I think red forest would of been a great fit for the twins, it has that foggy, damp, european vibe.
Odd way to describe it but I think it fits.
I mean, it makes more sense that a couple of French runaways made it to eastern Europe than a Babylonian priestess who then randomly built a giant temple because Logic.

I think you missed the part where i exactly said that if the survivor who is dead on next hook HAS NO ds timer left. They become high priority. This is common sense. When i take that person out now i have to deal with only 75% of their original team.
You want good examples?
I was ignoring your example because it made no sense in the overall context of the discussion wherapon the person I was replying to was claiming that it's basically unfair because it means they cannot hardcore tunnel good teams.
-
I saw someone mention Dyer Island for both of them, which seemed reasonable. The Twins might not have much to do with it, but that doesn't mean the Entity wouldn't use that realm twice. After all, Plague is somehow in a European forest and Clown rocked up to a random chapel beside an asylum and set up camp.

There are three ways you can put more pressure on good survivors. Camping, tunneling or slugging. There are also different ways to tunnel, tunneling you are describing is what rank 15 killer does chasing a looper entire game while putting zero pressure on the map. Smart tunneling is when you switch targets when you see a survivor who is dead on the next hook and got no DS timer left. When you eliminate a survivor it's much easier time to slug and control remaining three survivors.
That doesn't work against good teams, I'm not talking about letting yourself get looped into oblivion. DS alone buys two whole gens worth of time.

I will never agree with this mentality. I don't know what kind of super immersed teams the people who think T1 makes Mikey so weak do face, but I never have trouble finding survivors and getting to tier 2 quickly. Then Mikey is on a roll with massive snowball potential.
To the original post of this thread they said on the previous Q&A stream that they may give him an add on pass in the future. But right now they are happy where he is because he is in the top half of performing killers in terms of kill rates, and they said they constantly get positive feedback about him as being a fun killer to play as and against.
Never gone against a good team as Myers? They don't stealth, they just use LoS blockers to lock you in tier 1 for ever, then tier 2, then in tier 3 (if you even bother getting there) you're just a very slightly better m1 killer than can easily be played safely against to negate your entire ppower and any snowball potential because m1 killers aren't very scary for a very good reason.
And before someone tries to tell me that these teams are rare, no they aren't. This is my average Myers trial as both survivor and killer.
-
Playing better than my opponent/s. The game is supposed to use pips, but that's the most broken system ever. Some people use kills, but that's not a good measurement: you didn't exactly lose agaisnt a full meta team on Haddonfield, and you didn't exact win against a bunch of yellow ranks on Dead Dawg. Some people use personal escapes, but it's a team-based game so that doesn't even make sense. And lastly, some people sue Bloodpoints. I have yet to see the algorithm for comparing survivor bloodpoints to killer bloodpoints in a fair and accurate fashion.
So, I just figure if I run the killer so well they facecamp and tunnel me then I won.

You can't 12 hook a 4 man, it's literally impossible. They split gens and have good chases out of your control. Rule: If you can 12 a 4 man, they weren't a very good 4 man.
Plus "making someone miserable", nah, It's called adapting to how badly this game is balanced around good teams. They wanna pump out gens in 5 minutes, I'm going to get someone dead as quickly as possible and pressure from there. End of the day these people want to win as badly as possible disregarding the killers fun, so I'm going to do the same.
Even then, if I'm in a 4 man or I'm against a squad I know, it's pretty fun to have a sweaty match once in a while.
Please point out, in great detail, where I somehow contradicted myself and said that 12 hooks was reasonable?
Tunneling is literally just you giving up on trying to win, it's not very effective against exactly the kind of team you're talking about. It's pretty much just BM. The other three have plenty of time to do gens and leave. If it's working for you against these sweaty 4-person squads, then I have some real bad news for you: They weren't a sweaty 4-person squad. You just bullied some random person trying to have fun.
-
I hope he gets more than an add-on pass. Still a contender for weakest killer in the game thanks to T1 alone.
In other words, let's just scrap T1 and make it exclusive to Scratched Mirror! Also, let's make Scratched Mirror a brown add-on!

This is a necro thread, but hey, what the hell: Blight with MYC, BBQ, IF, IAE.

Myers: people will try to avoid stalk in loops and i have a different early game with a M1-Killer
Plague: could be working, but i think survivor will loop differently bc they think i will infect them
So to put it bluntly, you want to have a completely unrealistic experience that will never play out the way you want because no matter what you will always uncover a flaw because, in DbD, no killer relies exclusively on the m1 chase to find, hit, follow up, and down every single survivor every time you find them in ever single trial.
The most m1 killers there are are Legion, Plague and Myers. They rely exclusively on the m1 chase to down people and are as realistically m1 as killers get.

