the time to mend is 12 seconds or the timer until you go down is 12 seconds?
i am just saying hitting a survivor for them to got from healthy to injured is only mildy better than hitting someone to go from injured to deep wound the difference is relatively minor
It’s not minor. Putting an already injured survivor into deep wound is insanely worse than putting a healthy survivor into injured. BT as it is shouldn’t be basekit. The time to heal deep wound is 12 seconds. It’s nothing lmao

im saying go ahead and assumed the deep wound timer will never reach zero and you will never get a down from it. it still takes extra time to mend that could be used working on gens. deep wound never gets downs unless your using that one legion add on or are in rank 20's.
but the extra heal time does help
Deep wound is 12 seconds and you have as long as you want to mend it because it pauses while sprinting. It’s not comparable to getting a trade from someone unhooking in front of you. The only person it will ever be of any benefit to is slinger and only if he stacks sloppy and the extra mend time addon and that only works when he hits someone with a shot.
It rewards hook rushing and unsafe unhooks.

The problem is they can’t nerf his 1v1 that’s all the dude has. They’d have to buff his speed to be average if they nerfed his power imo.

maybe as a method to get downs but it is still taking time more time away from survivors which is worth something
It doesn’t take time. It’s paused when survivors are running and they can work on gens/heal others before even bothering to spend the 12 seconds to heal it. Can we stop pretending like deep wounds is actually useful for getting downs or as slowdown?

You don't get to say no, you're not a dev.
Tunneling is indeed griefing
The Devs have already said Tunneling and Camping aren't griefing tho. They actually call them valid strategies.

it is a deep wound you have to mend so its not really free also its pretty rare in my games at least
Bruh deep wound is the least threatening thing in the game so I wouldn't consider it a punishment. It's one of the reasons legion is such a joke.

rewarding safe unhooks? how? do they get more points for having the unhooked survivor taking a hit? more like punishing face camping with most killers
Basically the usual punishment for an unsafe hook is the first hit while you attempt it and the second after the unhook to trade hooks. With BT the unhooked will just body block giving both a free escape. It rewards unsafe hooks. Not every reward is BP lmao
-
In my experience it’s exceedingly easy to start a farm sessions if I want. Only issue is you’d really have to get survivors to trust you to get 2 chainsaws back to back on billy lol
-
Child’s play. The best build is actually
Fire Up - This is obvious as gens are going to pop at some point. Guaranteed value.
Predator - Best info perk in the game. Survivors have to leave scratch marks if they wanna be fast.
Unrelenting - You recover super fast when you get bullied by spins and techs.
NOED - You get a free instadown before your totem pops.
You’re welcome new killers :)

@zoozoom6 said:
it depeneds on how it is balanced also i think BT and kindered are more worthy of being base kit than DS
BT in the current state of just rewarding unsafe unhooks shouldn’t be base kit imo. Kindred 100% should be though.

Okay I'll end this maybe you just get better hags then I do. So perhaps you play better hags and I don't. But I can safely say from my experience I haven't had problems with Hag I usually take it upon me to break the three gen. By the way what killer do you think is overrated? Didn't answer yet.
Probably Billy. Even pre nerf I don't think he was as amazing as people thought.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1771097#Comment_1771097
What are you saying? I mean break the three gen make sure the Hag doesn't have a three gen to easily defend. And if that happens you sneak get the unhook leave the trapped area. And a hag is not gonna be a threat.
It's not as simple as break the three gen. You did the meme. Just break the three gen 4head. You can sneak out of the area, but you're not going to do anything of value other than heal a health state that'll be gone when a trap triggers.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1770892#Comment_1770892
Well that's the key you recognize the hags area and leave. And if there's no more three gen and that hags web of traps don't surround a three gen it's not easy.
How are you going to just leave when the last three gens are in it with a survivor on hook.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
I think Hag is overrated. Yes she can be strong. However like trapper big maps can be punishing to her. As well if she chases you and your away from her traps it's GG EZ your looping a 4.4 around cow tree or school bus. As well the moment you break a 3 gen it's gonna hurt to be hag.
Big maps don't bother hag because hags plan is to just web up one area of the map and good hags never leave that area. If a good hag gets a hook in her web that's GG EZ.
-
I don't really like their power or perks so I'm skipping it

