Ruin/Undying/I'm All Ears/Whispers is a good build. Personally, I prefer Sloppy/Nurses/Deathbound/Infectious Fright, but it's not particularly strong, it just suits my aggressive playstyle.
-
Hey, congrats dude/ette. That's a lot of dedication to DbD, and I as a random community member appreciate that there's people out there that have more time in the game than me. Like, a LOT more. I almost feel... Normal.
It's wierd. I don't like it. Must. Grind. Shards.

Demogorgon has a special attack as well as PH, with the difference that he's hard to dodge if managed properly + amazing map pressure. I don't get why people think PH is strong, he's not even close to be better of Demo. I think you guys are the same who looked for the Hillbilly nerf xD
Demo's attack has a huge priming time and cannot pass through walls or pallets. Strong in the right hands? Sure. Literally gets hits at every pallet and window regardless of survivor skill? Not so much.
-
Probably early metalcore and hardcore punk from the DIY scene, a little thrash metal form the 80's and 90's (Metallica, Megadeath, etc.) and probably some early Nu Metal demo songs.
-
I think her power is very reliant on RNG, addons and bad survivors.
Her RBT's are too often inneffective, her stealth is borderline useless on more than half the maps, using her power in a loop is almost worthless without Combat Straps, and even then any good survivor will know you're crouching and just immediately run from most loops in the game and avoid getting hit, thus not only buying their entire team time but not even seeing that sweet, textbook moondash.

That's interesting. It isn't often I meet others with personality disorders only for me it's different. I have borderline personality disorder. Definitely stigmatized with movies like Fatal Attraction or the yandere archetype in anime 🤣That crap is only half true. 🔪
Not being wired like others definitely tends to suck.
Yeah. But it's got it's perks, or at least for me it does. Helps that I remember being relatively normal, if that term even exists. Maybe it's why I like to be kind even if I don't get the twisted gut feeling when I'm not.
-
Because Dead Hard For Distance, otherwise called Push E to Outplay, is one of the strongest things in the game.
-
The PTB runs on Steam, using a beta test program. It's not even available for all PC users, just Steam users. If they were impliment a full beta, it would be akin to running two games at once.

It actually happened to me. Oni hit me while in his rage and it only hurt me. I don’t know why, but it didn’t matter since he downed me while I stood there figuring out what happened. Anyway, I think this is a glitch rather than a hack. I wouldn’t be hating on the blonde Meg in this instance.
Did the Oni do the full-on demon strike where he bonks the ground a couple of times, or was it the basic attack version where he stares at the weapon and shakes the blood off?
-
No. I get too bored with it and I don't want to fall into bad habits. Also, killers tunnel more in games with an obsession than in games without, at least in my region, so there's reason number 3. Not sure why, but I'm also not going to argue.
-
Naming and shaming quickly becomes mob-mentality abuse where people just band together to bully their bullies without actually thinking about whether or not their bullies actually bullied anyone and/or are unredeemable people.
-
As a PC player who can actually see whether or not someone is on PC, I can confirm that console killers run NOED far more than PC killers. However, I don't actually think this is the case, that's just what my trials tend to show.
-
If you're playing solo, then yeah. That's the normal experience, but it's not the normal experience when you play killer. Then it's trial after trial of 2×2, 3, or 4-person parties, with nearly every single survivor running the same perks and playing very aggressively with decent coordination, even from the random solo or two that are chilling with Kindred or Bond spliced between their other meta perks.
It really is a different world, playing at red ranks as both sides. But that's what happens when you balance a game around survivors not having info and/or having a potato, then giving players the option to have insane info and/or not have a potato.
-
I've never noticed anyone's charms ever in the history of charms. It's just not something I pay attention to or find impressive. So far as I care, they're there so you know they're there and can enjoy them, not so people can pay attention to them that aren't you.
Also, they make my hooks all shiny so I can find them.
-
Walls as a mechanic should benefit the killer, given that they are the ones forced to break it and waste time, so the few that actually do benefit killers shouldn't have some random Claudette skull her muscle milk and headbutt through like some freaking cool-aid woman. Although that picture in my head is hilarious, so maybe screw it and let's have at it.
-
If casual modes in actually competitive games are any indicator, it'll actually be a bit of a coin toss as to whether or not the sweaty players will go into the casual free-for-all where they can steamroll a bunch of people trying to have fun and thus pollute it so much that ranked is less sweaty, or... No, that's mostly just what happens.
-
Because it sounds edgy and cool. Given that it makes no sense when you reed more than 5 minutes into the lore, it was probably a working title that sounded too cool to change.

