Her old self was incredibly annoying and braindead.

All you had to do was placing down a drone and reap rewards.

They enter the zone, Lock On and Exposed almost right away. No crouching or standing still to counter it.

They disable the drone, free injure and Claw Trap.

Almost all of her power was composed of passive abilities.

But if this counterplay of crouching or standing still would have been implemented she could stay the same?

I swear cooldown for breaking pallet is stupidest thing we have ever had in this game. I have 0 idea why killer should be punished for doing basic part of gameplay loop and I hate the fact that devs had no idea how to balance Kaneki created such precedent. I hope we never ever see this "cooldown for breaking" feature on any killer.

Also I don't get why we act like Blight is the only killer who can dash at you after pallet breaking. Wesker? No complains. Chucky? Vecna? Dracula? Singularity? Naaah. Spirit even has addon for power recharge for pallet break, but I don't see complains either. Blight? Ah yeah, it's completely different.

If you want to nerf Blight, make him 4.4 is fair. If you want to make him much weaker, destroy his speed addons, because basekit Blight is nowhere near S tier and speed is the only thing helps him to be viable in most loops.

But, once again, if you want to nerf S tiers, let's do something with S+ tier first – swf.

Are we really trying now to compare Chuckys Dash with Blights Dash?

  • DbD is just a tag game with Horror Charakters if you want it that way.

This would need some thoughts and could be implemented well.

It "could" work but I am afraid it will get abused to witch hunt killers.

As seen with Skull Merchant. Ofcourse she was strong and annoying but most of the players had no clue how she even worked.

Now people are demanding that ghoul gets the Skull Merchant treatment.

Imagine if some "toxic" content creator calls to arms to ban Springtrap all the time (Not because he is OP but he doesn´t like FnaF) Now a big chunk of his followers do his bidding and Springtraps are in endless quque times.

This community has a big problem and I don´t say it to sound evil or smart but many of Survivors and Killers can´t think on their own. And I will give you examples for these.

99gates to avoid bloodwarden. There was a time where bloodwarden was a threat but in todays Meta you barely see it and most of the time you know all perks of the Killer long before the endgame collapse. Still many Survivors are hanging on this advice even if the most players don´t know why.

Another example happend to me "Don´t cleanse against Plaque" While this statement is true to deny her her power there are some exceptions. My last game against Plaque was on Haddonfield and she had the Addon equipped that she gets her power when a gen pops. So all of us had been broken while she camped from the roof of a building the hook on the street. So i cleansed myself and unhooked my mate before he went second stage and got hit once but escaped the snowball. But after we made it to safety the other two mates gave up. Why do you ask? Because I cleansed vs her and now game is over.

From time to time it is good to follow your own logic and not repeated "propaganda"

Before someone says I only say things against Survivors… Killers follow the same scheme. "You must tunnel the first one or you can´t win" "Slugging is always better than hooking" These are in a kind right but not always. Think for yourself not what others tell you to do.

So we prefer to punish surviviors more - I am not even surprised.

We don't care that a lot of people might not like to go against nurse, blight, or anything else.

Surviviors can't have preference, because they are the bad guys.

I've been proposing killer banning system, but everyone thinks this is a terrible idea.

We wouldn't atleast have that much DCs, if we could let people not to go against killers that they don't enjoy.

You quque up at your own, nobody is pressuring you to do it. And you know that these Killers could be your enemys. But I will give you an example why "I dc because I don´t like the Killer" is a terrible take.

First game Nurse. "Nah I don´t like this Killer NEXT" (congratz you ruined the game for 4 other players)

Second game Blight: "Nah I don´t like this Killer NEXT" (congratz you ruined the game for 4 other players)

Third game Clown: "Oh I like to face clown, but my teammate hates him so he goes next" (congratz your game and for 3 players got ruined)

Fourth game Legion: "Nah I don´t like meding sim NEXT" (congratz you ruined the game for 4 other players)

Fifth game another Nurse: "Damn why again her?"

And so on. You would never find a match which makes everyone happy.

