One of the better snowballers in the game. He's Myers if Myers was well designed.
-
You remember Fall Guys? The super casual game where blob people would compete in little activities and the odds of winning were next to nothing? The whole point was just mindless fun to most, but people took it to the extreme and tried their hardest. Streamers were sweating hard on the game. People will try hard at anything. That doesn't mean that the game isn't casual. Many things in DBD make it pointless to be anything other than casual.

That's even WORSE, that's the most crutch gameplay i've EVER heard. Bubba is literally the gods of tunneling and face camping. If it can't have a kill, no one wins. Just like the hag except she's universally hated for being able to teleport half way across the map and still tunnel you. Thanks for the insight though.
It's a strat though. It's thought out and then executed afterwards.
-
So, it's only a strat when Bubba pops on insidious, agitation, iron grasp, and NOED. Love to a see a post showing Basement Bubbas the respect they deserve.

ngl i dont like the idea of that they need ranked like in csgo
The problem is they'd have to pick one or the other and having the game just be casual would be better. If they had ranked and casual all the toxic people would be in casual to bully survivors and killers that aren't wanting a ranked experience. They should give a certain number of games or pips before you're thrown into the general pool of players. MMR is going to lead to good players being forced to play as and against the same small pool of killers that can compete with actually good survivors. This game isn't CSGO. It's not balanced at all and never will be due to map RNG. The game isn't balanced well enough to be competitive and it shouldn't be built around the idea that it is. It's why tournaments for DBD are so laughable and have the most convoluted rules.
-
I really think we should stop complaining about ranks being rainbow colored and push BHVR to just get rid of ranks completely. Just have everyone play with everyone on purpose.
-
I was aboute to say I was able to pick up nurse and 4k fairly fast, but then I saw you're on console. I commend you good sir.
-
Not even gonna read the thread. The whataboutism is gonna be very strong here.
-
I'm fairly happy with getting one of the worst maps in the game reworked.
-
@Yords said:
I felt that honestly. I think that there will be a new mmr sometime soon. Hopefully next patch.
I'd rather there be no ranking system and no mmr. All mmr is going to do is force the best players to play as and against the same small sample size of top tier killers. I get having new players play against one another, but after a certain number of games or pips they should just be thrown into the general pool of players.

It makes Surveillance viable so it's a good perk
Ruin is a better perk and combos better with Surveillance. Unless they changed how the two interact with one another.

Taste the rainbow
-
Yes it needs to be changed, but they aren't going to change it sadly.
-
I honestly think they should continue letting Pig's and Demo's lunge not consume stacks. The killers already aren't great so giving them a fun perk to play around with isn't so bad. I like most of these changes too.
-
How is GF noob friendly? To use him well you need to know maps, plan out stalks, and get the jump on survivors. I'd say the last "noob friendly" killer was Legion tbh. He's an m1 killer that can get everyone injured easily.
-
Otz won fifty games in a row with Bubba using Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer, and Discordance. It works well on killers who don't have amazing mobility. It just works exceptionally well on high mobility killers.

I'm not sure if you include me with "confusing these two", but just to make sure: I'm not.
All i'm saying is that i find these two to be similar in obvious manners, and practically everything that can be made more detailed is made different between the two.
Also, i myself am not gonna say their hairstyles are somewhat similar because 1 specific hairstyle makes them similar: Their basic hairstyles, a.k.a. the hairstyles that you can get a bloody Prestige version of, are too different to be called similar.
I was mentioning the one specific hairstyle because it's literally the only thing the two have that's genuinely similar to one another. If by obvious you mean their skin color... Their skin color is very different. The thread is about people purposefully misidentifying a character anyways so.
-
I genuinely think they'll be the worst killer in the game.
-
Killers that face camp don't care about pipping.

90% of the time you're seeing this view. Skin color is obscured enough in the maps and unless you know every single cosmetic item for both characters, you will mistake claudette for elodie. Blame it on the devs for giving the black characters similar haircuts with the same color hair, not on the players that do not get a very good look at the survivors while playing the game, especially playing killer.
The white survivors have different hair cuts and different colors of hair, so they're a little easier to distinguish. Even then it's sometimes hard to distinguish which characters are which while in the middle of a game.
I don't think the OP's issue was with accidental misidentification.

I guess that's you.
I on the contrary find their hairstyles to be very different, but their skin colors are quite similar.
One of Claudette's hairstyles is very similar in shape to Elodie's. Their skin tones, face shape, and bodies are vastly different though. How anyone gets these two confused and the proceeds to call Elodie Claudette Two amazes me.
-
@Boss said:
Hm yeah, she's definitely not Claudette 2.
But "nothing alike" is also not true, there's obvious traits they share.
Their hair is the only similarity. She’s lighter skinned and has completely different proportions lol

i literally didn't notice she was a new survivor until i saw a new name which i didn't recognise. like it or not she IS claudette number 2 because she looks like her, blame the designers not the community.

Demo is really, really good.
It's criminal how underrated he is.
Yeah, he has portals that you can mind game with well and a built in chase shortening ability. Plague and Demo are both good. They just lack representation within the community.

Yes, if we ignore Plague, Wraith, Demogorgon....
Demo isn't bad.

If you can only play two killers and win... It’s not because looping is too powerful. I’d get that 2.8k hours up homie.
-
Bro we already have the only short killer we need. Blight.
-
There are killers that have a game plan that revolves around slugging and trying to snowball. Cope.

@GreyBigfoot said:
Maybe this will be the first killer to get a skin for their power too.
If we get swag for Victor, I'd love to see Billy's chainsaw, Trapper's traps, and Plague's fountains get cosmetic options.
I wouldn't hold your breath for trapper traps because he has add-ons to darken them

But it's the PTB. Is that not the point of a PTB?

