They're still general perks in the game at the moment
At the moment, yes. They all were just announced that they won't be for long. Buffing them right after that announcement screams cash grab.
-
If anything, buffing perks as soon as they are no longer general perks is a BAD time for buffs, not a REASON for buffs.

That was never my claim when i posted the numbers, i posted them because another guy said
"There are no mass amounts of cheaters."and I think 64k i a big number of cheaters. If only that was 64k cheaters... That's 64k accounts. Since they don't hardware ban and simply ban the account, you'll find the same cheaters just making a new account. Having your account banned stings for NORMAL players, but the cheater with speed hacks and Xray vision doesn't care that his perks aren't available anymore.
-
I'm so confused... What perks is a nurse SUPPOSE to choose then? They've already removed alot of perk selection by making her blinks not basic attacks, and Nurse obviously isn't going to use perks like Bamboozle or brutal strength. At this point is just feels like any selection of perks that actually makes sense for her will get complained about.
-

But there have to be at least 64k cheaters before they can ban 64k people for it, thats my whole point.
Not saying there arnt alot of cheaters, I'm just saying that doesn't necessarily mean there is MORE than before. Just shows they are cracking down on more.

No??
Then please explain the numbers here, it shows the numbers of banned cheaters from 2016-2022 (officially released by BHVR and you can find it here if you scroll down to the bottom of the page : https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/369 ).
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/20V71W45H7BI/image.png
I would claim that i see farily the same ammount as i did in 2021 and 2022 (and that's only the obvious ones).
That could simply show the devs cracking down more, rather than there being more cheaters.

ST is infact back. The characters are in the store and there's new cosmetics available.

What do you mean?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/GJOO2RSWJB0I/image.png
Match 26 was literally I could kill other 3 at 2 Gens left but within my rules, I cant 3rd hook them because I cant 2nd hook Gabriel
The very first thing you typed was that you ran into issues of not being able to hook anyone if you can't get the 4th person's first hook. This implies that you are ignoring 3 people to hunt down that last guy.
The term "tunneling" comes from tunnel vision. It's kinda been skewed significantly in usage now to mean removing someone from the game early. Originally though it just meant investing way too much time in 1 person.
That's why I find this ironic. Your anti-tunneling rule has you get tunnel vision on ONLY chasing that 1 guy until you down him and ignoring everyone else who you've already hooked.
-
I find it ironic that your no tunneling rule means after 3 hooks, you hyperfocus 1 person while ignoring the other 3.

They're not wrong though (least HugTechLover isn't). Also did you give anything other than a bitter comment to the post? And before you say anything about "X main" we play everyone but Nurse as killer and play survivor just as much.
For the post, the point is to have fun and verity. Playing the same thing over and over gets dull. Obviously some groups are going to spoil anything and everything....(side note, probably should blur out the names, we hear thats something in the rules)
The names are character names, so nothing needs to be blurred

How fast is 150% gen regression is comparing to normal gen kick regression without any perks? @Caiman
Normal gen regression is roughly 1/4 the speed of normal gen repair speeds.

I hope not, trickster is one of the most insufferable killers in the game, these changes amplify that even further, as if solo q wasn't insufferable enough
To play as he will be more fun, but even then it doesn't take away that his power takes barely any skill at all and is pretty bland overall still, which I dont enjoy all that much
Do you play as him?

@KaTo1337 said:
Tbh it doesnt affect Legion or Slinger more than now. Currently, survivors have the speed boost for free, now with deep wound.
Its the same for these 2 killers.
Only if you choose to chase someone with deep wounds. Unlike injured state, survivors can't just STAY in deep wounds and go about their business. At most, the one person you are currently pressuring will be in DW while everyone else is forced to mend.
Legion for example can very well FF several ppl, who will end up mending and thus not keeping the speed boost. If he finds them later on while injured... they won't have the MFT speed unlike currently. Deathslinger likewise is only gonna be chasing someone in DW if he shoots a healthy survivor. If he does a normal M1, then shoots... no DW.
Point being, even for these 2... they are likely gonna be chasing MFT speed survivors less often.
-
I tend to 2 hook ppl who use BPS or similar event offerings if I can tell who used it. I'll still play the game and give chase, but when it comes to downing them... I'll just give em a little nod rather than get a 3rd hook. After their teammates are all dead, then can go ahead and go about their business.

Some of his addons do sound rather concerning. I also have a bad feeling that Trickster will be the new Skull Merchant. Survivors will hate this killer so much they immediately give up before anything even happens. Obviously, I hope that won't happen but seeing as Trickster is already quite nasty to play against and he might become as strong a camper as Bubba with this change, I am worried.
I feel like comparing him to SM isn't quite right. Ppl DC against skull merchant to dodge a super long game. I feel like it would be more akin to when ppl would DC against a nurse after hearing that scream claiming she has no counterplay.

i don't think he'll get played at all because their changes are not making better ranged killer. they're making him a better m1 killer with side-grade range option. It is like. here's some ranged ability but it is not really good so here, you can be 4.6 m/s because your not really good type thing.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3575377#Comment_3575377
if you m1 with him now, you'll be m1 even more after update as 4.6 m/s.
I just wanted to see what he was like, had no plans to become a Trickster master right b4 an update. Plus the 0 recoil after update will make it EASIER, not HARDER to throw knives.

