The challenge is gold or better. You literally just have to escape to meet the requirement.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449269#Comment_1449269

It's also stated in the game when you hover over the emblem after a match.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449218#Comment_1449218

    How? Just... what?

    20200621204850_1.jpg 20200621204858_1.jpg

    Says i escaped broken...when I clearly died

  • I try to dip my toes into each killer and fortunately Plague is not one that I've slouched on.

  • @CosmicParagon said:

Here's the counterplay for all the killers, coming from a killer main:

    • Trapper: Watch your feet, stay out of tall grass when not in a chase
    • Billy: Look behind you, avoid taking paths that force you into a straight line
    • Wraith: Use your eyes instead of your ears, or run Spine Chill
    • Nurse: Break LOS, run in a straight line when she isnt charging a blink(she's slower than you at base)
    • Myers: Break LOS as much as possible, delay him tiering up for as long as you can. Myers captilalizes on bad teams much more than most killers, so keep that in mind. Don't rely on the post-hit speed boost as he might have T3 at 99%
    • Huntress: Break LOS, be careful about dropping pallets/vaulting when she has hatchets
    • Hag: Watch your feet, crouch over traps to avoid triggering them, a flashlight will reveal/destroy them
    • Doctor: Lockers are your friends, stay out of his terror radius or get in a locker if 60 seconds have passed since his last shock blast. Drop the pallet/vault a bit earlier to counter the shock
    • Clown: Drop the pallet early if he gasses you, theres plenty to go around thanks to his nonexistant map pressure
    • Freddy: Stay awake as much as possible, either by skill checks(risky) or going to a clock(safer, plus gives a 30 second grace period). Drop dream pallets/break dream snares as you travel to weaken his control, drop the pallet early if he drops snares mid-chase
    • Legion: Spilt up, his power is much weaker if he cant hit all of you. Don't forget to mend
    • Bubba: Use windows as much as possible, as he can't break them. If somebody gets hooked in the basement, they are to be considered lost and you should rush the gens.
    • Pig: Use your eyes or run spine chill to detect her in crouch, watch out for her roar. The trap is entirely harmless until a gen pops, so theres plenty of time to get it off. It also pauses the timer in a chase or on the ground
    • Plague: Depends on your looping abilty. If you are good at running an M1 killer around, dont bother cleansing, UNLESS the other survivors cleanse. Keep in mind that if all the pools get corrupted, they all get cleaned and the plague gets nothing
    • Ghostface: Again, use your eyes. Don't rely on the TR or Red Stain, and don't bother with Revealing him. Just run as fast and far as possible, he has no mobility.
    • Demogorgon: Literally use your ears, every single one of his actions have a global audio queue. Remember to look behind you to see if his face is opening to juke a shred. NEVER vault a window if the Demo's face is open, you WILL get hit if they are good. Rememeber that while you are in contact with an open portal, you will not hear the Demogorgon's Terror Radius.
    • Oni: Heal as soon as possible, preferably somewhere far away from objectives so the Oni won't have easy access to the resulting blood orbs. NEVER do a gen while injured, you will make the Oni's job FAR easier
    • Deathslinger: Use your eyes instead of your ears, his TR is microscopic, especially since any good Slinger will have Monitor. Avoid going in a straight line, look behind you, and drop the pallet early
    • Pyramid Head: Mixture of Hag and Demo. His trails are harmless if you crouch over them, and his M2 is easily dodged if you look behind you. Avoid dropping pallets or vaulting windows if his sword is in the ground. Also keep in mind that Torment has no effect on normal gameplay. The only downsides are leaving a short-lived trail whenever you move, and being able to be caged/morid on death hook. Most PHs will not cage unless its late game due to removing the possiblity of saving the third hook, along with not being able to see cages.

Just wanted to correct something. With Plague, if all the pools get used, they DO become normal cleansing pools again...but the Plague also immediately gets corrupt purge. You said she doesnt get ANYTHING, which is false.

    ugh. thank you.😂

sorry for wasting everyones time. makes sense now. Now I know what I am aiming for here.