Banning Killers would be horrible aswell:

    1. Quque times would go up and some killers would never get a game
    2. How many bans should everyone have? 1? 2? 3? If they get 3 you could ban 12 Killers.
    3. It would be abused as hell by bully squads.
  • In my first two years of playing Killer in DBD I often went for two hooks on everyone. After I archived that I downed people and let them on the ground for others to pick up. Indirectly giving them second chances left to right. I even picked them up to let them wiggle free if they were close to bleeding out.

Well after game chat was hell I can tell you.

I got accused of wasting their time, beeing unable to get a single Kill even while I played "sweaty as hell", I am a useless Killer and that they owned me.

You won´t get something out of this.

Once I asked why this behaviour even if they all escaped and got suprisingly aggressive answers. My favorite:

If we bully all Killers off the game the Survivors finally won so better off yourself for beeing the embarasment of a killer player.

  • Oh the read here is like a rollercoaster for me.

I am horrible at blight as I am on the most rush Killers (I miss you Myers…) because i can´t flick and I don´t have the time to learn all the "Tecs/Exploits" whatever you wanna call them.

But I agree in some degrees with both sides.

Blight is a horrible Killer for the game powerwise. Just his existance is one of the reason why more pallets are needed. It shouldn´t be possible that he breaks a pallet and after a few seconds he is breathing in your neck again.

Another problem is that he is a goat in tunneling. That may be personal experience but his strenght alone seems to bring the sweatiest playerbase to him.

The big problem is we can´t balance the game around blight so that he has a 60% KR while Killers like Pig, Ghostface or Trapper shall archive the same. So either we buff Survivors by adding pallets which is gutting every other Killer or we tone down blight and adjust the "safety nets" against him with him.

Funny phrase: “It's part of the game: if you don't like it, deal with it or leave.”
Why don't you write this in threads where killers complain about survivors, after which developers who love to mess with killers IMMEDIATELY rush to nerf survivors?
    Or is this “something else”?

Listen, the game is 9 years old and it's still full of flaws and injustices because the developers DON'T PLAY their own game and have no idea what players are facing.
For some reason, streamers close to the developers are all, without exception, main killers. Why is that? Why don't the developers ask themselves what's wrong with their game that survivors need to be encouraged with constant bonuses in order to have at least some motivation to play as survivors?

I'm talking about real problems with the game, since I bought it and spent over 9,000 hours playing it.
So if you don't like it, what are you doing in this thread?

Follow your own principles — take everything for granted and play, instead of sitting on the forum trying to tell people how to express their opinions, which they have every right to do.

If you would read my post history than you would see that I don´t take side for either side. I am just looking for the bigger picture.

But your post is in the same category as someone writting why are Survivors are able to croutch, run or just walk while a Killer has a fix movement speed.

If you really play 9000 hours and you biggest problem is that the Killer could bring a perk against 4 identical items or that you have to wait 10 seconds more because someone dodges the lobby, than must the game be well balanced at all.

  • @KEYKYNTAK said:

And what is this asymmetrical game?
The killer already has enough basic advantages to level out the difference in numbers.

    1. The killer is only responsible for their own mistakes in the game, while in the survivor's game, your teammate's mistake can cost the whole team the game.
    2. The killer does not get stunned after falling from a height, which helps a lot in many chase situations.
    3. The killer does not suffer from “fatigue” after using speed-boosting perks, and perks such as “Trail of Torment” have a ridiculous cooldown time of only 30 seconds, which is completely insane.
    4. Even without perks, the killer has information about the location of all generators, which greatly simplifies control of the entire map.
Imagine if you didn't have to take perks to find generators when playing as a survivor.

So let's not encourage discrimination against survivors in the lobby before the match starts under the guise of “asymmetric gameplay.”
Why should I take a flashlight and build for rescuing teammates if the killer can see my item before the match starts and simply render not only my item useless, but my entire rescue build?
Then give me the opportunity to see which killer I will be playing against before the match starts, too. I also want to choose my builds based on who my opponent will be.