No it's not. That's just bad map design which is being addressed. I've played since beta man I know how those chases went. I was there. If you followed survivors to loops you KNEW were infinites and wasted your time.... You were letting the survivors win. You are deciding to do something you know is a waste of time. That is absolutely a misplay. Bloodlust isn't even a factor when you decide to chase at an infinite. Chasing infinites is and always will be a bad play.
Did you not read what I typed. Good survivors would always go to infinites if they could. Sometimes you HAD to BL it.
-
I was playing survivor yesterday and played against a rank 20 hag. A dude saw Ruin at the beginning of the game and dced like 30 seconds before I found the totem. I thought it was pretty funny.
-
@DCash said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1767785#Comment_1767785
Yeah I know why it was added. But if you were wasting your time getting looped at those infinites long enough for multiple bloodlust levels to kick in.....you are a poor killer. Simple. Even getting looped there for one level to activate is wasted time. Bloodlust only activates when YOU have let the chase go on for too long, which is clearly bad killer play. Getting rid of bloodlust hasn't affected me at all, I'm still getting 3-4ks, because I never had it activate before anyway. You don't need bloodlust if you move optimally.
bruh people would run to those infinites every chase and at every opportunity and there were lots of them. Not having BL now doesn’t affect me at all, but to say that the people that used to have to use it are bad because survivors would run to the infinite every chance they got is whack.

It's always fun to play against smurfing survivors, am I right?
Honestly they played like rank 20s. I was genuinely surprised when I saw they all had tier 3 teachables

We need a perkless weekend and a weekend with an extra perk slot
-
This is good. Without DBD this man would be out trying to murder people. Praise be to the devs.

@Mister_xD said:
and thanks to the 11 / 7 ratio they have you'll be able to enjoy survivor a LOT more :D
seriously, how hard can it be to give both sides the same amount of challenges?
there has been ONE tome level so far in all the existing tomes where there were actually more killer challenges than survivor challenges (it was one more and it was in Tome 1 Level 4)
I think they did originally and then made more survivor challenges because of queue times getting longer.

Idk about slinger you see if you hold the magical double w key your chances of surrving slinger increse
Now imagine during no bloodlust you are a slinger, surv gets to a hill and bl.
Or a 99ed sb..
Deathslinger is a 110% killer as well with a effective range of 18 meters there gonna get some distance past 18 meters
If you hold the magic W key against a slinger you're going to get speared. You can't juke a slinger. The slinger just missed lol
-
@DCash said:
Well you are wrong about the maps first off. And as more maps get reworked your statement becomes even less true.
I played trapper and wraith last night, both 4k. I'm still rarely going to play spirit, freddy, or ph as they are easy handout killers. I like a challenge not have the game handed to me.
Blood lust is for trash killers. Always has been. Git gud.
I disagree with it always being for poor killers. It was added when the game had actual infinites.
-
None of them would be dropped if they removed BL. Killers that are bad for chases tend to not get played much anyways.
-
Nah, five perk slots for a weekend

Pig, Deathslinger, Legion and Clown.
Clown is still the worst killer in the game by far, but some people make him out to be a "You will lose every game at red rank" kinda killer, when it reality he can do good at red ranks, it's just that you get rolled if you get even a remotely decent team.
Who thinks Deathslinger is bad?

uhh don't know about Otz but Scott said at the very least leave in tier 1 since maps aren't great yet.
I watched his stream when the event started and he said multiple times that only boosted killers need Bloodlust. Though my point isn't that the streamers are right. It's that it's pointless to bring up streamers in response to people bringing up streamers. Their opinion isn't anymore valid than the other people that sink far too much time into the game.

Let's be honest, 90% of the survivor community is nothing without their exhaustion/2nd chance perks! I'm actually shocked that I managed to make it to rank 5 without any second chance perks!
I mean 90% of killers are nothing without their gosh darn chase and slowdown perks. The game uses perks to balances things instead of balancing the game itself to allow more freedom with builds.
-
This would be like a killer saying that no exhaustion perks would be true skill balance lol

Ghostface. He’s the only killer I’ve cared enough to p3 and spend money on but I haven’t played him in awhile.
-
Just m1 the survivor 2 times 4head
-
bruh you should not have posted this for everyone to see lol
-
I might start playing Blight as much as I did when he came out once this goes through.
-
Myers with Blights rush... Aka Oni.
-
Technically by not playing it might increase the odds of BL getting nerfed/removed all together. If killers that need it don’t play and the killers don’t need it do play then numbers will be skewed towards it not needing to be in the game anymore because the killers that don’t care about its removal will be preforming well still.

