Anyone know if they bothered to fix this yet?

This is BHVR we're talking about...

Im more impressed you had a Cenobite. I haven't seen one in days.

He is the Cenobite. You can tell because it shows the killer on the right side instead of all the survivors.

  • Definitely think it should be shown post-match. Pre-match is debatable, but post-match really isn't.

I remember having a hacker in one of my matches and the killer (streamer, I was able to check his stream and hear him say this) just assumed we were all part of a SWF and reported us all as "accomplices" instead of just the actual hacker.

It was an idiotic thing for him to do, but it wouldn't have happened if it showed the hacker was solo.

I"ll say this, they are very obvious if you play him. He's decent in the fact that he has normal speed and a basic attack(though I'm pretty sure his M1 is bugged, it misses some hits that I really think should hit). His powers(the box and possessed hook) need some tweaking.

How is Pinhead having a basic attack something that makes him decent? That's a fundamental mechanic that every killer shares. If his power sucks, then he sucks, because an M1 killer doesn't cut it if you're playing against someone who's played a video game before.

I’ve been in chaotic games where all four of us took turns trying to stay on top of the box, and it didn’t always work out In our favor. You have someone in chase, someone slugged, a gen 80% done but regressing because of ruin, everyone’s injured with sloppy, someone is too far to know where the box is (azarov’s resting place/suffocation pit the worst). etc. etc. There’s different scenarios but the killer created that chaotic environment. It’s probably SWF (like everything else in this game) using comms to be efficient. Solo que is no guaranteed cake walk vs. Pinhead.

I wish those who say he comes up short in certain areas could literally sit down next to the Pinheads I go against, cause a lot of them know what they’re doing and play just fine.

You usually don't have those problems with Pinhead, because he's not really at all good. You can see the box at infinite range, so if you're too far to know where the box is then he's using the iridescent addon.

He doesn't, users here love to exaggerate.

If the survivor ques were long this thread would be full of ''it's because killer is hard'' or ''survivor sided game'' posts

I can attest that I've definitely been getting those types of teams the past couple days, constant sweatfest

You are crazy. If you can manage to stop the survivors 3 times or so from solving the box thats 3 hooks and 3 chainhunts activated its a win. The pressure chainhunts put on the group is massive slow down especially if you chain them .

You're living in an alternate reality if you think that actually ever happens.

  • how come half the replies in this thread are actually just straight up lies? do people actually believe that stuff?

  • @FreakPrince said:

Who would waste a perk slot for that? We already have Undying

Number 8 was just playing by your rules lmfao

You're the one who brought up spawn locations... Just reminding you how wrong you are

I think a new perk should be Old Ruin, but it only lasts the first 40/50/60 seconds of the trial. Slows gens down for the early game, but then does nothing the rest of the trial. Giving Killers a little more time to build pressure early.

we already have that, it's called Corrupted Intervention.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2024492#Comment_2024492

Can't believe you're silly enough to ask

    1. Faster movement
    2. Unique powers as standard
    3. Ability to land a hit after a vault
    4. Lunge hits
    5. Killers with ability to traverse the map end to end incredibly quickly (e.g. Billy, Oni, Nurse etc.)
    6. Exit gates commonly spawning close to eachother
    7. BBQ & Chili
    8. Hits that start and then bend 180 degrees around corners before landing
    9. Ability to range hit a survivor who isn't in your terror radius (e.g. Deathslinger, Huntress)
    10. Body blocking
    11. Being undetectable by various means
    12. Slugging / creation of The Twins to maximise this method

    And so on...

The problem with the balance of the game is that it is a very different experience when it is good players in a SWF compared to solo survivors. Average skilled killers get salty when they experience good SWF & demand more of a power gap.

The higher skilled killers can deal with it & the best can do it without perks

    LOL

so your argument for killers having an advantage over survivors is "they can kill survivors"?

man it sucks that survivors have such a massive advantage over survivors, they can escape the trial! Killers can't do that!

    1. No #########? If you moved at the same speed as survivors you wouldn't be able to catch them, all they would have to do is hold W to win
    2. Because without a power, they would be an M1 killer, and they would never get a kill
    3. You mean like how survivors can land a stun or complete a vault after getting downed?
    4. And survivors can sprint and vault and drop pallets, your point?
    5. Survivors with ability to complete generators incredibly quickly (Prove Thyself, toolboxes, etc.)
    6. Or spawning on the opposite end of the map from each other, which is very common on like half the maps in the game
    7. WGLF/DS/UB/DH/OoO/etc...
    8. Running that starts and then bends 180 degrees around corners causing you to miss
    9. Ability to hide and avoid a killer
    10. Body blocking is generally more helpful to survivors... lol
    11. Survivors don't even HAVE a terror radius
    12. WGLF / Flip Flop / Tenacity / creation of Unbreakable to counter this method

do you actually believe the drivel you post or are you just trolling?

