Well before I respond to this. If you arent having fun playing a game, you shouldn't be playing it. I also don't complain about noed, i like the challenge of this game, I mean some survivors are going to pop early gens, no matter what. But harassing two or 3 and losing a gen for 2-3 man pressure is still a good trade off. Especially if you're able to apply damage/hooks. Forcing survivors to heal and save. More time not spent doing gens. Thats essentially why legion is good, he's good at forcing survivors away from doing gens.Arroz said:@LegitAdventurer said:

Lol You cannot exert mapcontrol on most killers and I refuse to stick to billy or nurse or spirit, they are pretty exhausting to play.
This is false. You play most killers. You can promote map control with any killer. Focus on gens, not survivors. Don't get caught up in a chase for no reason when you can get survivors off gens instead Doesn't work against SWF, once you're chasing somebody they'll tell their buddies to do gens. And I refuse to do 3gen strats. Sure it does. SWF isn't a win all. It's really not. Just because they're SWF doesnt mean You can't apply pressure lol. It sounds like you just need more practice.
Also why would you refuse to do 3 gen strats? That sounds like a personal issue lol.
3 gen only works against bad survivors or randoms in the first place. Why work with ######### gamedesign at all instead of fixing things. I don't need more practice, that's just common knowledge and has been proven again and again and again to the point where us non-billy/nurseplayers are just fed up with explaining.
I don't play nurse or Billy. So should I be fed up with it orrrr...
I defintely think you need more practice because everything you've explained tells me that you're playing killer wrong. Any sort of tunneling will get you "gen rushed" any sort of camping areas too. Chasing survivors needlessly too. Your job as killer is to control the map. If you don't have control over what the survivors are doing, they're only going to do gens.
Just like its a killers job to kill, its a survivors job go do gens. Complaining that all survivors do is gen rush, is the equivalent to saying "wow all that killer did all game was try and kill us as fast as he can woweeewewwww" thats the objective of the game lol
I mean, i did all what you say, apply a lot of pressure (had sloopy butcher, everyone was healing) AND they still pop up 2 gens instantly.. btw i dont complain about gen rushing, they need to escape from a serial killer the fast possible, but it's a asymetrical game.. "G A M E" Game is supossed to be fun, not to be bully by some rushers.. so let's not complain about noed and all will be okay, gonna run noed now..

I don't play nurse or Billy. I'm actually terrible with both of them and I almost never get absolutely smashed with gen rush. Maybe its all that practice i put into Spirit Hag and Legion that made me rubber band all over the map being very disruptive. My current fav being Michael at high ranks. Just being super disruptive and forcing everyone off their gens all game.

Not all killers. But most killers for sure. I'm a switch, I play Killer and Survivor. I never dodge. When I play survivor, I mostly play solo or with one other person and I get dodged so so often. I usually don't even use items, since I attempt to do whatever I can to avoid being dodged. But I'm still wearing my free cosmetics, i dont care what any killer says. i started with these clothes. I'm keeping them lmao.Shad03 said:@LegitAdventurer said:
I can't speak for everyone but the matchmaking has been much better on my end. I still run into wait times as survivor 5-10 minutes but it isnt frequently running passed 10 which was a usual occurrence before. I'm consistently finding games within about 5 minutes, which is awesome because old lobbies were almost always 10+ minutes for every lobby at any given time.Ive noticed the lobbies are mostly mixed up survivor and killer ranks but I'm not too worried about that personally. As long as I can find a game lol. Right?
I'm still being dodged an INSANE amount, but we all know the killers are absolute babies and will dodge anything, at any time. I played solos most of the night. Probably like a 4 hour stretch? And I was dodged at absolute minimum 7 times. I'm sure it was closer to 15 times honestly but I didn't actually count every single dodge lol but that's another story.
-looks at the numerous swf and items hanging around in my basement- Oh, alright. I didn't know murdering people was dodging them. My bad.
Also I myself have not really noticed a difference when I play Solo or not. Course solo ques have been quicker for me in general then playing with my friends.