Beast of Prey was the only thing I could think of but that isn't the only thing it affects. How about the fence loops at Haddonfield or the main farm house in Thompson's? How do long loops affect BL?
You don’t need BL for either of those. There’s a whopping 3 killers in the game with no direct chase shortening abilities. Haddonfield is a broken map. Everyone knows it, but it doesn’t have any infinites and most pallets are unsafe. BL was introduced as a bandaid to counter infinites. BL in the current state of the game is rewarding killers for over committing to chases. Haddonfield is a bad map. You don’t need BL to catch survivors on it.

Right. So you don't see how that's an issue. How about "Testing" on live servers the removal of wiggle on the killer's shoulder. I mean only a bad killer tries to take a survivor to a far hook so I mean it wouldn't really change anything but for bad killers. You don't forsee an issue there? How about removing the red stain? Only bad killers don't know how to hide it as they go around a corner. You don't see a problem with "Testing" that on a live server do you?
Ok so let’s talk about the similarities between the wiggle mechanic and BL mechanic. I’m happy to. So, wiggling is actually very vital to the game. Without it killers such as trapper, hag, billy, Bubba, and Myers could simply play the basement every game. There’s also the mechanic of saboing hooks and taking protection hits to try and assist your teammate in wiggling free. Perks that affect wiggling are Agitation, Mad Grit, and Iron Grasp. On survivor side there’s flip flop, Boil Over, and Breakout. All perks people actually use unlike Beast of Prey. Wiggling is meant to only keep the killer from taking you wherever they want. Wiggling free is actually really rare.
BL gives you a speed boost for over committing to a chase and the lack of the mechanic doesn’t completely alter the game. They aren’t comparable in any way whatsoever. Great try though.
Things they could temporarily tests would be things that don’t completely change the game similarly to how not having bloodlust wouldn’t completely change it. Reducing the DS timer or small changes to meta perks on both sides to see how it shifts things for those few days. Slightly reducing the speed boost on hit for survivors could be more comparable to the BL tests.

I mean, when they made things that hurt survivors in PTB they promised to not play until it was changed. Even if the change is only percieved as hurting survivor and materially changed very little. Why do you think opening day killers invariably get nerfed? Why would the killer attitude be different?
What are you even comparing? The most recent PTB has one of the most easily bullied killers they’ve made recently with all the actual decent perks being on the survivors side. Either way quitting because an outdated mechanic that barely does anything now is being turned off for a bit is a bit dumb.

Yeah, you don't have to DL the game again, just the patch. Secondly I am not making an anti "Get Gud" argument. I am making a "We don't know what the removal will affect" argument. Like have you thought about the fact that now Beast of Prey can't activate? No? Because no one uses it right? But if you go into a PTB thinking "Huh I wonder what I can test, oh yeah, beast of prey!" You could gather data.
You have to sit through downloads when transitioning to and from the PTB. Also, who the absolute ######### runs beast of prey? Literally a waste of a perk slot. No one uses it and hopefully it gets reworked when BL is removed in the future.
It’s being tested on the live server because it’s the best place to test it. I hope to see more small changes like this tested every so often on the live servers personally.

Well their only going to get a small friction of people testing Bloodlust, all the killers are just not going to play for the weekend. At least the ones needed for high rank games. I can play another game for the weekend - that's no problem. I'll see ya'll Monday.
yes a vast majority of killer players are simply going to stop playing the game because a mechanic that barely helps good players isn’t available to them. You’re spot on there, champ.
-
If you’re reliant on BL you’re bad at chases. Get better at them or drop them if they’re time consuming. BL is an outdated bandaid the devs added to -temporarily- fix the issues with the giant maps and god loops that -used- to exist.
No one is going to download the game all over again at least twice to play without BL and give feedback.
-
For a weekend we should just have the survivors spawn on death hook at the start of the game.
-
You're being an alarmist.
-
Because Dead Hard gets rid of your hitbox and the traps are reliant on you having a hitbox.
-
NOED is even worse than it used to be with the Ruin/Undying meta that's now in place. Survivors are running maps and perks to hunt dull and lit totems as effectively as possible.
-
I don't think this is unpopular. I just think people who dislike swf are very vocal while people who are cool with it have no real incentive to let everyone know. Either way I agree.
-
If I don’t care about actually killing anyone that game and just want good chases and someone is obviously very good at looping I’ll focus on them whenever I get the chance.
