Some killers will be a spoil sport ive found when trying to do this in sweaty 2v1s
I had one recently where leon was signaling me to give up as killer was refusing to down or hook them anymore as they where close to bleedout and killer dribbled em up. I agreed (with as much as i can with point and nods) and we both go to killer, then they proceed to down me and start humping me on the ground in front of injured leon.
found it amusing honestly leon injured face adding to it all but its not always as easy as just giving yourself to certain killers.
But in this scenario the Leon can abbandon after the second down. So the last guy can abbandon after that aswell
-
So… does Judgment get complete Aura reveal while casting her ability? Must be hard for Killer Streamers to keep track on their chat and the Survivors.
This post was sarcasm btw.
But it is funny that a killer gets nerfed because survivor streamers wanted it while killer streamers which are ringing the bell that no casual will play this killer will get ignored.
-
That was good quality bait tho.
I lost some hot air through my nose. Well done.
-
So now I am completly confused.
People want a surrender if all Survivors want to give up.
So… why won´t you just go to the Killer if you don´t want to wait for the hatch?
Don´t lose me now because if all Survivors need to agree and the downed Survivor wants to give up the other Survivor has to agree aswell and could just show himself instead of hiding? In any other case the Survivor which is standing still wants to play.
-
You guys see Twins that much?`
I see twins maybe 1 to 2 times a month and I play a lot of survivor.
Since WglF won´t leave my build except I take Boon Exponential Slugging isnßt that big problem either.
-
The Killer is like a mouse with a Nuke…
Extremly powerful if the mouse manages to accidentally sit on the red button for to long it could go off
If the mouse doesn´t the Killer is kinda harmless.
-
Many Survivors are simply burned out at this point. Stale Meta, Stale Gameplay, still hunting for the "one" good game in which you can be the "hero".
Many Survivors simply lost the trust to other Survivors aswell.
Example:
"Oh boy I can´t wait to play against bubba, I didn´t see him in quiet a while and its fun to play against… sound of disconect because the other Survivor don´t want to play against bubba Well game is over as it seems…"
Many Survivors got quiet comfortable to chase the "perfect" game by dcing at the slightest inconvenience.
Another Example by myself:
I love to play against Legion because I find it funny to spin them or stun them out of power. So I got a Legion at my favorite map "Freddy Fazzbears" and was thrilled to play. And… 2 people disconected the second they saw someone going into the mending state. Well I guess I will abbandon too then… Seeing the other Survivors rage in chat that Legion is a boring Killer because they have to mend. I asked them what they wanted to do instead. Answer doing Gens…
So you area telling me it is okay to wait in quque to hold M1 on gens all game… but it is not okay to hold M1 to mend?
Well another game for someone who was thrilled was robbed and many players experience this lately since many content creators are calling "that it is to okay to leave because you paid for the game so you are allowed to ruin it"
-
Another thing why Lightborn is used as much lately are flashbangs.
I still remember the flying Flashbanks under hooks which were undodgeball if you didn´t moonwalk to a hook.
-
40% progress are 160 seconds of Ruin alive…
I wish my ruin would last longer than the camera spin around at the start of the game…
-
Just make some changes to BBQ like you get a token for every Survivor you hook for the first time until you hook someone twice.
So that you won´t get free Bps for tunneling and slugging for the 4k.
WGLF would be amazing in the Slug Meta right now. So encouraging its pick rate by BP Bonus would be great.
-
I guess the wheel will be ignored by most players becuase we have the hud.
If good players see the following situation:
One person on hook
One person in chase
One on the gen
The last person should know to go for the unhook without one of these survivors spamming that he should go for the unhook.
And if the person is bad in the game they won´t give a flying duck about someone spamming something kind the opposite will happen.
You are spamming me? Now I won´t do it.
-
A big problem is that if a perk isn´t op the community often sees it as trash.
Example:
A perk which gives you anti slug.
First question. Is it better than Unbreakable?
If the answer is yes it is freaking op but if the answer is no why shouldn´t you bring unbreakable.
-
In the few games I play Killer because I want archivments or I have to play it for quests I don´t use lightborn but I often wished I would have.
As long as "impossible" angles exist where a survivor is capable of blinding me without being in my Pov while staring at a brick wall Lightborn is still a viable choice.
Another benefit is that Lightborn counters cheaters pretty well.
For the argument of cutting a mechanic for survivors. Yes it is true a perk which cuts a mechanic is pretty strong. Thats the reason many players miss distortion because it remove the mechanic of Aura reading from the Killer. You could argue that perks which remove breathing or grunts of pain and perks which remove screaming are cutting "chase" mechanics from the Killer and if we go further you could argue that getting undetectable as Killer is robbing the Survivor information while looping and so on.
The Problem is if you start "cutting/nerfing" perks just because they go explicit against one part of the game you can bring arguemtens against nearly everything.

