The pig is fine, want to do an anti loop? Occupy the pallet, take it hostage and crunch, fake and ambassador left for example and turn right rapidly.done, you hit that survivor, grats
I'm happy to have bought the pig, her mind games are fun to execute as well as her power to slow down the game and keep them busy. Sometimds even catching them while trying to get that "hat" off while the box laugh at them giving sound notification even if way too quiet in my opinion
Anyway right now she's cool, maybe need some tweaks I you wanna push her in higher tier but overall she has everything you need -
I might be wrong but they kinda """nerfed"""' that
I mean, when they introduced it I couldn't hit unhooked people in front of me giving Tims to body block or straight up running with no harm whatsoever but after a little while I thought they removed it since I can hit them again if they do a bad unhook
I was actually happy they removed that and I think they did since was a idiotic mechanic. Made my farmer mates want to farm me even more since a dumb protection was up and felt unfair as killer be punished to punish bad plays
I think those example might be lag, I haven't seen this for a while now that's why I thought they straight up removed it. To be precise on the spirit buff, before the heal Nerf, I didn't notice that mechanic be ingame anymore -
Every time I see these kind of posts I can't stop thinking " am I the only one that can see the hit coming depending on the killer distance?"
If the killer is too close I know if I put down the pallet I'm gonna get hit. Am I a god or the OPs of these threads never look back during chases?
Seriously, I really don't know how you don't expect that. When I get hit through the pallet the only thing I think "f*** I messed up", same for vaults. Just look back and think what would be the best to do.
Too close? Try go juke, killers have an awful FoV
Too distant? get in positions to loop
He must lunge to hit you? Drop the pallet

Drop it earlier. Problem solved

Sorry but I have to say.. No ######### Sherlock
Its almost obvious they don't do that. Check any game formula and will be the same. Tao OW for example. People made for months posts over posts to get a reverse on mercy doing an excellent job by describing everything to have fun again. What happened? Closed theaters and ignore the hours spent to write very good threads
That happens everywhere, take any game and would do the same. Only in few occasion they might listen (blight event for example) but that's it. Welcome to the real world, where software houses sell products, they don't bother looking forward to the community and can't blame them tbh. So far BHVR are one of the few ones who listen what people say sometimes, others don't even bother coughblizzarcough -
Look any other game, especially some (coughleagueoflegcough) that actually copy paste some design for skins from movies, games, comics etc and even some chars from other games changing the design a little bit
DbD did a pretty good job so far with their original things, obviously not including licensed stuff -

Wow, by cheat with friends you mean "a feature intended by devs"? That's a new level of cheating

Boosted killers: "Playing with friends is cheating! REEEEEEEEEEEE"
Also boosted killers: cheats by abusing lobby leave feature--intended to disconnect from bad ping lobbies-- to cherry pick easy opponents for easy rank
Babyrage Handbook:
Step 1: Dodge every SWF
Step 2: Get rank you don't deserve and never learn how to versus SWF
Step 3: Get demolished by SWF when feeling confident
Step 4: Complain about SWF on forum
Step 5: Repeat
Survivors dc too if you dribble
Hate mail an/or post in the forum how that's an exploit
DC during the game ruining the game of other3 survivors bothering them and the killer but only the last one most of the time get the blame
If killer dodgea a lobby you can search for a game istantly, if a survivor DC the killer has to play the entire of the game
Derank is endorsed by BHVR and fogstreamers
Lobby dodge isn't even close to the issue of a survivor DC
If killer DC you lose nothing, just time. As survivor if you DC you ruin the game for everyone and waste their time also -
The end game need a total reward in general. These quick fixes won't fix the core problem
Right now can be abuse but also give a chance to survivors who did 2 gens while other team mates were dying by playing poorly. When they'll fix it the hatch won't be an issue but its hard to find a not abuse solution, the only thing we can do I wait for now -
OK so you're rank 15 or think the game should be balanced around newbie and not the high ranks players. After that statement I really don't carenomorevideos said:@Malakir said: zee