You're fine. All you have to do if you NEED gold and not iri is make sure you get downed at least 1 time before escaping. If you havent been downed yet, maybe wait at the very edge of the exit area before escaping to let the killer down you and crawl out.

  • @hinoutoumei said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449254#Comment_1449254

    what chart is that.

"Your goal is to gain as few points as possible for this Emblem:

    • 0 points: starting value
    • 1 point: added for being put into the Dying State
    • 999 points: added if the time you are alive is less than 300 seconds (5 minutes)
    • 899 points: added if the time you are alive is less than 540 seconds (9 minutes), but exceeds 300 seconds
    • 799 points: added if the time you are alive exceeds 540 seconds

    Special Condition:

    • If you escape unbroken (without having been downed once) and the time you were alive exceeds 540 seconds, you will automatically be awarded an Iridescent Emblem

    "

i'm reading the wiki. please direct me to more updated information. thank you. 😀

Look between what you just copy pasted and the emblem pictures. You'll see the 2 lines I just showed you.

  • @hinoutoumei said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449218#Comment_1449218

according to the wiki, you get points based off how long you have been alive and how many times put into the dying state, with the goal to get as few points as possible.

it stops counting at 799 (540 seconds alive). so even if you escaped at this point and had never been put in the dying state the max you get is

    799 points.

    irridescent requires 0 points.

you get 0 points if you escape the trial and have never been downed once.

Therefore, it's impossible to get gold. Based off this information as soon as you exit the trial you either get 799 points for escaping. If you have been downed once you get a bronze if you escape (800-899). If you have not been downed you instantly jump from 799 to 0 and get granted an irridescent. It should not be possible based off this info to get a silver or gold medal in this category..

    though i'm assuming ppl do.

So, my original question remains. If this information is still accurate..

what is a gold unbroken album.

I feel like you missed a line on that chart.

Escaping a Trial without being downed results in an Iridescent quality, while being downed one or more times results in a Gold quality.

If you die in a trial, the emblem quality is based on the amount of time you were alive, however, the highest quality you will receive in this manner is Silver.

  • @anarchy753 said:

Gold is escaping but having been downed at least once. Iridescent is escaping without being downed.

Had a game once where I got gold after DYING... dunno what happened there.

I used it abit while I was lvling up my PH and didnt have alot of perk options yet. Was kinda lucky in that I got it to hit 5 stacks 2 games in a row, but I was also just doing REALLY well both of those games b4 DH kicked in, so really...it was just a nail in the coffin. The survivors I was playing in were actually really nice about it.

Clearly not as if you can see from the picture.

The biggest key on indoor maps for this addon is that the survivors have less chances to get around the blood orbs. Paths are blocked by them and they have to absorb them. This addon on cornfield is pretty bad in comparison. Still good as you will always see people healing or working on gens while injured, but not as omnipotent as on indoor maps

I had someone use a coldwind offering on me earlier running this build and sent us to rotten fields...

I’ve seen this before. It’s what made me want to play as Oni. Monto also did one on Lery’s and it’s so funny just seeing auras constantly. I think he did his as more of a ninja build as she had more stealth perks equipped. I just love how many ways there is to play different killers. It’s like when you get the ‘walking’ nurse as it just makes people act stupid. 😂

Nurse doesnt walk...Her feet never even touch the ground.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

I love when this happens. I feel like Oni collecting blood orbs, FEED ME MORE SALT.

I remember winning against a 4-man sabo squad and after the match two of them messaged me saying I was and I quote “a noob killer” so I replied saying “but you lost, so what does that make you?” And I got crickets.

I love how they don’t realise that they’re just insulting theirselves. 🤦🏻‍♂️😭

Last time I ran into a sabo squad like that... I just happened to be playing as Infinite T3 Myers with a slug build on.

Those add-ons seem so fun. I really want to try playing as Oni but I feel like he’s gonna be really hard to control on PS4. I might start spending some BP on him and take him for a test drive.