Everyone has every excuse in the book for why legion is trash because no one can handle change. They explained before Legion dropped that he was going to change the way the game is played. And he does that very well. I also run Legion at Rank 1 and use the same build you do. Legion is soo harassing. Talk about field control.
-
I think thats called...a chase?pootis_Bear said:Someone once said I was tunneling when I continued to follow them right after they threw down a pallet and was at the beginning of the game.
-
This comment section turned into a shi show. This was a joke my friends, you weren't supposed to agree with it. Anything on killer or survivor side is counterable. Even instaheals arent that big of a deal. Adding another 45 seconds to a chase isnt a big deal, even so just go after someone else if it is and make their instaheal for nothing. Keep map pressure and you shouldn't ever have to worry about items. As a killer if "op items and add ons" are even a concern there is a problem haha. Killers also have "op items and add ons" too.
Survivors have instaheals, BNP toolboxes, decisive strike, deadhard, pallet looping, hiding etc.
Just like killers have Mori's, instadowns, aura reading perks, No Ed, camping, tunelling etc.
None of these are "toxic" they're called the game lol. -
Yeah.you have a point there my friend. And I agree with your previois mention that everything that is a tool to get ahead is considered "toxic" on both the survivor and killer side.LegitAdventurer said:

Although I wish that the Legions would change up a bit more? I really enjoy the concept that one Legion breaks pallets, another vaults them. I also totally understand that a killer with 4 completely different abilities would be too OP. So I really like this concept. The switching places around the map is awesome. You could even use the other legion as like...traps? Place them at your totems and switch back and forth between them at any given time. Such a cool concept. I dig this.

And everything i mentioned apart from deadhard and DS was an item right? If the survivors bring 4 insta-meds you're not going to bring lightborn are you? lul
You do realize that items can be picked up again?
-
Franklin's is another strong perk. His other perk knockout can be helpful too, even against SWF groups. Bbq isn't crucial, since it's overall ability has been nerfed pretty hard. But essentially doubling your bloodpoints per game? Defintely worth it.Eveline said:Maybe I should get leatherface if bbq is crucial. Franklins is not bad too. -
I used to main Legion pretty hard and I think No Ed is a pretty bad perk in general. But it's ultimately even worse on legion.
-
Sloppy butchor is a really good perk. This is what I use as my 4th perk in my rancor, STBFL, PWYF build.Master said:M&A, BBQ, ruin, sloppy
If you want to use mori addons or a mori, then you can go for dying light aswell
Bbq and chilli is a Leather Face teachable and if you don't have it, you'll want it for the farm alone. Monitor and Abuse is a Doctor teachable? I believe. Super strong too.
-
There is another thread on this forum with almost the exact same question. I recommend checking it out.
My opinion? Get the spirits teachable rancor and use Save The Best For Last(meyers), Play With Your Food(meyers), Rancor(spirit) and anything else. Maybe Ruin(hag) or just some common perk like No Ed or something. Just make sure if you use this build, rubber band like crazy. Bounce all over the map and be really disruptive. Finding out who the obsession is early so you can start and break chase with them, essentially between every single other chase you start will not only prevent the survivors from doing their objective but also increases your overall speed and melee speed.
I also like to use Dying Light, Remember Me(freddy teachable) together. These two can make a really deadly combo. -
Lol ds already sucked. Idk why they destroyed the perk like this haha. Oh well. I never used it anyway.
-
I would support this. But this is DBD we're talking about. The same game that allowed totems to spawn in rocks and the hatch to spawn under cars and in trees. I doubt that a "fling into random direction" perk would do this game any justice.DudeDelicious said:Franklins Demise should cause the item to be flung a small distance in a random direction. -

Easily counter-able. Franklin's Demise for items.Toolboxes? Run ruin.
Flashlights? Run Lightborn
Deadhard? Wait before swinging
Medkits? As stated, Franklin's Demise. Normal metkits? Sloppy butcher.
DS? Enduring or dribble to the hook.
Not sure how anything you mention is even remotely toxic since these are items in game.
Learn and adapt.

