Personally I think Killers should get 5 perks but one of them would be a “None combat” perk. So some hexes and a few other perks that don’t help the killer due damage but help in other ways. Perhaps Brutal Strength or Crowd Control.
In that case I would use Shadowborn on Wesker more often.

Yeah, some players suggest removing her lullaby entirely, but that would actually make her deceptively strong. It's not like Wraith where she has a lengthy/slow uncloak. She'd just show up, and get free hits. Constantly, with almost no counterplay since she's relatively quiet too.
The problem with giving her a global lullaby is that she'd curbstomp noobs even harder than she already does. Keep in mind she has pretty high killrate already. But, if she we keep her lullaby, her stealth remains worthless against decent survivors. It's a bit of a dilemma.
She only has a high kill rate because of 2 addons.

There should really be some sort of ping limiter. That Bubba hit was absolutely crazy but it happens all the time. It's a shame killers can also use VPN to their advantage and make their ping just bad enough to land hits like that. I really hope this gets more attention than all the other stuff in this forum. Thanks for bringing it up with a video :)
You used to have that before the age of servers because DBD used to be p2p. I wish we could have that back since I do not fancy going against killers who get those hits.

I just think making her teleports unable to go through solid objects without an iri addon would be enough really, and even then she'd still be broken.
That was the iridecent addon for 3 blinks at one point. and nobody used it. why? because it was a nightmare on all indoor maps or even on normal maps with large structures. Her base-movementspeed is just too low for this. Imagine playing on Midwich, hearing a gen above you, needing both blinks to go to a staircase and then walk all the way up with 95% and then blink again. Same goes for Lery's.

Offering counterplay is not "punishing." Just because the killer only has one objective left doesn't at all mean they should be able to secure it with zero effort and zero counterplay.
I play both sides. Not disabling the anti-camp mechanic during EGC would put the killer in a loose-loose situation. Same would be for blocking the Killer's power when camping.
What you call counterplay is giving you a free unhook so you can escape. There IS counterplay against the Killer's you mentioned. It's just not easy. And you did not answered my statement. What about Nurse and Blight?
-
@Technature said:
Yes. I, too, would like the killer to have the threat level of a toothless and particularly small poodle.
Camping should be a legitimate strategy when the EGC is happening, period. Some killers are simply better for it than others, and part of being a good survivor is knowing when to cut your losses. Also.
"I didn't say anything about making it impossible to camp in endgame did I?"
"I can understand the anti-camp system being disabled in endgame being more fair for the average killer, but that's not a luxury these other killers should get."
PICK ONE!
True.
@1ettuce said:
Bubba, hillbilly, oni, plague, huntress (particularly with cooldown addons or iri head), trickster, pyramid head, stbfl, myers, pinky finger, original pain, etc.
All these killers/tools allow killers to pretty much guarantee or near guarantee a kill for free just by camping someone on the hook. I can understand the anti-camp system being disabled in endgame being more fair for the average killer, but that's not a luxury these other killers should get.
It is so unarguably stupid that a bubba can get their first down in the endgame and then guarantee they die just by camping the hook. As survivor it doesn't matter how good you are or how well you played the rest of the game, if the killer has someone hooked in endgame, they're gonna die and that's that unless someone has deliverance.
I have no problem with the general endgame camping scenario where survivors can coordinate a 4 out if they work well together, it's when these tools are involved that it's a big issue.
Obviously I don't mind if any buffs are implemented to compensate for any of these things becoming worse at camping, especially myers, I definitely don't think Myers needs a net nerf.
Maybe a hot take but getting to endgame with 4 survs alive is way WAY more deserving of a 4 out than getting 1 hook is deserving of any kills, as to say, getting a single hook doesn't deserve a kill *in the slightest*
What else can a killer do in EGC than guarding their hook? All gens are done and the rest of survivors would like to get the 4man out with some tbags at the gate. It would be very unfair to punish killers for their only objective at that sate. Regardless of how good they are with it.
Interesting that neither Nurse or Blight are on your list....
Because if they want you, they will get you.

1. As someone who has played PUBG and WOT in the past: voice chat in dbd would be a horrible idea for reasons stated here:
@Seraphor said:
Not gonna happen. Most do not want this and it will make the game actively worse for it. Nobody wants 12 year olds screaming racial slurs at them, or people playing their terrible staticy music down their mic, or just randos telling them what to do. If this was in the game, it would be considered the default, so survivors who opt out would be dodged or sandbagged, and the game would end up having to be balanced around it, which means those who do opt out would be even worse off.
Voice Chat already exists as an opt in system, find other players and join them on discord.
2. Instead of voice commands I would like something similar of a ping system or pre-written message system like the one on mobile. There you can click on messages like "the killer is near me", "I go rescue", "focus on gens", "don't finish this Gen" and more. These messages are then shown to the others for a few seconds.