I never use it, period. And I do just fine.
Same. Sometimes I get hardcore tunneled, sure, but most of the time those games have an Obsession, so...
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
No, Decisive prevents tunnelling (or heavily reduces it), basically giving 4 man SWFs a second life as you cant 12 hook a good 4 man.
Your real only choice is getting someone out of the game ASAP, which decisive screws over.
The ability to abuse it is just another added effect to its design.
Or instead of making someone miserable and using the inability to 12-hook to justify it, you could practice snowballing map pressure.
-
Probably Legion, Myers or Plague. Those three have to very heavily rely on the m1 chase in order to get downs.

It is unacceptable for multiple users to gang up on a single person, conversationally. As soon as the other user directed a response towards me, our conversation ceased to be your business-- and since you do not pay for the online space that this forum occupies, you do not have the right to demand anything of me or any other user. Please try to stay professional and courteous, as I have thus far.
This is all public. That's what a "forum" is. This ain't private, everyone's free to jump in, and you hardcore whattabouted and have been popping off buzzwords like a clickbait ad in some vain attempt to paint yourself as a victim even though we can all see your initial comment.
A bit of advice, reply to the post instead of bringing up a different topic and you won't have multiple people pointing out that you brought up a different topic and tried to create an argument about that one.

They fixed healing with a medkit

Holy shite, you must be getting some arsehole ques, most of mine only take about 5 minutes (for reference, I'm rank 3 playing between 10pm/2am on AU servers). I'd have to almost literally chug a bottle to finish it in that time, let alone 2
-
I agree, nerfing Undying isn't the play. It's nerfing Ruin.
Ruin's regression is just too much and totems require either luck or co-ordination. As it stands, I get Spirits and Billy's and Oni's (ironically not Blights) that see Tinkerer proc, harass you off the generator, the gen regresses an insane amount, and when you go back to it it's fallen below 70% and you just rinse and repeat because good luck doing totems in solo que even with a dedicated anti totem build.
But that's all Ruin. Ruin is the heavy hitter of that build, not Undying or Tinkerer. They just facilitate it. Is Undying met with any other Hex perk? No. So it's not the problem, is it?
-
Never forget Huntress. Her beach balls are the precise opposite of what the game needs. Every time I play her I, as the killer, get hits connecting several feet away from the survivors. That is what the Devs have been attempting to avoid

press X to doubt
you telling me the killer is always 8 seconds from you? sure bud.
I'm not entirely sure you understand the circumstances: most hooks aren't, oh I dunno, in the middle of 6 jungle gyms. The unhooked survivor has no real chance to get to safety.
-
Dont try and Kobe when someone is there about to get you down, that just wastes everyone's time because you get animation locked. And if you do Kobe in front of me, bye bye. I have no stake in your survival because you clearly didn't want me to heal you with We'll Make It.
-
A good Nurse will just kill you. With no LoS blockers, it's not even that hard, she just has to blink in such a way that makes any and all mindgames you might try to pull completly redundant. If you're going up against a good Nurse, just make sure you're healthy and sprint forward in a straight line, because that's your only defence.
-
It can be. It can be forced to go off by the survivor/s running it to buy an insane amount of time for free, potentially reversing the course of a trial because someone hit a "difficult" skillcheck.
However, when a survivor is not using it aggressively and the killer is hardcore tunneling, it doesn't really do it's one job that well. Especially if it's a mobility or insane chase killer, like Spirit, Blight, Hag, Billy, Deathslinger, Huntress, Oni (maybe), Plague (maybe), Nurse, Freddy, Pyramid Head, or even The Twins if you don't have someone there to kick Victor once he downs you.
-
Disturbed Ward and Haddonfield are my two most hated maps. Ironically this catagory also contains my favourite map, Father Campbell's Chapel.
-
Expectations? A few number changes, probably just an increase to the teleport cooldown and snare placement time/movement speed.
Hopes? Basically a hybrid of Old and New Freddy where you have to put survivors to sleep but also have the gen teleportation in a nerfed form.
-
Wait, how did you even manage that? I thought their emblems were all over the place?
Also, well done, they are not the easiest of killers to do well with.
Also also, I am one of those survivors you would catch in the basement with Hoarder. 100%. I literally just had a game against an Oni where I stealthed into the basement while injured and looted a medkit while he was right above me.
-
Ironically, she probably has the best teachables to go for an adept with out of all the killers.
-
Endurance is the strongest status in the entire game by far. Tank a hit and avoid going down for the low, low price of having to mend somewhere down the line. It's not hard to see why the Devs aren't exactly churning out Endurance perks.

