All survivors who complain about NOED don't do totems.
All killers who complain about DS aren't good at the game.
Otzdarva isn’t good at the game?

lol then you have no doubt met me! ;-) When it comes to this game - oh yeah I've done my share of stupid.

Claud I get. Especially a Blendetee or my fav a squad of them lol, but Nea? Why poor nea?
Nea is the scariest killer in the game

You leave my Claudette alone.
Honestly though, solo can be miserable. I'm weird I guess. I go to play killer when solo has gotten on my nerves. That's why I never understand why killers ######### so much. Even if you get a 4 man death squad you still can end up with good points.
Most people that ######### about everything don’t play both sides. If you’re super into one side the game is going to be stressful no matter what. There’s definitely a power imbalance, but it’s not the end of the world.

How can that be? Surly BHVR have said they statically aren't a problem so they must be exactly the same as solo players as BHVR would balance the game otherwise... /s
Yeah, I don’t care about swf and I don’t think people should know if there is a swf. I just gave the reasoning on why killers would dodge. They’re intimidated

Because they’re harder to beat

Have you ever thought that maybe it isn’t the role of killer itself that sucks?

If its sidney or a map imma lose my mind. It's 100% not a mask because rj would usually just say what is coming that leads me into believe its a license of some sort either way IM SO hyped as a scream fan!
I’d be so happy to see a survivor released to pair with my boy. They could even have her have some better stealth counter perks to shift the meta a bit. A map and a survivor with unique perks would a dream come true. RJ has hyped up too much for it to just be a mask.
-
Nah, they’re making more Ghostface content. They can have my money.

*Most gamers think they’re better than they actually are
fixed your title you’re welcome

Ok? Have fun. Obviously you should do whatever is more enjoyable for you

I’ve always said the starting experience for people in this game is the worst. Especially with how killer is pay to win. Majority of the good perks being locked behind a paywall AND then a giant grind.

Actually the worst experience is having to see either a Nea or Claudette in your lobby.

All i see is a salty rank 20 survivor. No need to explain yourself here.
He’s actually somehow a rank 7 with the situation awareness and looping potential of a rank 20. I find it hilarious that he has spinechill and got caught off guard twice. Why even use the perk slot for it?

Yeah, i've played against some TTV's before, and luckily they were more chill (although they were in a SWF group with voice chat, which made things stupidly difficult). Watching things back from their perspective was pretty cool.
Pipedream here, but I wish there was a playback mode (like in Overwatch, or Heroes of the Storm, etc.) where you can watch back a game from various viewpoints. It'll never happen, but man that'd be cool.
But yeah I get what you mean. That's why I pointed out how fast he quit out. That clearly wasn't the first time he's just bailed on a game and blamed it on the killer lol. And it's not really about that player in particular. It's more about the mindset that a lot of players have. And the sad thing is, they let that negative mindset affect their teammates too.
I uploaded the video with sound to reddit for you. Enjoy lol

The amount of people that agree with his behavior is high, so it can be anything from little to many :).
I was the first person to watch the VOD and it was because I knew I was in it and wanted to see why it was he DCed. I think he had a couple viewers at the time.

His teammates were very chill and nice. I gave one hatch and apologized for them having a lame teammate like I usually do for DCs.

Yeah I was sad there wasn't audio. I just wanted to hear what the heck he was saying.
But to keep it topical, no, this isn't tunneling imo. I mean what did they expect lol?
Tomorrow I’ll probably upload the actual video somewhere and comment under this thread with it. It’s pretty great to watch a VOD of you as killer from the survivor perspective.
I didn’t think it was tunneling either. I wasn’t looking for validation. More so sharing how streamers tend to view the game. Left all his teammates to lose 100% now because he got slugged.
-
@Halun said:
I'm more stunned with how fast he left that match rofl. Talk about muscle memory smh...
I wanted to post the clip with sound, but I didn’t have anything I could upload to other than imgur on short notice. The audio really adds to the comedy of it all. “I just got off the ######### hook!” Yeah, and got on the gen directly next to it.

