Quite often you may need to need to restart your console/Steam to trigger the update showing on your platform. It happens a lot on Steam for me, I have to restart Steam everytime for the update to show.

Well NOTHING regarding steamdeck. I'm waiting for VHS and i will not waste time on this game anymore Bye
I did state earlier in the week that we're not at the point where we're launching DbD on Steam Deck yet - it will definitely be announced prior to its release. I'm sorry that you are disappointed that it's not available on Steam Deck at this time, however we have been very clear about this.
-
Yes, unfortunately this update will be bigger than normal that's due to the engine change I'm afraid so it will be a slightly longer download than we'd ideally liked.
However, the game will take up less disk space now as the way it's been packaged has been changed.
-
The speed looks ok to me, he has a faster vault in T2 than other killers and his movement speed is the same as other killers in T2.
Also, you are playing with some lag (the white circle in the top left corner of the screen) so what the killer is seeing and what you are seeing is going to be different. Which can make you think something is "off" with the hit.
-
Fortunately, I don't agree. Everyone's opinion is valid regardless - new players are just as important as veterans...and as a public forum we are open to all of our players.

Was it? Because i went to a old video where i used the addons and saw this
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9CX0ZS2112U0/20220426-074831.jpg
Im just a little confused.
Can you link me the video - I can message you to do it privately if you would rather?
Even checking the patch notes from the patch where that addon was changed, it was never supposed to include lockers - I can only presume that the wording was wrong on the addon.

I mean I understand the game will end eventually but that just doesn't really seem like it would not be fair to still technically call that a hostage situation since the players would still be stuck there waiting that 4 minutes out just so they don't get a penalty if they left
But the game will end, so it's not a hostage situation.
Whilst slugging might seem like an unfun strategy, it's still not something that's reportable in game at all, as it's part of the game mechanics - hence survivors have bleed out bars, can recover, have perks to counter this playstyle etc.
-

Ok I see what your saying but that's situational wouldn't you agree? Not every survivor will use those perks, and if I'm not mistaken unbreakable is once per match not sure about soul guard but still like I said situational. And not to come off as rude just not understanding how downing all players and forcing them to bleed out for 4 minutes isn't taking the game hostage
It's not a hostage situation because the game will end. A hostage situation in the game is when the game cannot be progressed by the player that's being taken hostage. In the case of slugging, the game will naturally progress as the survivors bleed out.

So what your saying is it's totally OK for a killer to "slug" me and the other survivors and just waste our time by letting us bleed out. That doesn't seem right at all.
Slugging is not taking the game hostage or anything like that, as survivors will bleed out. Survivors also have perks to help against slugging - Unbreakable, Soul Guard etc
-
Balanced Landing already does reduce the fall stagger for survivors. Removing it completely would be pretty unbalanced on many maps that have a high variety of drop down places.
-
There's a couple of things here:
Some of the things that you have described as "trolling" are actually valid in-game things - such as the killer slugging you, that's not reportable.
Survivors working with the killer is something that is reportable in-game and you can send video evidence to our support team also to back up your report.
We do not remove the DC penalty, situations where you need to DC from a game are rare and that's why the DC penalty is kept low initially. If you are being slugged, that's definitely not a valid reason.

What about wraith no longer opening lockers faster with shadow dance? That wasn't in a patchnote.
It's never been intended that Shadow Dance blood opens lockers faster - it says clearly on the addon what it affects. If it did affect lockers, that would have been a bug.
-
Some times chapters/mid chapters will have a different date than the expected one - that's why we always say to wait until we confirm this information.
-
And this forum is not a DbD Mobile Forum - the tournaments here are for the core game.
-
Being completely realistic here, we had daily complaints over the old matchmaking system as well.
Most players would end up at Red Ranks - same as they end up at Iri Grade now (although right now, a bit more time is involved due to everyone being reset to the beginning), especially as you only dropped a colour ranking section on the 13th of each month so more and more players ended up in red ranks and there was a massive mix of skills at that level. Players were matched with other ranks around the same rank system (depending on queue times etc) and still the matches were unbalanced, we'd have players complain they got stomped or they did stomp.
I think we naturally (as humans I mean) look back on things more favourably with nostalgia rather than the reality of the situation in general.