I love burning a Hawkins offering when I play as Legion. That map is incredibly annoying for them. 😂

This setup is centered around playing him as just an M1 killer really. Hawkins has alot of crows and LOS blockers, so you injure everyone and keep em injured. The purple addon makes em drop more orbs while the red addon makes em show their aura as they collect orbs. Then you just kinda pop out at corners to hit them. Eventually the stage gets filled with so many orbs that you'll constantly be seeing everyone.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Afaik the modifier is 9999 (99.99%) which means congratulations you're tonight's unluckiest person ever. I've always made jokes that it'd happen to me but that's literally a 0.01% chance.

I guess... I started off with 4 offerings and another one got wasted when a survivor used a coldwind offering sending us to rotten fields.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

This happened to me last year so I don’t think it’s a new thing. It’s just rare. I’m pretty sure the map offering increases your chances of getting the map by 99% so unfortunately you drew the 1% short straw.

Kinda was a big letdown since so much of the build I used revolves around playing similar to scratched mirror Myers as opposed to the normal Oni playstyle. Decided to run this for abit since Oni's power likes to bug out (which it did on this match too).

You overestimate the DBD forums, in most cases this thread would be a joke, but its not.

It reads out like an army recruitment ad. This is 100% a joke.

  • and then we get crossplay with them, lol

  • @ALostPuppy said:

Demo is really good, and he's fine the way he is. If you wanna change his perks and add-ons, sure, but his abilities don't need changing in the slightest. I don't want another buff/nerf situation like with the Billy one coming up where he gets a slightly faster chainsaw but also has a massive drawback that suddenly makes them really lame to play both as and against.

I second this. If they wanna buff up his perks and rework his addons...that would be sweet. I know currently there is barely any addons that affect his Shred and the ones that do are fairly minimal. Would be cool to see some addons give extra shred range or something.

  • Feel like someone just lost to Pig. He wants the helmets to remain completely pointless unless the survivor decides to activate it themselves, They get 6 minutes to disarm it after they choose to activate it and they know immediately which box has the correct key as soon as they get the helmet to begin with.

I can copy paste it for you if you want:

I'm red ranks on both sides and my killer queues have skyrocketed while my survivor queues are instant.

Ergo, killer's aren't providing a "service", for the past month survivors have been the ones getting insta-queues and allowing killers to get matches.

The entire post is one giant joke, no one is complaining or as you put it "blaming the game". I'm sorry you didnt understand this was just humor.

  • @BongRips4Wraith said:

Played against a Spirit yesterday and lost a 50/50 at a pallet, because let's be real, there's no way you can know which side of the pallet she's going to be on. Feels very uninteresting to lose to that.

It reminds me of that saying: "I only need to be lucky once. You need to be lucky every time." Because once you're injured, all mindgames are off the table and you are bound to go down.

Luckily, I don't face her very often. It's mostly been Legion, Huntress, Ghostface and Deathslinger this week.

If Spirit is trying to mindgame a dropped pallet with fake phasing (assuming she hasnt JUST phased in which case its obvious the ability is on CD, dont fall for it), you kinda gotta play what I call Schrodinger's Spirit. You assume she is both phasing and not phasing and pick the best option for them both. Typically thats to walk away from the pallet away from Spirit's husk and go for a window if theres one nearby.

    Pretty much.

That said though that extra 16 seconds can sometimes make a big difference, especially after closing the hatch.

For sure, you'll still end up killing the last guy unless its a map like Lerys where the doors are guarenteed to be on opposites ends of the map with no LOS possible. It just sucks that they made it weaker against groups trying to help the last survivor...while the last survivor is still probably gonna die if caught in that situation (unless they're the obsession).

  • The whole reason they nerfed the perk to begin with was to give the last survivor a chance incase they didnt get the hatch. I doubt they'll add anything to this perk which would go against that idea.

  • @Avocet said:

I'm still working on my build to fit my playstyle but currently it's: I'm All Ear, Pop, Surveillance, Monitor & Abuse.

I'm so mad I was on hiatus and missed the Legion Rift cosmetics. I'll probably get Susie's outfit in @LordGlint 's screenshot though. Currently running with default Julie. I hope there's at least something for Legion in the new Rift.