Dude you are trying to nake this an us vs them while it is only a you vs understanding but here I go again

    1. Why does a Survivor vault faster as the Killer?
    2. Why doesn´t a Survivor get stunned when he is close to a pallet which is dropped.
    3. Why can´t Killer drop a pallet?

The simple reason is as Mandy stated. It is part of the game deal with it or leave if you don´t have fun with the game.

    @KEYKYNTAK said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4028927#Comment_4028927

I can't make the killer's perks or add-ons useless before the match starts by taking something to counter them.

But the killer can make not only items useless, but also the entire build of survivors.

It's like you're comparing things that aren't quite the same.

Nah sabotaging hooks against hook builds or using boon exponantial against slugging builds or killers don´t ruin their playstyle and so on.

Dude really rage baiting won´t bring you much and us vs them is out.

Next question why does the Killer move faster than the Survivor?

  • @KEYKYNTAK said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4028923#Comment_4028923

Why can this one player negate the entire usefulness of an item taken by a survivor?
Why can this one player view the profiles of survivors before the match starts and thus choose a target for tunneling based on personal bias?

There are 5 players in the match, each of whom paid the same amount of money for the game, each of whom may have spent money on skins, and each of whom should have equal basic rights.

You have the same basic rights…

You can choose to pick the Killer or the Survivors.

The one has an ability the other has Items…

The one can see the others in the Lobby, the others can Chat in the Lobby.

Each side has something for it and against it.

Your right is it to play each side.

  • @KEYKYNTAK said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4028911#Comment_4028911

Why is it that the player on the killer has more rights and priority than the four players on the survivors?

Are you officially confirming discrimination against the rights of players on the survivors?

    It is an async game…

Both sides have stronger things than the other…

Please stop it or I have to explain the next one why Killers don´t have exhausting Status effect after Bloodlusting

or why the Survivors can´t expose the Killer…

Sure, except like I said in my original post. Killers aren't using it to change a perk here or there. Both survivors and killers use the lobby to DODGE people. Making the queue times enormous. I regularly have to wait as killer and survivor at least two minutes per match while the players that abuse the lobby get their act together.

Same issue other wording but here I go again.

If some players use this to dodge the lobbys than it is still not everyone.

Killer have most of the time the longer quque wait time and fill the lobby instantly back up when someone dodges.

Survivor is a bit more difficult and to be honest I prefer that some survivors dodge the lobby because they don´t like the Sable. I prefer to wait 20 seconds longer and not play with someone who refuses to unhook someone because of a Skin.

  • @kisfenkin said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4028915#Comment_4028915

I bring Lightborn to every single game. I don't switch it out simply because they don't have a flashlight. Four toolboxes can equal four Flashbangs. There are also other perks that can make flashlights appear suddenly and unexpectedly.

That being said, the killer doesn't need their hand held. Sometimes I am sandbagging myself by bringing Lightborn. I am aware enough of that I do it anyway because I know I can still slaughter the survivors regardless. I have an 87.5% kill rate right now on Shape, with the build Lightborn, Bamboozle, Enduring, and Brutal Strength. Should I be given more help in doing so or less?

    The Lobby is unnecessary.

If it works for you doesn´t mean anyone is so talented.

"I guess Otz played some winstreaks without perks, 30 seconds afk as a weak. I think we should remove perks for all killers cause it works for him." /s

    Yeah doesn´t sound right

  • @kisfenkin said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4028911#Comment_4028911

Sure, except the only actual use I see is for the killer or survivors to dodge things they don't like.

Please just get rid of the lobby. We would have faster queue times at the very least.

You still need the prepare time.

As I stated you need other perks as Killer for each Situation.

Imagine equipping Lightborn and get thrown in a Match against 4 toolboxes.

You sacrifice 1/4 of your item build hoping that the survivors have atleast 1 flashlight.

  • I will try to not take this as rage bait and will try to explain it.

No, Survivors should never see which Killer they are playing against. The Lobby dodging would be enormous and quque times are long enough without survivors lobby shopping till they find a Trapper.