Whoa....got a little heated quick.
Franklin's can be a good perk for killers. I am a medkit player so I hate losing it. But I do have my DH so that helps.
I will try to retrieve it if I know the killer is occupied but I am not throwing the game to get it back.
And also, ######### you survivors that take my medkit and won't give it back at the end of the game.
Idc that you depleted, just return it when/if you get the chance.
As someone that's been playing around with Botany/Built To Last, I feel your pain
-
Predators suffer from the same thing as xenomorphs (and Demogorgon): you'd have to completely neuter the character and force it to act completely out of fashion.
-
Deathslinger. The Slinger of Death. The Harpoony Boy. I still use his default skin just because it's his prettiest IMO. I've got cool skins for Plague (trying to get back into playing as her), cool skins for Legion, cool skins for Blight, cool skins for Spirit, a cool skin for The Minotaur, cool skins for Huntress, cool skins for Pig, cool skins for Hag... Just lots of cool skins.

This is the point I want to make in the video, as someone who's always had an interest in true crime I have seen many people turn it into a fetish, romanticise these people, it's the saviour complex. It's only a small amount of people that I've seen ask on this forum or mention it, but I've seen it a few times on Reddit and Tumblr. I don't want anything like this in the game, I'm just gathering information so I don't come across as someone who's assuming.
I wasn't trying to blame you or anything like that, so I'm sorry if it came off that way. I just cannot... I don't know, accept that there are people that have such an extreme disconnect from reality.
-
That's a thing people have been asking for? So people really get so removed from reality that they cannot tell why what would be horrible? People can cite that it's a game about serial killers all they want, there's a difference between a fictional character that never harmed anyone and a ######### sick piece of ######### that cause so much hate and pain for the dual purpose of pleasure and fame.
-
Because it's too difficult an issue to fix. Used to be that you could just DC if you didn't want the points, but we all know why that changed. Now your only choice is to get bullied.
Personally I think that deliberately wasting that much time, spiting even yourself because you don't get rewarded for it, should be considered holding the game hostage and treated accordingly.
-
@Skycerer said:
Why isn't offensive DS against the rules?
Please don't whattabout. Those two have nothing in common and you're only hurting both arguments by belittling them.
-
I just hope we get an alternative-stance killer, like Pig, Wraith and Old Doctor. I like killers that utilise different modes and can switch between them with no restriction, but now we've only got 2 of them (3 if you count Demo, but only by a technicality).

@OldHunterLight said:
Not at all, toxicity doesn't come from a build it comes from the player, the only perk that CAN be considered toxic is OoO, other than that it's fair game
As a solo OoO'er, I don't disagree.
-
No build is toxic. The player is. Sure, it's miserable seeing DS/UB/DH or Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer day in and day out, but that's a game problem, not a player problem. Toxicity comes from how you play - if you're deliberately making your opponent miserable with your actions, then it's toxic. If you aren't, then it's not.
And now that that is out of the way, I can comment on your build: Nice one. Lots of info, a little healing, good synergy with... Well, with pretty much every perk there. Kindred/Bond and Detectives Hunch give you the info you need, Detectives Hunch helps activate Inner Strength, Inner Strength helps you with hook saves which combos with Kindred and Borrowed Time... It's a build for someone that's not afraid of relying on themselves, or at least learning to. I personally think all of those perks are very strong, especially put together like that.
-
And neither are true.

@ZaKzan said:
Because that would take effort and extensive testing and would not make any money.
Unfortunately, this does seem to be the case. Bandaids over surgery seems to be the company motto.
-
Personally I prefer yellow medkits to green ones. I like the extra charges.
-
Um, well, you just somewhat accurately described what the Devs said that rank actually is, back when they announced the MMR system. So, really really good guess? Like, so on the spot that I think the real quote involved the term "personal victory."

