We have not made any changes to the original MMR. The tests ended and the data has to be analysed to see if any further tests are required, changes made etc. The current MMR is exactly the same as it was before the tests started and when it was switched off during the tests, nothing has changed.

This is looking to be an issue on PSN - sorry but there is nothing we can do for this.
-
This is looking like an issue on PSN side for right now I'm afraid...so nothing we can do from our side.
-
Today's test will finish at 8pm ET - it's also the last scheduled test.

You did not do enough to pip because the game design and the emblems are flawed.
If grades are to be representative of time played more than anything, then it's inconsistent that we could still depip on either role. Even more so when there's little a single player can do to survive a facecamp.
I understand you're not completely free to talk, because you still need to push the team's line.
But coming in here and telling us that getting punished by the game itself because you get facecamped is totally fine is the best way to alienate the players' sympathies.
I understand your point, but I would say that whilst time played is pretty much the deciding factor in the end of season grade rewards - more time, the more chance for a higher grade etc. How you play also plays a part, as otherwise you could just go into the match as a survivor, not do anything at all for the entire match, die and get a pip - should that be rewarded with a pip that progresses you and adds to the end of season grade rewards?
I don't think so, and I'm speaking from my personal opinion as a player here.

A lot ? Are you one of these "toxic" survivors I hear about, Mandy ? Where you tbag and clicky clicky at them ? 🤭
I don't even use items apart from the odd medkit - I am too much of a hoarder (read cheap), to part with my stuff lol
I think it just goes with the job :)
-
This is something that was tested initially and didn't work, it felt awful.
EGC is there to prevent matches from being taken hostage - that's the reason it was implemented. A way to end matches naturally, not to give one side an advantage in the endgame.
Previously survivors could just open the door and do whatever for any particular length of time - that's all this is intended to stop. It's the reason that killers can also open the doors now.
-
My personal opinion is that you have not done enough in the match to earn a pip - depipping is completely fine.
Yes being camped and your team mates not helping can suck, but that's generally considered to be part of the game and there are perks to help with that - Borrowed Time for example.
(and I'm speaking from a position where I get hard camped and mori'd a lot!)

This isn't a usual discussion, but I would like to take the time to thank all of y'all for participating in the discussions and polls I make. I love making discussions and polls and having y'all participate in them. Seeing my notifications go off just to see y'all giving your thoughts and opinions mean so much to me. I love this game and being able to talk about it with y'all Is just awesome. I love this part of the community. Thats all I just wanted to say thank you.
That's such a wholesome post. Thank you for your participation here!
I genuinely love this place and appreciate everyone being here and sharing their opinions.

I saw the mistake now. If i place a snare into (!) the wall with a part of it, its as u said. If the whole Snare is in front of the window, a fast vault didnt work (same for more distance to the window. So no bug here, thanks for help.
No problem at all, happy to have helped.
I'll go ahead and close this report now.

So billy and Myers require the same amount of skill to master?
None of these skill ratings are to do with mastering killers.
They are purely there to help new players.

Plague is really not that intuitive to people new to her. Any killer can be made to sound trivially simple.
(With nurse you just look in a survivor's direction, hold m2, press m1. Billy is the same except you get closer to the survivor first)
You've definitely got a point with the intuitive thing.
Part of the issue is that with experience, we see things as easy but we totally forget what it is like as a completely new player to the game. Which is what the ratings are for, they don't really make any difference once you've got experience in the game.
-
The killer difficulty rating is nothing to do with balancing. It's purely for new players and how easy/difficult it is for them to pick up the character and play reasonably well instantly. Some killers take a bit more understanding and experience on how to use their powers more effectively.
-
Whilst I appreciate it's frustrating for our newer players who did not own the Stranger Things DLC, I'm afraid that the Demogorgon, Nancy and Steve will remain moved from our Stores.
-
Can you grab a video of this please? I'm wondering if the snares are too close to the window so that the survivor is already locked into the fast vault animation.