The reason why Killers can see the Items from Survivors is to give them options how to play. Seeing 4 Medkits? Maybe bring Franklins or Sloppy, 4 Toolboxes bring more slowdown, 4 Maps don´t play a boon build, 4 Flashlights bring Lightborn and so on.

Now you will scream that it is unfair why the Killer should see the items and have the "handholding" to adjust his build.

Pretty easier answer, cause the Survivor playstyle doesn´t need to addapt to the Killer they are facing. Trying to Sabo hooks? No difference between Trapper or Nurse, Trying to gen rush? No difference from Trapper to Nurse and so on.

If the Killer is willingly up to sacrifice 1/4 of his build to counter your items, the items have already given you use.

The whole discussion would be a different one if the Killer could swap between Killers but thats not the case anymore.

  • Ghostface is kinda a set up Killer with to many "Ifs"

If he finds you he relies on you that you don´t spot him

If he finds you he needs time to mark you or he has to try later again

If he marks you, you get a big warning that he is close to you

If he has marked you he is still an M1 Killer and needs to hit you

If you try to loop him and just predrop pallets he is kinda useless

    All this without other teammates.

Blight on the other hand is just a Skill matchup.

No preparing time. No long cds on his ability even if he shreds a pallet.

Blight can use his power for map traversel, anti loop and hit you faster than you can react.

  • @Anniehere said:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new rework going to bring these ideas to the Survivor role. Slate's video comes to mind. He is a very skilled player, and ended up matched with a veteran stealth player who reached this MMR by doing nothing. It shows how embarrassing this matchmaking is. I just hope the matchmaking ends up doing some good for the Killer role as well.

(The video may cause emotional pain 😆)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiXRubcGYoQ

Interesting to see this Video there…

The video showed me some things:

    1. Afk crows really need to come back. It can not be that there are nearly none in the whole 20 Minutes of hiding,
    2. The hiding gameplay is boring as hell and throws your teammates under the bus and pushes killrates
    3. Survivors having a problem with being slugged for 4 minutes but are okay with hiding for 20+ minutes
    4. you can reach high MMR by doing nothing at all

And what is upsetting me the most. She dced which means she didn´t lose MMR.

  • Oh boy, here the downvotes come:

If both sides are at the same Skill level and the game would be balanced it would be a 50:50 Kill and Escape rate. The big problem with that is that the Killer would have exact 6 hooks. Because if he gets more than that the Killer was much better he gets less the Survivors were better so they are not on the same level.

Now there are 2 outcomes with 6 hooks. 2 Survivors dead, which is a draw or 1/0 Survivor dead which is a loss to the Killer.

Another big problem is the fact that when 1 or 2 Survivors die they could be the same over and over again (thats the reason why some players are saying that the escape rate for them is low while it is only unlucky)

Another point which many aren´t ready to discuss is that chases have to be short as hell when Gens are done effeciantly. From time to time I hear one of these from my friends. "I can only loop the Killer for one gen and then I get downed." But to lose 1 gen for 1 down is still in big favor of Survivors. (Personally I think all these "I looped the Killer for 5 gens" videos gave many survivors a complete wrong expectation of what is good and what should be a big exception)

  • Matchmaking has a big problem on both sides…

Since I have a headache right now I will just post the points here which I can rember.

    Survivor MMR:

You get MMR for escaping, you lose it when you get sacrificed.

    1. This is a big problem because you could be a total selfish player and escape while your other mates die. (Left behind, Sole Survivor and Wake up build in mind) No one will say that is a good survivor but his MMR will increase.
    2. Good looper looping for 5 gens gets downed by Noed and camped while all the others leave or tbag at gate. Is he a good player? Ofcours does he escape a lot? Nope… so he goes down
    3. Hero players going for a risky unhook in the Endgame and getting killed for it. Down you go.

