Wait, they're removing the offering? Have they ever removed offerings before, I thought they only ever disabled them?
With the map being gone, the offerings will be removed not just disabled. Am trying to get information on the offerings right now.

Anyone in the match using Boon Totems? Because I am seeing reports of crashes in connection with those?

Hey, sorry that you're facing this issue, would it be possible if you have this issue again (with the game crashing), you could send your log files (if you're on Steam at least).
1. Press Windows Key + R to bring up "Run".
2. Type this in the "Run" prompt: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
3. The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file. Please attach it in your reply.
And provide as much info as possible - who blessed the totem, was it snuffed out prior to being blessed, was it a hex before, map etc. As much information as you can, could really help us on this.
-
Can you grab me your logs if you get a crash like this please?
1. Press Windows Key + R to bring up "Run".
2. Type this in the "Run" prompt: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
3. The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file. Please attach it in your reply.
(for those on Console, please describe exactly what happened, who blessed totem, who was healing etc, as much information as possible would be really helpful, thank you).
-
If you're on PC, can you grab your logs for me if you do happen to crash again?
1. Press Windows Key + R to bring up "Run".
2. Type this in the "Run" prompt: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
3. The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file. Please attach it in your reply.

I think it's the best one they've done so far. Really hoping it plays for the killer too.
it definitely does, I just heard it and I love it!

The achievements were changed to be a generic achievement, as they weren't able to be completed on all platforms anymore due to the removal of Strange Things. There will not be compensation given for the change in an achievement.
-
Thank you, in discussion about this now and will advise as soon as possible.

Hi Mandy, did you find out about the ST perks yet since the changes have just gone live even for those with the dlc? Thanks
can you grab me a screenshot showing that you own the character and the perks are still generic for you, because I did have it confirmed that you should have the original perk names if you owned the DLC.

Anyone who thinks that I dont know that the threads were merged didnt read my post at all.
My argument was that they are merging all the threads into a single post to make it appear that the outrage is smaller than it really is.
so you think one thread with 10plus pages is less value than 10 different threads? Sorry but you're wrong, hence the very large thread that drew attention to the console issues since the RE Chapter.

Ok so I’m going to confess that as of late I’ve been crutching on Dead Hard. Please don’t nerf it now lol.
I don't have a massive issue with Dead Hard tbh. I kind of see it the same way that I see other exhaustion perks, it'll give you that boost but then it's not going to help you for the rest of the chase.
Dead Hard basically allows you to be greedy, it lets you get another loop around a pallet for example - it's not a mistake when survivors do this, it's intentional, they know they have Dead Hard so they know they can make the loop before dropping that pallet, or make the window.
I still think Sprint Burst is a stronger exhaustion perk, but I feel that Dead Hard is more frustrating for some players to play against.

The egc is a terribly Implemented mechanic. It might end the game to stop taking it hostage, but it's so bad at it.
1) 99ing completely negates this mechanic and the killer opening the door does nothing except give survs a timer of 2-4 minutes to leave.
2) it does not force survivors out. You could say that when the timer hits 10 seconds maybe. Also it extends/slows for dying and hooked survivors.
3) in that time a killer can chase, down, and hook all 4 survivors and they'd still have time. (I know from experience). Yes I downed and hooked each survivor and they had time to do that...how does that force them out?
So yeah..for the egc to even be considered a end game collapse it needs to be more oppressive and relevant and stop 99ing. So yeah..that's the issue with gates and the egc. Gates shouldn't be able to be 99ed...it literally is counter intuitive...
Hope that answers your original question.
I will completely disagree. The EGC does exactly what it's intended to - which is end the game. It's not intended to favour either side which is why the killer can also open the gate. It's intended so that the game will end and prevent one side from taking the game hostage - and that's exactly what it does.
-
And as you've already been told, bans are not discussed on the forums so please keep your discussion with Support only.