@The_Daydreamer said: Imo NOED doesnt need any change or rework at the moment. It does his job and can be countert. Sorry, but I disagree. So just because it "can", potentially, be countered it's not broken or outright a crutch? Good opinion buddy. Why "can" lol clease totems, adapt
Like the devs said to all killers when infinities were thing. Adapt
Crutch perk but it can be nullified haha what a joke
So can DS, doesn't mean it's not a crutch perk. Your perception of it is "if you can do something it's not bad/a crutch" when in reality that doesn't matter. Again you can't even counter my argument of "it rewards bad killers for doing nothing the whole game". Someone could literally sit in the basement for the entire game and then get a 4k in endgame or just use remember me and some other endgame perks alongside NOED and still easily get a 4k for basically playing like trash the entire "match". Infinites were fixed because they were an actual issue and not fun. Yet you're using it as argument here, like the devs were right when they said "just adapt" when in reality to fixed it after seeing how bad the problem really was. Maybe you're the strawman here.
Lol are you serious? Omg for the whole thread I just sent a guy crying over a clensable perk. If you cannot press 1 button. for 20s and nullify a perk then yes, its fine punish you. Yes I use just adapt because you won't adapt, you won't cleans totems, and even if you cleanse just two and noed still activate it means 1 gates are powered 2 noed spawned and can be cleaned 3 you can just run away since the killer would camp that guy and won't pipe anyway (the hooked guy will if he did the gens) giving you time to escape or look for noed and the save
I know its hard thinking about things and its better straight up lie saying a killer can 4k standing still till noed proc. Which is a dumb statement unless you are a rank20 who swarm the hook knowing he has noed active. You are the one making dumb statements and lying about this whole thing to fit your narrative. I'm not strawmaning I'm saying that if even me, a bad evader that play mostly stealthy can take a chase looping a killer and escape hiding even when noed is into play, anybody can
GitGud boy
pure crutch perk that's designed for little timmy
git gudYeah okay. All I did was propose a change for NOED that would actually require skill to use and not just blindly reward rank 15 babies for spamming M1 cause they couldn't be bothered to put pressure on the survivors and learn basic gameplay mechanics. Ofc rank 15 huntresses like you will crawl out of the woodwork and tell me to just cleanse totems, because that's viable and everyone does it. Despite the fact that it was never the main issue. The main issue is that NOED is a crutch perk, more than DS, and now that they buffed it it's even more evident. I used to run NOED3 on my Wraith, but I can't even use it anymore and instead I'll play 2-3 perk Wraith for my dailies. Running NOED is actual cancer, because it just proves you're a bad killer.
Every competitive game should be balanced around the high plays not around the one who just started.
You ain't entitled to say anything about balance especially when you call buff a tweak to make it an usable perk even at level 1 an 2 cutting off some grinding which is good.
Your points are pretty bad since you prefer look that tweak and not the 9 perks improvements for surveys, which I totally love and wanna see more so yeah.. Nice trying baiting and if you're not baiting I suggest you to get informed before spreading bias -
And depip. Thank you for your input, meaningless but enjoyable. As Doc said sometimes pay offs so much because you guys are overly altruistic and that's true. When you see they tend to do Instagram unhooks its obvious he stick aroundThe_Crusader said:
Maybe gens get done fast because the killer is too busy camping to put pressure on the survivors?DocOctober said:Dear Survivor mains, camping is just as much unfun to Killers as it is to you, but thanks to how fast gens are done, how little time Killers have and how overly altruistic you guys tend to be, it often pays off.
Go watch rank 1 streamers play killer. Notice how they're too busy chasing someone every second to be camping. You don't need to camp/tunnel to win games. There's a mental barrier around purple ranks that people struggle with in this mindset.
Camping is basically a killer saying "well you guys are too tough for me, I'm done, I'm just gonna get this guarenteed kill instead".
Just get better at hiding. After they hit you few seconds pass for cleaning the weapon. Usually I hide in that time and I'm just done. I still don't get it now you struggle against killers before reaching red ranks
Even then stealth beats almost all of them.
"Guaranteed kill" like it would give 6k bp if hada good long chase then depip and get 1 kill out of 4.Just be less altruistic and you'll survive a lot more. Save it you're 100% sure he is in a chase or away. That's it, wow so complicated I know -
wait you mean high ranks?TheLegendDyl4n1 said:@Master said:
Camping isnt fun.Usually killers camp if they cant have fun in the game or if they want to make survivors suffer.
Really hard to tell what was going on in the match, but I assume somone looped him or sth and he was just sick of that. There are only very few killers that camp because they like that "playstyle".One thing you need to be aware of. If you dont follow the "killers codex", then they might see no reason to follow your "survivor codex"

no the game had just started and he decided to go after me and didnt want to leave i hate killers like that because i cant climb back down to low ranks.
You can't climb down unless you wanna depip, in that case is good be camped. That sentence confuses me
Anyway as master said its not fun for either side. Maybe that guy picked you because in the last game other survivors made his game a torture so he needed to vent like that. Its the only thing I came in mind. I know its not fair but happens, play killer sometimes is very stressful if you're against decent survivors and everybody reacts in different ways
Happens, like happens to have that idiot that farm your ass in front of the killer then you play killer and get destroyed by a swf then go back to survivor and get farmed. and eternal cycle of tilting -
Troll thread 3/10 you can do better