DH is still a gamble, only now you'll be losing out on two perks when your ping decides to hiccup.
Only way I can see it being reliable is with OTR and you purposefully don't touch anything for 60s after getting unhooked with the intention of baiting it.
True, but before ppl weren't using it since it would turn off your MFT. Now that MFT isn't an exhaustion perk, you can pair it with anything. MFT+ sprint burst isn't a joke. I was just mentioning DH since it gives you more situations to proc deep wounds than bodyblocking after getting unhooked or something. It's kinda like how Nemesis helps prop up PWYF. Sure, you can get PWYF value from finding your obsession... but Nemesis makes it easier to get that value.
-
I feel like Trickster's changes should be looked at as a whole rather than parts. The blade changes causes him to run out of blades faster, which gets offset with him being able to M1 more and main event more.
-

Abusing them how?
If you mean leaving chase and going to the void, it isn't an instant port in and if you hit them the broken status tells you were they went. The void isn't so magical place where survivors can't be hit. There is no pallets and 2 hooks.
I haven't played the event much, but I feel like the only blaring obvious one is Nurse. Since killers can't use powers in the void, she simply can't catch up.

The fact that so many people think that tunneling is "playing normally" is really quite depressing.
The 2nd half of the post was complaining that killers would attack him rather than meme. THATS what ppl are referring to as "playing normally". The idea that killers should refrain from attacking survivors because of an event is pretty lame.
-
I still don't understand why consoles don't have kb/m support yet. Why is it that playstation supports a freaking VR headset before it supports KB/M? It seems like a pretty simple thing. You can plug in a keyboard to type with, but not to play with.
-
Your mad that killers are playing the game normally instead of just forgetting how to attack anytime there's an event?

@[Deleted User] said:
I get their reason, that they want new players to look at add-ons but at the same times if you already have a P1 survivor you should just have auto buy on P0 survivors.
If that's the case, they could just have ALL addons listed, and just have a 0 in the amount slot. This way you can read what they all do as soon as you get the character.

I don't disagree with you, just saying that it has been stated by them. Personally i think this could all be solved if they change the rules for crows to basically be like.
You start to get crows after 2.5 minutes unless you do one of the following:
- Get into a chase
- Get injured
- Get downed
- Do a conspicuous action for 10 seconds
2.5 minutes should be plenty of time to account for things like OTR, corrupt intervention etc, and requiring a conspicuous action for 10 seconds means you can't just tap a gen and keep hiding in a locker for 2.5 minutes and repeat.
You can start cleansing a dull totem, then quit after abit. This way you avoid crows and give 0 clues about your location by avoiding being near a worked on gen.

I saw a lot of people sharing screenshots like this on Twitter. It's possible to get a lot like this if you keep doing the event objectives. You mentioned some farming too so looks like it contributed to it. I haven't gotten this much yet though LOL.
I went and filled the category for the event, which isn't something I would ordinarily max otherwise. I wanted to get my last hook from one of the survivors who used the offering... They kept running to a corner with a hook deadzone, leading to me just saying screw it and bleeding them out.

I saw a DC Bill start opening the exit gates. Got about 95% open, then got spooked by the killers TR and ran away. Killer found it and got the 4th kill.

Not saying I don't belive you but its strange how many killers always have problems like this when they want something to be changed:
Epilepsy attacks because of flashlights
Feeling dizzy or sick seeing the post hit animation
Now is autism if they hear too many notifications.
Maybe you are telling the truth. But the community here lies so mucho to get what they want that I am more than skeptical.
Why would anyone be against what is essentially a QOL issue rather than a balance issue? Your comment confuses me. Why would you object to any of what you said, even if there's NOT medical issues involved?
Even if EVERYONE lied about epilepsy and motion sickness, what would be the argument for KEEPING things that make the game feel bad and doesn't affect balance?