I would like to see a bit more variance in perks. So please look at them and make them more useful.

Most of us can admit that playing solo queue with 3 potato teammates that either leave you to die on the hook while they haven't been hooked once just sucks. On top of that, those survivors that join the game and are absolutely useless in the fact that they aren't touching gens and instead just running around the map doing NPC activities like cleansing dull totems also suck. I propose that since SWF most of the time have comms through discord or some sort of platform where they can communicate with each other, it would only be fair that could also be done for players who are solo queuing. They should add an ingame survivor voice chat to be able to communicate with your teammates since all survivors in the match have the same objective and can help each other out with comms and maybe even ask one of the team mates to pull up to a side of the map to work on gens or heal instead of having to run around the entire map looking for your teammates to heal you. Feel like this would make the game a lot more enjoyable and fun to queue by yourself as you can also make friends this way easier and queue up with those guys and play a couple of games. Thoughts bois?
On mobile they have some type of quick chat. You can say that you are going 4 the rescue or that the killer camps you for example. I would like that
-
What perks are you talking about? Hex:Devour Hope and Rancor? How make these perks the game unfair? The first is gone once you find the totem and needs 5 hooks for the killer, giving you a notification at 3. The other one is only for the obsession after all gens are completed.

The reason I don't like dodging is because it messes with matchmaking, and BHVR have confirmed this. Lobbies where 5 players are initially grouped up together are supposedly higher quality than lobbies where there is backfill, the killer leaves and another killer takes their place, etc.
So anything that encourages dodging will theoretically cause lower quality matches. Also the whole dilemma of people being tunneled out due to their prestige, etc. I just think the game would be better off with it hidden until the scoreboard.
True.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/375723/idea-for-a-new-laboratory-map
I've always liked the lab from the first RE movie personally. I bet the DBD graphics folks could come up with yet another awesome visual spectacle making that.
But for gameplay and performance issues I loath all indoor maps myself. Perhaps some of the streets of Racoon City could be re-created lovingly by them.
I don't know if they would ever use something from the movies because these are their own thing and many people don't really like them because they have nothing to do with the games.
The City itself could be a map too, since it is featured in RE3.
I don't mind indoor maps as long as they are reasonable playable. Sure if you like to play Nurse, Huntress or Billy (or similar) you usually hate these type of maps, but as someone who used to play Myers a lot a while ago (nowadays I am a Wesker main), I think indoor maps are OK.
The old HNL had the problem that at least 2 Gens were extremely safe (upside-down room and isolation cell) because you needed to go all the way up. If the Survivors left those 2 Gens for last (what they usually did) you were screwed. And sometimes you were "blessed" with at least one other Gen on the catwalks. But other than that, I really liked this map. It had windows and pallets (some too safe) had plenty of places to trigger BL, had cool interactions and a nice size as I remember. It was also one of the better maps for totems and Mirror Myers as you could grab people on gens more easily than on reworked Lèry's.
They would need to fix the old problems with that map (and other indoor maps too) and place semi safe loops in it. Not the window heaven of Lèry's, not the pallet heaven of The Game, but something in-between.

-"Maybe they can do it as an Umbrella Lab as second Resident Evil map."
That's a great idea that will likely never happen. Another great thing about the Hawkins map was that it was a fair size. No map larger than 9000m² is fair for the "regular" move speed killers.
-"They do medium pallets a lot now"
Lol are we playing a different game? No they don't. Most pallets are part of a jungle gym or rock structure where it's super safe to loop.
Since you mentioned it look at garden of joy. If you look at the front door of the house then at the back right facing you have a jungle gym. That's a safe pallet and so is the one attached to the house and so is the optional one inside the house.
There's several "filler" rock pallets that are completely safe. The truck loop in front of the house is safe. The car park pallet loop is safe. The Jungle gym near car park is safe. And we all know shack pallet is always safe.
There's usually one weak pallet somewhere on the map but you almost miss it because of all the other 100% get out of jail free pallets.
Are you sure you know what safe/unsafe is? Both of the pallets around cars near the outside of Badham main building are unsafe. they are "fair" pallets where the killer can earn a hit via mindgame.
What we don't have anymore are "unsafe" pallets. Remember those incredibly weak pallets kinda in the middle of nowhere on the old Haddonfield? It was like 3 steps around a tree+ a pallet.
Those are fair to have in the game when we have lots of god pallets. One of the things people forget about "old" maps is that they had a lot of "trash" pallets.
OK these loops on GoJ are safe. I looked at the map again and yeah, they are extremely safe.
-
@DBDVulture said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3428936#Comment_3428936
Actually "the game" would be fine if most of the pallets were unsafe. But largely speaking the developers dont use unsafe pallets anymore.
One of the reasons that the Stranger Things map was good is because it had a lot of "weak" pallets.
Imagine if "the game" had 25 pallets but there were only 2 god pallets. What a thought right?
They do medium pallets a lot now but the problem is that they often chain together with stronger tiles (Garden of Pain, Square). I think the design on The Game is problematic because of the general Layout. You have the stairs, all the high shelves and boxes. A start would be to remove one of the 2 pallets beside basement and in the control room as well as having only 1 pallet at the corner stairs. Weaken the pallet below the god window drop and shorten the shelf/box loops to be actual mindgamable. You can see every killer over the boxes beside Sadako I think. Add some Windows on the top floor (like that one on one of the Midwich exit) for Lithe users.
I remember the Hawkins Lab map, I liked it a lot, but many people hated it because there were many very save Gen spawns (upside-down room, isolation cell and if unlucky gens could spawn on the railings too). But otherwise it was OK and I miss it. I would like if they made a similar map without the ST reference. Maybe they can do it as an Umbrella Lab as second Resident Evil map.

