about losing. It's much more respected to just communicate to gg or compliment an opponent.
A recent barrle involved me as Wraith and this absolute DEMON of a survivor, who was ultimately Rank 1 (& I certainly say he deserves it!). I finally got them and a 3K, but still contacted them to say that although I got them, they were clearly the better skilled out of us. They were chuffed!
Whether in victory or defeat, just be gracious. If you can't, then just move on and don't message. Salty comments just show how weak those fetuses are mentally.
-
Dc punishments are needed, but it's clear the previous iterations were quickly and easily abused by hackers. BHVR need to rethink how best to approach this. Maybe it all needs to be based on data and done manually, but that feels to me like too much of a slow and cumbersome approach, come to think of it.
-
I like Pyramid Head as he is from both a Killer and Survivor perspective! I like tough Killers which I can beat, but require skill to do so. In the right hands, Pyramid Head is a nightmare, and I mean that in a good way.
-
If I could choose, I'd have the following:
• Alien - Killer: Xenomorph, Survivor(s): Ellen Ripley/ Amanda Ripley
• Silent Hill: The Room - Killer: Walter Sullivan, Survivor(s): Henry Townsend/ Eileen Galvin
• Outlast - Killer(s): Chris Walker/ Richard Trager, Survivor: Miles Upshur
• The Rake - Killer: The Rake, Survivor(s): Ben/ Ashley (terrible movie, but as a chapter it may work)
• Eternal Darkness - Killer: Pious Augustus, Survivor: Alexandra Roivas
and no chance of this, but I'd love it!
• Ghostbusters - Killer(s): Mr Stay Puff/ Zuul/ Vigo (now THAT would be a twist!), Survivor(s): Peter Venkman/ Egon Spenglar/ Ray Stanz/ Winston Zeddemore

Whilst this dlc download has been disappointing, what with the Killer hook issue, drops in performance and graphical glitches (not to mention I have still yet to face The Blight!), I do feel they can make it better.
To me, it's not broken or unplayable, but it's currently frustrating, although I can still have fun during the trials. The biggest frustration is the amount of Survivor disconnects. It still happens every time one gets downed, and really the game is spoilt most by this. If people do this because of frustration at their own inability then that's plain childish. If it's to do with glitches and they are frustrating, come back after the Tuesday patch. Take a break until then, when hopefully there will be a decent improvement.
Personally, I've enjoyed this game and still will. Bugs happen. Sometimes they're minor, and sometimes (like this patch) they're poor, but it's how it's rectified that matters most.
-
It's a shame with the past dlc and patch. Before I had no issues with the game, but then the hill glitch hit (mildly annoying and a little amusing, but still could ruin matches), and with the recent dlc a lot of issues from the hooks to the stickiness to framerates (Xbox here) the game has become less enjoyable.
I am hopeful for the new patch they're bringing out next Tuesday, and I'll try the resolution change suggested tomorrow. However, I really do hope that the mid-chapter patch that comes out will take into account the issues brought out this time.
Honestly, I have probably more faith in them than quite a few here. I'd rather they introduce less things at a time and get them working effectively. All games will have bugs - I hope they reduce the amounts that come out though.
-
People can win with no perks, and in terms of the meta those perks are not always given a chance to use, let alone they are standalone, one-use perks.
I randomize my perks every match and play with them, because at the end of the day either side can use meta perks, but they mean f- all if the basic skills are not there.
-
I'd be happy to see even one Blight! On Xbox, since the dlc, I've yet to face one Blight, which is the first time I've ever known a Killer not played after a dlc! Felix has been more common. In fact, this could be the first dlc that the survivor was more focused on than killer!
-
Something about the DC system coming back either in the same or different form would be welcome.I've had 7 dcs in the last 3 matches alone!

There's a hook bug running rampent
Where killer's can't hook survivors...
Killers would be standing in front of the hook but can't hook... allowing survivors to get freed and denying a hook
I've found I have to re-adjust around the hook to get it to work. The bug's like an inverted version of the hill, whereby instead of trapping you it blocks it off.
The odd thing is that this bug, alongside a couple of others, took a while to materialise. As if something happened afterwards. It was rather strange.

Apologies to anyone who picked PH and was answered by a public service announcement.
He's a forgiving type. Once you've retracted your statements I am sure my client can get back to lesser misdemeaners such as abuse, torture and murder.

I like them, but I also thought they would be put in places where walls originally were, rather than blocking pre-existing doorways. So I'm a bit disappointed they blocked off the school in the way they have.

Hate to poo-poo the idea of Pyramid Head as a #########, but from the mouth of Masahiro Ito himself.
https://mobile.twitter.com/adsk4/status/1263050285062094848So, in reality, Pyramid Head may be having a false accusation against him. He could pursue you for damages!

