Maybe if the egc didn't extend 2 minutes. Which makes the survivor pretty safe.

    It doesn't extend 2 minutes.

It slows down to 50% speed, and it goes back to 100% as soon as everyone is up.

If it didn't slow down, survivor would have no reason to try and go back for the last unhook, risking to be killed in the process.

EGC makes sure the match ends. That's its job. It doesn't favor killers, it doesn't favor survivors.

I hate to be like this: Just don't get slugged then. Slugging isn't a tactic that Killers can get away with. Slugging only happens if a team lets it happen. You can ask any high-level killer main this and they'd say the same thing.

(To clarify, by slugging I meant a whole team slugging. Not One person being slugged, the killer continues to someone else, and the game continues)

Slugging because of tactical reasons is a thing, slugging someone and letting them bleed out just to be a dick is another.

    I'm talking about the latter.

  • @AnchorTea said:

If they have crows circling them from being idle then they're probably afk. A suicide mechanic wouldnt make a difference in that situation.

Today, yes, only because you have nothing to do while you're being slugged so you roam around the map aimlessly, preventing the crows to spawn.

If a system like that existed, you'd stay still so you have a chance to go to the next match faster.

Next time you face a heavy slugger, don't move and see how much time this system would save you.

  • Of course.

And that's why they released it like that in my opinion.

It's common practice when someone want to be seen in a better light without doing the actual effort to be better.

    I wouldn't call special prestige icons #########. That's what I wanted, that's what I grind for.

Not this garbage that I can get better with mods...

    Different point of views.

There's been more than enough complaints when they announced the "special reward", even before releasing the PTB.

Personally, I couldn't give two ######### about an icon in the end game screen. Noone ever looks there and god forbid you have a bad match while having a shiny icon at the same time. The ######### you'd get from the 1 twat noticing it would be endless.

  • @Bran said:

    Potato potato.

Same can be said a out the survivors getting the escape because of the same reason.

Nope, there's a difference, a survivor has to get to the exit gate in time to be safe, the EGC has no role in that

  • Situation:

Survivor (maybe even multiple survivors) are on the ground.

They have 3 crows circling around their head (AKA they haven't moved or tried to recover for at least 90 seconds).

The killer is receiving noise notification from the crows circling above the survivor's head, tipping off their location.

    Questions:

Why should survivors be forced to stay on the ground at that point?

What's the killer's excuse for not hooking them?

What does the killer lose if a survivor decides to bleed out faster in that situation?

What is the survivor's team losing from the survivor bleeding out faster in that situation? (Remember, noone tried to pick them up for AT LEAST 90 seconds after they stopped recovering)

  • @Bran said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3043798#Comment_3043798

All I'm saying is, don't extend the timer another 2 minutes 🤷‍♂️

Downing or hooking someone would guarantee the kill at that point solely because of EGC, and that's not why EGC exists.

  • My theory, so take it with a grain of salt (and maybe a little tinfoil hat)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They initially had in mind to give people a different Prestige icon in the end game screen.

BHVR vaguely describes the reward people would get.

After a few complaints, they realized this idea was a bit ######### (we'll call this "######### reward").

They came up with a similar but WORSE idea (ugly glittery portrait that noone else can see) so that the community would complain and ask for the initial "######### reward".

Now after PTB is finished they can give the original ######### reward because "They listened to the community" and the community will be happy about being given ######### rewards.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Tinfoil hat off

  • But in the 96% of cases in which it succeeds the killer is automatically stunned, no matter where they are

Since when you DON'T unhook yourself you lose a bunch of blood this is balance

People always trying to put killers down, but they don't admit the egc give them more escapes since it slows down for survivors, giving them an advantage 🙄.

    What 😂

  • Was it really?