-"So you are complaining that if the whole enemy team is better then you, then you should still win somehow? Why? How is that fair?"
Funny you should say that but because of the extremely generous map designs and game mechanics of things like "shift W" most of the killer roster requires you to be massively better at the killer role than they are at survivor just to be on even footing.
Nurse and Blight are skill based. If you play well you crush people who do not loop perfectly. Most of the other killers usually end up in situations where they are literally powerless. Say you're Pig on "the game" and someone throws a god pallet. That means the chase is "over" unless you stop to break the pallet at most loops.
"The Game" should have less pallets anyway. As someone who uses WoO I can see how many god pallets are right next to each other or at stairs right on top of each other. And on that map it's insane. I know Midwich has more pallets, but they are usually mindgameable and I never feel so helpless on Midwich as on The Game unless I am Nurse or Spirit.

This is not the first month I got iri1 on killer. Considering soft cap exists, we do get same survivors (as supaalf and lilithomen and onepumpwillie)...
Also. I do get such hopeless games from time to time. But most killer games are chill (at least to me), while as survivor you will loose good chunk of your games even if you play picture-perfect (provided you don't have good 3 teammates at ready). Now considering you also loose some when it is your fault, survivor is just too hard and I prefer chill killer experience...
For me it depends on the killer I play. Sadako is pretty chill since most people don't know what to do vs the Full Condemned strategy, but when I play my main Wesker, the matches are usually quite tough since I can't to the funny stuff consistently yet (and I did not succeed in doing the hug-tech yet as well). I am working on this though :D. Myers is usually a pain since I don't use insta stalk or TS (I love Rabbit & Mirror Shard), whereas Spirit is usually chill. Huntress, Nurse & PyH are about 50/50 because I am only ok with them.

I have to disagree. Camping and tunneling was huge before the gen regression perks were NERFed. I'm not saying there isn't a problem, but using gen speed as an excuse to tunnel and camp is bull. Most do it at 5 gens anyway. Maybe camping and tunneling has caused "gen rushing".
I think it's a devil's cycle.
Survivors learnt how to be effective and loop better -> killers use slow downs -> survivors adapt to that -> camping and tunneling -> BT basekit, no more tunnel mori -> even more tunneling -> even faster gens -> healing nerf -> faster gens ->...
I think that many killers start to camp & tunnel at 5 gens to be prepaired, because they know gens will fly anyways. The problem is that they don't stop doing it when the team is stuggling to begin with.

My friend you can hide your playtime in Steam
I know, but I don't really care about killers dodging me, because they only see numbers and just think I have to be a god or something. I play this game for 4.5 years now and just have fun (most times).
@MrMori said:
I say we hide all survivor prestiges from the killer in pre-game lobby by default. Even make it so survivors don't see other survivors prestige either unless you're queued with them. You couldn't see other peoples ranks before they reworked it into grades, or prestiges unless you were in a party with them. So why now?
I kind of get it when the system was fresh that BHVR wanted to show off the system, but we're accustomed to it now. Hide it from killer to improve killers dodging lobbies. Hiding it from survivors too would be good, since some survivors also dodge lobbies if they see low prestige survivors on their team.
The quality of matches decreases when people dodge lobbies, and I'm certain that visible prestige is big reason for many dodges.
Players who just look at numbers don't get it. Prestige=/=skill. It just shows what your favourite character is. I bet some people don't even know that prestige is not used for matchmaking.
@DrKetchup said:
I find it funny that some killers back out when they see a P100. Now what I'm about to say is just speculation. Before the Prestige update, I observed that I'd have way fewer killers quitting the lobby when I had my Steam profile on private, I guess some killers check for the hours you have and bailout? Perhaps prestige is a similar phenomenon?
I have 6k hrs. Some killers dodge me since I have half of that playtime. But I don't really care about it.
-
I know what you mean but I would rather have 10-15 decent addons than 2-5 and only seeing these being used. Therefore I would like it more if they would rework and buff addons instead of adding this feature. I do not fancy to see even more Blights with Ring, C33 and what not.