The bloodweb has plenty of mediocre filler without needing completely dead items in it
I know but if you are eradicating the "bad" offerings the next person will ask why are there still the new "bad" offerings. Till only the best are left.

They could remove a lot of garbage, make bloodwebs smaller and the remaining stuff more expensive. I'd be in favor of that because currently I feel that >90% of my bloodpoints are completely wasted on crap I will never use.
I understand your point.
But at this Point you could ask yourself why BPs exist at all if its not for the random clutter and the chance to get something useful.
If only good Item/Addons remain than BHVR could hand out some after each match you played. Making all the Bloodweb useless.
-
Because some players like Pyramid Head I guess.
With your logic we could remove all Killers which aren´t A Tier.

Please send all the windows of opportunity users to me. It's a perk that doesn't increase gen speeds, doesn't give endurance, doesn't give haste, doesn't cause a stun or blind, and doesn't actually make the survivor any better in chase. It is a good perk for learning map layouts and knowing with certainty whether or not a teammate used a resource.
Yeah its just a perk that without comms gives you the exact position where you can safely loop the killer all the time. Not wasting time to look behind the corner if the Baby Meg dropped a god pallet in the first 2 seconds of the game.
No one had a problem with old Windows which did exactly the same btw just a cooldown but weirdly it wasn´t used that much. Maybe and just maybe it is just to safe to tell good players where to go for a walk with their dog… I mean Killer.
-
Why is it that I always have the feeling that I am repeating myself….
In every PvP game I played the meta goes through many shifts.
Example: Hey Tanks are to strong because no one builds anti Tank so everyone buys anti Tank and like a miracle people don´t play Tanks anymore.
Same thing for DbD. "Hey Killers don´t hook anymore and only slug, maybe I should go away from my anti tunnel perks and go for anti Slug.
Nearly no Killer in this game would try to slug a team if they know that 4 UBs are in play.
Yeah it sucks in Soloque i understand that but in all the other plays I went through in my life Solo Players understand after a time that they have to forge a new meta against the current one if they want to climb the rank ladder. While the rest was hoping for the devs to change the game for them.
All what I want to say is. Try to take Anti Slug if you claim that every game is Slugging. You will be suprised how often you profit from it or realize that slugging isnt that normal as you think it is.
-
Problem is, that we still need not so good stuff in the Bloodweb. If we remove all bad stuff we can just give out purple Medkits, Party Streamers and fat toolboxes for free. Likewise on the other side why have "nerfing yourself" addons when you could just get the best ones all the time.
If BHVR removes the "clutter" from the blood web the good stuff would inflate the game to a really not so healthy spot.
-
Thats the reason I bring Wglf or Exponential to my matches to counter these strategies.
-
Yeah… you kinda lost me whe you said that sprintburst is one of the worst perks in the game.
Brings me back to the time when people tried to defend old dead hard because its just a small distance boost.
Windows is another candidate which people try to defend by claiming that only survivors which are new or learning the map are using but we all know that it has much more potential than "learning".
Lithe on the other hand is kinda fine because it has a massive drawback which I personally don´t like at all. All the time I try to use it it triggers at the worst moment. Like I try to loop at a safe jungle gym and… I wasted my haste or I am in a much worse tile after using it.
-
Maybe I am repeating myself, but I suggesteded at the time Oni was added to 2v8 that if his teammate injures a Survivor that no blood orbs spawn from the injured survivor.
I got heavyly downvoted because 99% of players assured me that Oni was fine and Legion was the "only" reason why Oni is to strong and if we remove Legion, Oni would dissapear because he is useless.
-
A big problem with map offerings was the stale use of it.
Maps weren´t used for the sake of "I havent seen this map such a long time there were used to get a huge advantage.
