I feel like alot of this comes from going from games with semi-competent teammates to getting teams full of potatoes. Not making excuses, but rather stating a possible cause to the crankiness.
-
Im still wondering what the 4th killer with a ranged attack is
-
The Game Map, while benificial in the fact that she can switch from top and bottom floor on the fly, also offers several advantages to you as survivor. The place is FULL of LOS breakers, allowing you to just run in random patterns and make tracking you, especially on the lower floor...damn near impossible. On the top floor, you have the advantage of being able to run at the nurse to screw with her blink distance. NORMALLY nurses would counter this move by looking downward so they wont blink as far, however since theres a floor below you...You get the idea.

@Tzeentchling9 As an OG Freddy main, when I heard the news of a rework...I was skeptical. I figured SURE, he could use afew tweeks...I just hope they dont go overboard and COMPLETELY scrap what he does. AND...here we are.
-
Ive actually been considering lvling Quentin lately so I cn get Pharmacy and farm Medkits. Being able to just bring a medkit every game instead of worrying about hunting down a teammate or bringing selfcare...is nice. Been doing it for the past week now but I also fear Ill kill off my hoard of medkits I stashed away.
-
@The_Daydreamer Farming matches in general arnt considered a problem by the developers, its when people are FORCED to farm that its an issue. If people wanna restart a game and agree to all use BPS, how is this any different? And how is it a problem.
-
Didnt realize perks designed to slow the game down were considered Toxic. Is kicking the gen in general "Toxic" or ONLY if their using game slowing perks like overcharge and pop goes the weasel. Do you think that MAYBE ppl use these perks weather or not they see your name pop up in their lobbys? Like MAYBE someone DIDNT go "Oh, i was GOING to use monstrous shrine, but Maj33y is here, so lets REALLY screw with him and use Thanatophobia instead".
-
@Tzeentchling9 nah...I think we should still go with the OG of "Still plenty of time for Freddy to get "Freddy"ed
-
@starkiller1286 How would it be toxic if everyone involved agrees to it? Its not harassing anyone.
-
They already have given free DLCs, just not ones of your choice.
-
If a survivor wants to rejoin a lobby with the killer, and the killer is ok with it...I dont see any problem.
-
Typically as Doc, the increased TR is really only beneficial while OUTSIDE of a chase, therefore M&A is really doing you a disservice. You dont want to stay in your treatment mode while inside of a chase for longer than necessary due to the slower movement speed.
-
@TheGameZpro3 Not sure if it actually WAS in the game, but while on paper with numbers it might be possible to heal as fast as the killer can hit...It couldn't actually happen due to positioning. Between 3 teammates and the killer, you'd be surrounding 1 person in an attempt to heal them. If this was truly a thing, all the killer would have to do is hit another target. The survivor team wouldn't have time for everyone to get into position fast enough to heal the NEW guy.
-
@NuclearBurrito its ok mate, happens to all of us
-
You cant have 3 ppl healing 1 person at the same time.
-
@Boss Reminds me of the survivor rule book on the new samination vid.
-
Killer gameplay is SO boring. Litterally ALL you do is click twice on survivors. SOME killers make this even MORE dull by only making you click ONCE.
-
Um...excuse me? Wheres my other 2k BP? Why do I ONLY get 30k?
-
This whole list of trying to point out similarities while being SUPER vague about them is laughable. Lemme join in.
1.Number of killers with the intention of KILLING survivors-16
2.Number of killers who can move-16
3.Number of killers who use a weapon of some sort...16 (Im including hag since Chuck Norris has showed us bare hands can be weapons of the most lethal variety)
-
Looks like it. Unlike someone who 99% their exhaustion, this person didnt have to pause first to get their speedboost.
-
If your just going to summarize the entirety of survivor gameplay as just holding M1, couldnt you just as easily over simplify killer gameplay as just PUSHING m1? Afterall, searching, hiding, scouting a location and all that... Thats not a thing...just M1.
-
@SpyMature Even without an indoor map, you can do some good plays with the crouch. I had a game on Shelter woods where I kicked a gen with Surveillance that was in the middle of afew large rocks, walked away and saw the gen aura turn yellow almost immediately. I crouched and used the rocks as a LOS blocker between me and the survivor I knew was there to get a gen grab.
-
Love how the title says its a "little nerf".
-
After having so long where killers COULDNT close the hatch and instead had to just search the whole map for a survivor who no longer had to work on gens, which was like finding a needle in a haystack...The hatch closing was a huge improvement. Dont gotta deal with hatch standoffs either, so yay.