Yeah I didn't used haunted ground for a reason. Its up to survivors cleanse that and there I a reason why nobody uses it. Its useless since give you nothing to pressure the map so there is no point to even take it into consideration. The point of I I have some sort of bait if you run ruin so they have to chance to pick the wrong one but in that case you sacrifice 2 perks and when they clean them both you stay with 2 perks and in the case you have noed now you have 1 perk for early-mid gameAerys said:@Malakir
Well, they could possibly increase the wiggle bar % Survivors need to reach before they get the skill check, for both the Obsession and non-Obsession, which would help you get to the hook even with a DS user, but it's somewhat funny how often there's a hook right there for me when I pick one up where I can hook them before they DS completes, then when I pick them up again later they use it on me lol.Again, it's a whole perk that gets used up and is gone after going off, if you're going to have a perk like that its single use has to have a strong effect. As far as balance is concerned it is balanced, because not only can it be used just once the entire game (whereas a Perk like self-care is useful 100% of the time), but you can fail the skill check (even the best fail sometimes, no one is perfect and whether it's just due to being tired, distracted, high, or drunk, there are cases where it'll happen to everyone) and you can be hooked before the skill goes off.
You also used NOED as your counter, and while fine I admit you're right in that, you didn't use Haunted Ground for a reason as it's exactly the same as DS in that it can only be used once and it has a strong effect (kind of the opposite of DS in a way). You could say that the counter to it is not cleansing the Hex Totem but the dangers of not doing so heavily outweigh the dangers of not so if found (which let's be honest finding a totem is in no way difficult) it will be cleansed and the Killer will get that effect. It can also fail in the sense that you don't hit anyone within 60s but that's another reason it's balanced, it gives a strong effect but can fail and can only be used once, sounds like DS to me.
% wiggle won't solve the problems. Isn't that "its fair cuz its once per march" even adrenaline its once people match and its really strong. I use that and sometimes I don't even heal since I get free Insta healthy and sprint burst by that. The point is with one DS as I explained, you can take over another minute from the killer which means 1 to 2 genes. Time is gold for killer unlike surveys whichbare in control of this timer
If you think haunted ground is like DS I really don't know what to tell you. HG I used to protect your actual main hex, and almost nobody uses it since give no pressure and take away one perk slot, another gamble perk in another words. Any hex is a gamble since can be cleaned, while DS is easy to hit and give a free ticket for pallet town. I do that already without it, I can imagine how can I be annoying have 3 lives instead
Idk if you think one of those most unused killer perks can be matched to the most annoying and arguably strongest perk for survivor, idk what to tell you. Stick to your idea if make you feel better. Even if the devs themselves admitted that was a mistake by their part and won't do the same but ok -
You can counter nodded, people stop using these comparison. Yes if you are at rank 15-10 they might use it badly but I think that game should be bqlanced towards good players not the bad onesAerys said:Well I've never had more than two DS users in one match, and it's an entire perk that is gone once they use it, and I've always been able to catch them not long after they've fled anyhow, so honestly I don't see it as that huge of an issue, especially since they can fail their skill check which gives me a small laugh as a good game oughta. Does it suck when they successfully use it? Sure, of course it does. But does that mean it isn't a fair reward for an entire perk? One that has the chance to fail completely? I can't say it logically isn't. Thus I say it's a fair perk, just like haunted ground or NOED are.
In a scenario where both sides have the same amount of skill at rank 1 being pretty good. 1) the survivor won't miss that skill check since as survivor you do skillchecks 24/7 and isn't a big deal. 2) the time is against the killer so if he catch a survivor in 30s-1min per hit and you add DS giving extra time, is an issue
Noed get destroyed by cleansinf totems and even if you don't after catching a survivor you can count to 20 and its gone since they are notified he has it. Then go to the hook he's probably camping, save the guy with BT an that's it. I've done this many times without DS and BT since I don't use those, imaging using them too
I play mostly survivor and when I bought the halloween pack for Mayer's I wanted to try Laurie to see how hard is this skill check that everybody say it is. Lv1 Laurie ofc, and I felt bad how easy it is. Its harder hit a great skill check on a gen tbh. plus you cannot take away DS from survivors like hexes for killers. I won't even ######### that much if only 1 ds is allowed per game and its the obsession like giving in the lobby a small icon that only surveys can see to say something like 'don't use DS, I'm using it this match'
Its a free escape and super annoying when a non obsession give you a stun and a free loop pass -

