Nah, theres one cooler than that but only REALLY cool ppl get to have it
-
Meh, I hear theres a cooler badge of honor profile pic goin around nowdays anyway.
-
@Nicholas Typically when people talk about deactivation requirements, it comes from the idea that "If X happens, your not being tunneled". If you had time to work on a gen for example, the killer isnt tunneling you.
-
@Dead_by_Gadfly Yeah... thats not really a thing here, lol. People might do it as a last ditch effort, but its not something to bank on. In the last month, I could probably count on 1 hand the amount of times a survivor has made me wiff an attack because of a "flick". Fortunately with the change of MMR... all these survivors wont know they arnt playing at "rank 1" anymore and will just assume they're the creme of the crop.
-
@Dead_by_Gadfly PC killers are already use to playing against survivors on controllers... The reason why 360ing is so effective on console isnt because controllers 360 better or anything, its because the killers your 360ing dont have nearly as good of control over their character to be able to keep up with it. If you try 360ing a PC killer... your just gonna get smacked. Its not gonna work out for you NEARLY as often. You might be able to do it against newbies, but goodluck ever getting away with that in the later ranks. If the reason why you last so long in chases is because you were able to 360 your way out of trouble when you messed up... your not gonna last so long against a killer who can smack you down.
-
@Dead_by_Gadfly I would guess the killrates are about the same really. Even if the killers were better on one platform than the other, that would just promote the survivors to adjust more on that platform. That's one reason I'm guessing people who've been really use to 360ing on console to be hti with a rude awakening when they have to play against PC killers.
-
Theres really no point in switching platforms with crossplay around the corner.
-
Heres what happens when a 2 year veteran goes on break for afew months. This rank can hit 1 within a few days/ a week. I know my killer rank sure did, lol.

standing still is a mindgame...how exactly?
every other killer can fake their power or hide their red light, spirit can hid her red light sure but standing still doesn't classify as a mindgame, it classifies as standing perfectly still, not even using M2 to make you think she's phasing just standing still
When she pulls that, you kinda just have to play "shrodinger's spirit" and assume shes both phasing AND not phasing. You'd want to make it hard for her to locate your exact position by scuffing up the scratchmarks while also not putting yourself super out of position incase shes just standing there.
You also have to use common sense of the timing. If she JUST phased, shes obviously faking because its on cooldown.

To be fair, #2 can also just be the killer being petty at times.
For example, I've seen many cases where the killer was chasing someone, then saw someone else going for the save, gave up chase and hit the new person going for a save. At that point you have at least 2 people injured and one on hook. You might as well use BT.
Now I am not sure if this has a name like "camping" or "tunneling" does, but to me its not different than camping. You are giving up chase to make sure someone doesn't get saved.
Thats applying pressure to as many ppl as possible. If a killer chases 1 guy while allowing the rest to regroup and heal up...he's only pressuring 1 person and the other 3 are free to be on gens. If the killer swaps targets and gets a hit like in your example... There's probably gonna be a hook trade if an unhook takes place, the fresh unhooked guy has to find someone to heal him because he doesnt have a teammate/time to heal up under hook AND the guy being initially chased also has to go off and heal. A killer's gameplay revolves around keeping as many survivors busy, and therefore off gens for as long as possible.

As every console store takes a share of what you buy, I don't think any DLC will transfer from one to another.
Buy something from Sony on PS4 and get it free from MS on PC ? Very unlikely. Every company want a bit of our money.
It's possible. I've never played fortnite but apparently it has cross progression with it's cosmetics and such. I also know everytime Warframe releases on a new console, the PC players have the opportunity to swap their account (with all the unlocked content) to the new console.

The speargun can shoot through alot of holes. Its mostly about being able to actually DO something once you get the shot. While you can injure someone by breaking the chain, in order to actually DOWN someone...you have to be able to reel them in for an M1.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJSb0T8d6OsTheres a shot made at the 2:40 mark demonstrating this.

I love how in all these posts you always see the obligatory "I'm a killer main but..." or "I play both sides". Its like "I'm a killer main but, I think speed limiter is just too OP. To fix this, all killers should get slowed down to 80% speed. That'll make things alot more fun."

With Clown being the one to put on the X rated puppet show...And Amanda and Ash looking on in utmost disgust, lol.
-
@GreyBigfoot said:
Lucky Break only has a 3 minute timer, then it's inactive for the rest of the match. If a killer hasn't lost track of you, then Lucky Break's timer is just counting down and you get little use from it, same if you were hooked. You could easily lose a lot of your 3 minutes from your first chase & hook.
Iron Will is a permanent effect, and tracking by sound is more effective than blood trails anyway.
A healthy survivor doesn't leave blood or make noises, so it doesn't seem egregiously OP to use 2 perks to emulate being healthy.
You bring up a good point with ironwill. What if they did a sort of sidegrade in that you have a smaller timer, but the perk is only active while inside the TR. This way you dont have to worry about your perk draining time while the killer is on the other side of the map and wouldnt see the blood anyway.