    Same problems for Killer:

    1. Getting 8 hooks as trapper but no kill. Lol bad player down you go.
    2. Nurse slugging at 5 gens for the 4K. Good player up you go. (Both of these examples are problems, because players which go for hooks will get incredible easy games, but since they didn´t need easier opponents it will bore the hell out of them.
    3. Every Killer you can play needs a single MMR and this will take ages for some Killers. The best example is the Twins. You are good as Twins and are high MMR? Well lets wait till some players quque up which have strong experience vs Twins… yeah quque time "Next Year on a rainy tuesday."

It’s not even a change that’s about winning. It’s a minor QoL improvement that would increase people’s enjoyment. We’ve all let one of our fellow survivors reach struggle cause we figured someone else was closer. It happens. It would happen less with more aura reading.

Well you could see who the Killer is chasing and where the killer is chasing. You can see which tiles are used and can think if the pallet is gone.

Is bloodwarden unfair when it procs at the end of endgame collapse?

No it is not… you go oh snap I am dead and thats what happend in your situation

  • Noed is a hit or miss perk to be honest.

Some games the value is unfair. in the next game one survivor stands on top of it the moment it lits up.

You can claim nerf it when it is near hook (I won´t explain that the Killer could bring you to the totem and it doesn´t to lit up there or what happens when all except one totem is cleansed.

On the other side you could say buff noed by changing its location when it spawns near a survivor.

Because the perk would kinda be completly useless when it only can spawn far away from the action.

So, in the interest of genuine conversation, I'm going to take your inquiry at face value and give my honest answer:

what in your opinion do survivors need to feel winable for you

I don't think it's necessarily a "winnable" problem. Killer players tend to focus on the "win", and survivors tend to focus on playing a "well rounded match". This isn't to say that individuals can't, or don't pay both roles, most do.

However, when the survivor role is designed, intentionally, to die more often than escape, the game can't realistically be all about "winning". That will obviously be different for each person, and isn't intended to be "everyone."

Personally, when I play survivor, I want to have a fun match with some hope of escape, at minimum some back and forth with the killer, and a sampling of most things the role offers. I want to be altruistic for my team, do some gens, rescue, heal, and maybe progress the current quest or something.

I can't do that if I get hard tunneled at 5 gens. Which is the meta, unfortunately. It's also been getting worse over the years, and easier as the game has shifted to hitting a 60% (or higher) kill rate for most of the roster.

And despite this being a complaint literally since day 1, more than 9 years now, the community not only does not allow the devs to actually fix it, but we have this narrative that all of it is always petty instead.

There have always been petty people, and they implemented a punishment with dc penalties for that. Doesn't work.

And it didn't work because the larger issue is not because people are petty, it's because they're frustrated with the game, and are either too addicted to leave or don't yet realize they're burned out.

We could punish them harder. Maybe "the beatings will continue until morale improves" will eventually force them to quit.

But we certainly, and clearly, aren't allowed to fix the core problem for many people, which is that they don't get to play the game if found first.

To answer your question directly: what survivors need is what they've always needed in this game: hope. It's the while reason hatch existed in the past. The current game doesn't allow for much hope. You get found first, you *are* dying, and likely the others will as well, so it isn't "for" anything. Hatch is 100% up to the killers choice of "allowing" you a chance to get it.

Game direction has gotten us here, and the devs absolutely not "allowed" to meaningfully address that part.

Hey someone who wants to talk and is open to a discussion, I am honored.

I understand the problem and the feeling that beeing hard tunneld sucks and it shouldn´t be possible. But I think that many people are "like Scott in the video" to fast in throwing the towel and the saying "it´s every game the same". I often heard the narrative: "OMG the Killer found me I am dead" by a friend of mine while he stood there under hook waiting for the Killer to come back, get downed and said "proudly" "See the killer tunnels me out". No he didn´t you just stand afk under the hook or ran to the Killer.

I had an disscussion two months ago here in the forums. That all Killers do is to tunnel and it should be possible to abbandon the game if you get found first. My question was simpe and is still unanswerd. "How do you know that the Killer will tunnel you if you haven´t been hooked once?" Thats just self fullfilling.