Dude recent devstream showed survival rate is below 50%. How is that one sided to survivors?below 50% is vague. Survivors [BAD WORD] on hooks dc when they get mad ect. That percentage means nothing.
Did the devs actually state what the breakdown was or are you like the others assuming what fits your narrative for either side?
that's the point. I don't know what that stats mean so its meaningless to me. Does it count dc? how count? as kill or escape?
Take in consideration deranking before the resets since a lot of people does this and they endorse it?
They didn't specify a lot of "behavior" people do but just raw stats which means nothing. Its like in a moba i take one hero and say people win 80% of the time with him but don't consider that he get picked 1% of the time for numerous reasonsRaw stats are meaningless if you don't put it on a contest. I bet low ranks die a lot, and higher wont but when I play survivor from rank 10 to 1 I see 2-3 people escape everytime and rarely 3k or 4k for the killer the stat feel kinda odd. So when someone do a 23 escapes in a row you don't take it into consideration?
In conclusion the only stats I agree on are the mori ones which is actually pretty accurate but when it comes to surviving it feels weird. Watching various survivor streamings too, I watch them to get better and they rarely die if they are high ranks. Same to me, i'm not that good and i still survive often, so Idk, since they don't specify what that graph mean except a raw estimate I won't take it into consideration especially when they did so many mistakes in the past (freddy) just by looking the raw datas
When they have a decent amount of beta testers and not us since our opinions could be biased to some extent, and give a detailed explanation of what they take into consideration for these kind of graph, I would actually take it as a fact. For now, its just a random graph that anybody can do, especially when in my matches I see 4 people rank 1-3 and another guy rank 18, aswell as the other way around.
I think some nerfs are dumb (vault changes) since they prefer do a lazy quick fix instead of taking care of the core problems, they need to figure out what they wanna do with their own game. They seems confused, not really knowing if wanna make it competitive or for fun, doing weird changes that goes in both sides and doesn't really work. You have a rank system, but its easy to get to rank 1 with these emblems. At the same time you nerf and buff things without fully abusing of your ptb to actually have a feedback. Weird changes over and over again every patch nerfing survivors but without really helping killers (except for few things like the healing change). Its odd how they are managing their game, they kinda look afraid and going blindly. If i was them I would abuse the hell out of ptb to have feedbacks on new mechanics, or fixes etc not only a preview of changes that are gonna come eventually.
That's just my thought, I love this game and I wish the best for it but they need to fix core problems. For both sides. I would suggest to go towards competitive scenarios instead of this weird middle ground that's not either fish or beef. The company would get more attention, more money, easier to pay and hire talented people and make it grow. Kinda how league did, as silly example. Make it entertaining to watch and to play, fun to have a killer chase your ass and think how to outsmart him and as killer feel empowered making them fear you
its hard, isn't easy, would take some time but as far as I can see they are going, slowly, in the right direction. I want this game to shine as anybody else. Would be great if these "mains" would actually play 100% of the game instead of 50% and cooperate to fix problems for either sides. Pretty hard to happen but we can if we stop to be "Salt and Memes" community

Exactly, a skill check to get a free pallet city tour. What a bad idea..Aerys said:I still think the only change that should be made is that if the Killer drops a DS user the Killer should go through the stun animation regardless as though DS worked, that way juggling would be erased. Killer get punished by doing genes and getting depipped. Also BT counters itCroz said:I think making struggle phase more rewarding while in the killer's terror radius should fix camping. As in if you're being camped and you get to the struggle phase you get enough point to black pip or if you had enough objective at some point it might be enough to pip.
This will encourage survivors who are being camped to stay and waste the killer's time. Being camped is not fun and in most cases players just suicide on hook when they realize they're being camped to just go to the next game and that in my opinion is why some killers still do it looking for the one hook kills and easy wins.
Its your mates fault that make this strategy available I they don't do gens and swarm the hook
Also yeah being camped isn't run but also look survivors pants ain't run either. If you think camping its an easy win you're delusional. 1 man kill makes no chad point no deviousness no emblems at all and de pip

Survivors cant get rid of your addons or powers. (No disabling traps doesnt count because you still use them) but killers can? How is that in any way balanced?
Stop complaining about one use addons when you have full perks that make those useless. I'm not 'crying' but simply suggesting something for balance just like the DS discussions. You dont like it then put some real solutions out there or explain why it is balanced because all I'm seeing is killers getting upset and not any real answers. I'm here to discuss. The way I see it my rework makes the game harder to use items in the actual game as tier 3 makes the item COMPLETELY USELESS. The current perk just makes you drop it so you can pick it up at a later time and use it. To be honest it's better for killers. The only real difference is survivors continue to hold onto their item. Not your problem anymore after that.

**Why do I think, that Myers could need a few changes?
Myers get recognised so fast, that he can't stalk good enough. Just after getting to Tier II and getting looped, he can use his stalk ability qiet good.I would recommend, that he get his stalk points faster, can stalk multiple person, but he can't stalk that much.
Maybe reduce his Tier III Timer, but increases his movement speed?
One of the reasons why Freddy is bad, he's a m1 killer that can be looped like that with the downside he can't hit you before warning you 7s before.

