I mean the positivity is dope but remember a forum is specifically designed for people to voice their thoughts on a public platform. Honesty and feedback shouldn't be conflated because simply observing or pointing stuff out isn't necessarily being negative. Also, the majority of posts I see are actually warranted and very quickly disappear the few recent times where good patches were released and BHVR was open/honest with everybody. People aren't mindlessly being negative, they're telling it like it is.
When the game has less bugs and better balance, better communication between the community and the Devs they will see nothing but positive posts covering all the pages. Its happened already in the past, the first 3 pages were nothing but extremely positive with only 3-4 neutral/troll posts
I completely understand all that. However, most of the posts I read are repetitive and usually nonsense. I acknowledged that there are things that need fixing to make sure I covered that I'm not saying the game is "perfect" just that people NEED to be more positive about things. From what I've seen, and this isn't a reflection on the community as a whole. People will always find SOMETHING to complain about. Nothing is perfect, and that's being human. Your arguments and thoughts are valid, but it does not invalidate the reasons for this post.

Thanks for this wholesome message to the game and community. Glad to see kind people and glad you still enjoy. :)
Even at my most irritated there are very few games I don't enjoy. I just love what the devs made this for, and even though I'm a tiny part of it. That's good enough for me.

Thank you for the positive post 👍
I am tired of coming on to this forum and clicking on posts with similar titles to see a rant about all the problems. Like yes i can agree with a lot of those problems but there's a lot of good in this game that should be acknowledged too.
That is literally why I did this. Tbh I figured most people would ignore it because of how often this kind of title is used. Glad I'm not the only one though.
-
I don't mind facing Huntress, but when it's a Huntress literally every other game I get frustrated. I usually don't get hit by bs hatchets that much though so that's maybe why.

I tested out Several. I will try Deathslinger a bit in the future. Ty for the Suggestion.
Legion for 6 games: Deadlock, Deerstalker, Pain Res, Jolt with iri button and cold dirt. 12.1 mins per game.
Trapper for 6 games: Corrupt inter, Deerstalker, Pain Res, Jolt with secondary coil and 4 coil spring kit. 13.7 mins per game.
Billy for 6 games: Deerstalker, Jolt, Pain Res, Pop with Apex Muffler and Iri Brick. 13.35 mins per game.
Wraith for 25 games: Deerstalker, Deadlock, Pain Res, Pop with All Seeing & Windstorm. 10.68 mins per game.
For each killer I had to adjust my normal playstyle to make sure I double piped. So with trapper it was smarter to wait for a few hooks before placing traps. With Billy I M1'd before I M2'd. But with wraith I found a real sweet spot.
Wow that's really detailed. Wasn't expecting that.
My build for Deathslinger is BBQ, No Way Out, Franklin's, and STBFL. I don't use specific add-ons or anything, but I usually double pip when I'm having a good accuracy day. I don't main a specific killer, so I lose touch with a lot of skills.
-
Never...To be fair I've never actually tried either. Congrats on the achievement though. It feels like as long as you don't end it too fast that Deathslinger is a good contender for speed running ranks.

I always hated the word nobody lol anyone could be a streamer and all it takes is a bit of dedication. Every player in this game matters because we all keep it alive. -Former streamer 😂
I've thought about it, but the idea of hearing my voice or seeing my face live or even in the past is just not something I want. Thank you for that though I do appreciate it.

Great post, and I agree. Much fun is being had right now here!!
There is a lot of fun in this game, but people focus too much on the winning aspect for everyone to feel that way.

I still play this game daily for hours and enjoy the majority of my time with it. It's straight up my go to MP game to destress and love the time I invest in it.
I play both roles and enjoy both roles immensely.
Exactly!!! Mine too. I get a bit stressed with killer, but that's more to do with I know I could do better. A lot of the time though especially lately. I do my archive challenge then I let everyone go.

I think the huge pillars from negativity are a question of perspective. I really like this game and i care about it, thats why i love discussing potential improvements.
I've talked a lot about what I think could change to my friends and family that play this, but at the end of the day I'm just one person with my own perspective on things.

I HATE people who LOVE to say this!
To be honest the mindset makes sense. It's just not what we're looking for with this.

@fulltonon said:
Love and hatred can co-exist, lol
They can I agree. The issue arises when there is more hate than love especially when seen by others. People view the community as a whole as toxic which is not true nor should they think that.

Thanks for some positivity thread, nice to see some on here.
As an old time pre-order player here, still playing to this day and still loving it as much as i did back when i first started playing.
Exactly!!! I mean obviously not everyone can do that, but live games rarely stand for how long this has. People can say it's a "monopoly ", but in all reality it's a good game otherwise people wouldn't play it.

@Ripley said:
I'm glad I got to experience it. There is a lot to love about the game.
There's a lot of love and a lot of hate. We just gotta make sure that the love is stronger.