Maybe for console players, PC players have always been able to change the character portraits very easily

  • Yeah, the new icon seems rushed as well, I just wished they found a way of using roman numerals

  • Yeah, you probably had some leftover bloodpoints from past codes or rewards

They are removing the cooldowm from Jolt, and probably the description broke before the update, as often happens

  • @ChurchofPig said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3041967#Comment_3041967

    ok let's see the math

In 1 single prestige you can get 61 perks I believe it is

1-39: 1 perk per level for 39 perks

40-50: 2 perks per level for 22 perks there (assuming you did the Level 50 bloodweb which you'll have to do once the change releases)

that brings us to a grand total of 61 perks per Prestige and as we know, you don't get anything for the extra prestiges if you have that standard amount of perks plus a little more, so now let's do the match

Prestige 0/Not Prestiged yet: 61 perks

    Prestige 1: 122 perks

    Prestige 2: 183 perks

    Prestige 3: 244 perks

    Prestige 4: 305 perks

    Prestige 5: 366 perks

so, in order to get to 321 perks, it will take a little into Prestige 5 to get that. So, you should be rewarded 5 prestige levels. 6 prestige levels is overcompensation. That would be compensating people who only have 320-321 perk tiers for the equivalence of 367-427 perk tiers.

BHVR is not using those numbers when converting prestiges 🤷🏻‍♂️

But even using your math, if one side had 230 perks available and the other 245, one would be able to get prestige 4 and one prestige 5, but there's nothing wrong with that

  • @ChurchofPig said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3041882#Comment_3041882

Literally you can have every perk in the game as survivor, all Tier 3 except one perk which is Tier 1 and you'll only be rewarded 5 extra prestiges. There's no reason for the 6th rewarded prestige if it's only 2 perk tiers. Maybe favored was the wrong word, but it feels useless for that 6th prestige to even BE there.

You would need 6 prestiges in order to get 321 perks on a character. ANY character, be that killer or survivor.

I don't see how this is unfair?

It actually would have been unfair to create different scales between killers and survivor, because it's like saying that one or the other needs to spend less to prestige

  • Survivor have 321 perks if I'm not wrong

  • @brokedownpalace said:

If they just replaced those ugly charms that change colors throughout the rift with blood points I don't think a single person would complain.

    Please, please 100% this.

Keep one of them in the Rift and give me some currency instead.

Please. Half of them you can't even tell the difference while you have them equipped, especially for the survivor ones

  • Whenever you Prestige someone, their 3 teachable perks will be automatically unlocked in the loadout of all your other character, Prestige 1 unlocks Tier 1 of said perks, Prestige 2 unlocks Tier 2 and Prestige 3 unlocks Tier 3.

This means that if you have Trapper at Prestige 3, all you killer will already have unlocked Brutal Strenght, Agitation and Unnerving Presence at tier 3, without having to spend 1 single bloodpoint on their bloodweb. If you have everything unlocked already on every character, this does nothing for you at launch, no.

What changes is, as soon as BHVR releases a new character, when you buy it they will automatically have all the perks of the character you Prestiged already unlocked, basically you'd be able to play the new killer using PGTW, STBFL, Nurse's Calling and Brutal Strenght on day 1, for example.

The reward for having P3ed a character before the update goes live is a glittery overlay in the character selection menu. Basically a joke.

You still have not offered up a way to determine the killer is willfully not picking someone up.

Survivor has 3 crows circling above their head.

    There.

Crows don't spawn while you are recovering from the dying state or if you're moving, and 3 crows means the killer is receiving notification about your position.

If the killer hasn't hooked you at that point, they most likely never will.

Holding a button down to speed up the process hurts noone in that case.

Well, what is the info it gives? None, other than that the person with the add-on wanted everyone else to see or do something at the marker location.

Thet's the whole utility of it, isn't it? Like, if I see a hex totem while I'm being chased I can drop a beam of light on it so someone hopefully will go check there and destroy it, or maybe I need to leave a 80% completed gen

Most people I've seen using it use it just for memes though, they either spam it while they run, or move it around randomly

  • Shouldn't be too hard to calculate if they know (in average) how many items the bloodweb generates between level 1 and 50.

