I think Clown is in a fine spot. Not every killer needs to be the next Nurse, it's fine to have weaker killers so long as they do their job well, which Clown now does thanks to the new bottles and the much faster reaload.
-
Same reason some people never play without 2-3 friends and full meta builds.
-
Stop mindgaming and learn his timings, and never m1 a healthy survivor.
Trickter is hard, and doesn't have the same level of reward as Huntress, Plague or Slinger, but that doesn't mean he's weak. He has a hard cap on chase times for ######### sake, any killer with a hard cap on chase time can't be anything less than mediocre.

Most of those Pallets are unsafe. If you get run around unsafe Pallets, this is on you, not the Map.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2232911#Comment_2232911
Fine in a sense that you can play Killer on The Game without that much issues. Like, the Map is not an auto-loss like some people want to claim it, you can win as Killer on The Game.
And I cannot really give ######### to the Rework if the main problem I had with this Map (that it only consists of Pallets, which makes the gameplay pretty boring) existed before as well.
It is absolutely an auto loss, the only way survivors don't escape is if they're so genuinely bad they can't do gens and drop pallets. All of them have to be broken, all of them are easily lopable, and they're too dense to create a proper deadzone or zone survivors out.
The Game was already a survivor-sided map and now it's arguably equal to Haddonfield but on easy mode.

How the hell are 4 gens getting done in 2 minutes? Are you even looking for survivors?
Survivors actually doing their objectives, I assume. My normal trial is me losing 3 gens in 90 seconds thanks to opponents playing safe, which isn't a loss by any means but it does put a hell of a lot of pressure on the killer.
-
Assuming good opponents? Survivors don't, because they rely more on teamwork and the uninteractivity of gen repair. There's a reason most of the survivor meta is second chance perks.
Killers, yes, absolutely, much more so, because you need to slowdown the game more than ever in the current meta and you're not doing that as any killer without either direct slowdown or Infectious Fright.
-
Ormond was the best rework so far. It's size and gen spread still makes it very survivor sided, but the pallet spawns are better and the strongest tiles are in the corners and are borderline unchainable.
-

I dont think that any Map Reworks have been bad, not even The Game. The Map is fine to play, even as Killer. It is boring for both sides, but this was a factor before.
And while I am not a big fan of breakable Walls, they did not ruin the new Maps. Like, if they want to remove them entirely, I would be for it, but if not, they are not bothering me that much.
And I would agree, Ormond was really well done. It is an alright Map, before, it was the worst Map for Killer (I think it was even worse than Haddonfield), but now you can actually play Killer on this Map.
I'm sorry, but how is it fine that they took the absolute worst aspect of the Game map and massively amplified it? That's like if they rework Haddonfield by adding more chainable god windows, or Hawkins by removing the good pallets and catwalks.
-
That's how the killers are created. Either they move at 4.6 m/s and have a 32m TR, or they move at 4.4 m/s and have a 24m TR.
The only exceptions to this rule are Nurse and Myers, because Nurse had unique movement and Myers has a semi-unique TR. Both of them are relics from the old game.
-
Nemesis, apparently, then Demo, the Plague.
Seems right, actually, except Plague gets put at the top because I love a good powerspike and a tall, strong, confident woman with a fantastic new cosmetic.

Saw some people saying he's trash even with his buffs so i dont think im behind. I wouldn't say he's pig but better more like a better ghostface
He's a stealth killer with an alternate stance instead of a cooldown a massive lunge that's used identically to Pigs. The biggest difference between the two is that he speeds himself up and she slows the game down.
-
Hackers do this quite often (not that hacker's are common, simply those that do hack do this often), and it's the most broken thing ever. Urban Evasion and Fixated both make survivors uncatchable.
Edit: also, 3 Botany Knowledges would make a green medkit last forever and the heal time would be 4 seconds.
-
I think you may be a few patches behind in the general consensus. Now that he has both mobility and a chase power (doesn't have to play everything like a 115 killer), he's pretty decent.
Of course, all the whiney survivor mains are complaining because suddenly they can't play every single pallet the exact same way they used to agasint him, but that's because they haven't quite figured out that he's basically a reverse Blight with a little overlap: He can't play maze tiles, but junk tiles and filler pallets are automatic hits if the survivors give him control of the pallet instead of dropping it early.
In essence, he's Pig but better.
-
I use Ruin by itself on mobile killers. You won't get much use otherwise, except perhaps on Pig.
-
Most Deathslingers are rather terrible shots that rely purely on survivors mindgaming themselves, so if you just gently feather left and right at random, rapid intervals you both barely slow yourself down and jerk about quite a bit on the killers screen thanks to latency. Mix that in with literally always calling the killers bluff (if it's a good Slinger, they'll hit you whether or not you take the pallet or window, and a bad one will mostly only hit you if you fake it) and you've got a killer that's actually more counterable than nurse by virtue of mostly being terrible shots because of all the free hits survivors give them.
-
Wraith is a good killer, it's just that people want a 115 killer that they can loop all day long and so they complain about him being OP because suddenly he has a chase power.
Even though that lunge is countered by predropping unsafe pallets because then he has to play them like a 115 killer, and playing every other tile relatively normally but while taking into consideration when he cloaks and how far he can lunge.