im waiting with this release, but i dont what happens in linux stay update always, i cannot play in the steamdeck, is terrible, bad for BHVR for a simple update
There is nothing with regards to Steam Deck in this weeks Mid Chapter Update.
-
This hasn't been changed, it still does not affect MMR.
-
The engine does get updated, there's many versions of Unreal 4...and we do update to a different version from time to time. There's one happening with the release this week, as many saw in the PTB, hence the longer download times.
-
Where the hatch spawn is one of a number of locations and that's chosen at the start of the match, it doesn't change throughout the match either I'm afraid.
-
Just want to manage some players expectations here, there's currently no plans to customise killer powers. This is the artist expressing their own opinion on their social media, not something that's planned to happen.
-
The update is planned to go Live on Wednesday of this week.
-
The Server decides what action was done first but it is not able to invalidate the action itself.

I'd absolutely be down for a 10-12% increase in wiggle time, but only if survivors gained a flat 1% total progress (0.17 seconds)
A survivor can hit a skill check every 0.72 seconds or so (ballpark) meaning they can reduce their wiggle timer by 1 second over 4 seconds if they hit every check. Which means, if a survivor is flawless in their skill checks, they can reduce their timer by 3 seconds after 12 seconds of wiggling.
While the wiggle bar may increase to 17, survivors capable of hitting each skill check can wiggle out in 13.5 seconds or so.
Yes, survivors can wiggle out MUCH faster, 2.5 seconds faster if they use the skill checks. But increasing the wiggle timer to 17-18 seconds by default would make the change totally worth it.
It would make hooking less of a bore and a lot more engaging, especially when you have to make a risky play for a scourge hook or work around body blocking.
Even if you hit every great skill check with the beta system - that's a flat 1s off the initial time of 16s.

Any solution for this since it's been reported? Recently upgraded to 11 and am having the same issue.
This is not a bug on our end, it does seem to be individual user settings.
If you require support on this, I do suggest posting in the tech sub forum.

Hello Mandy this is great to hear : D
Do you know if there has been adjustments to Legion's Chase music? Specifically the volume.
I don't believe anything changed on Legions, I could be wrong about that though
-
There have been adjustments made to GF's chase music prior to the release next week.

Oh thank goodness. I’m glad that and the hemorrhage feedback was addressed, I think those were probably the two things I saw come up the most lol
For sure, these were the two things that I saw the most feedback around after the PTB.

can confirm there's been changes to the GF's music.

Planned for Wednesday 27th APRIL. :)

Thanks for addressing the stalk range bug, it definitely was pretty major. Can we have insight on what other bugs were taken care of?
The stalk zone changes (where the stalk circle now extends to the top and bottom of the killer's screen) seemed to be intended according to the PTB patch notes, but bear in mind that this is actually a detrimental change for higher level ghostface players and prohibits the use of higher level strats which make use of the edge of the stalk zone, so this must be reverted in my opinion.
In addition, the majority of the community feels that the chase music can be grating and I have to agree.
Any other bug fixes/changes will be listed on the patch notes. We generally do not give all the information on the blogposts.

gorgeous cat! I used to have one that tried to put herself into any box she could, regardless of the size, even the smallest boxes she tried to fit herself into, she squashed loads of them as a result.

Definitely NOT the fact it told me I had to wait 4 minutes for post or that a post was closed with a racist response and not addressed for the response but because the topic of the post advocated against an action taken by developers and was placed in feedback. (because enough has been said) though it's my first post in years.
I have always said Leatherface needed more faces since only the first four survivors really limited me (and variety was limited)
But now I found out I cannot block people who seemed to me to be baiting in a topic about feedback.
your post was closed because the question was answered.

Honestly, the hope that under the Feedback/Suggestion forum that you guys are actually looking at our suggestions and getting ideas from them. Every now and then I see some really good ideas from the community about problems or issues in game play. The last DBD developer stream one of you guys mentioned how you guys DO read them and want more. Honestly this was a really good form of validation knowing that our posts, our ideas and suggestions don't fall into an abyss of nothingness never to be seen.
Can confirm they definitely get read, that's part of my job to do - and the reason we have that section on the forum.