the counter play is simply to be healthy it gives victor only two options
- let the save happen and down the unhooked
- latch onto the savior
he can't prevent the save and if he downs the unhooked the savior can simply crush him then heal the unhooked, there is your counter play.
Not how it works, the unhooked survivor will never get picked up in time to actually get away. Trust me, I run WGLF and We'll Make It together all the time, it's just not enough.
-
I don't k ow if you've played them as Blight, but suffice it to say I would rather play on old Rotten Fields with a jungle gym on every maze tile than track a survivor with Iron Will across Autohaven.
-
The moment you hear screeches, he detects you. Counterplay invalidated.
-
I'll condense it: The developers have never made a statement specifically claiming DS to be an anti-tunnel perk. However, they did very clearly label it and anti-tunnel/anti-farm perk, and when you step back and look at the basic principle it becomes clear what it is intended to prevent.
-
Yes. Very, very clearly. It only activates after you have been recently unhooked and the killer tries to hook you again. In the rework announcement I believe the Devs specifically called out that it was designed to stop you from getting tunneled (or farmed).
-
I build around the killer.
-
I Iove the amount of people that try and claim you can just crouch over and kick Victor. But here's the thing: the moment you hear Victor's snarls, he's seen you and now he's coming for you. Which means you need to spend a ridiculous amount of time crouching and that alone will basically lose you the trial just because some arsehole decided to "patrol." Yay, counterplay that's extremely beneficial to the killer bordering on perhaps even being better than using Victor to tunnel!
-
I would increase the numbers but give it diminishing returns, so that after 1 or 2 gens it's actually useful, but the difference between 4 and 5 are pretty much unnoticeable.
-
@Mooks said:
DS is designed to be an anti-momentum perk and it worked exactly like that in your match (based on your description, didn’t see the clip)
why should there be a perk that is ONLY meant for anti-tunneling?
Why should there be a free anti-momentum perk? How is that fair to give an entire team a second chance just because someone equipped a perk?
Like it or not, until the game is balanced around 12 hooks (which it will never be balanced around) there is always going to be problematic perks. But at least a 5-second stun could be reserved for punishing arseholes, it translates to 20 seconds of team-doing-whatever time just from the stun alone.
-
Twins are nuts when the survivors split up and do gens. I have such a hard time hammering home to my rank 1 teammates, who are used to that being the winning stratagy, that they should stick together.
-
What exactly is it that you are upset about the Devs having done to Freddy?
-

technically they wouldn't have if the maps come with a future dlc, so their statement would still be truthful
These are not the kind of developers to use technicalities in a positive manner.

Personally, I wouldn't use it with the undying/ruin combo myself to save the perk slot unless I was playing the trapper or hag, which I don't use and I prefer avoiding killer much myself to begin with to be honest. I feel corruption just nudges people towards looking for bones rather than taking them as they find them, which can hurt the ruin/undying wombo combo and take a perk slot thatc ould be used for something like sloppy butcher for better slows.
Why would I run Ruin/Undying when I could run Sloppy/Nurses?
-
Why would I use Corrupt Intervention when I could use Make Your Choice?
-
It is extremely fun when the killer abandons their current chase to walk halfway across the map and tunnel you to death with absolutely no punishment or reward and the Devs just shake their heads and point at DS like that's somehow a solution to arseholes that will just proceed to ######### you over anyway.
-
Sounds like it might be a whole realm...
Except for one small problem: the Devs outright stated that the last two chapters aren't getting their own maps.
-
And then they accuse the killer of tunneling for downing them both even though the literally didn't even wait for the killer to have a chance to leave the area.
-
The amount of times I've unhooked someone only for them to immediately spring a trap is far more depressing. Come on, survivors, it's not rocket surgery. Crouch.

Not too much at all, 1 anniversary cake is only 20-32k bp without WGLF/BBQ and 40-64k bp with them if you have a good match every time. In that span of 5 days that would only be a maximum of 300k if you got around max bp EVERY match... though I would just keep them being the hoarder I am :)
10k is really nothing, we are getting like 60k through the whole thing which is worth of 1-2 games with WGLF/BBQ. I would have loved to get shards instead, I only spend shards in the game store and being able to finish getting my Dwelf outfit before New Year would be amazing. Oh well.
Yeah, but the thing is that it's 300k × 5 per week, because everyone's getting one and they all affect everyone, so the law of averages dictates that you're nomming 5 a day (clearly some people will get more and some less, but stats!) which means now I want that to happen more than ever because it's just so much BP and I really really need it...

Yeah I get it but 10k a day is such a slow drip lol. Maybe it'll increase in later weeks
I wish they had a way to give out time based XP boosts. So for the advent calendar once a day or a couple times a week you get a x2 BP token that, once you activate it, lasts for an hour.
I wish they'd just give us a free anniversary cake every day.
Too much?
Maybe. But I want celebratory cake. Because what's better than party streamers except party streamers that you can eat?
