I'm going to direct the people who are taking this quote shown in the tweet as fact and without any context, to the actual live stream where this was discussed and explained at length - as well as explaining what is planned to happen with taking in team results into consideration as a survivor, which then might take into account the player who ran the killer for the 5 gens that the other survivors did.
-
Being pretty factual about this, survivors squatting isn't even "teabagging" using the known meaning of the word. Butt dancing is another term that's used and that's probably more of an accurate representation to what happens in the game.
-
We gave a pretty solid answer to this in the QA - we said as much as we are able to say. We're continuing to work on it, but as it's not solely down to us it's not something we can guarantee.

I obviously take some of the more outlandish opinions with a grain of salt, but I ultimately do enjoy seeing people's opinion's on things (which is probs why the polls section is my favourite).
I like the polls section myself - really want to do more with that in the future.
-
yeah to be completely clear, this is not our design it was taken from a Reddit thread and shown as a shoutout to the person who designed it.
-
If your wiggle was being paused even on missed attacks, please report that as a bug on the bug report sub section as that really shouldn't happen - you are correct, it's only when the killer makes a successful hit on a survivor that the timer should pause with Mad Grit, other than that, the killers missed attacks should just have no cooldown but not affect your wiggle bar.
-
The Entity blocker works on windows when you are in chase, the chase mechanic relies on being in line of sight, not too far away (think it's 12m from memory), and the survivor must be running...dropping chase when a survivor is out of sight doesn't happen instantly either as it allows for things like jungle gyms etc.
As a Wraith I am guessing you were cloaked at the time, which means you weren't actively chasing the survivor - you couldn't have hit them, injured them at any point for example.

If you unlink the accounts, everything you earned whilst your accounts were linked stays on the Behaviour account, your Steam account will go back to what it was at the time of linking.

That's great news! glad you got it so fast.

My biggest problem with the Q&A is that it said literally nothing. It has been known for a very long time that CoH is busted, and they have admitted that everything they touch in the mid-chapter patch did not require a programmer. Tell me with a straight face that replacing 100% with 75% requires programmers. They easily could have nerfed it this patch (even tough it's quite a meaningless nerf that does not address the real problems with it but at least it would be something). The entire Q&A could have been a tweet saying "hey, we are nerfing CoH in a year, hang on!" or something. If they have LITERALLY nothing to say or confirm, why even bother? I appretiate the effort and such, but it comes off as a bit disingenious, as if someone at BHVR said "Hey, the community is quite rowdy, what shall we do?" "Just throw a Q&A at them and then blame the community for not asking the questions we are willing to anwser lol".
CoH will be adjusted in the next patch...not in a years time. So when the next patch drops, the CoH change will be in there.

Thank you very much for this @GoodBoyKaru it is very much appreciated that you've taken a lot of your time to do all this <3

Switch Cross Progression was answered, it's also been answered here on the forums - we don't have further information which we can share and we've said that many times. But it was not ignored on the QA, it was a highly upvoted question so we answered it.

Don't get me wrong here as i don't try to be an a hole or anything like that, but you (with you i mean you at bhvr) are a company.
This means that you will get flamed no matter what you'll do as there are always people where you will do everything wrong in their eyes.
That's just part of your job to deal with whether you like it or not, you can't simply please all.
It is good to choose the most upvoted questions as that has the people's interest regardless how stupid it might be, but it's also a good and wise idea to select a few questions that are really interesting.
That way you get a good and interesting Q&A stream where you can actually give some info or feedback, and not like last time where it was a lot "can't answer that" "soon tm" "we have no info on that" and so on.
Cause lets be honest, would you love to watch a Q&A stream where there was actually given some good answers and feedback to you as a viewer or where most questions aren't really answered other that the examples i just gave?
Personally if you ask me i love to get feedbacks and real answers during the stream, that gives me more of a feeling that the devs care.
In my eyes if they do the other part it feels imo very unprofessional and as if they take the easy way out i.e not having to really answer any questions.
I appreciate what you're saying I really do. The whole point of taking the most upvoted questions is that those are the questions that people want to have answered - that's the issue...we're limited on time, we've got roughly an hour for the stream, so we take the most upvoted questions and we will respond to those ones. Going through the rest of the questions to pull things out, that not everyone wants an answer to is not only time consuming but also we might not have time to answer these on the streams themselves.
A lot more work goes into the QA's than people know, and that's ok - we don't expect people to know or understand or be bothered by it. But when teams are busy and we have to pull them off work for streams and questions, we want to make sure that we're answering the questions that the majority of the community want answered.
-
I really do not see the need to have a thread on this forum that's specifically dedicated to bashing players from one area of the world.
-
My definite perk on Legion right now is Lethal Persuer - that starting information of where survivors are (because I can never memorise spawn points), is just too useful for me...and allows me to start putting pressure on immediately. I've played a bit with Thana but I'm not a massive fan, I do tend to use Ruin on Legion just to slow the match down a little which is especially good on the larger maps. Enduring is a staple of mine which I've got to attempt to wean myself off and then my last perk is most often BBQ - BP too good to give up, plus I do love the information instantly when I've hooked someone so I know what gen to go pressurise next.
For addons I tend to use Julies & Joeys mixtapes - just to cut that fatigue down a bit, but I do find Susies mixtape to be useful as well.