Not only do the SWF's get every single perk in the game, not only do they ALWAYS have an endless supply of purple toolboxes and literally infinite Brand New Parts, not only does every single SWF group start with 4 obsessions every single match no matter what, every single SWF ALSO has at LEAST 4 instaheal medkits, they ALSO all have Dead Hard and AT LEAST 6 flashlights every single game no matter what. THEY ALSO KICKED MY -BADWORD- CAT.SWF is defintely as toxic as the media portrays them to be. Make DBD great again. Remove all the survivors from the game devs. Please. Thank you.
Just lobby dodge until the devs balance stuff, but with such trollposts you will achieve nothing
-
No guys you don't understand. The devs simply need to ban all survivors. Easy fix.
-
This post is almost as toxic as this games community. I feel like there's some sort of unwritten irony in that.
-
My best killers against good players is Spirit, Hag and Legion.
I love playing Myers and Trapper but against good players I get my butt kicked with them unless I play really well. -
I would be cool with this if there was one positive ailment as well. To even the perk out, like one of the survivors gets healed a health state. Or a sprint burst. Or 20 seconds of action time.
Otherwise there's no drawback to the perk. Makes it a little too strong. Even if just a percentage of a chance for a survivor to gain a positive buff. -

If this is how you "play the game" then why wouldnt you just delete the game and play something else lol. You're saying killers actually feel content, hopping from lobby to lobby, literally endlessly until they essentially find a game full of, what "looks like" a lobby full of potatoes? Where is the fun in that? Lol.Master said:@LegitAdventurer said:
ATOMIC_ACE_PUGG said:I wont stop dodging until they balance swfs. They too much of an advantage
Then why did I just get dodged as a solo? With two other solos? Why play the game at all if you don't want to play the game? Lol
You cant tell anymore whether you are SWF or not since the devs changed lobbies. Now you have to assume everyone is SWF and dodge according to items basically.
Also if someone else in your lobby has bad ping and doesnt dodge, then the killer will dodge everyone since he cant kick a single guy, same applies to "blacklisted toxic survivors"
Plus at the end of the day every single lobby looks exactly the same. So under those pretences, killers will dodge over and over until they quit playing for the day. Idk man. I don't get it.
I play both killer and survivor. I've never dodged a game in my life lol. -

I really enjoy the build I'm running with Myers, i use Play With Your Food, Save The Best For Last, Rancor, Bbq.
This build is focused on complete team harassment. If you're good at rubber banding around the map this build is for you. Chase the obsession constantly, without hitting them. Get your speed and swing rate up. Fight everyone else mercilessly and get a tasty mori in end game, assuming survivors are able to get that far.
I also like to use the inverse build Remember Me/Dying Light. And i guess like BBQ, Ruin. Something like that.
This is the complete opposite, chase and down the obsession as fast as you can. You don't want to completely camp the hook, because you want to get all of your tokens for remember me but you want to remove the obsession from the game as soon as you can. Tunnel away. -
I've played against a Spirit who used Insidious and oh boy. The mind games were so real. Basically by the time she starts phase walking/faking out the phase walk, insidious kicks in so there is no heartbeat etc. Scary stuff.
-
A friend of mine i play with sometimes, makes killers DC constantly because hes so good at jukes and mind games. He isn't even a teabagging toxic flashlight survivor either. He's just really, really good at not getting hit. Its annoying to play with him sometimes because killers will chase him for like 3 gens and then DC cuz they never caught him lol.
-
I always try and get some chase and hit points but for the most part i just farm. Get a couple hooks but not kill anyone. I usually let them escape if anyone DC's. Being 2/4 survivors to repair 5 gens is basically impossible.
-
Really? I was under the impression that Hag and Huntress were low tier? Either way I'm awful with Billy, Bubba, Doctor. I'm okay with Trapper. I love playing as Spirit, Legion, Hag, Myers and Huntress the most.Weederick said:@LegitAdventurer said:

I pretty much play the game exactly the same against SWF and against solos.
-
I used to main Legion for a while after release but after playing more survivor and rank 1 killer ive learned how EASY he is to dodge. Feral blurs your vision so bad that evading Legion is a cake walk.
Everyone just likes to cry OP instead of learning counter strategies. -
I've never played as Freddy but slugging seems to be a legitimate strat with him, just like it is Spirit. Seems super useful tbh.NoodleLegs said:so i already commented but i bought two new dlc's recently and I have to add Freddy and Quentin. A big part of this is, neither side is going to agree with eachother. Some people play every single match, don't dodge, don't DC, get good experience on both sides(both killer and survivor) and it drastically increases their ability to play both sides well. The other side just wants to complain that the game is too difficult and disconnect every time the game isn't going the way they want it too.
At the end of the day nobody can decide which side is right or wrong, so lets all just stop arguing and having this pissing contests. The game is set up the way that it is, and thats it. I'm not saying wether I believe it is right or wrong. In my personal experience I don't have trouble playing against SWF because I also play SWF and it isnt some auto win option for survivors. It's a very similar experience playing against/with solos as it is SWF at the end of the day.
All we can do is help eachother with good strategies to take down good survivors, yano? As a killer I found playing survivor and learning the mind games to help me out tremendously. And applying pressure instead of camping and tunneling. Whenever I camp or tunnel as killer, I find myself getting wrecked because I'm not stopping anyone from doing gens, why would they stop? Lol that isn't an SWF issue. Any survivor who starts a gen, isn't going to just walk away unless the killer is pursuing him. That's the survivors role. -
I forgot about this post! Yay positivity.

It's not about beating SWF it's about the obvious advantage they get from coms, How can you not see the imbalances?
Here's a list of all the information that can be shared by over voice coms, You tell me if it's game braking or not.- Where the Killer is at all Times.
- Where the other survivors are.
- Killer's add ons if they effect survivors.
- When to Hide.
- When to Save.
- When another Survivor is being chased.
- When It's safe to work on a Gen.
- What Pallets have been used.
- The Wiggle progress bar of other survivors and if to take hits.
- Where the good loops are.
- Where Totems are and how many have been cleansed.
- Where Traps are placed.
- What traps have been Disarmed, Triggered or flash lighted.
- Where Gens are.
- What Gens are completed.
- What Gens have been Kicked.
- If the Doors are Open.
- What Doors are Open.
- Where Hatch is.
*Once used, they know Killer perks like Iron grasp, agitation, spirit fury, enduring, Brutal strength, Bamboozle, Overcharge and a lot more. - Aura reading Perks if one survivor has Distortion.
- Counter Blindness Perks like Hex: Third Seal and Knockout.
and probably more, They have eyes on the map and have the potential to know everything that happens from start to finish.
Sure, but they also have to effectively communicate it to each other which is difficult and doesn't happen often. Besides, SWF also have a different playstyle. Two specific things about their playstyle is that they tend to work on the same gens and they are extremely altruistic. Simply because of the two features you can play around their advantages. Also, SWF communication can sometimes even be used against them.

That just kinda sums up the gaming community as a whole lol. "This is too hard, instead of getting better myself, they have to make the game easier for me"
This is a rubbish response. The game was never designed around coordinated voice chat, hence why no in-game voice chat. It’s near impossible for a single player to combat such strategy because they can’t be damaging/guarding gens and chasing/downing survivors at the same time, no matter how skilled a killer they are at both of these essential gameplay mechanics.
I make 4k's every game against any type of team, including DS flashlight Adrenaline "toxic" SWFs, on high ranks as what's called the "weakest" killer in the game. Maybe you guys really do need to just git gud.
And funny story, I got hate mail for being a camper with an OP build yesterday because I used The Spirit with Hex: Haunted Ground, Devour Hope, Thrill Of The Hunt and Ruin.
I was laughing so hard. I mori'd everyone with Devour and got called a CAMPER looool. How even? Anyway. They said I had an OP build. Like cmon. How is all of my perks being in totems OP? Every single one of my perks is counterable. This community makes me laugh lol
Edit: They were red ranks SWF as well. So idk how they didnt use their OP 15 perk builds to find all my totems and insta counter me like everyone says all SWFs do. -
All of my games tonight as killer I played against SWF groups(trust me they allllll messaged me, talking so much ######### as a group, sad days) and I didnt lose a single game. Either every game I played was a 3k or a 4k. And I'm in high ranks (I'm only purple instead of red for once) but that didn't stop the survivors from being mostly red ranks all night.
So stop all this fooie. You guys can be good too. I'm not even the most skilled killer, I just play both sides consistently at red ranks and never dodge or DC. Makes me better at both sides.