Like @SoylentPixie above, the Brit was got, I guess. Honestly it hasn't been everywhere; BBC news had one live counter somewhere to the right of it's website, and a couple articles about it all, but there wasn't that much (at least where I was looking). Hence why I didn't get this post, because other countries report on other things, clearly.
(read this in a jokey way not an aggressive way please)
Wait, really? The BBC is my main news source (because unlike my national ones it's not... Well, I just described my national ones) and the top 3 stories were always about the elections for me for... Months. Regionally targeted headlines in an international news agency? Either way, it's neither here nor there I guess.
And yeah, I get it. No offence intended or taken, if that's what you're worried about. Just wanted to clarify what a lot of people deal with even literally on the other side of the world
-
If you find it fun to hurt people, and I mean in real life which is what you are doing by playing toxic, then you should stick to single player titles.
-
Solo.

Okay I have to focus on my own government failing to feed starving children focusing on the intricacies of another country's system ain't it chief.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1736665#Comment_1736665
OMG it's almost like there are other countries in the world!! :0
My own country, across the world, had its elections mere months ago in tandem with a culture-altering referendum and the US elections were dominating the national headlines even back then. It's easy to see why you are reacting the way you are, but please understand that it is genuinely shocking that the US elections haven't been dominating your news outlets. After all, the election of one of one of the most powerful figureheads in the world shapes political landscapes that said figurehead doesn't even care exists.

which legion though :p
All 4 at once.
Aka the horrific, glowing self-debuff that is the Halloween skin. Or Suzie's Year Of The Rat outfit with the year 4 crown. If I'm playing one of the weakest killers in the game, I'm going to loudly announce it with glowing orange.
-
Slinger/Blight/Legion. Hoping I enjoy the upcoming killer as much as those three, because I don't really play much of the rest any more.
-
Yeah, it would actually be a decent perk then. I've thought it should be "powered" instead of "opened" for ages now, because when it works it really works, it just never works because 99ing is the meta.
Also not gonna lie, totally went into this thinking of "Left Behind." Great naming convention. Zero confusion potential.
-
Uh, night is when the sweatiest players play. Full-party SWF teams that only have 4 open schedules late in the evening, and killers that are tired of dealing with it.

Some kind of anti tunneling mechanic would be pretty neat imo.
It's pretty dumb that the only option to do anything against tunneling is using a perk from a paid DLC.Kinda unfair for newer players that would probably need it the most.
To be fair, I learned to avoid tunneling because I had zero protection. Which sounds dumb, because "avoiding tunneling" is kind of like saying "dodge a Mori" but it's more that I don't farm my teammates and don't get in the killers face after I've been unhooked, expecting them to obey this invisible rule that will get me free wins and undo their map pressure.
It's sucks that the biggest anti-tunnel perk is a paid DLC and mysteriously never seems to appear in the shrine, but at the same time not having the perk taught me what getting tunneled actually is.
-
Blight's random boss music that makes me feel like I should have at least had some medkits and an ammo drop before I entered the arena.
-
Literally every single day. Not big content creators, just small streamers. But still, they are streaming and creating content, even if their audience is small.
Although I'm on AU servers, so it's not exactly like there's many big name streamers to trip over down here.
-
They could remove the cooldown altogether and it wouldn't increase the amount it is run. It's effect may be strong, but it's very existence forced killers to kick pallets more and thus remove it's direct use for indirect, forced bad gameplay.
-
That's exactly what the perk should have been
-
Maybe Hag or Ghostface. Those killers are the only two that can outsmart the survivors before the survivors realise it has happened. Trapper's a close third because he makes me paranoid about long grass.

may i also give you hug?
Two heartbeats in one day? Well, I won't say no to that!
-
That sounds great. The biggest power spike of DS is when it goes off in the middle of a snowball. But it might have other issues, like being too easy for the killer to just eat, go after someone else now, and tunnel you down later when you're on death hook.

Everybody likes hugs. They make my cold, dead heart do that wierd pulsating thing. I think it's called "beating."