Nah, if anything I think Ashy Slashy should be in there. Clown goes out of his way to grab the hand Ashy is NOT on for his Mori. Means theres probably some feelings there.

How dare you suggest this? I mean, how would those poor survivors bully people if every killer sense wasn't completely crippled?
It makes perfect sense to not be able to see someone directly in front of you, or to be blinded by something you cant even see. Next thing we know, you'll want to be able to control the chase music volume, so you can actually hear where the survivors are going. That or you'll want blendettes to be visible on dark maps. Or you'll want the corn to be lower.
Good god man, we have the game balance to think of. We would need months of data and testing to test the fairness of this.
-
Feel like people overstate how hard she is to play. While nurse generally takes a LONG time to learn... Spirit you can pretty much master in a day. She was one of the last killers that I actually decided to pick up and try playing with instead of just lvling her to 40 for her teachables using BPs earned from other killers. I thought for SURE that it was gonna be a huge headache playing her based off what I had read on here. After getting back to back 4ks pretty much instantly as a red rank killer... I was just laughing to myself at how much people exaggerated.

Yes, you can use LOS blockers but you’ll most likely be injured if you have a trap on so if you don’t have Iron Will she will probably hear you and judging by the direction you’re heading she’ll know what boxes you need to search next.
If only there was some way to heal up and not have the timer on your head active.
-
@Rey_512 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1334623#Comment_1334623
It’s not possible to “not be obvious” when you pretty much have to run in a straight line to each Jigsaw box, especially if you’re on a big map and/or are unlucky enough to have to search each box. Remember, your timer goes down when not being chased so it’s not like you can just stealthily make your way around the map. The Pig also can see the boxes, so she’ll know exactly where you’re heading.
She'll know where the boxes are, but doesnt know which one your headed to next. Thats like saying because the killer can see gens...she'll know EXACTLY where everyone is headed. As far as not being obvious goes... You can avoid running out in the middle of the open and try to at least use LOS blockers if the killer is nearby.

If she sees the timer, she can choose to drop chase with another survivor and follow the trapped survivor while crouched because that would be the easiest option to get someone out of the game. It’s not fun as survivor to deal with a trap then get tunneled by the Pig. Almost equivalent to facecamping.
Obviously if Pig isn’t in chase or anything then spots me while I have a RBT I don’t expect her to leave me alone, but many times they will pick the trapped survivor over the non-trapped to chase.
Once again... them choosing to chase you after youve been free to do whatever for awhile isnt tunneling. Its actually a sign of a good killer if they are dropping chases to apply pressure elsewhere. If you make yourself obvious... thats on you. As it stands, the killer can already gauge how much time you have left by the beeping and the color of the light.
-
@Rey_512 said:
Killers don’t need the Deep Wound timer information, honestly. It would be helpful to SOME degree but it would feel inconsequential over time.
Pig doesn’t need to see her RBT timers, she would just tunnel the survivors with little time left. She’d just get a lot situational awareness that isn’t necessary. Add to the fact that she can crouch to make a timer keep going while chasing a survivor will make life hell.
I don’t think Ghost Face can see the Marked Survivor timer right? That’s probably the only timer I’d like to see on the killer side, since Michael can see his Evil Within 3 timer’s progress.
If the helmet has little time left...would you even consider it tunneling at that point since it means she hasnt been chasing that person?
-
I disagree with this post, so I suppose that makes me a 2 year newbie.

There are a couple add-ons that change her playstyle like the exhaustion, amanda's letter and amanda's secret. But those aren't the standard playstyle. Most Killers have add-ons like that.
There is 4 separate addons that offer various status effects to survivors with headgear. To suggest playing in a way that would make those addons have any value at all is improper is kinda silly. While I agree tunneling 1 survivor for an extended amount of time is likely to lose you the game since your not applying pressure elsewhere, often times people have it in their heads that that helmet is an invisibility cloak and any killer who dares get in their way from going to a puzzle box is playing wrong.
In truth... apply pressure to EVERYONE, including the guy who has a bomb on his head.