The only "positive" thing is that apart from reaching prestige 9 there's no other reward that you would get except seeing a high number in the endgame screen

There's never been a real tangible benefit outside of the cosmetics to Prestige. Stop complaining because you went out of your way to do a dumb thing that you didn't have to do.

Why would they offer a really shiny reward for having P3 characters before the grind reduction because then that makes people feel obligated to do that grind they are going to reduce just to get the thing.

The little icon is just a little nod to the fact that you got it before the patch and that's all it needed to be.

An exclusive icon can still be seen as a really shiny thing by those who didn't prestige, that's one of the issues I have with the reward and why bloodpoints or shards would have been better

Sure, rush to P3 someone so you get back the bloodpoints that you still had to spend to prestige them

  • @fogdonkey said:

You prestiged for bloody cosmetics, that was your reward. You did it, because it was worth it for you. Another reward you do not realize is that since you already have the bloody cosmetics, you don't need to go to prestige 6 to get them.

If you are now complaining then why did you even prestige?

I prestiged because it was the only way to get those bloody cosmetics

I would have gladly, GLADLY avoided doing that if I had known they would have given them even without having to lose all my limited addons, items and wasting bloodpoints

I would have already had some exclusive icons to show my dedication to the game, do you want to know how they look like? Like this (yeah, luckily I hadn't prestiged Legion)

    image.png

I'm not alone complaining, and I feel like we all gave the reasons why we do that.

Bloodpoints to repay the ones wasted would have been better

  • @fulltonon said:

I wish it wasn't something exclusive because no matter what kind of thing it is I feel bad for missing something.

Yeah, I mentioned it the other day

The icon as a reward is awful for both who prestiged and who didn't

The ones who prestiged don't feel "rewarded" enough because it's a meaningless thing.

The ones who didn't prestige will miss out on an exclusive thing like legacy was.

It's a meaningless, exclusive reward, which sucks for everyone.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3032342#Comment_3032342

Still, higher Prestige Level will generally indicate more time played which generally indicates you are better at that Killer.

Generally, yes, but it doesn't guarantee that you're good with it

Just like ranks, people will see a high prestige level and assume they played against a much better player because it's easy to compare the numbers you see, and it's going to be the whole rank/matchmaking debate all over again

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3032318#Comment_3032318

If you don't play a Killer a lot, you probably aren't gonna have them Prestiged highly, if at all.

For example, I don't play Billy. Even when he was fun, I didn't like him. I might be P1 with him and am subsequently very bad.

My Nemesis and Blight however, are likely going to be at least P5, if not more if I'm understanding how the system works.

You won't have Prestige Levels on a Killer you don't level up a lot.

You won't have Prestige Levels on a Killer you don't level up a lot.

But you'll probably go at least to Prestige 9 with all of them just t to get the charms, which is not exactly a low prestige level

So yeah, the prestige level could be an indication of playtime, but could at the same time very well not be an indication of skill, just like ranks

  • I don't see why they shouldn't

The fact that they are generic perks means that you'll find them in other characters bloodwebs even if you didn't prestige them, but after all they're still considered perks related to that character if you actually bought the chapter

    image.png
  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/331453/how-do-i-get-iri-chaser

You literally have to be chasing them long enough in game. The longer you chase. The more points you get.

    Absolutely not.

The shorter the chase, the more points are awarded to the killer.

So you need to have lots of short successful chases to get Gold, that's why Legion is perfect for it, you start a chase, hit the survivor with your power, find another survivor with the killer instinct and hit them, rinse and repeat.

    image.png

  • It's more than disappointing. It's bad for who receives it, and bad for who doesn't.

From the POV of people who P3ed their character losing bloodpoints, event items and offerings in the proces, the icon is not something that commemorates or "repays" properly the efforts done, so it's not seen as a good reward.