Look betleguy on twitch he is main hill billy, or umbra or ohtofu with billy and you will see that it is in fact he is more strong than demo, but in reality there are no stronger or weaker killers, only bad users of the killers.

    wat

  • @GannTM said:

The difference is that Billy's chainsaw is a one-shot down while Demo's shred is not. I do agree the overheat mechanic was BS and shouldn't have been added to his kit. His add ons needed nerfs but base Billy was perfectly fine.

Overheating is silly and also trash, but they've made his steering feel like molasses too, and you always have to charge for like 5 seconds because there's no speed addons anymore

Old billy was dope, I mained him, new billy not so much

They are completely different killers. Hillbilly can flick around corners and can steer with his chainsaw. Demogorgon has to commit to a single direction with his shred and thus relies on zoning and baiting more than Billy.

I want for Dead by Daylight this:

    • Fix (buffing or reworking) all the bad killers and survivor perks in the game.
    • Your fourth idea will be interesting.
    • Buff or rework all the bad addons of killers and nerf or rework the OP ones.
    • Rework the boring killers and buff the weak ones.

I'm with you man (or woman). :)

I definitely agree that we need a higher standard of quality for killers and perks. There's much too wild variance, especially in perks. We have stupid ######### like Monstrous Shrine and Hope, versus amazing perks like Borrowed Time and Dead Hard.

    1. I would absolutely love it if we could do duo killer mode. Kill Your Friends with public people is probably not a great idea, since either you get no BP, so random people end up in a match with no points, or you get BP, and your friends grief the randoms and then you farm. However, a duo killer mode could be really cool, not only because of the interesting tactics involved, but because it would be a lot more fun to play with just one friend, and if you want to play killer, you can still actually play with a friend.
    2. We don't need more jump scares. That's a cheap way to create "horror". If the maps are to be scarier, they should induce a feeling of fear and dread. Jump scares aren't good to begin with, but if you get jump scared every game, it wears off very quickly, first becoming not at all scary, and then becoming annoying. Like Hag traps, those jump scare you, which is scary at first, then it becomes boring, then it becomes really annoying how it jerks your camera to be "scary".
    3. Yes
    4. Yes
    5. That won't work. They've tried stuff like that before. The problem is, survivors will loop you around their hooked friend to get themselves an advantage; it'd actually make it easier for survivors to rescue, whether you camp or not. We have Borrowed Time and stuff like that. Just use those. If they nerf camping/tunneling, those perks are already OP, but they'll become insanely strong or have to be completely reworked.
  • I would definitely be rid of Distressing. It gives more bloodpoints, but I don't believe it can go past the cap, and the whole idea appears to max your points in a super long game.

Try Ruin or Dying Light. Or throw out Coulro or BBQ and get both.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1905646#Comment_1905646

Oh yeah, I never see PH do that, so I forgot. Still counts as a hook stage tho.

It counts, mechanically, as a hook stage, but it doesn't count as a hook, not even mechanically. Borrowed Time, DS, Devour Hope, etc, none of that works.

I like the idea that Michael doesn't care about the Entity. You know, why should he sacrifice people if he can just kill them? When I play Myers I don't care about sacrificing, there is only one goal: kill them all with my own hands.

Kinda, he still has to obey the Entity's rules about hooking Survivors

No, he can send them to his doom cages.

  • Sure, if it's severely nerfed (halve stun time, timer ends if you work on gens, etc) and the original perk is reworked.

  • I think Moris should be basekit, but you can only use them on death hook.

It's a shame that you only get to see the badass animation when you bring an offering that makes people ragequit.

  • People really do be walking on the trail and then complaining about it, huh.

You said that I'm lucky or a liar and you also said that I don't know what I'm talking about.

Also, I don't know why you chose to quote me without actually reading what I wrote. Yes, almost everyone uses DS. No, they don't use it offensively. They don't TRY to get downed on purpose so they can use it.

The 1 person I mentioned used it offensively by getting downed ON PURPOSE next to the exit gate just to DS the killer, teabag him and leave. That person is not in my list and I don't play with him anymore.

My point on UB stands. I only saw a spike on it when Hex Ruin was changed and killers started slugging a lot more because of that. Say what you will but I was there for it. Before that people were not bringing it often.

My point stands. Pot meet kettle.

Yes, I said those things because they are true.

I quoted it because I did read it. I don't think you even realize what you typed, either that or you're trolling.

My point on UB also stands. I have seen it at all times since it was released. Say what you will, but I was there for it. I was there before it was invented.

Sorry your only argument is to repeat tired phrases that don't apply to the situation at hand, and sorry you can't handle being wrong.

    Pot meet kettle.

I've played this game since Bubba was the new killer. And no, UB was not meta until slugging was meta. Also, I never said that my friends use DS offensively, so I don't know where you pulled that from.

But I like your style. Go on with your bad self calling me names when someone calls you out on your baseless comments. I had no idea eight year olds had access to the forums

ah yes, the tried and true "i'm wrong! better start calling my opponent 8 years old"

i've played this game since before nurse was even a killer, dude.