What I want to say is: Not every game is over just because you got first as not every match is over when all gens pop at 2 hooks. Many people would be suprised what they are missing out by just giving up with the excuse "Yeah it will always happen because I know it better".

when I solo Q I play to the best of my ability and my only complaint is my controller sucks because its not hard as either side if you know what you are doing, I unhook, I heal, I take hits/chase, and I die for my team to survive so I'd have to say as someone that mains killer EVERY time I see someone doing that most of the people escape because they help their team but when not a single person does (which is most of the time) everyone dies game after game till that one person just decides "yknow what lets win this, not alone but as a team" that person single handedly makes me lose because its a team game

like R6 siege you gotta work together to win

I am always open to discuss (an ability which it seems nealry no one is capable of in modern times)

From time to time i compare DBD with the 1v3 Mini Games in Mario Party. Ofcourse the 1 has the bigger hammer and can deal more damage but the 3 have many more attempts to hit the 1 with their tiny hammers. If you would compare them in a 1v1 ofcourse the Killer will win it is designed that way thats the single reason why not every chase can be a 5 gen chase. Even 1 full gen chase time is huge. Imagine for every hook state you will get a full gen. Game would be over before the sixth hook is reached.

Solo Survivors Need Better Communication Tools

In my opinion, certain killer perks and strategies can make a match feel nearly unwinnable for solo queue survivors. When I load into a trial and see the killer tunneling at 5 gens while running Pain Resonance and Dead Man’s Switch, it’s hard not to feel like the game is already over—no matter how well everyone plays.

The lack of communication options for solo survivors often ends up doing more harm than the killer themselves. How many times have you been left on hook because two teammates assumed the third person was going for the unhook? Or when everyone abandons critical gens to go for a rescue, only to find the killer proxy camping—now the entire team is standing around the hook, making it a free kill with zero gen progress?

If Behaviour really wants to address tunneling and slugging, improving solo queue communication should be a top priority. Those strategies often succeed not because they’re inherently overpowered, but because survivors can’t coordinate well enough to counter them. The problem isn’t always balance—it’s that solo players are forced to rely on guesswork and hope their teammates are on the same page.

Communicatiion is key I agree there with you but communication can be toxic and annoying as hell. Now our communication is limited to waving and pointing. Or how most of the community uses it butt slap and shame pointing.

From time to time I thought about a emote wheel could be great but to this day I still hear the Questionmark ping from league of legends and I swear to god… not a single one of these where meant to say "enemy is missing" You shouldn´t be able to annoy your teammates with emotes and try to trigger them to tilt. Imagine sitting on a gen and trying to listen if Myers is breathing around the corner while permanent a Killer is missing signal is in your ears. Maybe you could make it that some actions allow you to ping an emote one time. Like you unhook and you get the "run away or I heal you" emote or that you get the option after 15 second of chase to ping "Killer on me or Killer leaving"

  • Well I think what Scott is saying here is right and I can kinda prove it.

Since I am a Survivor main with a little bit of Killer Time (80/20) I see the exact same problem in DBD. Normally I get some opinions on my topics which I share and my opinions are not liked by all but by some so I get a tendency better upvotes than downvotes.

The only posts where the downvotes escalate are the posts where one of these two things are said.

First: There is a lot of the "The game is unwinnable as Survivor" propaganda in 1v4 for 2v8 and that the game is not worth the time to being played.

Second: If I ask the simple question. "What do Survivors want to feel that the game is fair."

I get downvoted for these two things into oblivion but I never get an answer which is strange.

If these people who say to me the game is unplayabe really have this point, why can no one answer me the question what they need?

So i just beg you before you downvote me, take your time and write an answer to my question, "what in your opinion do survivors need to feel winable for you"

  • Well the last Dev who activly played DBD was Almo…

Till today he is my main argument when someone says the game isn´t designed around tunneling and camping.

Almo was known for camping with huntress and even called Insidious Basement Bubba a good strategie XD

The Devs are not good enough to decide things in the game but it wouldn´t hurt to experience some "boring" things for themself.