From the POV of people who didn't prestige, the icon can be seen as another exclusive thing that they'll miss out with no option at all to be gained in the future, leaving a sour taste in the mouth.

It is a meaningless reward, but at the same time it's still an exclusive one. They could have done so many other things and instead chose the worst path available.

  • DS triggers, the audio indicator plays while the killer picks you up and the skill check doesn't give you the time to start wiggling to trigger Power Struggle

  • @sulaiman said:

For me, it was a good change for the most, because i had to try perks i usually wouldn´t use. However, if your goto-perks are not available, it really hurts, so you are kind of right on that.

Yeah trying new perks is something that I always liked doing

But after 15 matches in a row in which you cannot for the life of god have Second Wind to be useful you get tired of having to use ######### perks over and over again, and I'm talking about survivor, try playing a killer you like (so at least decent MMR) with below average perks

It's funny because players like this guy technicaly don't need BP

Right, because noone needs items, addons and offerings. Perks are the only things you pay in the bloodweb, right?

The fact that a lot of people would prefer BPs tells you a lot about how ######### the icon is as a reward.

Imagine losing all your addons, items and perks (so about 5 million bps) and the reward is a logo. It’s not enough compensation. Think about it. The bubba mask gave everyone 6k shards. That reward is better than this garbage

That's what I'm saying, FFS, they gave 6k shards to everyone who thouched bubba at least once for 4 cosmetics that were gained passively for free, and now we get ######### for something that I had to spend tons of bloodpoints to do?

    @sulaiman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3024777#Comment_3024777

This is true for all of my killers. All of them got all perks (i have), and never got prestiged. (i only missing pig and the ring-chapter).

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3025297#Comment_3025297

Well, i thing you prestiged wrong, then. while i never prestiged a killer (i am a survivor main anyway) i prestiged a lot of my survviors. And it was not that hard, because i would prestige one, spend the 1000000+ bp i had (bloodpoint limit + unclaimed challenges), and leveled them to lvl 50. Then i chose the best perks they had, and played with them until all bp-offerings and all good items were gone. There was not much left to lose. Any additional bp could be spend by starting another char without bpofferings and items on his way to prestige.

So basicly, if you already burned their good items and offerings, there was nothing to lose.

I did prestige like that, that's why I don't have all my characters at P3.

Still, I had to lose all my event limited offerings and items in the process, and that is a pill that is hard to swallow right now since I could have simply kept at least one of each for collecting purposes.

And FFS, playing with whatever perk you had at level 50 was a pain most of the time, especially since they ######### up the RNG bloodweb generation for perks.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3025297#Comment_3025297

And you knew that you would lose everything when you prestiged for the bloody cosmetic.

They told you and you said yes that's fine

If it was fine then, why isn't it fine now?

You got the bloody cosmetic earlier then all the other ones who get it now at P6

Complaining about the reward you are getting now even though there is zero reason they need to give one is entitlement

    Nothing more and nothing less

It was fine because it was the only way to get them.

I'm complaining (and I'm well not alone) because the "reward" doesn't feel like a reward but more like a slap in the face all considered.

Without considering the fact that they stated that the reward would not have been a cosmetic one, but an icon IS a cosmetic, no matter what they say to defend themselves.

I'm not entitled if I'm saying that an icon is a ######### "reward" for what we had to do. They chose to reward the efforts of people who prestiged, I can point out that they are not doing it properly.