But kids absessed with easy wins (until they get to big boys, get wrecked and start to cry of OP perks and "genrush")

Regardless if I am playing Killer or Survivor; I never ragequit. Ragequitting is for people who can't handle losing in a PvP game, and instead makes excuses why it's not their fault they're quitting.
And since they're making excuses; they never learn to get better, and thus always make more excuses and continue to ragequit.
I rarely DC and if, then because of a bug or because I'm really mad. Really really mad. Most times I will continue to play because I do not want to be a bad teammate. And if I see no use in continuing playing killer I just go somewhere to a corner and afk.

There are ways to prevent camping (I would start with removing graps), but you can't really fix tunneling.
All suggestions I saw were either useless or could be abused. I don't really care about tunneling. I still get a chase.
Face camping from first hook is worse imo, it's simply boring for everyone.
My idea to prevent camping especially with strong camping powers would be this:
1) A killer can't use their power in a 16m radius around the hook, which is the distance the game grants you minus-points for "proximity to the hook". We already have this for certain killers: Artist, Twins, Skullmerchant, Knight or Dredge. Bubba, Billy, Oni, Huntress, Myers, Slinger, Nurse, Blight, Doctor, Wraith, GF, Pig(?), Hag(?), Trapper(?) and PyH should not be able to use their power around a hook. These are killers with insta-downs or killers with a very strong base-kit, range attack or the ability to tunnel easily. Those marked with (?) can be good at camping certain spots or because they have inbuilt Insidious. Problematic killers to fix around hooks: Plague (red vomit) and Wesker (vs. fully infected survivor). Since plague collects her range attack somwhere on the map, you cannot simply say that she looses it around the hook, but maybe she should just not be able to puke at all around a hook. Wesker can insta-down a completely infected survivor who is going for the hook. Sure the survivor could spray themselves but this reveals your location which can be tricky in certain scenarios. here I think it would suffice to make a bound dash attack against a fully infected (and healthy) survivor a normal grab and throw. This could be abused against both killers though which is not ideal. This should also only span one floor too to make 2 floor maps not abusable. basement should count as one floor though.
2) Remove healthy grabs. I am fine if an injured person can be grabbed, but if a healthy person unhooks this should be a trade.
3) If the killer stays in 16m around a hook or returns to that area after 5s, gen speed is increased for all other survivors by (insert reasonable number here)% as long as no other survivor is present in said area.
@RaSavage42 said:
So if that happens then when will Survivors be punished for completing a Gen from 0
When will players stop stroking their egos for escaping when the Killer doesn't Camp or Tunnel
When will players stop getting upset when their plan doesn't go right
When will players stop getting upset for a Killer being played
When will players stop getting upset for certain perks being used
When will BHVR do more to help their game thrive
Never. Because they can, because they want it easy (like the killers who just camp & tunnel).

I have been asking for a seperate key binding option for different perks now for at least 2 years now. But they didn't do it. Maybe they don't want certain perks to work together who knows.

Ah yes, because why should the Killer have perks Survivors need to ever think about?
Just give them all audio clues so Survivors are never caught off guard. Ever.
It was like since Nurse came out and was changed maybe a year ago for a reason I do not know. This is not to make killers "bad" or survivors having it "easy". It's about fairness. Now I don't know why the killer keeps finding me because I have no feedback anymore. Other information perks like Nowhere To Hide, BBQ, Discordance etc can be found out because they have a trigger (kicking a Gen, being far from the hook, co-op on a Gen), whereas Stridor has not. You used to hear you being louder, but they removed that from the survivor's pov. Now you could basically guess if the killer has Stridor, has Crows or is cheating until the end. And even then you would need to wait until you can say for sure.
That's why I want the feedback back. I want to know if I can go for flashy saves while being injured or not. I want to know if the killer would hear me and that I should probably heal etc...
Not to make it harder for killer or easier for survivor.

No problem!
I assume they will at some point. Some people don't want it because they love the old re1 remake while others think the mechanics are still pretty dated. I'm a fan of an re1 remake. It does feel tedious at points now.
I think re5 will lasso eventually get remade (and I think this will happen before re1). Re5's controversy is overblown. The short of it is that people claim that re5 taking place in Africa with Chris (a white male) being the primary protagonist promotes racism. This can certaintly be an issue in games but RE5 is not the case. There wasn't much controversy when it was released and I don't think that will be the case nowadays either.
Umbrella chronicles was a blast and I'd love for it to be remade (darkaide chronicles too) to have some short stories to fill in gaps between games better. The Outbreak games I'd love to be remade since I missed out in them. They had some unique enemies (zombie zoo animals for example) and it was 4 player coop but like a typical re game. These really ought to be remade.
Really? I know that D. C. Douglass had a controversy going on and that many people will probably not accept another voic actor for Wesker, although here in dbd it worked well.
But that some people were mad about Chris being in Africa? Oh my... How far have we fallen?
I would also like an update for RE0 too. The only thing they need to change for RE1 is to get rid of the fixed camera, get the new graphics and polish Chris' campaign a bit since if you do it like the idiot me and do him first, you miss a lot of the story.

