Sounds like rat race who hides and finds the hatch first and in some games could lead to 3 people alive some may just start hiding more and dont do the objective for having chance to get hatch which isnt good.
Isn´t it a rat race like now?
Two people waiting that the other gets found first and dies to have the chance to get hatch. My Idea makes all 3 Players play, since your hiding would make you lose time which the other Survivor could use to find the hatch.
I guess we all agree that if 3 Survivors are still alive that the game isn´t over at all.
-
Once I suggested that the hatch should spawn if only 2 Survivors are alive.
But only 1 can escape it.
If one Survivor escapes the other one gets directly into the Mori Animation
If both Survivors get downed the Mori instantly starts playing for the last one getting downed while the other gets sacrificed by the entitus.
If the killer Manages to shut the hatch the gates get powered.
Since we all agree that a 3K is a win as the Killer I see no problem with this way maybe some fine tuning.
-
So you are telling me that these people who go down to M1 Killers in 10 seconds from full life to dying state are the middle ground of the survivor Playerbase?
I mean how can it be that 80% of survivors in 2v8 can´t shift W or predrop a pallet to longer the chase?
-
I havn´t played in the last month so maybe someone can clear it up for me.
It is possible to abandon when you are the only one slugged? Isn´t this the same like going next on hook then?
I only knew that you can abandon the match when all survs are unable to do something like being slugged or hooked but this shouldn´t be possible after the anti slug right? -
But if the Killer is waiting for one Survivor to knock him down all the time, the rest of the Team can pick themself up or am I wrong here?
Likewise you can´t abandon when other Survivors are working with the killer only when he slugs them too.
So abandon should be there to minimize the toxicity of humping, Tbagging is okay? Or should the killer be allowed to abandon when the Exit Gates are open? -

Sometimes I wonder if people actually think that they are making a good argument here or if they think that I am stupid enough to think that they made a good argument.
Your argument is bad and you cannot really compare it.
The Survivor on the ground has to wait up to 4 minutes and can do exactly nothing during this time, except for crawling around with the lowest movement Speed in the game.
The Killer on the other hand has to wait for only up to 2 minutes and also has the ability to make decisions - doing nothing (which would be compareable to the Survivor on the ground), running around farming a few BPs with their power, or forcing the Survivors out. And yes, you might see them spamming a button, but grow up. They are childish, but this only works if you are childish as well. They are just spamming a button, they are not eating your cat or anything.
I would personally not even mind if the Killer can abandon once the Gates are open (which can also be done by the Killer themselves), but I never really saw this as an issue since the EGC exists.
So it would be better that if only 2 Survivors are left the first one touches the ground instantly dies?
-
But are you working on gens when you are the only one alive?
What would be the difference if you and someone else is chasing for the hatch at the same time?
I am exactly like you don´t get me wrong, I am working on gens even if the odds are bad. But my question is if this would fix the Slugging for the 4k.

While neither of these things are particularly fun this is a false equivalency, the slugged survivor has no input in the matter whereas the killer can always hit the survivors out.
So you are telling me that getting the humilation of Toxic behaviour is the same thing as being bored?
In both cases the outcome only changes if the Killer or the Survivor are doing a mistake.
The slugged Survivor could still wiggle out of the grasp of the Killer or recover and get picked up by the fourth mate is the same as the Survivor could get sniped by a random Deathslinger shot and wont escape.
Both is kinda unlikely but "could" happen so all should stay till the game is over.
Just tell me one good reason why the Killer has to endure the Toxic behaviour other than he gets 200 BP for a hit and should be happy.

Yeah, I have no idea why there is no Abandon-Feature. If the Killer wants to waste time for a game they already won, at least the person on the ground should not have to deal with that.

Hey there,
ofcourse it´s a niche situation but aren´t comeback storys supposed to be niche and not the norm?
Even without the 4% there are more things that could happen.
I could have Deliverance or slippery meat.
And to be clear i don´t say remove the abandon, but eventually give it like a group vote or 10 second timer?
-
Just make it more stupid:
The reason for slugging for the 4k isn´t the finisher mori. The reason is killers want the last survivor not escaping with the hatch.
How about if 2 survivors are dead and the third one is downed the hatch spawns.
Now 1 of three things will happen, either the slugged survivor finds the hatch, the standing survivor does, or the killer gets the 4k.
But if the hatch is used the other survivor will be moried on the spot.
Everyone is capable of doing stuff.
Standing survivor can find the hatch.
Slugged survivor has hope to find the hatch.
Killer can get the 4k

straight lie that every game is a full slug fest.Who is saying every game? I'm sure someone has in this thread, but usually people are saying its becoming a more common tactic. If one out of five games is a slugging killer, that's rare enough that its hard to justify a build to counter, common enough to ruin the game.
Have you been the last days online in this forum?
If the Thread isn´t 2v8 related its most likely a slug theme.
So it´s not the survivors fault if they bring Anti Tunnel vs a Slug build
But it´s killers fault if they bring Totems/Aura/Hook builds vs Anti Totem, Aura or Sabo builds?
I have a honest question.
What do we even want?
A stale game where everything is predictable, say same Loops on every map, same playstyle every game, same perks what so ever or do we like dbd cause its not predictable?

Getting something in return is bad game design. Like I'm a survivor main and I'd be fine with nerfing or reworking toolboxes straight up.

Yes and no.
The problem with 'meta' discussions is that if there was a clear one, then yes, it could be countered. Historically, killers have had spreading hooks, spreading pressure, snowballing, tunneling, camping, 3 genning, and slugging as broad overall strategies. If all 4 survivors guess right ahead of time then the killer will probably be in a lot of trouble.
But DbD is a bad game when it becomes a guessing game in the lobby. Not to mention soloq's difficulty in coordinating a strategy.
DbD is an even worse game when you need to bring a perk to counter a strategy. Even if you don't bring the right perks, there are strategies to counter tunneling. Old 3 genning? Did anyone bring potential energy? No? Well, 40 minute game here we come.
Slugging is in the position of old 3 genning. Not only do survivors need to win the guessing game, if they don't, its an incredibly boring game.
So you say…
Survivor bring a complete Anti Tunnel Build with DH DS StB and the Killer has to play into it? Because the other side don´t want a guessing game? (2 out of 16 perks could be Exponentional and don´t need 4 Anti Tunnel perks on all Survivor)
I am confused.
Hasn´t it been always like this. Killers go full Slow down, Survivors go Gen rush.
Killers bring Aura Build, Survivor go Anti Aura.
Killers go Tunnel and Survivor brings Anti Tunnel.
Now it seems like everyone is saying all games are full of Slugging which brings to points.
Either go Anti Slug because Anti Tunnel won´t happen that much or it´s a straight lie that every game is a full slug fest.
-
I have a short question.
If slugging is in every game like some people say, why wouldn´t you take unbreakable, exponantional or we gonna live forever, since DS, StB or DH are useless?
Don´t get me wrong but wouldn´t that be the next step in meta?
Killer won´t hook so why bring anti tunnel? Maybe we need to adept, instead of asking for basekit changes so we can run the same build over and over again?
-
It would be kinda unlikly that someone got his first down after 15 minutes wouldn´t it?
I don´t want to eradicate the DC penalty. I asked if it would be okay to remove it after 15 minutes into a match.