  • @Pulsar said:

It's boring. There's almost no reward for improving.

I have to play twenty matches on average until I'm challenged, unless I'm running some kind of meme build or purposefully handicapping myself.

The best strategies (tunneling, proxying and situational slugging) are all the same as they were when I started playing eight years ago. Eight years of a single meta is horrifically boring, not even getting into a balance discussion. The game actively punishes you for trying to avoid those strategies and continuously rewards you for using them, despite the fact that nobody likes to play against them.

To summarize, Killer is boring because the lowest skill strategies, which have been meta for almost a decade, are encouraged whilst high skill expression is continuously penalized. Couple that with general burnout and a lack of challenge, and you get a very bored and disappointed Killer main.

You could say the exact same for Survivors.

The strongest strategies to play Survivor are prerunning (optimal with Sprintburst) and predropping pallets.

Both sides have really boring strategies which are way to powerful on how easy they are to pull off.

    Sorry for that…

I don´t like to play Killer anymore, because my mains , Chucky, Myers and Clown have been butcherd though Nerfs, Changes or beeing hated by anyone.

  • Well… I play less Killer since my 3 favorites got changed, nuked or got a really bad reputation.

Loved to play Chucky, the quotes, the dirty laugh, but his scamper is really trash now cause of the turn rate and his dash is very slow…

Myers was my first main and I loved him cause he was a suprise package. Insta death, Infinite T3, Mirror Myers I could play like I wanted to now he is just a dash Killer…

Well and nobody wants to play vs The fastest clown in the universe…

I would like to try new Killers but it is really hard. I am on the older side of players and I don´t have the time to learn every curve or wall hug tech in the game to just be decent in this game.

So I often play Survivor since the Game loop nearly don´t change. Yeah some Meta swaps and to learn a new Killer how to dodge them. You know the drill.

  • "How is waterboarding torture when people are drowning?"

    Sounds pretty stupid huh?

Ragebaiting and trolling are toxic aswell not the hyper toxic way but still toxic.

If it isn´t toxic to write ggez why going all the way? You could type ggwp same amount of letters and time typing it but has a better sound to it. Or are you trying to type ez because you could make the other side mad?

  • @Memesis said:

Can't have both. Pick shorter queues with stronger survivors (worse genrush), or weaker survivors with infinite queue time. its not appealing to play as survivor if you're guaranteed to lose and the novelty of co-op killer is the other option.

Can we shift away from this narrative that it is impossible to win as survivor?

Legion got already removed and so many claimed that the waiting time is so long because no one wants to play vs him.

Now there are claims that Oni needs to go, because he is to strong.

Survivors are pretty strong but compared to 1v4 there is just bland gameplay. You can only use Medic Nukes or Sprintburst on command to dodge an M1 a certain amount of time till it gets boring. While Killers have a blast trying combinations.

If you go into 2v8 as Survivor you restrict yourself from many perks which are more fun to use.

But by the love of god please go away of this narrative or give an example:

What should be buffed so that everyone wants to play a stale mode?

  • By the way… since Legion got removed which Killer is the evil queue delayer?

  • Well most casual Players are hopping to 2v8.

That explains why most survivors go down in 10 seconds or try to camp pallets instead of looping.

So you are stucked with good survivors.

  • A big problem I am facing in this mode are coordinated survivors and to be honest it is funny but busted as hell.

I told in another discussion about 2v8 that I played in a coordinated team and got nearly kicked out because I wanted to finish a gen early. The thing is the addaptive difficulty is abusable as hell and I hope to bring an eye on this.

If you don´t finish a gen and the Killers hook survivors the other gens get a speed boost and you only need to tap your gen once you get the penality.

I don´t want to talk about the medic nukes …

  • It is kinda normal that many Killers get a doom posting at their release.

Many are begging for nerfs before the even learn the counter play and I give the fault many clickbait contentcreators.

Like look Springtrap can snip you over a loop while showing a custom match where the Survivor stands completly still.