I have finally saved up a million BP, plus need to use the codes for the extra BP - this is the first time I have successfully managed to save points and not spend them. Now I just have to remember not to open the game and spend them before release.
-
There's an awful lot of perks in DbD and some work with different builds more than others. It's not for ANYONE else to say what someone should be running. Let people play with the perks that they choose to run.

It's mostly because people take lvl 1 character or low lvls and then last second take their main and just destroy killers, feels wrong you know?
Survivor MMR is shared across all their survivors, there's not a different MMR rating for any of the individual survivors. For example with Mikaela coming out next week, she'll have the same MMR score as I have on my current two mains Kate & Nea, as all the survivors have the same MMR.
There is individual MMR for killers - they're starting off at around the same level initially, because if you're very strong with one killer you're not likely to be really really low MMR with another (and even if you are, your MMR will gradually drop as you lose), as you still will know the basics of chases etc so you're not completely new to the game.
-
Devour Hope is one of my favourite killer perks, it's a perk that I don't mind playing against as a survivor either. I like that there's a high reward for the risk, because you know once you get that insta down the survivors are going to start looking for the totem in most cases.
I genuinely think it's one of the most balanced perks in the game.
-
I'm definitely looking forward to the new survivor, I need to actually try to save up some BP this time and not spend them prior to release.
-
I miss the skill checks when I'm being super greedy to only hit great ones. I put skill checks on my mouse button and that's made them a lot easier to hit now, there seems to be less latency compared to a keyboard (or that could be purely my imagination).
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I'd say the biggest thing i've noticed with skill checks of any kind is their always gonna happen when you scratch that itch!
The game just knows your finger isn't ready!
definitely this! You take your hands off the keyboard for a second, and that skill check randomly pops up.

Yes and him laught of me in his stream
What happens on other platforms is down to the platform in question - we can only deal with things that happened in game.
-
If it happened to you and only you, over the course of several matches by the same person - then you can make a report for griefing against the player and the team will take a look at it.
Edited so that this is clear - camping itself is not reportable in the slightest but if you are being specifically targeted by another player, that's the reportable part
-
I suggest if you want to discuss what you feel are the issues in the game, to make a post with actual discussion content.
-
Please take the discussion here to another channel if you wish to discuss this, and remember this a bug report section of the forum.

It's impossible for the system to tell whether a player is deliberately disconnecting themselves or has a genuine internet issue - that's why they are all categorised the same. The disconnect penalty is kept low initially for the times when there is an issue as disconnects from Server issues are very infrequent and it's often on the users end where the issue occurs.
Steam maintenance is scheduled and that's out of our hands, but it's also something that happens the same time every single week so it's not too difficult to avoid playing at that time, or if you are disconnected due to being mid match and not noticing, then the 5 minute penalty will be up prior to the maintenance being completed so you wouldn't have lost any game time anyway.
There are no plans to implement a "rejoin system" afaik, this is something that I believe would struggle to work within DbD as with it being such an asymetrical game, people tend to leave for all sorts of reasons and a ragequit from a game shouldn't give the player the opportunity to rejoin instantly - it should give them time to cool off a bit, which is does quite effectively.

It's literally the same as triggering Hag traps while she's doing the same thing- smart and safe way to disarm the Killer's pressure.
That's the way I see it, the best time to run through an area that you know Hag has trapped (or make a fast save where Hag has trapped hooks) is by simply running through the traps when carrying someone, as she can't teleport, or has to put the person down to teleport. It's smart play on the Survivor side to do this, same as it is for them to solve the box at that point as well.

I would like 3 rituals for each side. There's enough killers and survivors to do that now i think.
yeah this is kind of what I'd like to see as well tbh. I think that way it would keep encouraging people to play both sides, and give rewards.
I'd also like to see more BP for the rituals in general.

Can confirm that your MMR does not reset when the Grades reset (or at any other time).

