Tinkerer is useless on any killer that isn't high mobility, which is a majority of the cast of killers. It's literally just letting you know you failed at your objective to pressure gens and giving you undetectable for a bit. Undying + Ruin is good, but it sucks up two slots just to maybe keep ruin in the game. At least fifty percent of the time undying is getting taken out before ruin and ruin usually doesn't last that much longer after that against survivors who know totem spawns.
Also, someone already pointed out that Ruin does nothing unless you know how to properly apply pressure. If you're bad survivors will be able to hold m1 and it'll be like you don't even have ruin in the game. So, if you're saying only braindead killers use this you're saying Tinkerer is the problem here and Tinkerer is far from a problem lol
It's hardly meta anyway. Pop is still the best gen slow down perk in the game and plenty of killers will opt out of using two perk slots for Undying + Ruin and just run Pop for guaranteed gen regression throughout the entire match. Pop + BBQ or Thrilling on an Oni, Billy, Blight, Nurse, or Spirit is going to do much better against actually good survivors. Especially the deadly swat team swfs that everyone strawmans to try and get killer buffs and survivor nerfs.

Killers definitely have crutch perks not gonna name any- UNDYING, RUIN, POP, HAUNTED, CORRUPT, BBQ, SOME MORE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER. Other than that I guess only survivors only have crutches
Already calling undying a crutch perk? Half the time it doesn't even save your hex because it gets taken first
-
What killer ever said there weren't crutch perks for killers?
-
The game had a graphical update. I'm about 98% sure your pc might just not be able to handle the game anymore if it's bad like you say. This game shouldn't need a good set up, but it's so poorly optimized that it does. Other than turning your settings down I doubt there's a way to fix it for you.
-
You could play as one of the other 20 killers in the game instead of outright quitting. The hook glitch is mildly annoying though lol
-
I support your choice to switch back to your main. The game isn't about playing what's best just because it's good. You play who feels right in your hands... Blight is much much better than clown though. His chase times can be insanely short and he has the mobility to patrol gens and cross the map easily.

And yet you offer no actual criticism. Can you explain why these suggestions don't solve these problems or are you just toxic?
You realize you don't have to give a logical critique to every terrible idea that comes along, right? It's not toxic to tell someone that a change they want to make to the game that would fundamentally change it for the worse and just add more ways to abuse it is terrible. Your ideas also require a multitude of perk changes when there's better options out there that change less.
Your first idea was tried just in a slightly different way and abused heavily. The hook timer would pause if the killer was near it for x amount of time. Your idea is just that, but to let gens fly by much faster.
Your second idea is so obviously bad that I'm not gonna take the time to break down why a 200% speed ghost mode is dumb.

How is it terrible? Seems pretty accurate. Pain got many faces.
One is an action causing bodily harm. The other is models on a screen going up and down and clicking sound lmao

That's an absolutely terrible analogy. See what I did there?

Buh-bye

If you wanna stick with Ghostface I'd personally drop BBQ and NOED. Your thrilling gives you the same if not more info than BBQ and fill the same role basically. I'd level Nurse for Nurses Calling and then use Sloppy if you want the basic hit and run build. I'm All Ears is actually underappreciated in my opinion. I ran it all the time when I got the game got a ton of use out of it. If you want help in the early game corrupt would be better though. Ghostface is played differently than most killers so if you just play him you might fall short on some aspects of the game in the long run.
There's a few good builds that come to mind. One is super info based, the other chase based, and then one that's just the basic hit and run.
- Thrilling, Corrupt, Nurses, and Discordance. This is good if you aren't committing to chases and have his recovery addons.
- Stfbl, Pop, Corrupt, and Enduring or Brutal Strength. This is basically what a clown player would use. Alright on every m1 killer.
- Nurses, Corrupt, Thana, and Sloppy if you just want to be Tru3Ta1ent.
-
AKA Nemesis and ebony mori
-
I'd only change one thing. I'd be banned from playing it.