It does not matter. If you're wiggling, you're wiggling at max speed. It's a set rate, you can't go faster. The only time it goes slower is if you do it slow enough that your character physically stops wiggling, as in you're doing it so slow that the bar doesn't increase at all.
It does feel like there is some sort of optimal stick movement though. Like if you go too fast, or use wrong movements it goes slower.

True but that is a % thing so who play a lot can DC a lot morePeanits said:If someone disconnects excessively, chances are they will be banned. The game automatically flags and bans anyone that disconnects beyond a certain threshold in a given month. If they're disconnecting over petty things like going down, I'm willing to bet they'll be on the next ban list. DC bans start at a week and escalate up to permanent (1w > 2w > 4w > permanent).
I think deranking them would be counter productive, as some of them want to be lower ranks to play against low ranked killers/survivors so they can BM and feel like they're good at the game. Banning them outright would also be a little much because you can never tell when someone needs to legitimately DC. For example, the game bugs out and you get stuck somewhere where the killer can't kill you and you can't escape, or someone is griefing or cheating and you just don't want to stick around for it. More importantly, that would mean that those who play the game more would be punished harder because they're bound to run into those situations eventually (if you play ten matches a month, no big deal, but if you play a hundred matches a month, your chances of running into something like that at some point are ten times higher).
I prefer something like some mobas do with some tweaks before play again
1dc? Its OK
2dc - 1 min
3dc- 5min
4dc - 20 min
Etc and it resets daily not monthly which makes them DC way more often. if is meant daily it won't hurt who play a lot of who play just a few games a day since if you play a lot 5 mins around nothing. You watch a video and that's it
Maybe even 2 free dc a day would be fine since who dc for meaningless reasons would keep doing it often and at least would get punished for doing so -
Mg remind me something
Anyway until they have decent beta testers (none for now) and base buffs and needs on statistics that means nothing since ranked system is a joke map design is ridiculous, they won't fix many things
Remember when flashlights could instablind and the dev didn't fix it until he got bodied in love by 4 survivors bullying him
They are going in the right way but would take long before they fix these "little" things
Even if say "costs me the win" for few grabs isn't true. Even if it happens you should be able to win depending on the survivors you're facing (obviously) -

There is no clear guide to counter him, well except to genrush the ######### out of him since he spends a lot of time on his traps, the only universal weakness.
I'm getting tunneled all game
got any advice for that? You mentioned trapper and spirit then mention tunneling, why am I not surprised?
Spirits havent been as bad recently but literally 99.9% of trappers tunnel. Its all they ever do. If you're first on the hook in a game against the trapper it's game over for you. Best thing to do is go pure stealth and hide until someone else is hit first. Then rush gens and let someone else go for the rescue. Trappers seem to be tethered to a 30-35m radius around the hook so its not worth unhooking someone as they will just die faster that way.
Thats what his kit was built for. He simply isnt a mobile killer, he has to play strategically
Watch any rank 1 killer play him, they do the right thing and trap every good loop in the game in non-obvious spots.
You need to play smart with the traps and trapper can kind of get a snowball effect. Using his abilities just to camp/tunnel only works at low ranks and even then people still manage to get away. -
I know that feeling. I just had a free game cuz a ds user got outplayed on a mind game and downed. In his profile he even attacked (rank 1/1 dbd) and other game stats, proud of it
Its just sad people DC like that. This I the only online game in a competitive setup that don't punish dc. In any other one gives an increase timeout depending on how many dc you did during the day, it should be implemented to a certain extent so won't punish harshly who had internet/software/hardware issues -
People would use third party ######### anywayAvariku said:I've mentioned this idea before and it always seems to get shot down, but I still don't fully understand why.
if they had an in-game comms system that operated by radius(only able to speak to/hear those close to you) it would fix a lot of the issue.
players couldn't convey information from across the map as easily, they would have to shut up when the killer is nearby (realistic), and it would open comms up for non-swf players as well.
yes there would be toxicity issues, but that's what a mute/report function would be used for.
The thing is the game needs a fair environment. Even if you face a swf 4man with coms but the map is balanced, you have the same chances in both sides. Swf might be better in regards of hook swarm in but that's it in my scenario.
Swf would be fine that way the problems comes up when a 1v1 scenario is so unbaanced in certain situations which is crazy in an asymmetrical game.
As mostly solo survivor I won't mind buff some m1 killer at all, the other way around actually! But I would stick to my idea that maps need to be well designed first
Just imagine changing 2 things that might look as straight up buffs, what difference can make. Remove red stain on killers and increase fov since it first person. Lol are you serious? Omg for the whole thread I just sent a guy crying over a clensable perk. If you cannot press 1 button. for 20s and nullify a perk then yes, its fine punish you. Yes I use just adapt because you won't adapt, you won't cleans totems, and even if you cleanse just two and noed still activate it means 1 gates are powered 2 noed spawned and can be cleaned 3 you can just run away since the killer would camp that guy and won't pipe anyway (the hooked guy will if he did the gens) giving you time to escape or look for noed and the savenomorevideos said:@Malakir said:

Instead of pretending to have more info I would suggest to have less. Noed can be cleaned, DS cannotthesuicidefox said:My problem with NOED is that too many killers rely on it to help them win. It's always the killers that are really bad, where survivors take 10 minutes to do a gen and they got 1 hook and smacked a few people, that have NOED. It's a crutch.
Which is exactly what DS is too. I don't mind it so much for the obsession, because you can play around it most of the time. But when 3 or 4 survivors have it it's completely game breaking. Heck it's borderline game breaking at 1 use, and worst part is you have no idea who else has it and since they don't use it right away it has more potential to screw you over at a crucial moment.
The way I look at it... NOED needs a tell. If you cleanse a dull totem and the killer has ANY totem perk in play you get the little triangle Hex icon, but not a notification of what Hex it is until you officially trigger it. Survivors then can do a single dull totem, see a Hex is in play, and by the course of the game eliminate all other Hexs to KNOW it will be a NOED and to plan accordingly. This makes it less of a crutch tactic for bad killers since they won't usually get the surprise on someone. Plus it would do what killers what, which is slow the game as survivors will take time to do totems.
DS should only be available to the obsession, and the size of the skill check increases with each instance in the group (to give some benefit to having more than 1 DS). Too many survivors rely on this to escape, the only one who even NEEDS this is the obsession because there are 2 perks that say "kill this person ASAP". If you want to be an obsession so bad then put on another perk or take the chance you go in with 1 less perk. Maybe to be fairer to solo players, give a notification to all survivors in the lobby if one of them is using an obsession perk. That way you can swap to something else if you see others might be using it.
When an hex get destroyed everybody knows, which is dumb per se. I receive a ton of info that I don't need as survivor.
You shouldn't be notified about everything, beside that I won't touch totems right now since the spawns are awful. If totems where decently hidden so people could use other hexes besides ruin and noed, and the first last for 30s on average, then I might agree on certain degree. I'd rather run devour hope if I have to choose. Its way more fun, the killer get stronger over the course of the game but can be counted as well. The problem is most of the time I cleanse totems and notice that guy had devour noed and ruin and none of them activated. It feels cheap especially when I spawn into them
About DS yeah, if was obsession only I won't even change the perk itself. Maybe tweak some numbers but that's it. Would be OK, like in the lobby only survivor see the DS icon over the head of the user and accordingly change their setup. -

Maybe I've just been unlucky with my teams. They havent ALL ended that way, but its just felt that if the killer knows what he is doing, then the balance is by far on his side, regardless of whether the survivors know what they are doing or not.
When you learn to not be too afraid of the killer and the distances you will perform better and even just doing 2 gens you can survive with a bad team too

Yeah totally.. I athink some nerfs are dumb (vault change) just because they prefer so easy fixes than a huge balance. Like a decent map design instead of making unintuitive the vaults mechanic. But they are going in the right way step after step like for healing changes. The problem is they are kinda lazy for these things and keep nerfing the wrong things so won't face the huge problems that require more time to fix and a full team to look at -