There are 197 perks in game.. what percentage of the community actually understand how they work or how they synergize?
Considering the amount of bbq&chill hate on the forums imo it's less than 50% of the community.
Most players don't play both roles and have a limited understanding of the game.
Diluting the core player base for the sake if speed will cause more frustration ingame.
The variety we want is more top tier killer characters worth playing as or against.. not games against midrange mmr killers that use trapper etc.
I like the game how it was when I purchased it and the game has continue to grow even when..
Matchmaking crashed for days because this became free Playstation plus title.
When promoted events dropped with major bugs.
When players glitched auric cells and you let them keep the currency.
So I searched "removing grades" here on the forms and found 23 pages of discussions.
Then I searched "nerf deadhard" and found over 300 pages of discussions js
In closing.. grades indicate experience/ knowledge and while they're meaningless to others, some of us found them helpful js
No grades didn't show experience or knowledge, they only showed time played that month. We have many players who get to Iri 1 on both sides - this does not mean their MMR is high. Especially as most players fall in the medium MMR bracket and only a small percentage are higher, it clearly shows that Grades are not equal to MMR but to time played.

Lets hope no one gets bullied ^_ ^
It's only affecting a very small percentage of players at the highest range of MMR. Those players will be matched now with other really really good players - again a very small percentage, it will increase matchmaking times for these players and the matches won't be particularly unbalanced either.
The majority of players are in the mid MMR ranges - so will not be affected by these changes in the slightest.

Me too ngl
There were 16 of us and 3 progress to the next stage so I'm really hoping I get through lol
I had to wear a tie for 3 hours it was awful
yeah ties are not fun! same like heels - and I always wear heels for an interview cos it makes my posture better, of course I always fall over when wearing heels so there's that to consider...

Removing Grades from the end screen has been one of the most requested things from the Community.
A lot of the community believed that grades = MMR which it clearly does not, Grades are pretty much only a representative of time played that month and nothing else.
It does not affect matchmaking in the slightest.
The matchmaking changes that were implemented will affect a very small portion of the players - those at the very peak off MMR.

I dont open doors, this does not address 99ing doors or that they should have regression.
I explained that in my previous post - EGC is not there to help killers get kills but to end the match. Having regression on doors would heavily favour the killer.
-
@DrDeepwound said:
just something else survivors exploit.
end-game was supposed to stop the hanging out wasting time after match, but nope, just gonna 99 the doors and crouch all around map for 10 minutes
doors should regress
If survivors have 99'd the doors and are hiding around the map - the killer can open the doors!
-
99'ing gates is something that has come up often, and regressing those gates was something that was tested internally and decided against.
EGC is not there to help either side - it's to prevent situations where the games could last forever by being taken over in a hostage situation, old hatch standoffs etc. That's why the ability is there for the killer to open the gate, so if you're having a hard time and just want that match to be over, you have that option.
99'ing the gates is a tactic that has risks attached to it (especially in solo queue), as if someone is injured and being chased and then they run to the gate, they still have the animation of having to work on the switch, and they're also out of position to get through the gates.
Prior to EGC survivors could just open the gates and do whatever, now they can't so there's more pressure on them when the gates are open - that's purely for the hostage situations. As a killer you can force these survivors out, you can choose to break pallets on the map, you can wait out the timer (same as a survivor has to wait out the timer being slugged at the end of the match).
-
MMR is not turned off.
Yes the new rules were implemented last night and Grades hidden permanently.
-
I don't believe Dead Dawg is survivor sided at all, it's most likely pretty even if it favours one side over the other then it's likely to be the killer side, especially once the breakable walls are broken. The tiles are not as safe as some other maps, even some of the ones with strong pallets are playable from the killer point of view.
It seems to be a map that most killers do very well on

I have no clue why bodyblocking was re-allowed. I just got paired with a quad SWF group. I had one knocked in a corner. I pick them up and can't move because I'm surrounded by three other people. I hit each one once before they left but I couldn't hook anyone(including the person I had knocked). There's no way in hell that should be possible/allowed. A good way to look at it is: Is there a good reason that it SHOULD be allowed...
re-allowed? Bodyblocking in this manner has never been considered a problem.
You've got survivors off gens, one slugged - you pick up and they body block you, you then have a few options - the obvious one is to drop the survivor you were carrying and hit the others, that has more survivors injured and more pressure on the match, those survivors are not working on gens at that point. You have a good chance of downing another survivor here as well, and with others injured there's no problem hooking that survivor that you've just downed. Plus the others will be healing and not working on gens.