The short of it was most felt that it was overall too action focused, too long, cooperative, not scary, almost all new characters were disliked, and it had an awful plot. I won't go into too much details on any of the plot related stuff though.
For me though I was okay with it not being as horror focused. I was much more upset about most of the characters all being bad. All of the main villains fall into either awful writing, recycling old ideas, or just being outright boring. I did like Jake (Sherrys partner) a lot (many people disagree unfortunately) while Helena (the partner in Leon's campaign) was just okay to me. Piers (chris's partner) was super vanilla and possibly my least liked character in the entire mainline series. Chris was basically a whole different character from 5. Leon was done very well. Sherry was also very good. Ada was fine. I liked sherrys campaign a lot while Leon's felt the most classic resident evil to me. Chris's felt like discount gears of war. The overall plot is just awful in the game. Some parts (like sherry and Jake's inclusion) are well done though. I do think the mechanics of the game are very well done though. I think the gameplay is very solid and it's a lot of fun. I'd go as far to say it had the best gameplay mechanics than any of the prior games and they still hold up well. The mercenaries mide is very popular and I like it. The QTEs were too much in it. Overall I think I like RE6 more than most people. It's a fun time if you aren't going into it expecting a decent story. I'd love for it to be remade with a much better plot
OK thx.
Do you think they will do a new RE1 Remake? I hope they do some of the side titles like UC or integrate them into the main line. I know that UC has a lot of back story on how Wesker escaped the mansion and I would like to play it and not just watch it on YT.
Or will they do a RE5 remake first? Although I heard that seems to be another controversy for a reason I don't get.

Lady D could be a legendary skin for Artist.
Mr x for nemesis
Jack krauser from re4 for wesker
Lisa Trevor could be a new killer
Ashley and Luis from re4 could be survivors
I like Jake a lot from re6 but I doubt they would use anything from re6 since it's hated by most re fans sadly
I haven't played RE6 yet, but I also heard that it was not so well recieved. Why is that?

Legendary Jack Baker skin for The Hillbilly with the chainsaw scissors please.
Oh yes! I saw that somewhere but didn't know the name.

So for which killers would Mr. x and Lady Dimitrescu be legendarys?
i think Mr. X would work as Myers legendary but sadly that not really possible due to different licenses?
also I would love to see Moira Burton as a Rebecca legendary.
also, this girl from Ghost Survivor DLC with this specific accessory as a legendary:

I thought of Nemesis for Mr. X since they are similar tall although it would be strange to see him with a tentacle. And for Lady D I thought of Plague, as I remember a mod which swapped her bodymodel.

I really think it's the timing.
When you were unhooked there is a very brief moment where OTR was still triggering shortly after that the last generator went on while you were still in the process of unhooking -> OTR was disabled and adrenalin was not triggered.
I think it was just a couple of circumstances with unfortunate timing that will be hard for the Dev-Team to fix. As you said yourself, this has only happened once so far.
OTR does not change my status. I had OTR active many times (with endurance still intact) and it did not make problems. Usually Adre should trigger independent of your status. Maybe it was because of the i-frames during the unhook.
-
I just got the same problem.
My router restarted during the end game screen, the game saying it had a safe-game error and i should restart. I waited until my internet was back up again and then i got this:
with that message popping up afterwards:
Since I don't even have an NVIDIA card, I followed some posts here
Lost Ark, also known as LOA, is a 2019 MMO action role-playing game co-developed by Tripod Studio and Smilegate. It was released in South Korea in December 2019 by Smilegate and in Europe, North America, and South America in February 2022 by Amazon Games.and deleted the file.
It did not solve the problem, but removed the EAC complaint. I also checked the integrety of the files but it didn' work.
Here is the log:

That's really strange.
My guess is that it has something to do with OTR. This will be deactivated when the last generator has been finalized. At the same moment that the unhook happened, it was still active very shortly before. Maybe adrenaline was deactivated for some reason too, I don't know the exact code in the background, but it also has to do with an extra hit/health state (OTR / adrenaline).
I have been running this combo for a long while and never had issues.