Most of the time you were sent to eoc or another strong survivor map since the cards where stacked against you. (Short example 4 Survivors bring 4 strong different survivor maps vs 1 Killer brings a strong map for his killer and the odds are 4to1 thats not good design)
But the huge problem you can see right now it the following. Even without map offerings many players, survivor and killer are annoyed that it seems like that every month there are only 5 maps in the rotation. This feeling is the biggest clue how it has felt for many players to play all night on the same maps.
-
I dislike Noed, not because it exposes you but more likely that it is hidden till you hit someone.
Most of the time I face Noed in the same Situation. Killer facecamps the last hook and I have Zero problems to trade my lifes for randoms and so on.
But getting hit by a truck is always a "Naw common" moment for me.
-
So… why don´t you bring Unbreakable or Boon Exponential? If every game is a slug fest you should get huge value out of it.
You know to counter the Slugging Meta?
Addapting keeps the game fresh instead of demanding to go back to the same stale game…
-
This mode would not work as well as you think
Since many Survivors have complete a** perks while others are pretty decent
So you would see only the same Killer vs the same 4 Survivors all the time.
And I think this mode would be dead pretty fast
-
@Valuetown said:
Unfortunately as expected, your post will be downvoted into oblivion despite Nemesis and Oni being one of the most prevalent combos this 2v8.
But yes, Nemesis is not fair. Neither is Oni. Downvotes with no discussion just proves that killers don't want to work for a win.
So… we should ban Nemesis like we did with Legion? Because he is to strong with Nemesis?
We can go for Trapper Next, it is kinda unfair that he makes pallets useless
While we at it can we remove Wesker and Nurse too?
Why should killers be allowed to play in a team at all?
Thats not fair lets make it 1v8
/sarcasm
-
I would prefer DS to activated twice, because it should be an Anti Tunnel Perk.
Right now it feels like a "Oh he used DS now I can tunnel him out" card.
-
Have you guys tried to see it in a different light?
BHVR has now more room to balance stuff and doesn´t need to tiptoeing around every potential perk, ability and hope that the one youtube doesn´t find abusable stuff.
I exactly remember so many players hating on speed Clown/speed selfcare
The only thing BHVR could do to attack these problems was to nerf "EVERYTHING" for everyone which leads to dying perks like selfcare.
If selfcare doesn´t get additional healing speed by medkits, perks and other stuff the perk can be rebalanced back to the game.
These are just some examples because I know well that there are many perks which are 0 problem on their own but become kinda dumb when paired with others.
-
Hey there,
I will try to explain this to you.
While Knight seems to be an unfair Killer with his "flanking" BHVR nerfed this playstyle a while ago. When Knight is to close to his guard the guard will disappear in half the time meaning that a chase is quiet useless.
When the guard is chasing you alone you need to tap windows so that the guard is stuck and the knight is chasing someone else as useless M1 Killer.
The camping with guards is not as strong as it seems. If you go for the unhook the guard will instantly drop the chase on you keeping this tactic useless it is only another notification that the unhook is happening which the knight would get anyway.
-
I miss my old Myers…
The most annoying part of the new Myers is how fast he gets to his T3. Especially in late game scenarios.
Okay guys.
Gates are open we wait till Myers loses T3 snatch last man from hook and escape. Easy plan….
Myers loses T3
Okay now go in!
1 second later
And… he is T3 again…
-
The big problemof fast track is not that it does punish Killers for success, the problem is Killers which go out of their way to tunnel are getting punished for it.
As Survivor main which is guilty of hitting great skill checks quiet often (9/10) Fast Track was a good perk for me but I have to say if the best counter for a perk is to tunnel the hell out of me or my mates something is wrong.
I think most of you which aren´t blindly follow the "BHVR caters only to one Side" train will agree that perks which promote unhealthy game styles shouldn´t be meta.
I would prefer fast track if it would give more tokens when survivors are hooked in a row not if the Killer goes out of the way.