It took me some time and to be honest I still don´t understand why people said his grab was over powerd when you got hit by the Axe. I mean if he is in range to grab you… he could M1 you and you were down aswell?

From time to time I think about what a shitstorm huntress would recive if she would be released today. OMG CROSS MAP SNIPES AND ORBITALS??? Better give her Skull Merchant treatment because I saw some crazy shots while Survivors were standing still.

  • This is one of the funniest discussions for me even with friends.

On Friday I had a funny discussion about slugging and tbagging with a friend of mine. He was very angry that the killer left him to bleed out on the ground for 4 Minutes. "Dude don´t waste my time" "He is toxic" and so on.

Next game I got sacrificed and my friend and a random stand at the exit gate and tbag with the Killer not near themwhile the Killer had a sable slugged in the basement (yeah i am not kidding).

So both games wasted 4 Minutes for my friend, since he could have left the game and go to the next with me.

Thats why I don´t take the time argument serious in many situations because both sides. Survivor and Killer love to waste them just to try to be toxic.

I think it was a good idea to make the exit area not as safe as it was before, since Killers like Wesker or Ghoul don´t let you escape when they hit you in the are.

So I was thinking what you can do to make it potential dangerous to stay there.

I had some Ideas. Maybe give the killer "THIS IS A THEORETICAL CLAIM SO PLEASE DONT EAT ME ALIVE FOR IT." the ability to block the exit for a random amount of time if he hits you with an M1. So that if you are running out in a chase the timer will be over when you reach it but if you stay at the border he can pick you up.

  • I think the reason it got gutted is the existance of Plaque.

Oh four Medkits? Better switch to Plaque trolololo

Yeah but the buttom and the option to abandon wouldn't appear, even if you were the last survivor and slugged, but be honest, would you abandon when you have a chance to escape even if the buttom to abandon was there?

Ofcourse i try to escape but the problem is I still can and won´t lose MMR. So in this Situation i am between gettin 7000BP and increase my MMR or keep it at the same MMR if the Killer gets me but thats another kind of story.

  • It would make many things easier to buff or nerf if you don´t have to think about which synergies could completly break the game.

Sometimes the killer just closed the hatch and you would just have to sit there and wait until you die, it was a boring scenario to be and I'm glad they made you be able to abandon when you are the last survivor in the match.

Well but this is the same category than being "all slugged abbandon" (because if only one survivor left in the game getting him slugged is all sluged)

But it is possible to abbandon full health while hatch is open. Why is that?

This is why you hybridize it and use a donation system.

Each survivor can choose to donate their first hook to a shared hook pool that everyone uses first before individual states. If someone is wanting to abuse it, they can't get your hook state without your permission.

Even then, of you limit it to first hook only, you can still eliminate someone at hook 6 and everyone has only "second" and "death" hooks left.

Still nukes camping and tunneling, prevents abuse.

Then we can finally have an open area to talk about buffing the killers who actually need it.

    So… shoulder the burden basekit?

that some people will claim, that BHVR makes the Killer role so easy that a baby could play it.

I would say PTB anti-everything features don't really fit that narrative.

I didn´t say that OP is right or not.

I just wanted to show that even the smallest change in any direction will bring someone forward to make this to a "us vs them" post.

There was an awkward situation, when if you were already downed and the killer loses you for example, and after that everyone leaves the match by the exit gate, you couldn’t abandon, but you were the last survivor in the match, but you still couldn’t abandon, so they just made if you are the last survr you can abandon no matter what.

But if the Killer loses you there is still the chance to crawl out? Isn´t it?

  • @OmegaXII said:

Make all survivors share all 12 hook states.

    No tunnelling/camping anymore.

The Problem with that idea is if someone decides to troll or go next he will just run permanent to the killer.

Than everyone loses cause of one person.

  • So I will take MFT with me and there is nearly no downside and I get a weaker MFT while healthy.

Yeah I see no problem with this.

  • Well thanks.

But I think the status should hold longer so that you can´t Proxycamp and when you do the only thing you can do is going for the unhooker.