Myers is one of the worst killers in the game, maybe the worst. I'm really conflicted on whether he's the worst but it's a matter of personal opinion, but we all know he's horrible. He needs a host of buffs, or he needs a rework. Because as it is now, the ONLY thing this killer has is infinite tier 3 and the tombstone add-ons. If he did not have this add-ons he'd be the worst killer in the game no doubt about it, and it's sad he has to really on these add-ons to even function on higher levels of play.
Because as we all know, the tombstone add-ons are kind of not fun. Like at all, call me crazy but I don't think you should be rewarded a free kill for simply getting to tier 3. I love the Halloween movies, and it's a shame that one of the biggest horror movie icons out there is so horrible the game. He needs something, I'd prefer him to get a complete rework (that keeps his core concept of course) along with an addon rework because most of his add-ons are pretty bad other than the before mentioned infinite tier 3 and tombstone add-ons. Dead rabbit is pretty good though, and that green one that gives you more stalk if you're stalking the obsession. But other than that, rest of his add-ons are trash. I think that tombstone add-ons are pretty unhealthy for the game and should be removed and made into different add-ons altogether. I wouldn't know how to change him other than obviously making him a lot better (shocker right???), I'm not a game designer but if anyone has any ideas feel free to comment them. Till next time see ya
First of all I agree that he needs a buff and the Tombstone Piece needs a nerf.
I already posted 2 different ideas of how to buff him here ages ago (the last one was over 2 years ago). Here is the link:
@LapisInfernalis said:
Since Myers is one of the 2 remaining Killers, who don't conform with the add-on rules (the other being Huntress), I thought of how I would do a little add-on rework for our Stalky Boi. This also includes some buffs to him as well since he's a bit outdated/ powercreeped. I tried to keep the original idea of the add-ons in mind while making them a bit more interesting.
These are just examples. Please give me constructive criticism and don't kill me, ok?
BUFFS
Evil Within I:
- Grants the Undetectable Status Effect
- Grants Detection Immunity <- The same as before the addition of the Undetectable Effect. To hinder Spine Chill, Object & Premonition to give any information on Myers. Makes early stalking somewhat easier.
- Slightly decreased Movement speed (110 %). <- (was 105%) To give him some extra mobility at the beginning and to get Stalk a bit easier
- Slightly decreased Lunge range (open time: 0.4 s). <- (was 0.2 s) I don't know the exact value Boyfriend's Memo adds, but I thought of this. i.e. Gives room for another add-on with Scratched Mirror.
- Regular Vaulting speed (1.7 seconds)
Why? Myers' EWI is more a hindrance than anything else. Good Survivors or a ######### map (looking at you Coldwind Farm!) can starve you of stalk, making it extremely hard to get to EWII. The slow MS and no bloodlust make it even harder. Therefore the MS buff to 110%. Detection Perks are quite problematic in EWI as well. Even if the Survivors can't hear you (except they hear your Darth Vader like breathing), they still get notified by Spine Chill, a very commonly used perk, even in red ranks. That survivor is GONE, before you have the chance to stalk. Same goes for Premonition or Object. Object still lights up, when you are looking at the killer, giving you a direction where he is.
But wouldn't that be too strong? No. You want this game to be a bit scarier, don't you? I loved the dread at the beginning of the match when you didn't know what killer it was. I was always on the lookout for a Myers sneaking around. I would like to have that back. By chosing a good positioning, you can make it really hard to grab you from the gen.
Evil Within II:
No changes.
Evil Within III:
- Regular Terror Radius (32 metres).
- Regular Movement speed (115 %).
- Slightly increased Lunge range (open time: 0.6 s).
- Moderately reduced Pallet (and Breakable Wall) breaking time (15%) <- Make him more dangerous. Like a litte Brutal Strength.
- Moderately increasing Pallet stun recovery (25%) <- Same as above. Like a little Enduring.
- Moderately increased Vaulting speed (1.275 seconds).
- When triggered, all Survivors suffer from the Exposed Status Effect.
- Evil Within III lasts for 60 seconds, after which it regresses to Evil Within II.
Why? Myers has little in-build ways of shortening the chase and he needs to build up his insta down every time. Oni i.e. can do this by hitting survivors during a chase and gets a lot of mobility during his Dash. I thought of making Myers a bit more dangerous, so that everyone should watch out and don't let him get his stalk! And for myself, nothing was more scary than Myers with BS, Spirit Fury & Enduring a long time ago. But now with the gen speeds and his insanely slow early game he needs gen regression or slow down perks like Pop or Sloppy. This is why I decided to buff EWIII with these effects. I'm not sure if they should stack with the perks or not though.
Stalking:
- The default Stalk Point requirement for each Tier is 5 Stalk Points. <- (was 6) easier to calculate :)
- Stalk Points are obtained by stalking Survivors.
- Each Trial features a reservoir of 40.4 Stalk Points distributed evenly amongst all four Survivors for 10.1 Stalk Points each.
- When a Survivor disconnects, the remaining Stalk Points of that Survivor are distributed equally to the other remaining survivors. <- So that a DC doesn't screw you over when needing a lot of Stalk (i.e. when doing the Evil Incarnate Achievement).
- Default Stalk range is 40 metres from The Shape. <- (was 2.5m to 39.85m) same as Ghost Face
- The Stalk efficiency decreases slightly with distance, ranging from 1 SP/s (100 % efficiency) to 0.33 SP/s) (33 % efficiency). <- (was 0.8333 SP/s at 100% and 0.08333 at 10%) It would be a bit hard to get "99ed" from 40m away in 5s so I thought buffing the numers would do something at least.
- This means that the Stalk Time requirement for one Tier of Evil Within ranges from 5 seconds (100 % efficiency) to 15 seconds) (33 % efficiency). <- (was 6s up to 60s) lessens the pain of stalking someone in the distance, without making it too strong.
- Once The Shape reaches Evil Within II, he has no means to return back to Evil Within I.
- The colour of a Survivor's outline while being stalked determines how many Stalk Points or evil is left in them, ranging from white (Evil available) to red (Evil depleted).
- Use the Active Ability Button (CTRL) to unleash EWIII. <- You will never accidentally use EWIII again while trying to 99 it. No need to stalk the last bit. [Edit: This needs some audio cue (like that from Oni). I thought of that eerie tone that indicated him staking you when he came out in 2016. In the Wiki it's the tune which is listed at the Evil Within I section of Myers' page]