Conversely, tunneling a player because you don't like an aspect of them (their name, their charms, their character, their perks, their item) is generally accepted and not treated the same at all. Make it make sense.
On of these is playing the game in a scummy way
The other is abbandoning 4 other players in a "lost" game
-
My personal most disliked Survivors and Killers are the following:
Survivors which find a key at 5 gens with no hooks and decide to do nothing the whole match to gamble on the hatch.
Killers which carry you to the hatch to mori you there or giving the hatch to the one survivor which hasn´t take a single chase or done a single gen.
-
@UnicornMedal said:

This strips down the points of contention far too much, however. Survivors lack a great deal of autonomy over the game. More often than not, it's simply unfair for them. I don't think it's very entitled for them to give up when the trial becomes one-sided so early on. Make those trials a trend and giving up becomes a trend.
Yeah Dcing because you hear the Terror Radius of a Killer you don´t like is not entitled at all.
-
The big problem I see is the following:
In DbD both sides are entilted and think they are the punching bag for the other side.
But I have to adress that Survivors aren´t happy no matter what you do. Pllease stay with me I will give some examples and I beg you to be honest with yourself.
Rate of disconnects are rocket high at the Survivor side and gets support by many DbD players (Why should you stay in a game if you don´t have fun?) Don´t like the Killer? DC! Don´t like the map? DC! You know what I mean as many players even in this forum suggested. "Don´t like Ghoul? Just DC and show BHVR that you don´t want to play.
Ofcourse there are Killers which DC over the smallest things themself. Bad Map, Bully Squads etc. but if you are beeing honest you will see that a Killer which dcs has most of the time a reason to do so (I don´t agree with these but you will understand) Hey another denied hit by autoaim, Hey another Larrys as Billy, Hey another flashlight save out of an impossible angle and so on.
Another point is how players react to a gamestyle the other side uses. While yes Bullysquads are hated by Killers the most common suggestions in this forum is to always bring Lightborn or if you play against Sabo Squads Slug the hell out of them. These are legit conversations how to tackle the problem you are facing. Survivors Gen Rush? Use slow down and so on.
Survivors on the other hand react to such topics in another way. Many Survivors think that BHVR should make playsstyles they don´t like unusable and get mad at BHVR if they don´t do it right after the suggestion came in. From time to time I try to reason with some players in this forum that "If slugging is in 10 of 10 games why won´t you take anti slug perks?" and always the answer tend to be something like "I don´t want to use a perk for BHVRs bad game desing".
While both sides are horrendous from time to time, most of the time I roll my eyes when I see Survivors in game or in the forum.
-
While I agree that many Survivors leave games because their shoeties are in a wrong color I can´t agree with your second take.
All your called perks "sprint burst, vigil, lithe, fast track( i know its getting changed), botany knowledge, resurgence, unbreakable, decisive strike" are situational perks which need a specific situation to accure which is their condtition. I take the Haste perks out because they are really powerful this is why they are limited to one.
Shoulder the burden is the same. If you dont tunnel the perk does kinda nothing for the Survivors. Well yes you could swap the first hookstage for yours but than you only give the Killer your exposed "ass" to tunnel out.
Yes you can still use plot twist after using conviction. 2 perks for one heal after you get slugged sounds fair to me.
-
Selfcare could make a comeback when perks stop stacking with each other so that you have a fix time to heal yourself.
-
Funny enough that the map is so small that these Gens are kinda "spread" out.
Maybe give this map the Swamp treatment so that the gens can spawn at the border to make the map feel "Larger"
-
Just make it that Survivors don´t scream when Pain Res hits and the combo is kinda useless.