I never thought I would be able to accomplish it as a console player. I thought there was no way I could ever control his knives crazy vertical spread, especially in chase and when moving around short loops. But I finally can say I can play a pretty decent trickster now! But more importantly, I'm having so much fun learning his ins n outs, shredding people who try to make plays in front of me, and catching people off gaurd at vaults they think are safe!
And with that, I am now able to play and enjoy every killer on the roster!
Have any of you ever had a killer you just thought was impossible, but one day everything clicked and all of a sudden they became a favorite? Anyone else still having trouble playing Trickster on a console controller (or am I the last one lol?)
I just want to say, it really makes me happy to hear someone say they're having fun with the game. Am glad you've mastered Trickster and are enjoying playing as them.
In answer to your question, Huntress is rapidly getting there for me - i never thought I would enjoy throwing hatchets so much!

Thats fair obviously making deals with companies such as microsoft studios or Sony interactive is a thing that makes sense. I just want to vent my frustration and the viewpoint that just switching from one system to another is extremely costly for many users and that the way it looks can be perceived poorly overall. I appreciate the response.
I do appreciate your point of view, I can understand how frustrating it is for our players.
-
We have not released the date publicly, so please be aware that anything that hasn't been announced directly from us, is purely speculation at this point and not confirmed.
-
We are very much aware that cross progression is desired by the community and it's still something we're working towards, however, the decision is not solely down to ourselves as there's other parties involved. So we cannot say if/when it will be implemented.
-
Part of the issue that I can see with having different levels of exhaustion for survivors is that it would be very confusing for newer players. The perk states "causes the exhaustion effect" or words to that effect, so it's the "exhaustion" itself that would need to be changed not the perks. That would make it very convoluted imo.
-
Lethal Pursuer is currently my favourite killer perk
It's a toss up between Head On & Deception for my survivor build - been having a lot of fun with these two recently.

Just because it makes your job easier does not mean its a good idea to remove them. You are just being selfish with that statement.
Not in the slightest...the amount of confused players who believe that Grades are still relevant to matchmaking is very high - it's far less confusing to have them hidden and is something that has been highly requested.
-
I suggest not listening to leaks/suspected leaks and waiting until things are confirmed by us as to what is releasing or not.

Hiding the grades is a very good idea IMHO. It avoids confusion and/or frustration.
I must admit, I'm a fan of keeping them hidden...I do not know how many times I've had to say that Grades are not used for matchmaking purposes any longer.
-
@Tsulan your cats are gorgeous! I love that the two are squashed in a bed together, it's so cute.

no the test finished at 11am today, we don't test into the weekend.
We're currently keeping the grades hidden for the weekend though.

Ok I've changed the status on this bug report, yes it should be 2s. The OP was correct. Sorry for any confusion caused.

For anything connected with DbD Mobile you can contact Support https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
As some people correctly pointed out, there is no longer an official discord server, so all feedback/issues are directed to Support. Thank you.

If you're having ping of that number on a regular basis it's either that you're very far away from a server, or you do not have a stable connection on your internet.
{and with UK to Australia for example the ping is around 320, I would definitely look into your internet as being a factor}

@Hail_to_the_King said:
100% agreed. I fully believe grades are creating a really negative placebo effect on the matchmaking system. I would love to see them replaced with character portraits. I often forget who was who anyways so it would help with that.
I must admit I like the idea of character portraits instead of names + Grade, I'm awful at remembering names in general and would find it a lot easier to see who was who in the match if character portraits were included.
-
(and just in case anyone is wondering, it will still be up for 24hrs, it will be able to be collected until April 8th 7pm ET)
-
Well that was lucky, managed to get hold of a wonderful human being who put the reward though - sorry for the delay, if you restart your games, you should be able to get the 50k BP login reward right now.
-
@ChurchofPig said:
@MandyTalk or someone is there any word on why the reward didn't happen as the Spring Cleaning post said it would?
I don't have word yet I'm afraid - I just found out myself and it's 12.20am for me. I have left a message in case anyone is in the office, if not I will check up on this tomorrow.

On a related note, does the post-game "Did you have fun?" rating do anything or get looked at? Or is it just a placebic mechanism to help frustrated players vent a little?
these do get checked yes

Yeah it's a typo. They require video evidence, most things require video evidence.
No it isn't a typo, it's completely correct.