BHVR is capable of telling the difference. They have people specifically for reviewing cheaters, who are well-aware of what kinds of shenanigans they can pull off.
^ this. If you've not been cheating yourself you have nothing to worry about.
Our team of ACM's are very experienced and know what they are looking for.

Could you do a combined approach of most upvoted and ‚cherry picking‘ from the remaining questions though?
like, have a threshold of upvotes so the x highest voted question do get answered but then also take the questions that didn’t get much votes but you yourselves (devs, community team etc) find interesting and worthy to get an answer and also feature some of those?
That's similar to what we used to do - which we got heavily flamed for. That's the problem.
We made it this way because this is the way the Community as a whole requested it - a lot of the responsibility has to fall to the people who upvoted the questions that they knew we'd not be able to answer or that were not related to gameplay etc.
-
@AnneBonny said:
they really need to just discard questions with "soon" answers. it's either false hope or irritation until release.
We used to do that, then we get accused of cherry picking the questions.
We take the most upvoted questions, some of them we can not answer with a specific answer for sure because it's not things that we can discuss yet - we do clearly state in the QA section though that we probably won't be able to answer things on upcoming things.

I'd play Nea if I worked for BHVR just for that top they give you
In fairness I did play Nea and had P3'd her before being a full time employee and being gaining the Dev shirt...but yeah it's pretty sweet, gets me hard camped and mori'd a lot though :)

It depends- I like the concept behind the feature, but if there's a popup every 3 seconds then I can see that getting very annoying after a while. Also if it keeps bricking my phone then absolutely not regardless- I can hit Save Draft without needing to kill any small amounts of joy I held for typing on a phone.
The auto save feature itself doesn't pop up every few seconds in the same way as this one did, and I think it's fine on mobile as well. I could do a temp test and turn it on for the rest of the week for example and see how it goes. I'll have a look at it when in work tomorrow (or late today actually due to the time now lol).
-
I'm hesitant to say it's fixed until I get full confirmation from the hosting company - I think the whole "draft saved" message has gone, but I am not sure about the issue mobile users were having....
Drafts do have an auto save feature on them, that we have switched off on the forum, has been for quite some time....not sure if people are going to want this switched back on or not, will need to have your input on this.
-
Sometimes copying the code will put a space at the beginning (from experience with my own Prime Gaming codes)....this is the only other thing I can think of I'm afraid, other than the code already being used by someone with access to the account.