Gotcha. Screw balance, screw logic … survivor need to be protected from nasty surprises, because it's a horror game and that could scare them … #########? Well balanced enough for you to want to put it in the killers base kit? Sure...whatever you say. It’s barely a horror game, there is no element of suprise and when you get hit with NOED it isn’t a genuine scare factor. It’s more like “Oh...okay, that just happened for the eighth time tonight.” I said what I said, I meant what I said and you heard what I said. My stance on NOED and DS has not changed and it probably never will. The game isn’t balanced on either side. the second point invalidates your ds noed comparison. Just imagine hex totems doesn't exist, in that case I would agree
Yes it is asymmetrical and the killer SHOULD have the power role but the killer can’t be untouchable. In a PvP game it’ll never be a true horror game. If they added a single player game mode then maybe it would but I doubt that will happen. I don’t really consider DBD to be a horror game to begin with. I put in it the same boat that I do F13, but extremely great party games to play with friends but when you play it alone you get drained out quickly especially if you take the game too seriously.
Some perks would be way overpowered without it being a hex unless you had competent teammates. Ruin and Devor Hope come to mind easily. Matches would end with five generators left and a four man mori.
It’s just getting old that people are still arguing over DS and NOED. Just saying if they were both gone there would be no complaining. Although killers can’t do without their precious little insta-downs. I would say the same with survivors not being able to do without their free escapes but I don’t see many people stick up for DS nor do I run into it a lot as killer but 80% of the time killers have NOED. It gives bad killers a kill because when there is four survivors left and you insta-down one of them, why would you go and chase the other three? There isn’t any point, you won’t get a four man. The killer killed that ONE person due to an insta-down and that is how MOST of the time NOED works. DS gives bad survivors a free escape. Both perks makes up for the players mistakes.
still people can't understand noed works by survivor mistakes to no cleanse totems. I've lost count of matches where noed didn't worked when practicing nurse. DS just rewards a mistake and cannot be preventing kicking an objective
I always do around 2-3 totems per march and if my mates do the same(lately more often) noed don't even proc.
"It gives a bad killers kills" maybe you should phase it like, punish lazy survivors who just wanna genrush when totems grants bp and boldness. Like, it even gives you points and you still cry about noed when its you fault you won't adapt
I know its a weird word but seriously, adapt. Noed is more frequent? Instead of ignoring totems just cleanse if you see some. Noed is the last perk I have a problems with as survivor and it actually bothers me that people like you cry about it, you know why? Because you guys are the kind of people who won't cleans them when you are in my team, then cry about it.
This sentence really nothers me for these reasons: "Both perks makes up for the players mistakes"
Which is a lie to have an excuse to don't adapt and press one button to 1) prevent a perk 2) free bp 3) free bold pointsI DO cleanse totems so don’t assume because it only makes you look worse. You know what they say about people who assume everything...
I cleanse any totem I see, it depends on your teammates as well because you may not find every single totem on the map by yourself.
Generators are the ONLY priority survivors NEED to do to win the match. So trying to escape is somehow lazy now?
My stance hasn’t changed and I said what I said and meant exactly what I said. DS and NOED rewards bad gameplay. If you allow all the generators to get done then why should you get an insta-down?
I’m not telling you to adapt to DS because it is rewarding bad gameplay. Don’t tell me to adapt to NOED when it also rewards bad gameplay on the killers part. I can easily adapt to any perk or add-on if need be but some are just plain out annoying.
yes the gens are the priority but totems as I described, are secondary obj and skip that is being lazy. If you don't agree I won't even care for how stubborn your answer was.
I'm done since I can't have a discussion with someone who won't so stick to your idea.

"free bp" as if ignoring gens to work on totems isn't a terrible idea anyway with the current strategy of camping being prevalent.
even without camping this puts the survivors at a slight disadvantage and potentially wastes time that isn't needed.
but DS which is a ONE TIME USE skill is somehow overpowered?
personally I don't care about either perk, I'll adjust to them as I need... but to hear the killer/survivor mains whining over their respective sides is ridiculous and the comparison between the two perks is annoying.
I'm with the others... remove both so the whining can stop.
I won't removed either, DS would be great if reworked. I gave even an idea time ago to make it a fun perk for both sides. I'd like to see it like a tool to survive but no like it is right now. Noed, same thing as I said, if you won't cleanse take the blame to yourself. 18s isn't such a big deal especially when people ask for other obj cuz the games are going too fast but ignoring totems (#########?)
I don't main either, i play both even if mostly survivor since its more relaxing and can watch videos while repairing. Just "wasted time that isn't needed", I know you might love gen rush but even if I hate repeat myself, Adapt!
If even a bad evader like me can survive and get rid of noed at the same time doing at least 2 gens per game, anybody can -
"So please, Killers on the forums, stop being cruel to us Survivors. Don't tell us to gitgud, cos there's a cap on how gud we can git so that you can also have an enjoyable game!"
Its actually the other way around, unless you are against the nurse.
Killers capitalize to survivors mistakes not the other way around. If a killer play perfectly and a survivor play perfectly, the survivor win. In a 1v1 situation, which is crazy in a 4v1 game. The actual limit you talk about isn't for survivors but for killers since survivors dictate the clock the killer have during the march.
You can apply pressure all you want but I they are efficient they will get a Huge advantage, just in the first two minutes in high rank 3-4 gens are popped. If you take the average time a killer spend to hit once a survivor which is around 30-40s at best makes it already around 1.2minutes. Not counting DS, safe spots that can prolong the chase, saves or losing the survivor after the first hit since I get a sprint burst and can hide.
I lost count of the last one. Every time someone hit me I just hide and they won't find me easily and usually let me go since 2 gens popped. I heal up, go to a gen and the gates are already powered. Only around rank 10-4 this might take longer since people just wondering around or stay in the closet when I get chased (still don't know why. Dwight main?)
In conclusion I laughed when they showed that chart. They didn't said anything but they took it 7days before the reset. They never clarified it DC count as deaths, people derank especially before the reset and they endorse it and they know it but won't specify when showing the charts. They talked about """"""facts""''''"" since probably, they are used to just look data and not how people 'BEHAVE' (emphasis on this word) abusing the quit. How does the killer DC count or don't count in the chart, etc etc
The only chart I see valid is the mori used based on the killer which is pretty predictable. Just the fact even there the sale haha I at third place cause she has devoted hope, which nobody uses because too risky and cleansed in the first 30s, shows how little they play their game and actually know about the game
@scumrrado -
Right now the game is getting some balance changes even if some still need fixes.
Like the vault change as a lazy fix for the bad maps design and the problems of the RNG. I actually would get rid off RNG totally and have a static well designed map, at least for a while, before re adding random pallet spawns for example
But I have to admit I liked the latest map changes even if needs improvement. The only thing is, more balanced it gets more survivors would cry for not be able to play mindlessly according to posts in this forum..
overall Its fun but I'd like to have more mind games spots. Is satisfying lose a killer in that way and I'd love to see more of it -