"Out of all my friends I am one of 3 people that doesn't run DS or UB"

"Out of the dozens of friends I've played with over the years, every single one of them but 1 person got downed on purpose in order to use DS to get out."

also, I... didn't call you any names, lol. So I don't know where you pulled that from :)

  • @[Deleted User] said:

  • @jhiieri said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1733853#Comment_1733853

Sorry but you are wrong on ALL accounts.

Out of all my friends I am one of 3 people that doesn't run DS or UB and you know what everyone asks me? "Why don't you run them if you're getting tunneled and slugged all the time?" My answer is "I don't want trash killers dictating what perks I'll use"

Unbreakable was around for a LONG time and unused until killers started slugging after the Hex: Ruin perk was changed.

Out of the dozens of friends I've played with over the years, every single one of them but 1 person got downed on purpose in order to use DS to get out. It was by the gate too. I never played with him after that. I've seen friends go into lockers to force DS, yes, but that is because they were being tunneled to begin with.

As far as your last statement goes, read the above. I've made dozens of friends in this game. Killer and Survivor mains.

I really, really wish any of that were true, but you're either lying, don't play this game, or extraordinarily lucky.

Unbreakable has been meta literally since Bill was released, just like Borrowed Time.

You're kind of defeating your own argument by telling me that literally everyone you play with uses Decisive Strike offensively.

I can tell you've probably never played Killer, and as a result don't really know what you're talking about, but you can continue spouting your misinformed opinion all you like.

  • @jhiieri said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1731768#Comment_1731768

That is your advice? Be even more toxic? if killers quit playing like that there would be less toxic survivors. 99% of survivors run DS because most killers tunnel. Same thing with Unbreakable. You hardly ever saw it for the first few years until slugging became a thing.

Will there still be toxic survivors even if all the killers stopped tunneling and being slugging? Probably. Will you come across almost every survivor running UB and DS? No. DS & UB is not the action. It's the reaction.

So keep advising more killers to play like you and there will be nothing but toxicity in this game.

99% of survivors run decisive strike because it makes you invincible.

You didn't see unbreakable for the first few years because it didn't exist.

DS and UB are absolutely the action. You would still see everyone run them no matter the state of the meta because they are just the best perks in the whole game.

There already is nothing but toxicity in this game.

No I dont mean like that. I just run if I hear a terror radius I dont try and sneak away. So im a visible target.

You acknowledge that this is why you die, and that the problem lies in you and not the game, yet you refuse to change. Deplorable.

  • Jesus Christ, this is a new low. You ran out of things to complain about, so now you need to complain about something that not only does not affect you in any way, but is beneficial to your teammate? That is just sad. They did not plan on unhooking themselves, so no, they're not going to do it immediately. The whole reason they do it is because it's a win/win. They fail and you unhook them, or they succeed and maybe get an achievement. There are so many things in this game to complain about that actually MATTER, and you choose the most insignificant, meaningless nothing to complain about, and then try to use "omg toxic streemurz" as some sort of scapegoat?  I think you should play a single player game. Then you don't have to worry about your teammates having free will.

  • @Komodo16 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/202501/survivors-can-t-do-their-objective

As much as it sucks just try and avoid the killer when he is nearby. I usually am the first found and I never try and hide so I am the first dead unless the killer is bad or my team is good. Now I realize I have to try and avoid him at the start so he can get his pressure rolling and I can do my objectives and then I will get chased after I gain some points. I dont play immersed mind you, but I wont be chased at the beginning anymore if I dont have to.

Yes, hiding is, in fact, one of the core mechanics of this game, integral to surviving.

If you just run in the killer's face all game, you will obviously die.

  • @Kaitlin814 said:

Just played a match where the killer was not hooking survivors when there were available hooks. He would pick up the survivor and take them to a corner of the map (farm) and would have them wiggle out in the corner where there were no pallets, windows, etc., and he would be able to down them within seconds of wiggling out. And he repeated this process probably 20+ between 4 different survivors.

In the post game lobby, I just said "I hope you're proud of yourself" and "now I understand why so many people hate this community". His reasoning for doing it was 2 of us had DS. He proceeded to say how it's sad that we can't win without having to use perks like DS. (Mind you, he was using ruin, undying, thanataphobia, and BBQ - LOL).

Part of my rant is, it really bothers me that people who play like this never get any consequences, but someone will get banned for saying something stupid in post game chat.

If the killer was able to do that 20+ times... you might have just been really bad.

  • Agreed, it adds nothing to the game.

Wiggling is alright, since it's moderately skill-based, but struggling is just annoying. "Hey, one nano-second of lag? Your hand cramped? We just didn't like you this time? Banished"

  • I like this idea, it punishes survivors for sitting in front of the killer and teabagging him and encourages them to, you know, play the game.

    • Slower gen speed
    • Make New Ruin not a hex

    That's really all.

  • I agree, bloodpoint gain should just be this high normally, it's rather obscene trying to level up all these different killers and survivors and get their perks.

  • I want to see Duo Killer mode, or really any way I can play killer and still queue with a friend.

I also want to see a Hotline Miami crossover, either in the form of Legion cosmetics or a new Chapter.

1 … 7 8 9 10