Exactly on that second part. Running towards the hook as I hook the survivor is the dumbest thing survivors can do. BT let's them get away with it.
I wouldn’t say they get away with it. In that scenario you’ll be getting an ez hook exchange in most cases. It definitely makes the punishment less harsh though. Instead of a slug and hook exchange you just get the exchange. Possibly nothing if you proc the BT.
-
Ghostface is pretty cute
-
Lmao
-
I think a bot game mode would instill some very bad behaviors into new players that play it thinking it will help them in the online. I also think it would be incredibly easy.
-
You should have slugged him and closed hatch. He was the last one. You can really only blame yourself there imo.

Because it doesn't let camping killers have their way.
I'd say it's a good percentage, but I wouldn't generalize. I don't personally have a problem with the perk as I don't tunnel off hook even though I main the killer that counters BT the hardest. Tunneling and camping is a sure fire way to lose a lot of games, but I can see how it would be annoying to some killers if they aren't allowed to properly punish an unsafe hook and the the person with BT does their most to body block the unhooker. Just like DS being used in scummy ways sometimes.
-
Ghostface is still the best killer in the game. So, nothing that matters changed.
-
She’s fine as is
-
I don’t get the appeal of it. It’s a meh perk and only really shines if someone wants to tunnel.
I’d assume some killers dislike it because it rewards going for an unsafe save and they feel like they should be able to punish it.
-
I think people should just ~play the game~
-
People don't play DBD to have fun
-
I would like to see that as an iri addon when they hopefully do a rework for him. I think it would be a bit much to be base kit though. People who do stalk a lot basically 99 and then finish when it's a guaranteed down anyways.

As you can see No one is no skill because you still have to learn the base mechanics with some of the lower tiered and easier characters in the game.
From the bottom up Legion is just an m1 killer with an easy injure, if you learn the fundamentals from any other character you learn legion at the same time which means he is on average learned faster than other killers
Clown, Plauge, Bubba, and Wraith for the most part all play as m1 killers where pallets are effective means of deterrents against them and looping is still valid under certain circumstances unless the killer plays smart hence the lower skill gap because they still have play around potential
Myers, Pig, Executioner, Freddy, Friendly open faced flower also play as m1 killers but have their own gimmicks to strengthen them that you have to learn decently well to play effectively as them. Myers balances stalking with just straight up chasing, pig with slowing the game down now or waiting to do it later, executioner more for when to zone or not zone, freddy for when to teleport and where to place snares in chase, and demo on where to place portals and use shred.
Ghostface, trapper, doctor, spirit, and deathslinger all take some more skill because they rely on their powers to make up for their weaknesses and to gain advantage so have to use it smartly. Ghostface can use his power to sneak up, expose, or both at the same time, trapper has to decide which loops to close off with traps and where to place traps on the loops, doctor is big on timing and making effective use on addons, spirit while easy to play which really upsets people still requires a brain to play effectively especailly while sounds aren't working right now and death slinger for hitting shots and even perdicting out jukes.
Oni, Huntress, Billy can use their power to great extent but require a great deal of knowledge to get its full potency, oni has to learn loops and understand how to run them twice both in power and out of power, Huntress can hit cross maps that require timing, aim, and good judgement to even stand a chance of hitting, and billy can right now use his power on loops to cut off large parts of them and even hit survivors if timed well enough with a good curve.
Hag and nurse play completely different but also are in their own tier of potency and skill level, neither of them quite play the game like anyone else and thus take a longer time to learn because almost no skills transfer from other killers.
Overall no one killer no skill to play and this list could use a big revision to actually reflect the game
This is much closer to what the actual list would be lol

What's tunneling to you? Going for someone directly off hook is not necessary.
-
Diversion. Just Diversion.

If I dont camp I lose anyway. I used to be rank 20 and never camped and after like 100 games of never getting a single kill I have way more fun camping and guaranteeing a kill since it makes me feel better that i was actually a killer.
I went from rank 20 to rank 8 by camping with hillbilly (sad hes getting nerfed but I mean if he was able to carry someone as bad as me i guess he needed it) using a build with Hex: No One Escapes Death, Hex: Haunted Ground, Make Your Choice, and Iron Maiden.
Been thinking of changing MYC to Insidious though.
You need to scrap the whole build. Bubba is getting a buff so I'd switch from Billy to him. You could run Blood Warden, NOED, Agitation, and Iron Grasp. You'll get more value. BUT you'll get better at the game if you decide to play normally and not camp. You just need to learn tiles and how to pressure gens properly. This games takes a long time to get geniuenly good and you aren't doing yourself any favors by playing like this.
-
If you want to camp play as bubba with agitation and iron grasp to try and get someone to basement and then you could run NOED and whatever other perk you like. You probably still won't ever get more than 1 kill on average, but if you're going to do something at least do it well.
-
Camping while running make your choice is a megamind play
-
The best survivor build is
1- Self Care
2 - Inner strength
3 - Head on
4 - Diversion