@Aven_Fallen said:
"People just don't want to put the time and effort into learning how to go against new things I feel."
Can you enlighten me how I can learn to go against Ultimate Weapon? I mean, sure, I can go into a locker when I see the Killer approaching a Locker. But most of the time you dont see that the Killer activates Ultimate Weapon, so you will just scream when the Terror Radius reaches you.
And I dont count "Run Calm Spirit" as "learning how to go against".
The thing with Ultimate Weapon is that it is without a doubt the best tracking ability. And when we look at the counters, Aura-Reads have more counters. Ultimate Weapon has one - Calm Spirit. A Perk which hinders yourself in certain situation.
It also really pairs well with Dead Mans Switch. Which had counters before, it was used with Pain Resonance and you can stand up from a Gen (granted, nowadays you have to do that early, so you probably waste time which you can spend repairing), but with Ultimate Weapon, you will just hear the TR and Dead Mans Switch will trigger since you scream.
You can also not really compare it to Doctors Static Blast, since it is better than the Static Blast when it comes to tracking. It lingers for 30 seconds and has a 30 second cooldown, so the activation timing is roughly the same, but as I said, it lingers and it does not really give a warning, while you can hear Doctors Blast charging. And this is a Perk, which should weigh less than the ability of a Killer. And with those 30 seconds you can scan a HUGE portion of the Map.
On top of it, it adds Blindness. Which is fine, but should not be ignored, since it hard-counters Perks like Windows of Opportunity, which is the most used Survivor-Perk.
IMO if Ultimate Weapon would not linger for 30 seconds but just trigger when opening a locker or linger for a small amount of time (5 seconds on Tier 3), it would still be very strong and a very good alternative to Aura Read-Perks).
UW is a tracking perk which alerts survivors once they are found, unlike most other tracking perks. Simply start running ASAP, and it turns into a huge time sink to actually close the 32 meters of distance. Killers with smaller TR might be able to get closer before alerting you, but that also means it's taking them longer to find someone.
Point being, while yes... the perk is pretty good at FINDING people, it still requires follow up to do anything. It's like how just because Doc might get ppl with his blast, doesn't mean those ppl are immediately helpless. Unless a killer has a movement skill to help close distance, no one wants to takes a chase with a survivor who is running away already at that kind of distance.

its a corner of the map if there was only 1 hook around that would suck
Expectally since hooks perma break on sacrifice. Would make a giant safe zone that ppl would FOR SURE run to.

Yeah that's a good point. A similar thing happened when people pointed out flashlight clicking was an issue for epilepsy and they reverted the wiping animation update when it caused motion sickness. And they are adding an FOV slider for that same reason.
So they do care about accessibility and hopefully this thread does get their attention.
Speaking of flashlights, they also changed how the screen looks after being blinded so it wasn't blinding ppl IRL too, lol. It use to give you a bright white screen to stare at instead of the reddish one we have now.

Yikes... that's rough my guy...
Sadly not possible to police people's behaviour on it... the only way to stop it realistically is have an accessibility option to control notification noise volume I suppose.
Maybe audio engineers might be able to research into something like that... Sony has been researching HRTF profiles to enhance audio and make audio more immersive. I imagine the same technology could be used to dampen extreme noise changes... not sure 🤔🤔🤔
Honestly, I'm surprised there's not a cooldown or something for notifications from the same source. They gave Spies from the shadows a tiny cooldown for basically this very reason. Why do I need to know the same locker got opened and closed 37 times?

Nightfall -needs- to be really dark, otherwise what's the point of it?
In his PTB it wasn't that dark and it was literally pointless.
Nightfall acts as a Dredge buff rather than just blinding everyone. Even if they adjusted the visual aspect, it affecting the killer teleport is still a positive thing. Maybe they could buff the time between nightfalls in exchange for not causing survivors to be unable to see anything. Give more super dredge time, ya know?

Unlike most people on the forums, I mostly play the side I complain about. Since everyone is so desperate to defend their favorite broken killer, I'll leave some sugesstions.
Nurses lunge range is reduced by 75%. This would make the Nurse have to be more accurate, and would make doding easier.
Nurses fatigue is increased to 1.5 second per blink. This would allow you to get away easier, even after a hit.
Nurse cannot blink through pallets. This would require her to think about whats in her way, instead of just blinking & winning.
Nurses blinks recharge every 4 seconds.
These changes wouldn't "gut" her, but would make her playable against.
I will respond to some of the posts here:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3561739#Comment_3561739
Personally, I would love to see SWF gutted, but it can't be... it would massively reduce the playerbase.
Map-wide Bond along with kindered, then nerf survivors from there? Of course killers like Nurse, Blight would have to be slightly toned down before this. Maybe even basekit map-wide deadlock...
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3561725#Comment_3561725
Yep, Nurse requires much less skill than Blight, Wesker, and even Ghost face, but still preforms better than them.
Increasing her fatigue or recharge time anymore than it currently is would make her unable to close distance to a survivor who simply holds W. Her average mobility would end up dropping below 4.0m/s.
-
This killer has been nerfed repeatedly. It SOUNDS like you want her to be basically unplayable. You're giving 0 suggestions and only whining, which is of no use to anyone.

For end game it should be insta death if you are on the ground for 30 seconds with no healthy survivors in game.
Myers and Oni's powers heavily encourage slugging, so seeing it from them is pretty expected.

Plague and Spirit. Either you stay sick and give easy downs to Spirit, or you give Plague her red puke, which is brutal against multiple people.