While I haven’t seen the p3 icon reward, I do hope it’s pretty cool. But I’m here to say that nobody forced you to prestige your characters, they literally gave you a warning saying that you will lose everything on that character. They don’t owe anything. I have a couple maxed out p3 characters with every perk on them and a couple non prestiged characters with every perk on them. I don’t feel like I wasted my bloodpoints or anything on them because I accepted the fact that I would be losing stuff on those characters. And like somebody else said, they can’t just make the rewards extremely cool because everybody will try to get them therefore totally disrespecting the people that chose not to prestige their characters and unlock a bunch of items on them by making them lose an extreme amount of items, etc. But people who did prestige were warned. And you’re lucky, while I do have some characters p3 I don’t really have my mains p3 (besides kinda 1 but I only use sometimes). While you people may think it’s not that cool, it still is a limited time special reward that I wish I had on my mains but I’m not losing all my stuff to prestige them

I'm not asking for a "special cool reward"

I'd be fine with bloodpoints since I wasted those.

You think I would have prestiged anyone if I knew the bloody cosmetics (only reason to prestige) were going to be given out later for free? Hell no

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

The reward for p3ing early was the bloody cosmetics.

You know that was the reward when you went for it.

They didn't have to give anything. It's not like you lose anything

From what you write I guess you never prestiged anyone, did you?

Saying "it's not like you lose anything" is idiotic and stupid.

When you prestige you lose addons and offerings that you PAID with bloodpoints, and you need to spend MORE BLOODPOINTS to get back your perks. Sure, your reward is the bloody cosmetic, and that's why it was worth it, but guess what? Everyone gets that now for free.

So yes. I did lose something: a ######### heap of bloodpoints, items and offerings, including event themed ones.

There is big difference in something that can't be acquired anymore and something that can be acquired at your will though.

There is big difference in something that can't be acquired anymore and something that can be acquired at your will though.

I don't trust BHVR anymore at this point, I'm not gonna bet anything on the fact that down the line they'll never say "After recent discussions we came to the conclusion that the exclusive icon in the endgame was a mistake and for that reason we are removing it"

The cost of earning the bloody cosmetics and the icon in this moment is exactly the same, with the difference that basically anyone who prestiged is saying not to do it only for the icon because it's a more than meager "reward" 😊

  • @WesCravenFan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3024781#Comment_3024781

The reasoning behind that is that the bloody cosmetic is worthless if you actually have a cosmetic you want to use for the character. What POSSIBLY reason did I have for getting bloody clothing on default Meg, who looks like a dumb pastiche of Pippi Longstocking, when I can have her wear much better clothing?

And why on earth would a slightly different icon be worth it?

If it's because "it's exclusive" the same thing could have been said about the bloody cosmetics

The icon alone is not worth throwing away all you have, don't worry.

    I wish I didn't prestige anyone.

How stupid do you think I feel right now? My options are throw it all away, or get screwed out of the special reward.

get screwed out of the special reward.

Special reward? Sorry, what special reward? An icon in the endgame screen? Are you mad?

You thought that an exclusive free skin was not enough to make you prestige but a slightly different icon in the endgame screen does the deal for you? I'd like to hear the reasoning behind that

If anything you should feel relieved that you're getting all the stuff that came with prestiging without any of the downsides. Think about all the event items and offerings you still have, think about all the bloodpoints you didn't waste and then compare them to a slightly different icon

Are you saying the conversion will go by how many perk tiers you have rather than how many levels you've completed?

    They haven't specified either way...

They said it will take into account how many perk/tiers you have unlocked, didn't they?

  • @Babadook83 said:

a follow up question: how many perks do you need to get when you don't prestige after reaching level 50 bloodweb, to get the equivalent of prestige 3 in the new system?

2 perks per bloodweb, 1 per bloodweb for the early levels lets say under 25... Approximately 275 perk tiers, so 91 perks, which is just about all of them...

You get around 60 perk tiers from level 1 to level 50 in the bloodweb.

So to get P3 on a P0 character you need 180 perk tiers unlocked (if BHVR does things fairly).

Like, if you have Self Care at level 3 you have 3 perk tiers unlocked, if you have Small Game at level 2 you have 2 perk tiers unlocked.

I've read different approaches as to what to do best now with the massive bloodpoints we're getting as of right now. 100k is pretty average per match with all the flans and bloodhunt.