Balancing a game at the top means that players of equal skill have an equal chance to win. It's beneficial for everyone.
you're actually advocating for the top tier players to be coddled while the rest of the players have to "git gud" just to stand a chance, so if anything, it would seem you're the type to forsake the masses in favor of the few. not me. xD
Take league for example or CS or any fighting game. Isn't balanced around the larger group for many reasons.

where as DS has the potential to save ONE survivor ONCE...
I really couldn't care less about either perk, but I find the incessant whining from killers to be hilarious.
DS is gamebreaking but camping is a legit strat. xD
DS, especially no obsession one, can be less of an issue if you run enduring, and even that won't matter if the survivor have half of a brain cell and go to the nearest loop.
So yeah, the comparison is laughable. Just the fact you think camping isn't okay I can imagine which side you only play
Even a bad chaser like me (or evader?) Can survive against tunneling and camping just by using stealth. Anybody can, like anybody can take 20s to have extra bp and prevent akiller perk -
oh I forgot. You are Barron, the one who can't apply logic. Sorry my bad, you're right.Barron said:@Malakir said:

With the current balance of the game, D-Strike doesn't need to be changed. The perk isn't overpowered, it's just good. All you need to do is run enduring and the perk is a joke. Also, there are counters like juggling to hook.
'Being able to restart a chase after being caught is not overpowered'.
Yeah, okay.
"With the current balance of the game"? You evidently don't know how badly this game is balanced - against Killers.
Decisive Strike is undeniably broken. You might have scrubs who get downed the instant they get off the Killer's shoulder because they didn't plan out a route to go after getting off, but if the person who's using it is a god looper, the perk is broken.
Decisive Strike lets you restart a chase after you've been caught. The worst part of it, is that everyone can use the perk.
That last point should not be the case - there should only be one Survivor in the trial who can use Decisive Strike to escape; the Obsession. Non-Obsession Decisive Strike users should only cause the stun that BHVR are (or were) looking at. Or they should not have it at all.
You really need to take a better look at the state of this game, man.
Sure. Then lets get rid of NOED too. Since everyone can use that perk and it rewards terrible play during the entire game while giving you a huge boost to both speed and one hit at the end of game.
I don't see how "restarting the chase" as a one time deal is a bad thing. It happens once most games. As I said, just run enduring and it's not even an issue. I don't think a game is fun when you balance the survivors around only being able to run in straight lines. But from your rhetoric, you're an extremist. tons of people like you on these forums.
I've never seen the game so dead in the last few days. Could it be fatigue from overplay with 2 events in a row? Maybe. Could it be because the game has gone into stare at a progress bar simulator in the name of "balance", maybe? We'll see.
All i know is that they are probably killing their game because they listen to people like you, who are heavy weigh pseudo-intellectuals.
Stop comparing noed to DS. You can prevent noed before it activate, like any hex, devour hope for example. Just do 5 totems as a team and you're OK. With these totem spawns isn't even a challebge to find them
You can't prevent DS,you can play around it dribbling or in some cases just eat it, in either case you ain't disabled the perk like it I or survivors cleansing totems
Just say, use undressing, its like saying "use deja vu against the 3 gens patrol tactic"
Sorry how is the game dead? I Insta find games in both sides, the longest time I had to wait was 1min. Idk maybe you're talking about another game

You just played yourself. "I don't think its fun if you balance the survivor being able to run just in straight lines' theb say 'you're an extremist" omg are you serious?
I'd be able to respond to your post if there was some type of coherent message. Sadly, there is not.
Your survivor entitlement prevents yourself to comprehend something that doesn't fit your narrative, especially when debunked. I'm sorry I forgot about you