Why? His salking mechanic is outdated and inferior to that of GF. I can understand that it would be too strong to give him the same stalk speed at 40m like right in front of him. By tweaking the numbers, I think that his stalking will be better but not OP.
ADD-ON REWORK
Judith's Tombstone (Ultra Rare)
A large and heavy granite tombstone stolen from Mt. Sinclair cemetery, belonging to Judith Myers.
- Kill healthy or injured Survivors with Evil Within III.
- Kill the last remaining Survior in a Locker with Evil Within III. <- No more locker hopping to deny the Evil Incarnate Achievement. At least for the last survivor. Maybe make this standard with a new nice Mori animation where Myers pins the Survivor to the locker. Like in the movie.
- Disables the ability to Stalk with Evil Within III.
- Tremendously increases the amount of Evil required to reach Evil Within III for the first time.
- Slightly decreases (110% ms) The Shape's Movement speed in Evil Within II and III. <- (was -9% = 95% in EWI and 105% in EWII&III) Nothing is worse than being a slug in EWI with this. Still slower than normal, but better around large loops. PWYF would be nice to have but not a necessity. If this would be too strong with PWYF, make it 105% in EWII&III but not EWI.
"Here lies our beloved daughter."
Lock of Hair (Very Rare)
A cut lock of blond hair bunched with a black elastic.
- Tremendously increases (+40s) Evil Within III duration.
- Slightly increases (+2.5 SP) the amount of Evil required to reach Evil Within III for the first time. <- (was +5) Makes this add-on more viable. The Hair Bow was just better, because it added 30s for +2.5 SP.
Scratched Mirror (Very Rare)
A standing portable vanity mirror which has been violently scratched with a sharp metallic object.
- When Stalking, Evil Within I reveals the Aura of Survivors within 32 metres.
- Evil Within cannot progress past Evil Within I.
- Slightly reduces (105%) The Shape's Movement Speed. <- (was 105%) Yes, this is not a nerf or a buff, but since i buffed EWI MS to 110% I needed to adjust this. 110% with a 32m wallhack would be too much. Pretty much old Jumpscare Myers before the introduction of Undetectable without M&A being a necessity.
- Each Hit Score Event grants 100 % Bonus Bloodpoints in the Brutality Category and additional 200 % Bonus Bloodpoints in the Deviousness Category.
Mirror Shard (Very Rare) <- (was Rare)
A large and sharp piece of a broken mirror.
- Stalking a Survivor for 1 second in Evil Within II reveals the Aura of other Survivors within 16 metres around you for 4 seconds. <- Maybe a bit too strong, but hey: I changed the rarity.
Vanity Mirror (Rare) <- (was Very Rare) Is still not as strong as Scratched Mirror.
A standing portable vanity mirror in perfect condition except for a fine layer of dust and face powder covering it.
- When Stalking, Evil Within II reveals the Aura of Survivors within 16 metres.
- Evil Within cannot progress past Evil Within II.
- Moderately reduces (8m) the Terror Radius. <- Makes Dead Rabbit or M&A a nice to have, but not a necessity. I would say it should stack. You will still be vulnerable to Object etc though (no Undetectable!).
- Each Hit Score Event grants 100 % Bonus Bloodpoints in the Brutality Category and additional 150 % Bonus Bloodpoints in the Deviousness Category.
- Slightly decreases (110% ) The Shape's Movement speed in Evil Within II. <- (was -6% = 97% in EWI and 107% in EWII) This was a worse Scratched Mirror with only a little MS bonus.
Reflective Fragment (Rare) <- (was Uncommon)
A tiny piece of a highly reflective material most probably from a broken mirror.
- When putting a Survivor into the Dying State, reveal the Aura of Survivors within 8 metres.
J. Myers Memorial (Rare)
A glossy page ripped from the 1965 Haddonfield High School yearbook, one dedicated to the memory of Judith Myers.
- Moderately increases (20%) Evil Gain rate when Stalking. <- (was 25%) A slight nerf since stalking is overall easier.
Glass Fragment (Uncommon)
A tiny piece of tinted glass, probably from a broken object. It is impossible to determine its origin.
- Stalking a Survivor for 1 second reveals their Aura for 3 Seconds. <- (was only usable in EWI) i made it usable in all tiers.
Judith's Journal (Uncommon) <- (was Rare)
A journal identified as owned by Judith M. Myers. Most of the pages are defaced with frightening and disturbing drawings.
- You become obsessed with one Survivor.
- Considerably increases (40%) the amount of Evil gained when Stalking your Obsession. <- (was 65%) A slight nerf, because stalking is easier. I think the Obsession requirement makes it less strong without Nemesis and DS or For The People is not allways triggered, so is will be Uncommon instead of Rare.
You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
Memorial Flower (Common) <- (was Uncommon)
A partially faded and dried pink larkspur picked up from a gravestone.
- Slightly increases (10%) Evil Gain rate when Stalking. <- (was 15%) A slight nerf since stalking is overall easier.
Boyfriend's Memo (Common)
A "romantic", if slightly sleazy, note left around to draw the attention of a female lover.
- Outlines a Survivor when you are able to gain Evil. <- I thought of something like Feddy's outlining of a sleeping Survivor (from his POV). This is mostly to help newer players to understand when you can stalk and when an onject hinders you to do it. Sometimes you think you can stalk through that piece of junk but you can't. This is meant to help with that by adding some visual effect.
"The note is signed: D."
[Edit: Memorial Flower & J. Myers Memorial could both be changed to "Slightly/Moderately increases (+1.25/+2.5 SP) available Stalk Points per Survivor." If the increased stalking rate is too strong. This would give you 1 or 2 extra Evil Within III and would make stalking for some add-ons (i.e. Tombstone) easier if one survivor decides to hide all the time.]
Sorry for the long post.
Edit: I corrected the math with the stalking points. Hopfully.....
I disagree on completely removing TS. And as I remember, the TS was the condition of the license holders (if a dev reads this and I am wrong, please correct me) for DBD to get Myers. So removing it would not be possible anyway.
Some ideas for the purple TS:
1) cannot use J. Myers Memorial or similar addons (no quick stalk) and after Mori, you can't get EWIII anymore, or
2) increase stalk immensely, so it equals the stalk needed for double pink (3 survivors fully stalked) or
3) you can only mori people which have been hooked once (or twice)
The pink TS should not be changed as it usually takes 4 gens against a mediocre team to get off if combined with infinite EWIII. Although it should not be possible to use any quick stalk addons with it. Only a few people know that the +200% stalk only affects the first EWIII. After that it is normal 5 stalk points (~5s minimum) which can provide pretty dirty plays.