Just clarifying the point about The Entity being fought off: Felix was saved, but the adults who charged in to save him and the others all disappeared without a trace.
Clearly, those adults must have done their homework. However, it sounds like The Entity simply traded the Pariahs for their parents.
Alternatively, did The Entity threaten the Pariahs with the intent of luring the parents, who may perhaps offer it more sustinance?
I agree that The Entity can be tackled, but I'm not so certain in this case it was beaten away.
-
I'm not quite sure. The one I'd be closest to would be Claudette, but I'm more likely a mixture.
I'd say I'm mainly Claudette, but with a mix of Cheryl, Adam, Dwight and Jake.
-
Sounds like an idea to try! Hopefully, BHVR are looking into such ideas.
-
Fixated isn't even required against Spirit. Playing both sides, I get how the scratch marks appear and imagine in my head what pattern they make. Alongside listening for that eeiry sound when she's close you can avoid her without.
Cannot say it's 100% survival, obviously. But with so many possible versions of outcomes to a single action that's to be expected.
-
I would upvote this, but it's currently at 69, and I can think of no other number apt for this discussion.
-
I have coffee in the morning and tea later on. Mind you, it's only Dorset Tea (Yorkshire Tea is second, if no Dorset Tea is available). I just cannot go back on to other teas now.
-
On Xbox I'm starting to experience times where frequently - for about a second or so - Killer will suddenly slow down. As if moving through toffee, or driving in a car doing bunny hops. An odd analogy, but it's very disjointed. I've never experienced that prior to this dlc.
-
I haven't seen some of the new offerings yet, but they sound like they should be hidden too, in which case that may reduce the chance it could be a Mori. The only hidden offerings a Killer has are 3 types of Moris and the Shroud of Separation. It's still childish to dc, but the odds are it's a Mori.
-
Yup! It's in the notes and actually is one of my most welcome additions to the new patch!
-
People can communicate a number of things from the few gestures they already have. Nodding and shaking already happens. Sighing has no benefit whatsoever other than being a dick.
Pointing, waving over, teabagging... there are many ways to communicate already. Teabagging already has a few variations: Constant teabagging = 10 year old playing; 2 quick teabags = thank you; teabag after pallet drop = tactic to keep the Killer chasing.
Pointing could mean to send a survivor to do something, but also pointing then running in the opposite direction could also mean you know where the Killer is.
Really, there are many ways to communicate already, and with other much needed attention required for other areas, gestures are fine as they are. I don't want this game becoming Fortnite.

I'm just saying I know I'll get ######### builds but everyone I face will somehow have nothing but pure meta perks.
I do get what you mean. Maybe they could have coding in place that tiers the perks, so when they're randomized the percentage of getting a higher tier perk is less, or a code that only allows one perk to be selwcted from each tier?
-
My torso has been diced into oblivion many a times by The Ghost Face, having no idea how to hide from my birds-eye view from the hook. It can be rather funny :D

As much as I'd love that, I know my luck. Every game, I'd get Spies, Lightborne (with no flashlights), Iron Grasp, and Unrelenting, yet the one time I'd try it as survivor the killer would somehow get Pop, BBQ, Thrilling, and STBFL on Freddy.
Granted, luck would be involved. However, each perk has its own advantages, and learning how to use those perks effectively can result in being skilled in areas your typical Survivor/ Killer hasn't prepared for.
Ironically, I use a DBD Randomizer app for every match and it's impressive how people can 4K/ escape with even the most ridiculous perk combos with no synchronicity. Legitimately, your example of 4 Killer perks I've had on Hillbilly very recently and got a 3K against a mix ofnpurple and red ranks.
Perks do help, but skill and experience are far more effective. Plus, nothing better than escaping a trial with nothing but Slippery Meat as your aid :D
-
I'd be in favour of a mode whereby you choose your character, but all perks, add-ons and offerings are randomized. This mode may also offer greater rewards as a result.
-
To be honest, the whole realm is a death trap. It needs complete renovation, and with their extra strength, powers and background the Killers could each have a role to play:
The Trapper: General Manager and Pest Control
The Wraith: Engineer
The Hillbilly: Construction
The Nurse: On-site medical treatment
The Shape: Window/Door fitter
The Hag: Carpets and quick transportation of goods.
The Doctor: Electrician (for the love of God, keep him away from medical!)
The Huntress: Raw material supplier
The Cannibal: Foundation and basement renovation
The Nightmare: Architect (for that home you always dreamed of!)
The Pig: Engineer, as with Wraith
The Clown: Asbestos removal and entertainment
The Spirit: Security (cheaper and more deadly than security cameras)
The Legion: Manual labour (keeps them out of mischief)
The Plague: Project Manager
The Ghost Face: Makes the tea
The Demogorgon: Transportation of goods too large for The Hag to carry.
The Oni: Historian and collector of artifacts found on-site.
The Deathslinger: Head of Security
The Executioner: Demolitions expert
I'm sure the survivors could chip in too!

OK you guys are going too far 😅
Not far enough. 2 metre distance = 6.56 feet.
-
I'm not sure if it's even insured, actually! Maybe, just maybe, Survivors could bring in the union.
-
Xbox seems to be running fine. Besides better graphics, the gameplay is decent. Not noticed much of a change otherwise. Yet am so glad that hill glitch has been fixed!