@Cybil said:
It's a good game, but it will never be a great game until they fix many of its long standing issues.
It doesn't have to be a great game to be enjoyable. In my opinion there are some things that take priority over others. The fact that they're fixing stretched res in the next update shows they still know and care.

All the more reason to reply to this thread so we can drown out those repetitive ass threads lol
Even if it gets lost In the sea of threads. Being a tiny bit of positivity is good enough for me.

This is a nice post, it's a shame it's gonna get buried under 16 Dead Hard, Noed, and Bubba threads. I think sometimes we need to take a step back and realize that aside from the many issues plaguing the game, it's still fun despite the many hours we've sunk into it.
You know to be honest I ######### about the game too. I get frustrated and all that #########, but at the end of the day we're all still playing it. Whether that be because we actually like it or whatever the reason. We need positivity more than ever.

I think it's that cart near the gallows on Dead Dawg. You can get up there and the killer won't be able to pick you up.
I had this happen the other day as spirit. you can in actuality get up there. It took me a bit, but I got it. They thought they were being clever and I just kept trying. I think it has something to do with the vault next to it and then lunging up there.

Escaping against a trapper while having no sound. It was honestly terrifying and pretty stressful.

As for those two pinhead while kinda cool isn’t particularly interesting to me since I don’t care for hell raiser (not to mention nft’s) and mikaela’s lore and cosmetics are just plain uninteresting
Going back further all kill was a failure that the devs are trying to salvage and binding of kin is a failure the devs are trying to sweep under the rug.
I only just recently learned about the Hellraiser series, but it personally isnt my thing. However I really love the design, perks, and power of him as it seems to fit him perfectly (yeah the nft thing sucks).
I actually enjoy the aesthetic of Mikaela because it's nice to have a Witch as a survivor to me. I've honestly not fully paid attention to her lore. Also the Halloween cosmetic was decent.
All Kill was a failure at launch, but I believe its grown a lot since then with him getting buffed and nerfed in certain places (whether or not it seemed necessary). I like Trickster as a killer personally, and all the people that say he doesn't aesthetically match dbd I personally ignore cause I mean hes a psychopath. He doesn't have to be dark and brooding about it.
Binding of Kin I will completely agree that it seems like it's on the back end of their to do list. Its frustrating and I wish they would try and update the chapter more, but I still always have hope for newer chapters.
-
@Phasmamain said:
Considering the last couple of chapters no. But I am interested in the perks
What haven't you liked about the last two chapters? I'm assuming you mean Hour of the Witch and Hellraiser
-
I was actually really excited when he was announced, and personally other than a couple skins for killer hes my favorite base aesthetic. I think his power can be busted in some situations, but not nearly enough that people want him gone. Playing against a good Trickster can be a pain especially if they're pc (cause it's a whole lot easier to aim with a mouse), but I still feel like for the most part that they deserve the kills they get. People can talk about how toxic Trickster players are, but they'd do the same thing with any other killer.
-
Tbh I dont care enough to win to be sweaty like that. Sure if all gens are done and all survivors are still alive I'll camp and maybe tunnel, but during the actual game I'm as fair as can be. I personally hate all the sweatiness, so why would I want to be a hypocrite.
-
My perks for survivor depend on what archive I'm doing currently. And I have completely different builds on all killer with occasion meta perks sprinkled in.
-
There have been multiple times where mid chase I smash a pumpkin and hear a whoosh. I then immediately get the [BAD WORD] out of there and hope to god I actually escaped. Alternatively it's also hilarious smashing a pumpkin mid chase as killer and jump scaring a survivor cause you're moving so fast.
-
Currently I have a few streamers I watch like SpooknJukes and BrodyCaker. But I still have to shout out No0b3 even though he hasn't made content in awhile.

So the L in LGBT is for Lima-Bean Lovers, got it.
Screw it I guess. I'm not trying to make fun of peoples sexuality when I say that. I'm just saying that it's not really my business who or what you love.
-
I dont wear it with everyone mainly because I sometimes like my charms matching. But I am a supporter of anything LGBT+ because I dont care if you're sexually attracted to lima beans it's none of my concern or business. I will say I am happily surprised at how wholesome and nice this comment section is.

Yeah, I would too. Although I've never managed to pull this off I have seen some teammates of mine do it and it does get the killer angry since they usually go ahead and tunnel the person that did it. Especially if they complete a gen right in front of the killer.

The term paragraph is not entirely defined though.
Pinhead is chapter 21 (just as Ghostface was a full chapter) despite having no survivor or map.
Ash and Leatherface came between chapters as standalone characters and those are actually paragraphs.
i think. Again, not well defined.
Oh alright that makes sense. I hope your clarification is correct.

Dang okay. Thank you for the speedy answer

So is this a paragraph then?

PIRATES- I think that would be bloody brilliant.
Something to do with like sin or the 4 horseman or something like that.