let me put it this way, picture yourself playing killer, you are a sensitive person or someone who has a pretty large ego, now imagine you find someone, they teabag you after pallet stunning you, what do you think?
from first hand experience the general trend is "if you teabag me i see that as a attack on my character and i will do everything i can to make sure you pay for disrespecting me"
and yes, it is a cycle, Teabagging leads to tunneling and camping which leads into pretty insults which leads into actual attacks on other's characters which leads more teabagging which loops back around
and the reason i made the post is because believe it or not i do think about the other side and other people, i know that disrespecting someone can lead to further action because i have been in that situation, and want to encourage people to not repeat the actions that lead to further toxicity
That's where we differ. I see your point and I think it does happen. Toxicity causing someone to be toxic is 100% an issue. I'm just not so sure the whole reason dbd is the toxic cesspool it is is because of a cycle. I think it's an inherit game design problem with the asymmetric us vs them style of the game. People who only view things from a killer point of view don't like survivor players and people that don't play killer don't like killer players. Both use meta "op" perks and need to capitalize on the other player's mistake and then punish them as hard as possible for it. That plus the ability to camp, tunnel, teabag, click flashlights, and then bring a mori or a key? It's going to get nasty in endgame chat. People are going to teabag.
I would love a DBD where every game ended with a "GG WP" and no one was toxic, but I don't think that's going to happen and I don't think there's much they could do to minimize it.

and you think i don't?, not only that but winning feeling good is entirely subjective, if that's how you get enjoyment from this game, then sure, but that's not how everyone enjoys this game, for instance i enjoy landing crazy hits like 360 shreds or long range harpoon shots, if i can leave a game smiling even if they all leave then i consider it a fun match, not only that but just because you don't tunnel or facecamp doesn't mean everyone else doesn't, also, i never even mentioned anything related to you specifically playing Surv, that's not the discussion, the discussion is that i don't think Teabagging should continue to circulate and want it to be discouraged because it's disrespectful and it, in turn, encourages worse behaviour
The point of me saying I don't survivor is to show that survivors teabagging and clicking isn't this terrible thing pushing killers to tunnel and camp. The option is there and people will do it no matter what. They may use survivors being toxic as an excuse but it's not why they do it. It's not a cycle of toxicity. It's just toxic people using the tools given to them to be toxic.
If you get enjoyment just from doing cool things in the game and don't care if you kill them why do you even care about the topic of teabagging enough to make a thread about it?
-
You can urge me all you want, but I'm not gonna adopt the most boring playstyle in the game and take Ls because I would rather just stare at a hooked survivor instead of using my killer power, pressuring gens, and mindgaming survivors.
-
@DragonMasterDarren said:

and it's a behaviour that cycles back into worse behaviours, people are less inclined to play scummy if you show them basic respect, notice how often teabaggers get face camped or tunneled?
I don't play survivor and I don't tunnel or facecamp. You know what feels better than both? Winning. I'd much rather rub a 4k in a toxic person's face.

-
If you aren’t going for someone off hook you aren’t tunneling. You could hook everyone 3 times and some people will still call you a tunneler.
-
Depends on your definition of tunneling. Hard tunneling from the start tends to only hand out Ls if the survivors run meta perks and are decent. Going after a survivor because you know they’re on death hook and the other survivor near them isn’t isn’t tunneling. That’s just playing smart.

Except for the part when they're not. Devour hope and noed are really the only ones that qualify.
Ruin is just bad. The third seal is very situational, knock out is better. Huntress lullaby would be strong if it didn't need stacks, or at bare minimum didn't alert you. Haunted grounds is trading a whole perk slot for maybe a single down. Retribution is a joke, bbq is far better. Thrill of the hunt basically just tells you that you're fixing to lose a totem, because you can rarely make it before it's destroyed.
Man called ruin bad lmao