-
@TheBean While that would help alot, theres plenty of things that can be used normally WITHOUT exploiting. The current Sprint burst issue is an example of a perk that can be used 100% legit. Also, if you remember it use to be a problem that flashlight macros could crash games. The solution wasn't to get rid of flashlights.
-
I feel these are on different lvls. In this, im not comparing them to HOW gamebreaking they were, but simply what you did for it. Saying that a specific addon is MORE gamebreaking than a specific perk, so using that perk isnt THAT bad and shouldnt receive as bad of a punishment is cherry picking.
That being said, things like the current Sprint burst glitch actually requires you to do more than just equip the perk. Using sprint burst in itself is in no way punishable, whereas using the glitch in which you have to push certain buttons...should be.
-
As far as struggle phase goes, Im in favor of simply removing it altogether. Just make it like phase 1, except without the option of the 4%. Ive rebound my struggle to my scroll wheel, so it doesnt suck AS much, but a random lagspike can still get me killed.
-
calm spirit affects unnerving presence?
-
I always felt the grunts thing was kinda dumb. They should just make it 100% silent.
-
That with unnerving presence
-
Good luck hitting that DS skillcheck now, lol.
-
No matter which side I'm playing, I always try to keep the endgame chat clean with a GG. You can be "toxic" INGAME all ya want, with teabaging or facecamping but...When the game is over, theres no reason to spit venom.
-
What if it was an effect? What if either huntress lullaby or the Doctor's madness had a 50% chance of making the pointer go in the opposite direction?
-
@Crazewtboy "Looping" in general isnt boring, but on maps like Gas Heaven, where you have giant open areas you can CLEARLY see over...Its completely braindead. You can see everything a mile away, and theres no skill taking place of running in a circle. Jungle gyms can be gamed on both sides, but the 2 ft garbage piles with a pallet... Completely breaks any tension since they offer perfect view from long distance as well as just being time wasters instead of engaging play.
-
@Crazewtboy Never said it WAS fun. Turning your mind off cuz all you have to do is hold a button and keep an eye out for a killer you can easily spot on the other side of the map over abunch of piles of 2 ft garbage is boring. Thats why Im refering to the jumpscare myers games where you have to constantly be vigilant about every doorway around you and be ready to move at a moments notice.
-
Practically ANY hooksave while using borrowed time would be considered a safe hook save though. Youd just have ppl farming each other to get their MoM. At least with the current state, it incentivizes body blocking, which could help the person being carried to wiggle off. Ppl use to body block like this all the time before mettle of man was ever in the game, dunno why the idea about it is somehow different.
-
It doesnt even have to be a matter of slow survivors are forced to hide in bushes though. ATM with many pallet loops, theres 0 mindgame at all. You can clearly see over the 2 ft pile of rubbish your looping around. Compare those to instances of a typical scratched mirror myers game on Lerys where EVERY room you walk into could result in a surprise. Running in circles around garbage is...boring. Those jumpscare myers games are typically fun for everyone involved.
-
@purebalance7 If it happens when the killer is doing something, like attacking... Couldnt that be simply due to the extra action being more taxing on the system? You waiting in a lobby isnt as taxing on a PS4 as loading and tracking an entire map as well as each player's actions. Point being, lag doesnt always come from the internet connection. Can also come from the system its running on being a potato, and some maps/killers REALLY ramp up the strain.
-
How bout no...
-
If your going to say BBQ is the incentive not to camp, couldn't you just as easily say MYC is the incentive not to tunnel?
-
@ClogWench The difference would be that those attacks are even recognized by the game as being different. You can just float up to someone as nurse and hit M1, or you can land ontop of them with a blink and hit them, which would reward more points. The 2 hits are abit different, even if they both involve M1.
-
Also, your asking the devs to develop an AI. Thats kinda a heavy load.
-
@CoffengMin you actually can remove afew killer powers, like a trappers traps with a toolbox
-
@Boss So am I right in assuming you commented based off the title alone?
-
@Boss Maybe, lol. I DID avoid writing a book for an opening text though, and I think I was quite clear.
-
You mean hitting survivors on the hook? No... although it is abit childish. Just shows whoever your throwing the game to facecamp that they REALLY got under your skin.
-
@Boss But the initial question was about the term itself. I even asked people to think OUTSIDE the genre, so i dunno why ppl keep revolving around DBD and other asymmetrical games.