they’re both seizure inducing so both should be changed. The only difference that matters is one that effected gameplay did get changed and so the new as of last year doctor vfx change should be reverted because it has zero effect on gameplay period. You missed my point entirely.
Did you read the paragraph after my first sentence?
I said it should be fixed by BHVR.
The only thing i said is that Flashlights were not nerfed because BHVR favors Killerplayers health.
-
@MashedBroccoli said:
Remember when they changed flashlights because of photosensitivity? There were warnings back then too , hmm kind of funny how making flashlights drain faster and less responsive was okay under the guise of photosensitivity but not reverting a change from last year is fine because there is photosensitivity warnings.
Guess we can bring back the clicky clicky spam because we have a photosensitivity warning.
There is a big difference here.
While yes Doctor can be a photosensitive issue and should be looked after accecibility it is part of his gameplay and it is on BHVR to fix this.
Flashlights were complete different story. While yes I am sure the manual fast clicking on flashlight could cause seizures it was the macros on the mouse wheels which let you click the flashlight with nearly 0 uses a hundred times in a second. You can´´t tell me that this was neccesary for any kind of gameplay other than getting under the skin of the Killer or as some people claimed "They wish they could give some tunneling Killers seizures which would be their dream"
While yes recalibrating your flashlight with a short turn off and turn back on would give you the rright timing for a flashlight save BHVR gave flashlights a much wider window to hit them and if I am being honest I rarely see someone miss flashlight saves because of the timing. Most of the time flashlight saves fail because the angle isn´t right.
-
The map is visually one of the best maps BHVR has created in a long time.
There are some huge problems tho.
Some Windows and Godpallets are kinda problematic for slower Killers.
On the other hand it is an absolute nightmare to go against a Hex Build on this map with all the totem spawns.
-
Hey there,
it was a buff for plaque that she starts with a corrupted fountain, so that she is always able to get her red puke once per trial.
This was made so that the threat of all infected survivors getting one shotted exist and should encourage cleansing.
-
Well first of all you will not be able to stack perks in near future so this won´t work so well
Second, countering such build is slugging…
Not a pleasant varient if you ask me

I think there's a bit of a Trick too, people often use at shack, where they first run at the window, then walk for a bit and then run for a split second and get the vault, which is also how you can trigger the running vault I'm pretty sure

If you use Fixated you can get to the speed to do fast vault faster so it can look like the survivor went from walking to fast vault but in reality they do sprint briefly to get fast vault but because they use Fixated they are already faster while walking so they get to the running speed faster
That is really a thing?
nearly 5k hours in this game and I see I know nothing about it

No I don't think so, but you're right. Then I'm out of ideas to explain it with my knowledge.
My only ideas would be that the fastvaults are yet again broken OR that the person cheated xD
I always try to see the honesty in people. So I want to belive it was no cheating envolved. Since If I remember right in the Suffocation map there is a window in a really bad position with clutter right behind it and some content creator managed to fast vault even that.
Edit: Not Coaltower but Suffocation pit

Wait did you look at the perks? I believe finesse ignores the movement speed and gives you the buffed fastvault no matter your speed, you only need the angle I think
Well Finesse has a unique vaulting animation.
Or does it ignore it even on cooldown?
-
@KatsuhxP said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/466091/fast-vaults-i-don-t-get-it
I'm not really playing survivor, but as far as I know you get a fast vault as long as the angle is right and you got at least a moment of running before the vault. That being said you can queue the vault a bit before the window (at 1-2 meters, Idk, I'm not great at guessing that) and after that you get whatever vault you would have get with the speed and angle you had.
So my guess would be that were around 0.5 to 1 meter away from the window in the right angle, then started running for a short moment, queued the vault and because of the short time of it all it looked a bit scuffed animationwise.
(Yet again, not a survivor player :D)
Hey there thanks for the Answer,
I am familiar with your point of view and as long as I remember it has been like this you ran at the right angle and you get the fast vault.
But my problem is the following, the Survivor was kinda in the idle animation and fast vaulted out of it. This is the point which I don´t understand, there was no running just staying and insta fast vault. It seemed off as hell.
-
Just make it that the hatch spawns if only one Survivor is left standing and one is slugged.
So all 3 Players left have something to do.
Both Survivors, the crawling one and the last man standing could get the hatch and the Killer can decide if he hooks the slugged one or trys to find the hatch.
When one Survivor escapes through the hatch the mori Animation starts for the remaining one. If the hatch gets closed both Survivors die.