I would delete their entire concept and make them a completely different killer, probably one where Victor is driven by AI.

I guess problem problem with DH is that best of the best survivors nearly always run DH. Deadhard used correctly is third hit for a survivor. Downing good survivors is already very difficult and once you add second chance perks with non existent requirements it can become issue. Still dead hard is one of those perks that are hard to balance without making it useless.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that they should remove it's invulnerability so that it's just an on-command dash. Suddenly it can't counter powers or mindgames, and is about as annoying as Sprint Burst.

he's not "easy" like the bio tells you lmao, he should be set to hard, since he's realy weak and does require skills to play him
Yeah. If you have near-perfect aim, never m1 to injure despite what your instincts say, know his timings exactly, and forget everything you know about playing killer, he's pretty decent.
Not sure that "easy" is the right word to describe that level of effort required for such a middling result.
-
They exist purely to facecamp and have one of the weakest powers in the game. Their only advantage is that survivors don't seem to ever remember that lockers exist or that maybe they should travel in pairs.

Sounds an awful lot like Bloodlust.
Not even close. Bloodlust is completely useless in most maps, only coming into play on extremely broken ones such as Haddonfield where most window setups become infinites otherwise (as shown by the no-bloodlust experiment). A killer bloodlusting a pallet is wasting 30 seconds of their own time for a single hit, assuming it takes that little and they don't ######### it up.
Trying to compare Bloodlust to Dead Hard is comparing MoM to BT.
-
You can claim people talk about this stuff too much, but like it or not the complaints are as valid as they ever have been and it is entirely on the Devs for not acting sooner, if only to shake up the meta and gameplay so the complaints are different and seem less stale.
-
Dead Hard is the epitome of second chance perks. It's extremely versatile, it's incredibly strong, it's mindlessly easy to use, and it only comes into play to snatch an incredibly important down from the killer. It's essentially has the same counterplay as Spirit, but in perk form: Hope the survivor somehow screws up in a big way.
Edit: sorry, I meant "Hope the survivor screws up in a big way three times"

All the time people say that Hex-Totems get cleansed in 30 seconds, yet Ruin is still one of the most used Perks (even without Undying). And before its change, it was in basically every Match, despite Spawns being worse.
Hex-Spawns are probably not as bad as people want to make them. There are also a lot of really good Spawns. But nobody talks about those.
When it comes to Survivors spawning next to Hex-Totems - Maps only have a limited space. And the smaller the Map is (and some got their size reduced around a year ago), the more likely things are cramped together. So it is unavoidable that Survivors spawn next to Totems and the chance that this Totem will be the Hex is 20%, which is also not small.
There are considerably more terrible totem spawns than good ones. Couple that in with the fact that survivors usually spawn quite spread out and it's far more likely that soemone will cleanse a totem before it gets value than it will stay up, hence the fact that people use Undying so much.

You know you can wait the 8 seconds and hit them again right? Not like anyone runs ds anymore
They do, actually. Quite a lot. For these very situations.
-
BT is only a problem when it's being blatantly abused.
-
Haddonfield certainly hates me, but conversely Hawkins absolutely adores me. I can run a killer far longer there than on Haddonfield just because Haddonfield always gives me the opposite to what I'm expecting.
-
There is no cross progression with accounts. You will lose everything, all of your progress and purchases, and have to start over, because you will be using a different account on a different store to play the game.
-
Actually, from what you're describing with your gameplay you sound like toxic person with no regard for your opponents, especially trying to lock people into stun loops and abuse perks, so I wouldn't be surprised if you get flagged similar to a serial insidious facecamper that likes to kebab people. What that means for you I don't know, and to be honest I don't care. So just to be sure, maybe put yourself in your opponents shoes in case the Devs actually decide to do something about people with mountainous reports.
-
Some people are genuinely toxic and interested in nothing more than ruining others experiences. And as for the rank 1, well, to maintain that golden target of your opinion somehow being valid, all you have to do is facemp with NOED and you'll probably never depip.
-
Absolutely none. They all have poor aim, can't time their knives, and constantly try to play him like Huntress (full of pointless mindgames that waste his own time).
-
Hopefully they'll replace the DC penalties with bots and that will be that, at least so far as general changes are concerned. Though perhaps they could rework the twins and add AI to other, new killers
-
Plague, but with really good addons.
-
There's such a large pool to draw from there that I absolutely would like to see more. However, I would prefer they focus on other licensed characters and use another potential RE chapter as a backup plan.
-
I'm a chocolate girl.
-
Self care is a good perk... When paired with other perks or used as a last resort.