Oof...Neas. One of the 'wild cards' - they can be incredibly good or amazingly derpy. Nice as all hell or the sort to teabag, turn, walk directly into a trap and DC.
ngl I am a complete trap magnet - I groan if it is a Trapper and I swear, he could just put one trap on the map and I will definitely find it. I've always been like that with Trappers as well, they're definitely one of my weak spots.
-
Nea's are the best! (yes I play Nea)....I pretty much will always sacrifice myself to save a team mate especially if that team mate has been super helpful throughout the match - ran the killer, healed people, gone out of their way to be helpful for example.
-
You can report to the platform they are on, but we do not handle reports of players based on their names.
Obviously if they do something in-game that is reportable, definitely make the report to us...but otherwise it would be to the platform they are playing on, which in fairness is usually Steam as console platforms tend to have more control over names, Steam lets you pick any name pretty much although I have seen people made to change their names after being reported to them.
-
I think we're pretty clear in the rules with regards to death wishes etc so I don't feel that it's something that needs to be explained again - for those that are interested, the Game Rules and the correct way to report a player are HERE . If an in-game report is not made, we are unable to take any action on the offender, the report flags the match so that we can be sure that it actually happened, and that we can see the chat logs (for chat offences obviously). We make this very clear in the rules that we post.
Consoles have their own system for reporting chat offences as we do not have in-game chat for consoles so what happens and what action is taken is purely down to that platform and that is out of our control. If you are a console player and find yourself getting harassed in this manner, please report directly to the platform that you are playing from.
-
@PlayTwink said:
Sadly support team does not care about those reports. You can report them, but they'll not ban them, even with evidence like this screenshot for example. The mods here don't even try to help you and will try to ignore with your answers as much as they could. I reported one like that before that was death wishing me one month ago and he's still not banned. Amazing company 😂
As you were told - an ingame report has to be made, screenshots cannot be relied on due to how easy they are to fake. Which is why an in-game report is MANDATORY for all reports.
-
It's not changed my playstyle as killer or survivor either way tbh. I play the same way as I always have done, I've always played the game casually and don't play for kills as such but for chases...I essentially don't really care about kills in a match if I've had some good chases...and the same for survivor, I don't care if I die as long as I've had a good chase or two.
-
As others have said, when the perk will show is rng. You can check though on Claudette, to make sure the teachable perk is unlocked on the character (by scrolling on the character herself, you don't have to put BP into her bloodweb or anything).
-
I prefer to the play the game properly and not to farm as do many others. Farming is a grey area - it's not something we're particularly keen on, as we want players to actually play the game and you cannot force players to farm with you.
-
I'm another one that played more single player games, and I still do. I played a bit of CoD that sort of thing but they were never main games for me.
-
Nobody gets banned for using perks in the game.
And we do not discuss bans here!

Sometimes they will delete parts of a post, that don't even break forum rules, and not even tell you.
You just see it edited by a mod, because, I guess they didn't like it?
not in the slightest!
Most of the posts that are "edited by a mod" are the ones that are moved from the incorrect sub forum to the correct one.
The only things that we delete are posts that break forum rules, we might edit a post for this reason also if it's a very minor rule break and we want to keep the whole post up instead of deleting it.
Please do not spread misinformation around.

I mean, they did leave the questions up to twitter to decide so don't get your hopes up on any useful questions being asked.
Questions are taken from Twitter, forums and from our Regional Communities.

Mooks is quite correct. If you edited your comment in anyway, it would have been sent to the spam filter and then it has to be manually authorised by a moderator - they do this many times a day, and it normally doesn't take a great deal of time before it's back up on the forums.

@MandyTalk Hello, short question with this requiring a paid update as i am from germany.
I bought the Stranger Things Edition on PSN but have no PS5 yet.
I still play the Disc Version on PS4. If i get a PS5 and download the digital version there - is the Stranger Things DLC then the PS5 version - or can´t i get that?
Thank you.
my understanding is that on the PS5 you will still be able to play it on the PS4 version, but due to the issues in Germany where it required a paid update, you wouldn't be able to get it as a PS5 version.

This is also a thing.
If the Devs cannot talk about something, there are two options: Saying that they cannot talk about it or soon™ or not answering the Question at all. They cannot win with that one, both times players would be upset.
This is very true, and it's things we've seen with previous streams as well. We're also very clear that we cannot talk about upcoming stuff with much certainty, but yet still we get asked these questions and of course they're the most upvoted.
It does feel like we can't win at times for sure.

No, that’s wrong. Players who abuse camper and tunneling would wait more time to find a match, but good people will wait less than now
nope sorry, it was proved a long time ago that this issue happened...when there was a way to block players, and good players struggled to find a game.
-
we have information on our Knowledge Base with regards to this...that might be of help.
-
Because it would be greatly abused and players who are good would never get a match...

We do not discuss bans here, but due to the incorrect information in your post I feel that I have to comment.
You do not get banned for tunnelling - that is completely false.
You were given 2 reasons for your possible ban, none of those said tunnelling.
Also players are not banned on reports on their own, there has to be sufficient evidence, and that includes video.
-
I'm not sure if we can say it broke...because I do not remember a time when it actually worked!
It's something that I have brought up with the hosting company, as it's not worked for me since the inception of the forum.

This is specifically requesting clarification from someone at BHVR.
Does MMR turn off at certain times of day?
Or is it that it expands its parameters (because of long queue times) so much that it takes whoever is available, regardless of their rating?
It doesn't switch off at all at any point.
What is probably happening is that there's either an extreme on one side ie either too many players or too little and matchmaking expands to fill them....or there's "backfill" happening, where lobbies get dodged etc and them someone is put into those lobbies to fill them which then throws the matchmaking out.

This is my doggy - his name is Diggsy...he's the cutest and he looks smol in that pic but he's actually pretty large. He's a Rottweiler crossed with a Labrador.