I dunno. I might just look for other games now. Killer doesn't interest me,at all as it's way too stressful and survivor experience has gradually been worse me lately. I mostly posted this to see if people had similar experiences.
Then I'm sorry.
Are you playing solo or with friends? It is a lot easier to deal with the changes in a group.

I will look at it, yet still. Swinging a weapon somewhere near survivor may make them hit the button in panic, its not any kind of proof its hack.
But even so. Just becuase those people use hacks for dead hard does not means they use hacks for anything else. Im not defending hackers, im saying that just because they would not need to use hacks for dead hard (hack related discussion started with my suggestion of dead hard being automatic) does not means they will be unpunished for other hacks. IMO dead hard is unfair perk, both for survivors and killers for various reasons including ping and internet connection. Removing this one thing would be a good way to make this perk more fair and in line.
Dead hard starts with two (or one?) tokens and activate after unhooking someone else.
While active, if survivor is injured dead hard nullifies next killer attack using one token, then apply deep wound and deactivates.
If survivor is performing conspicious action, dead hard deactivates without using token.
OK maybe I did not make myself clear enough.
I use this method as a test if I think someone is cheating and very sus in general. People with auto DH hit it frame perfect every single time, no matter how long you wait or bait it.
A while back I faced a subtly cheating Nea on RPD she was also tbagging and clicking with her flashlight a lot. I somehow got a hook on her in the middle of the match and she got 2nd stage because nobody was coming, but after that things were strange. I did not seem to gain distance on her or better said: she was speeding up every time I lost line of sight. Then she blinded me with a flashlight around a corner in one of the hallways while I was looking down (very sus). I left her a while and when I downed someone else she was there (still injured) to get her cheater flashlight blind. We were mindgaming around a semi safe downed pallet. One time I swung at the pallet with her on the other side and bam! she used DH.
This is what I meant. No person in that case would DH.
She was tbagging me in the exit gate but got banned 1 day later.