Yes, it will get deleted, but what I don't see is people telling him the other proper steps to reporting.
NO ONE told him to submit a ticket on the forums, just to adjust the picture. If he does get himself banned, and he doesn't know what else to do, these jerks will never get disciplined. That's my point.
I don't care if he gets banned, or the picture taken down, what I do care if he knows how there are other options to submit the picture.
And the fact that no one told him, and rather policed him on the forums rules and guidelines scares me. The behavior is so normalized no one batted an eye on the REAL subject of the matter.
Once again...no one is policing him. If you want to share all that information, feel free. You dont need to shame everyone else for not doing yet what you yourself have also failed to do.
It makes sense to take things 1 step at a time and have him fix the post that your interacting with someone on before the whole thing gets deleted. As far as sending reports... this screenshot was taken over 4 hours ago. I highly doubt he still has the endgame chat still up and an ingame report is 100% required before any other action can possibly take place.

@gatsby said:
The proper way to play pig is to use the traps as game slowdown. I won't actively seek out trapped Survivors because they're not doing generators, healing or saves usually they're just running around to boxes wasting time.
That being said. If I randomly find someone trying to get a trap off, I will target them because they're usually pretty easy to get a free hit on (I want those STBFL stacks). The traps and boxes are noisy so its relatively easy to hear even if I'm in a chase with someone else or patrolling generators. It's nothing personal just business
While it's true that headtraps are slowdown... Pig's addons which give exhaustion effect and all that is there for a reason.

I Love how there are players like these out there, there's proof and the first thing in forum user's mind is
"Naming and shaming is prohibited on the forums because of blah blah blah."
How about you tell the guy to open a ticket through the game, submit the pictures and let the mods handle it instead of already policing him on the forums rules and guidelines. Really shows the priorities on people's minds.
Sad.
Nobody is trying to police him but rather warn him. He can have his post up, thats fine...he just needs to go about the proper changes to the picture to avoid having his post deleted. If a mod sees this, thats whats going to happen.

Same. It's just that Rancor is so rarely used, in my experience, that it never even occurred to me that that's how he was tracking us.
Now I'm wondering if Third Seal could prevent Rancor's aura-reading on the survivor's side.
Or...you could do Rancor+Nemesis. Had a game where after I moried the obsession by the exit gates and their teammates t-bagged next to me during the animation, one of em decided to try to farm some quick BPs by flashlight blinding me. Obsession swaped over and I got ANOTHER mori, lol.

Here’s a video of a long time ago salt...I saved it for laughing at it later...I can confirm the steam name of this player is no longer that one, so it’s not name/shame. I scroll quickly since I intended to stop/start to read rather than go slow, but just makes me laugh every time how he couldn’t reconcile me being good with Nurse but falling for “basic mindgames” a couple times.

Oh yeah, I personally leave the chat open most of the time - only turn it off if I've had multiple groups in a row be toxic after the fact and I don't feel like opening myself up to more, but that generally only lasts a few games...DbD isn't the first game I've played with community toxicity, so I do have thickish skin when it comes to Internet trolls.
My wife on the other hand hated it...she's not played many competitive online games (though she can kick my ass at some non-online competitive games) and as such hadn't been exposed to the venom people can drip sometimes. The comments really got to her and so she permanently turned off end game chat so as to not deal with it. As a result, I fully understand that some people don't want to deal with the possibility of toxicity, so I'm glad the option exists.
That being said, since I came back from my break a week and a half ago or whatever it was, I've encountered less salt than I did before, which is refreshing, honestly.
I'm generally pretty relaxed when I play, which is probably one reason why the chat doesnt bother me as much as it does others. Generally the only reason why I save some is to share on here so we all can get a laugh of how pathetic some people can get about losing in a videogame. That being said... I've had games where I get tilted and stressed and just hit continue as fast as I can cuz I know I'm close to losing my ######### if I see anything in chat. Perhaps alot of people just have more games like that than I do. USUALLY though... win or lose, I'll say "GGs", although lately I've been taken to saying "GGWP" because some people see the first as sarcasm or something when they lose, so figured maybe the 2nd would sound more sincere.

The arrow is right next to the text box, and yes, it does remember between games if you had it clicked or not.
Heres a game where I literally facecamped everyone I caught with a revved chainsaw. Chat was REAL nice about it.
Heres a game where I just played aggressively and never spent very long on any given person...
Its not uncommon to get either one really. Most of the time its just afew GGs with maybe 1 salty guy, but sometimes... it turns into a pretty cool chat with someone pointing out a cool play they noticed.
Convos like THIS one are often times the reason why I dont just hit continue right away. This was a game I had using the NEW prayerbeads where I managed to mindgame a survivor into thinking I was chasing after their teammate...and gave em a heartattack with a gen grab, lol.