Im currently using the mask and knife that was in this past rift, I just happened to already have that screenshot from awhile back is all.

    20200715015315_1.jpg

  • What kind of power WOULD you suggest then, because anymore I just hear a spree of complaints about everything a killer's power can possibly be.

  • The perk is mostly good for letting you know which perks the killer is running so you can avoid wasting further tokens against that 1 perk. Unless the killer has more than 3 ways to track auras... 3 tokens should be plenty.

  • 20200210023107_1.jpg

The goal here is to keep everyone injured and use surveillance to know which gens theyre working on while injured. As the game goes, they'll end up healing less and less due to dying light and they'll also have used up the handful of pallets around each gen. Its just important not to spend too long in a chase and use that frenzy to injure everyone again if you see that people have started healing.

  • Had a nice group the other night. I was practicing Nurse who I am really no good at and barely got anything accomplished by the time it was down to the final gen. Rather than cranking out the last one... They all ran out into the open and let the game get prolonged abit more. I actually managed to turn things around and got a 3k. Hmm good to know.

I love it it when I get survivors RQ when I’m Clown (read that sentence twice)

Then I’ll get messages from them about how trash Clown is and that I should play a “real” killer.

Had one of those while playing Bubba awhile back. Completely DEMOLISHED a team on wreckers yard, then get someone in postgame chat saying I should play a killer that actually takes skill. One of his own teammates chimed in to tell him to STFU.

Sidenote...notice that the killers who "takes skill" are also the ones getting nerfed? Not exactly giving me a reason to play them.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Because it’s YOUR fault they lost.

    Never theirs.

Sheesh... like duh, stop being so trash that you win!!!

Well... thats technically true since I'm the one that hit them, lol. Fun fact, you can see OoO auras while teleporting. Since you have undetectable during that time+a little bit after, you can see auras SUPER close.

  • Legion+Pig. The increased number of survivors would actually make chaining Frenzy hits as Legion even EASIER and since survivors are constantly stuck having to mend, theyd have less time to get the beartraps off. I could see alot of head snaps.

  • @SCP_FOR_DBD said:

  • I have fun with him. Get practice with his Shred and I'd recommend using rat liver, which is a brown addon so you could use it every game if you want. It increases your speed while using "of the abyss" so you become just as fast as a survivor. This way you have plenty of time to line up a hit without worrying about losing ground and often times survivors will swerve alot allowing you to close in and just M1 them if need be. Getting good at Shred should be a priority and can land you hits you otherwise wouldnt get on killers like Myers.

    Hahaha.

If someone wants my attention so bad in a game that they want to chase me around, try to cut me off and block me when I'm trying to chase other survivors, and click flashlights in my face repeatedly, then guess what? They have my full and undivided attention. I won't pay attention to anyone else and I won't leave their sight. :)

Reminds me of a Billy game I had once. I went to chainsaw someone down, only for a freshly unhooked teammate to bodyblock for em. I then decided...F it. I let them have a 2nd chainsaw immediately after. They DSed me and got a 3rd chainsaw as soon as the stun was up to which they immediately DCed. If you wanna take a hit for a teammate, thats up to you but you should be prepared to get "tunneled" if you wanna throw yourself in my face.

  • Depending on what character I'm playing...I might just facecamping a OoO and completely throw the match. I had one case where I got one while playing Huntress, who is HORRIBLY countered by it due to her small TR. I just put them in the basement and stood at the stairs, giving a little nod to any survivor who would show up.

does it really matter sweaty players are sweaty players it will always be a thing, they will always find a way to get an advantage, plus i mean killers mod the chase music so its harder to hear to help find survivors, no one freaked out about that

Altering game files is already deemed as cheating though, theres no need to specify "modding sound files" exclusively. Just because you start calling players "sweaty" doesnt mean we should just overlook unintended advantages. The people with wall hacks and aimbots are ALSO pretty sweaty but no one is defending them. No one is claiming "cheating is always gonna be a thing so lets leave cheaters alone".