    What is best to do?

    • 1)Prestige= lose all flans u possibly have (a lot of my survivers have p3 already)
    • 2)Just continue getting all perks on all the chars surv and killer without prestiging further
    • 3) why keep playing to put points and buy perks when i get them anyway through the new system? so is it really effective to keep playing until the new system arrives?

    What do YOU think?

    Best option is number 2

I'm going to go for number 4 though

Spend bps to get event items/offerings on everyone, finish the event tome, reach 1 million bps, stop playing until the new prestige system rolls out

I mean like, maybe if I didn't have a full time job and friends ready and able to snatch me away to Divinity and Ark I'd be able to get the rest of my killers to P3? Bill's already at P3, I don't care about the other survivors.

    But it's looking dodgy.

If you don't care about using the flans you get, and don't care about sleeping enough hours, I'd say it depends on how many prestiges you need, but it's dire

Or I mean, maybe if you don't have a SO that pretends to receive attention during weekends you can avoid sleeping for this weekend of double bloodpoints that was 100% not set up to avoid player loss given the controversial things they did in the update (most of it is good, but people concentrate on the few bad ones, and they're VERY bad)

    Preeetty much.

I wish they let us share offerings before they gave us hundreds of flans and told us to prestige our characters.

And that's where my ######### pet peeve is

They gave the choice, sure, you can have the P3 icon on your character, but you gotta say bye to your flans, the bloodpoints you used to buy them AND the bloodpoints you could have gained from them, because there's NO WAY you'll manage to use 58 flans on every character AND prestige everyone to P3 before the event ends

And all that for a ######### shiny pin in the endgame screen? Hell no, ######### hell BHVR, I'll level up everyone a couple of times to get flans and event items and then stop playing until the new system rolls out.

lets see if i understand what you say so basicly we have a total of 84 Perks that means 252 perk tiers. (killer side)

if you are level 50 without prestiging and not goin beyond you have 60 perk tiers.

So in order to get P3 after rework we need 120 perk tiers on a character never prestiged if they actually count the first 60 as a prestige level (so another 1.5 - 1.6m bp)

If they start counting from lvl 50 and the first 60 do not count you need 180 perk tiers (so thats roughly about 3.0 - 3.2m bp you need to spend)

If your values are correct you can skip 1 prestige level in the rework if you have 120 perks. if behaviour plays it that you need 180 perk tiers to get p3 (because we did not get any values yet) you basicly need the bloodpoints to level a char to p3 without any perks.

For the people who have already allot of addons on certain killers not prestiging can be worth it so they are not losing anything.

but in th example i gave i only needed to P3 killers i never play like hag so why not go to p3 unlock the perk tiers and cosmetics as i will never use addons/offerings on her. The amount of bloodpoints stays the same. So the icon and cosmetics are just a little extra.

    also:

so according to your values my prestige 3 characters with all perks (252 perk tiers) will get an aditional 6 prestige levels so that means that they are going to P9 when the rework hits?

Ah you're right, you need to ignore the first 60 tiers because you're at P0 while you collect them, so the conversion should be something like:

0 - 59 perk tiers: No prestige gained

    60 - 120 perk tiers: 1 prestige gained

    121 - 179 perk tiers: 2 prestiges gained

    180 - 239 perk tiers: 3 prestiges gained

    240 - 299 perk tiers: 4 prestiges gained

    Look man

I can't rationally justify it, but as long as I have at least one flan, my inner completionist is satisfied. I can have the one in my vault to look at next to all the pins and say "yup, I have those".

I feel you, and the main reason I'm complaining about the stupid icon is that I basically feel like I threw away my items from old events and I will never be able to get them, for nearly nothing.

I'm valuing the fact that I could have had some Pustula Petals offerings on my characters more than an icon in the endgame screen.

    Correction: tier 3 teachables.