Interesting. So, any time I've run into a person exploiting, say an area where I can't pick them up (like that basement bug a while ago), I've always recorded + reported in game and through customer service - which from my understanding you need this video evidence anyway to handle these reports and (temporarily) ban accordingly. But the way that this document is worded, it implies that is optional to provide evidence.
Is there a reason why that wouldn't require video evidence to handle exploiting bugs/errors in design/undocumented features/etc, as compared to a hacker who is hacking?
Also suprised lag switching and botting fall under the evidence optional section too.
I could be misunderstanding and misreading this completely, too, just thought I'd clarify :)
for some things we do not require video evidence for, as advised in the report form, due to the different way reports are handled.
-
Hopefully once the tests are fully over we'll be able to share further information on what exactly was tested.
-
As Peanits said, yes in-game reports do get looked at. However, in many cases further information is required as explained on this post in our Knowledge Base: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

but arent points based on what u did too or not cus i just had another game with even less points and everyone died and i got a safepip?
BP is nothing to do with Emblem quality
The screenshot you showed was pretty low scoring across the board, it's possible quite a few people only black pipped at the most
-
That's perfect, thank you @Tatariu I will discuss this further with QA.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
As for the Twitter exposure, I understand.
How about using the in-game reporting system to report someone who is obviously neither cheating nor being a nuisance, but is just playing in a way that is inconvenient for you?
The reporting system was not originally designed to be used in such a self-centered manner.
Isn't it important to understand the content of the reporting system, and to show the official view that reporting should be done based on that understanding?
Our Support team handle in-game reports, if they feel the reporting system is being abused, they will take appropriate action - however, that's rarely the case.

There is what has been put to me with the label "NEED MORE INFO".
And what do you expect me to do with the "records", since they are unreadable (so to speak?). Do I have to send this "log" here? (Since it is something that no one should see, except a mod or similar in private).
If so, I want a confirmation, along with where to pass it. Well, as is logical, I don't want anyone to have (and possibly read) a private file of mine. A private place to send it would be appreciated.
Reminder, that the IP appears (and I don't know if it's one that has nothing to do with your team or Steam) among other things.
Also, I formatted the pc a few days ago. With which, I only get the logs of these last days, not the one that maybe takes, 2-3 weeks? Or more.
There is also one for the current day (no date), which does not say "backup", which I tried to open (in case it was readable), but it does not load.
What does it have to do, that I delete someone from Steam, with the fact that I continue to appear in the game after that?
Let's say (for an example), that someone here deletes a man from friends, who threatens him with death on Steam, blocks him and continues to appear in the game after deleting him on his platform. And both you and him see when you are connected, when you are playing, etc etc etc.
Let's face it, it's a VERY SERIOUS bug, in game 100% finished.
Your log files can be uploaded here, they are encrypted so nobody can read them without them being de-encrypted. And they do not show your IP information.
Your log file would need to be taken after you've attempted to block the player - log files are rewritten so only the most recent data is saved.
Also, blocking a player on Steam does not prevent you being matched with them in game.
-
DC'ing is Unsportsmanlike Behaviour - hence there's a timeout penalty to effectively discourage this behaviour. So it's definitely not something wanted in game, it does ruin the game for others. And it's also not something we will promote here on the forum.
-
Quite simply not enough was done in a match for the pip. You got a Bronze in Benevolent - which is alturism effectively. Bronze in Evader which kind of means you stayed pretty far away from the killer. Silver in Lightbringer which means you didn't repair enough gens or cleanse totems. And finally the gold emblem for Unbroken. If attempts would have been made to save the hooked person, then most likely you would have gained enough to pip - taking a hit whilst they are being chased or being carried to a hook, attempting to unhook them as you had Borrowed Time etc.
-
We only handle things that happen in the game itself, we do not have any control over what happens on other platforms. If you feel you are being harassed by this person on Twitter then please report to Twitter, however you would need to provide proof of harassment.
-
Our position re cross progression is the same as it always has been, whilst it's something we would love to do and we will continue to try to make this happen, it's not something that we can guarantee either way. As it's not solely down to ourselves with regards to implementing this.
-
welcome back!

I'm closing this, the question has been asked and answered.