As a survivor main it does kind of concern me that some of the charms (not just this one) can make the hooks stand out more. Then again if a killer has grabbed me the odds of me getting free are already low to begin with.
I'm gonna be honest, I deliberately adorn my hooks with bright charms just so I can find them. The sheer number of maps that the dark hooks blend into dark backgrounds...

And it is incredibly noticeable so it has the double effect of supporting LGBT+ people's and also showing you where the damn hooks are.

Do you think 60 seconds would be too good?
I've struggled to get much use out of LB, but that's probably because it's not really for my playstyle - I get chased as much as possible most games.
I use LB and OoO, something people consider genuinely stupid, and killers are all the time either giving up on me or committing to chases they can't afford because of the distance they give me through all those little moments of hesitation and confusion.
Yeah, I'd say 60 seconds is a bit much. If they truly want to buff it (and this is something that genuinely scares me but would make it far less aggressive) they could shorten the timer to 10-20 seconds but let it recharge by doing a totem or something.
-
Everyone would ######### and moan because suddenly they know what its like to get outperked all the time and maybe then we can get both of them removed.

I've used it, quite a bit actually. I think it is serviceable but hardly the strongest Perk in the game. I used it for about a week extensively and it cycled right back out of my list because it wasn't a consistent enough return for me. Hyperbole doesn't serve anyone. I don't think it is worthless, but I sure as heck don't think it is one of the strongest Perks in the game. :)
I'm not exaggerating. Everyone who thinks otherwise genuinely isn't thinking straight.
At its worst, at it's absolute worst, it lets people that can't chase sit on gens. Absolute worst case scenario is free gen time and lots of it. Good survivors can use it to drag out a chase for at least 45 seconds without using any resources except this perk. It is far less situational than any other meta perk, getting plenty value in most trials, and the extremely stupid part is that this one-use perk can be used multiple times.
-
As a Lucky Break user, I can tell you that it's one of the strongest perks in the game. People haven't been using it because they're breathtakingly ignorant.

If the media doesn't shift, people never get normalised or treated as equals and everyone in DbD would be a cis straight white male. Which is very clearly (and thankfully) not the case and never has been.
And to be perfectly honest, who someone is isn't politics.
Edit: To clarify, I'm referencing the gradual shift in media representation that has occured over the last century.
-
For communications abuses like you described, you just send an in-game report and that's that. The chat logs get automatically recorded and the devs can see them, so no further evidence is required.
If you didn't report them, unfortunately it means nothing can be done because an in-game report always has to be sent in order to flag the incident so the Devs can find it. It's unfortunate if you missed that, but we can take solace in the fact that they're going to do It again and they'll get caught.

I dont know. Hell half the time i dont know why i do what i do. People get paid really good money to figure stuff like that out.
All i know is saying you tunneled because they don't like the charm is the same as someone saying they dont like adams jacket. Could they be bigoted? Yeah. Probably are. But they really could just hate the jacket.
Now if they start saying garbage like i hate pride charm wearing f****** and <insert stupid homophobic insults here> then yes ban away.
If Adams jacked was splashed with a great big "BLM", then you'd have a point, but you don't.
The pride charm represents more than just a charm. Far more than just a charm. Wearing it is deliberately expressing support for the LGBT+ community and has no other reason besides liking rainbows, and to be honest I don't think anyones complaining if someone who doesn't like rainbows and so completely ruins hundreds of people's experiences because whilst knowing full well what that charm means because they haven't been living under a rock for several decades and that admitting to it will lump them in with homophobes is then getting banned by admitting to their actions but then trying to justify them in a way that actual homophobes oftem do when they realise there's consequences.

That's not true at all and you shouldn't assume as such. I'm Bi and if I tunnel someone for specifically wearing the charm I'm not suddenly a homophobe. I'm just an ######### which is a separate issue.
Personally, I think intent is more important then action in the scenario of specifically tunneling the charm.
What reasons would someone have for targeting people wearing the pride charm and admitting it?
-
@csandman1977 said:

They are completely the same. Pride flag represents lgbtq+, adam equal Jamaican pride, feng and yui asian pride. Every character and cosmetic in the game represents something.
And yes, you like something so to hell with everyone else. I agree. However, your opinion is yours. You are free to like something just the same as someone else is allowed to dislike something.
And if someone wants to tunnel for a charm they have the right to. They absolutely DO NOT have the right to throw around slurs and harm others physically or emotionally.
People don't play characters specifically to show their support for said characters ethnicity. That's the last thing on most players minds. The only reason to war the pride charm is to show support. The only real reason to target people for wearing that charm is to punish them for supporting the LGBT community. Pieces of absolute scum also target people for playing specific characters, however it's difficult to tell if they're racists or not because there are plenty of reasons to play specific characters and they can always hide behind the excuse of "I wasn't being racist, I hate that jacket".