Lol, that's what is so funny about this game sometimes. The survivors aren't only afraid of the killer, but the killers are afraid of the survivors.
Funny you should say that. The biggest scare I ever had in this game, was when playing Killer. I was randomly looking for a people to chase in a match and walking through a pallet (did not know anyone was nearby, was heading off to a gen on the other side of the map), and a Claudette just dropped the pallet on me, it was so unexpected I jumped out of my chair and screamed!
-
I still use BBQ and still get use out of it - I tend to go for information perks in general though, so it suits my playstyle
-
Ghostface stunned noise.

I know how it is.
It was actually somewhat rare for me to encounter Head On users, but for some reasons I always expected survivors to have it. It is probably some kind of instinct.
I'm kind of similar there, I always expect it - probably because I also run it on my survivor build, so tend to expect it a lot as killer.

@MandyTalk first time i see when someone wanna laugh with friends in survival horror game :D And I think more people not wanna play TOM AND JERRY :D or change action on this game
I've got around 4k hours in this game, I think most people would agree that any game once you have enough hours in it, stops being scary.
Also, as I play both sides, horror quickly dissipates.

When the performance fixes list Sloppy Butcher is the performance fix for just the perk or is it actually for the status effects it causes. Asking because Huntress add-on Begrimed Head has the same status effects and causes freezes when it's used, wondering if upcoming Sloppy Butcher fix would fix that as well if fix is for status effects as a whole.
I don't know exactly I'm afraid, I don't know the technical side behind it. I'm hoping it's the status effect it causes

This is interesting actually; I can’t believe I never thought to look if the hook freezes are only when using BBQ, as I’ve definitely had some where it doesn’t freeze and might not have been running BBQ.
If that’s the case then I wonder if unhook freezes are simply related to perks like BT/We’ll Make It etc that activate on unhook rather than the base mechanic of hook/unhook?
I think it is likely that it's perk related - it would also make sense if it is, even if it's not killer perk related but something like Kindred for example - that would fit with the issue re status effects, if the aura is causing this

Wait. Doesn't tickets that don't directly break the rules get sent to Feedback anyways? At least that's what the support team responds with. Which makes sense. If a player reports something that they found unfair, or unfun, but that incident isn't breaking the rules. The report gets moved to feedback so it can be considered among other feedback when deciding future changes to the game.
Personally I would never suggest to players not to use support function for any reason. It's helpful for more than just finding players that break da rulez.
yes Support do take feedback as well, but not those that are reporting players - as that's dealt with by a slightly different team. We have ACM's that deal with player reports for example.
-
As advised in our recent QA Stream, we will be implementing this but we want to advise people not to expect it at the Streamdeck's launch, we haven't confirmed when it will be actioned.
-
A lot of time it depends on the map for me, if it's a farm map I can lose the killer more easily than I can on other maps - corn blindness is still a thing. Also depends if I'm injured or not - blood trails can be a lot easier to track.
I'd say around 15% is about right, and that's entirely dependent on the perks I'm running. I find I do lose killers more if I'm running perks such as Deception, as they do stop to check the locker if I time it correctly and that gives me the time to get away.
I'd also say I lose chases as a killer around the same amount of time.
-
I can't help it, it's not the chest - it's the pure inquisitiveness of it, I have to see if I'm right and it's really an insidious Bubba or if there's a cloaked Wraith hidden somewhere on the map :(
-
I know a lot of people that play solo survivor and prefer to play solo...I think that's what's so good about it, you have the option to play with your friends, you also have the options to play either side in a solo capacity. Sometimes I want to play with friends and have a chat and a laugh, but other times I just want to be by myself and play, those times I don't want to only play killer.

I'm on PS4 and I was never aware that was the case. I always clicked on the report screen when people DC'd under "unsportsmanlike - Rage Quitting". Sorry for some of the spam then.
Could we possibly get a message to the Devs asking them to update the in game report screen to prevent some confusion and lessen wasteful report spam?
Definitely this is something I can bring up.

Do you do anything against serial false reporters? seen some twitch streamers that just report for anything they don't like.
As per the information here, yes it can get your Support Account suspended...this is in rare occasions though.