Is it automatic when you run past a locker or do you have to activate it?
You activate it like you would to jump in the locker. If the perk is active you can't jump into a locker while running.

So to you "complain" is only when the person make a formal statement saying "I am complaining about this". We're humans, we can grasp the meaning of things without the need of it being explicit.
The guy made a whole post to say that slug is an easy game, and unfair and blablabla, he IS complaining. I don't understand why are you still arguing with this. If you can read, you probably can understand the meaning of a text
No. He never said anything negative about slugging. He never said people shouldn't slug. He never made anyone feel lesser for slugging. He said slugging can be a game changer. So... He didn't complain.
-
I'd say the only truly scary killers are the ones that can make you jump and catch you off guard. Basically just stealth killers, killers with small terror radiuses, and then a few others. Hag, Nurse, and Spirit can jump scare you just because of the nature of their powers.

"You get one use of unbreakable and if there's no hexes left or in the game at all soul guard is mostly useless for countering slugging. So, it's still a fact that if you slug all 4 survivors you win. Neither of those perks change that reality. Sorry to break it to you."
One Unbreakable x4 and saying you only get one and then it's gone is being either extremely disenginuous or not understanding how high levels matches go. Eating Unbreakables like that loses you the game so saying it's then used up is irrelevant. It also isn't completely gone as you still keep the very fast recovery to help teammates pick you up. Soul Guard is also not useless even if we assume they aren't running a hex as when picked up up you are getting the BT effect. So no, slugging all 4 is not an automatic win and as I already stated before, he did not say it was all 4, that is your assumption.
"Wrong. You can talk about things within the game that lead to losses without it being complaining. DS, BT, and Deliverance have caused many killers to lose a game during endgame collapse. Am I suddenly complaining about them simply for stating that? No."
Your statement and his are not synonymous. His statement was a very inaccurate exaggeration, yours was not. The inaccuracy and exaggeration is what makes it complaining.
"To say this post comparing slugging to a real world equivalent means the OP is complaining about slugging is wrong. Sorry."
Because that isn't what I'm saying. You are misunderstanding.
His comparison to a real world equivalent is not what makes this post complaining. His statement about slugging being an automatic win is what makes it complaining.
"His statement about slugging being an automatic win is what makes it complaining."
This isn't complaining. This is.
Complaining
/kəmˈplāniNG/
noun
- the expression of dissatisfaction or annoyance about something.
- "his complaining has been a little bit annoying"
"One Unbreakable x4 and saying you only get one and then it's gone is being either extremely disingenuous or not understanding how high levels matches go. This is assuming everyone is running unbreakable. Most of the time there's either 1 or 2. I'd say it's more disingenuous to only talk about very specific situations that supports your argument. If you only slug and end up getting everyone slugged you win. Your full team of unbreakable/soul guard gamers doesn't change that. If you end up having all of the survivors slugged regardless of the number you won.
"Your statement and his are not synonymous. His statement was a very inaccurate exaggeration, yours was not. The inaccuracy and exaggeration is what makes it complaining."
An exaggeration doesn't make anything complaining. See above for what complaining is.

"If you slug all the survivors they lost. They cannot win. That's a fact. It's not complaining."
Wrong. Unbreakable or possibly Soul Guard depending. Also he did not specifically imply ALL survivors. It could be 1, 2, 3, or 4, of which there are many more solutions and they have not lost.
"Complaining is saying something is wrong or shouldn't be allowed within the game."
Saying when you slug survivors they can't win is complaining. Especially when it's in fact not a true statement.
""To be clear this isn't a post to shame people for slugging.""
People can say they don't intend to do something and then still do it or simply not realize they're doing it. These are not mutually exclusive.

Literally the title of the post.
I hate to break it to you, but the title also isn't complaining about slugging.
-
@Blueberry said:
If you played both sides at a high level you wouldn't be complaining about slugging. Telling someone not to slug is telling them to just lose the game. Against good survivors you have to slug, tunnel, or camp if you want to win. Most players opt for slugging as it's the more fun for everyone of the 3. Not to mention there are a multitude of strong anti-slug perks that are literally meta, so it's not like you're even giving up good perks for them. If you win as a killer without any of those 3 things you were just way, way better than those survivors or they were playing like potatoes.
When people complain about slugging it just tells me they don't play killer at all.
Where in the post did he complain about slugging.

Sorry! But please explain why!
Have you ever played Wraith without add-ons or old Leatherface? This would make Deathslinger feel like them where you get to a loop and should be able to down someone, but they've given you this slowdown/charge that causes you to just miss your chance. If they want to change Deathslinger I feel like this isn't the way to do it.

Thanks for the support in both tags.
I’m too lazy to go into immense detail, but yeah, anything that keeps Survivors busy doing anything other than gens is good, no matter how short a time it is (seconds count in this game).
But i’m totally anti meta. This isn’t to say I have any stigma towards anyone that chooses to use the meta. That’s not what I mean at all. It’s just that I have a natural inclination to constantly mix up builds and experiment with perks, ESPECIALLY the ones that I first perceive as bad, or just “don’t get it”.
It pays off. Almost ALL perks are seriously underrated, under utilised, and greatly misunderstood.
Forced Penance is a good recent example. When first announced it seemed so pointless to me. So I forced myself to keep using it so I could understand the point of it. Now it’s one of my favourite perks from the past year.
Yeah, it’s no problem. I have the utmost respect for you. I actually messed around with your claustrophobia distressing build on clown and was pleasantly surprised. People just couldn’t pick up slugs or heal.