I just want STBFL on Deathslinger and it clearly isn't happening any other way, goddamnit.

You should be able to get it even if you go over level 50 far enough with Myers without burning all you offerings, addons and perks, and since the new system will "play catch up" it means that if you keep levelling up myers over level 50 you'll find him at prestige 3 in the new system

I never went over 50 with the killers i did not like so much. I only unlocked the teachable perks so in total i would have had maybe 1 page of perks.

While there will be a catch up mechanic i dont think 1 page of perks will get me to p3 when overhaul hits.

Atm we also do not now how many perks you need in order to level up a prestige or go to P3 after rework.

For example: Lets say Hag i do not play her... from the 84 perks i have 1 page of 15 perks (all between rank 1 - 3) If i spent 3 mil bp she is P3. To max out her perks (all 84 of them) i need to spend 6 - 7 mil so i basicly need to spend more then i would prestige her. The flans do not matter as i dont play her.

i already have all my killers i like and play at p3 with all perks before the rework system was announced. so for me it takes less time just to prestige the few i never play so why should i keep flans on them when im never going to use them in the first place...

The killers i like already have over hundreds of flans and i still have cakes from previous year also. :)

Prestige will not be optional anymore.

It means that every 50 level you get a prestige level.

Translating how many perks you have into how many prestiges you have shouldn't be hard.

From level 1 to level 40 you get 1 perk per bloodweb (the bloodwebs that generate 2 perks eat one as soon as you take the other) and from level 40 to level 50 you get up to 2 perks per bloodweb.

So from level 1 to level 50 you get 60 perk tiers.

Count your perk tiers (NOED tier 3 counts for 3, BBQ tier 2 counts for 2) and divide the total by 60, you get an idea of the prestige level you should gain (if BHVR does things fairly) once the new prestige rolls out.

    Yes.

A: ooh aah shiny pin I can never get again, and B: I want all my damn teachables on all my killers.

I want all my damn teachables on all my killers.

You'll get them anyway even if you don't prestige and only go over level 50.

You're doing it only for a shiny pin.

I was going to put this in feedback but with the PTB next week, I take it this time has passed, so now it can just be what could have been.

What would have been preferable (compared to an icon) and what I'd kinda hoped for was a time limited enhanced gameplay or game feature boost. An actual reward. For example (numbers arbitrary and used for example only):

    • For the next 60 trials, your prestige character gets a 1.5% haste effect.
    • For the next 3 months, your base level of bloodpoint storage is increased by 10 000 for each prestiged character up to a maxiumum of 1 500 000. Total storage will return to 1 000 000 at the end of this period.
    • For the next 3 months, each prestige character played earns a 5% bloodpoint bonus for each trial completed.
    • For the next 3 months, each presitge character played with earns a 7.5% XP bonus.

A minor but extended bit of niceness. Many possibilities. Similar to how you get the bonus in the "beta" function.

If you wanna give an icon, a token cosmetic, etc etc as well, then sure.

    • - For the next 60 trials, your prestige character gets a 1.5% haste effect.
    • No. Highly unfair for everyone else, and people would be accused of cheating.
    • - For the next 3 months, your base level of bloodpoint storage is increased by 10 000 for each prestiged character up to a maxiumum of 1 500 000. Total storage will return to 1 000 000 at the end of this period.
    • Nearly useless, especially when you limit it for a short period of time.
    • - For the next 3 months, each prestige character played earns a 5% bloodpoint bonus for each trial completed.
    • Make it a permanent boost and we can talk.
    • - For the next 3 months, each presitge character played with earns a 7.5% XP bonus.
    • Same as above, make it a permanent boost and we can talk about it.

The best solution imo would be in game currency, whether that be bloodpoints (like, calculate how many bloodpoints it costs to go from level 1 to level 50 and multiply it by 3 for each character), iridescent shards (idk how many) or auric cells (lol, even saying it makes me want to laugh at myself)