I usually try and create builds that have synergy with each other, like DH, WGLF. Aftercare, and I want to say MoM but that perk is garbage, I never get any real use out of it in trials. Another build I tried was No Mither, Resilience, DH and Prove Thyself, you'll be a terror to gens with that one. Though I have to say, DH isn't that great, half the time I use it, it won't proc, other times it doesn't help me at all. Weird perk to use.
Maybe try some meme-type builds? One build I came up with is the "I Think I'm Paranoid" build with Dark Sense, Kindred, Premonition and Spine Chill.

There are multiple solutions. All of the based on discouraging players from the undesired behaviour.
With some mechanics changes you can discourage people from spamming flashlight or crouching in game, imagine being affected by a slow after spamming these actions.
Also postgame chat could be parsed with a bad words matcher to filter abusers after a match so they have longer qeues with people like them. Shadowbans are the best bans.
But the main problem here is that there is no clear toxic behaviour. There are a lot of people that defend spamming as legit normal play, or that teasing in postgame chat is not abuse besides the clear intention of specific comments.
The best solution at the end is just ruin a match for all the players without breaking BHVR rules, this will tease them enough to say really bad things in post game chat and with a bit of luck will be covered by some rule BHVR has, so it will end in a punishment for the desired player.
It could work on the hot-heads certainly, but for those who move on it would more likely spread that sort of behaviour.
The ideas for mechanic changes and putting restrictions on chats after the round are sound idèas though. Have you placed the ideas to BHVR?
-
Why not randomise the perks? Every game I play as either Survivor or Killer I use DBD Randomizer for all my perks, add-ons and offerings, which allows me to play in different ways each round and learn how best I can utilise perks.
I've overcome rank ones on both sides with perks nothing like the meta, so it can be done. It's just choosing where the strengths are.

Make survivor more challenging. Survivor is incredibly boring and easy. I have no fun just banging gens and leaving. So, I try to entice the killer to chase me. Most times I don't have an issue but sometimes it requires me to flashlight click and or tbag to get them pissed off to keep coming for me.
So would that include a different objective, or buffed Killers, or something different?
-
@xGodSendDeath said:
This game needs a system where you can ban people from being matched in your lobbies. That would help put a dent it. I keep a little list of toxic survivors on my phone for PS4 and I disconnect during loading screen to ######### them and send them back to the queue. That's the best thing to do since I can't switch to insidious camping ebony Leatherface because of stupid ass lobby killer lock
That could work, so long as it isn't abused so people just lock out players who beat them.
Then again if people did that they'd probably end up with lengthy queues waiting for games! :D

Something like the commendations system smite has maybe?
https://smite.gamepedia.com/Commendations
Tldr: you can mark people after a match for being friendly, a good team player etc. Get enough in a month, you get free sh*t
That's actually a really decent idea! Worth putting forward to BHVR?

nothing. I'm sorry but if you get offended by somebody on the other side of the world mashing a button it's your problem. As long as the bm stays in match and doesn't fall into the witch hunting category, it has to be accepted as a game consequence.
It's not my problem at all. I'm not worried about it. Yet I keep reading about people who are, but don't suggest any solutions as to how they'd deal with it. This discussion was set up in hope of inviting those to add something productive.
I find those actions comical, honestly!

What sort of "in game childish behavior and bullying" are you speaking of?
Examples?
Some people may teabag constantly, or click the lights I believe?
Honestly, to me this isn't toxic and I believe toxicity is more to do with post-game abuse. In-game teabagging is just silly musle-flexing to me. However, I've seen people make comments refering to these actions as toxic.
I made this discussion because for all the people unhappy with this, I don't recollect seeing any suggestions to counter it. Basically, I don't know what's expected of BHVR to curb this (if it actually requires curbing at all!)
-
It would decimate what atmosphere and immersion there is left, and there would be nothing worse than being chased by Spirit, whilst a grating, 13-year-old's voice irritates you during the chase.
-
No-one Left Behind; Slippery Meat; Stake-out; Lucky Break
-
Does this discussion topic take into account the skill of the survivors though? This seems focused on a Nurse being an absolute demon of a Killer that should defeat survivors all the time, rather than if this scenario was played out multiple times and how a slight change of play could drastically alter the round.
That round could be replayed a hundred times, with each offering a different result, either in terms of survival, performance or BP earnt. One round alone doesn't illustrate anything other than on this occasion an outcome was determined on how the flow of this round went.
-
Teabagging has been done so much up to now it's now an action empty of impact.
Anybody who's quick or temperment would be sucked in, but if anything a teabagger is ignored and caught at another juncture during the trial. One thing about certain teabaggers is that a small portion are good and want to antagonise a Killer into a chase so that the others can get gens done.
Oddly, there have been a select few who teabag during the game, but in chat are genuinely nice guys. They admit they do it as a tactic, rather than "beating his chest" as one guy put it.
But by now there's nothing that affects seasoned (and even newer) players, unles they're easily tilted.