Yeah, I think he need some TLC with how much has changed but nothing major. Just some quality of life stuff and a couple minor buffs here and there and I think he'd be in a fine spot.
Give him a slight speed boost in tier 3, a decent lunge at tier 1 with a faster gain of evil within, and the ability to activate his ability instead of being forced to 99 it and he'll be good to go. A slight addon rework with the changes is obvious. Also, they need to not limit how much he can stalk people or have the stalk regress slowly on them.

Pretty good

Ghost Face. Irritating, teabagging git who runs after survivors like he's a Scooby-Doo villain.
That’s why he’s the greatest to go against

this is common knowledge

As a ghostface and Myers main the two aren’t even comparable and have insanely different playstyles. Myers is all about the snowball fishing and Ghostie is usually a hit and run type with occasional one shots. Myers needs some tweaks though. His ability just needs to be brought up to par with the likes of oni, a quicker build up, the ability to max out without activation, and maybe a slight boost to movement speed when in evil within 3 would turn him into a bottom b-tier to a high tier killer. I’d even say to completely remove tier one, but that’s such a memey and fun way to play him I’d say to maybe just give him a normal lunge in tier one.

My dad. His power would be to throw a jug of milk at you.

This is too much work for BHVR to ever do. I think a couple of simpler mechanics (that are already in the game so should be easy to implement) are:
Fix face camping:
- Make it so when a killer is camping (can use the same criteria as the chaser emblem) that all other survivors receive a 50% bonus to their repair speeds. Can tweak the number, but basically, make it so if the killer facecamps, that all gens can get done before the survivor dies, giving the team a chance to even save that survivor. Right now if survivors stay on gens they can finish 4.5 gens before the survivor dies (does not include time between each gen). But if they had 50% more speed then they could finish 9 gens in that time, almost assuring that they get all the gens done.
- Make kindred base kit
Fix Tunneling and proxy camping:
- Make is so when a survivor is rescued from a hook they go into a new state called "ethereal" which behaves exactly like spirits power for the survivor. They become invisible, they have no collision, they move at like double speed, they leave no scratch marks, and they make no sound, they can see the killer's aura, they can see other survivors and other survivors can see them. This effect lasts for 20 seconds (same as BT) or until they get healed, or start repairing a gen, or basically do any action other than run.
- After that you need to rework BT and a few other perks like We'll make it to make them more viable for that scenario.
After that, you need to buff killers a bit, especially in the early game. I'd suggest to do something like, make it so generator speeds are halved until the first chase starts (similar to Scott Jund's trial warmup) or some other mechanism to change the early game.
These might be two of the worst ideas I've ever heard to fix either problem lmao

How about this game? 3 Would have escaped if it weren't for me being a Blight, them Missing DS and them being altruistic as hell.
”How about this game?” Gets a 3k. Most survivors aren’t all that good and most of the time you won’t even be downing people so quickly that you’re even worried about DS making Unbreakable meh unless you slug a bunch. It’s a lame meta build that doesn’t affect me at all unless I snowball super hard as certain killers. The only time the combo is truly busted is with an organized decent swf. You’re clearly doing well despite the perk combos and got a 32k game. A far cry from a bad experience that wasn’t rewarding I bet.
-
Has nothing to do with being doctor and would prolly work across the board.
-
Homie is complaining when he has two self cares lol
-
Myers needs his ability tweaked more than his addons need a rework.
-
You’re going to get stomped constantly when you start playing killer. Even when matchmaking somewhat works you’d get pips fast enough to get into games with actually good players before you’re ready. Best advice is to buckle up, learn the game, and get good.
-
Bruh there’s a whole ass button for it beside the chat window
-
The Devs have never once called it an anti tunneling perk. It’s anti momentum which means it’s doing its job in their eyes. It likely won’t get nerfed anytime soon.

So your comment is proven to be a pathetic excuse. Okay.
9/10 when the killer is guessing the survivor is also guessing. Spirit only has the survivor guessing. The difference was so hard to find. That’s wild.

Then go ahead, tell me what I don't understand.
There’s about 3 pages of people that have already done that. You don’t want to change your mind so you won’t. Either that or you just wanna argue to argue.

You’re last statement is amazing because it actually describes your problem. You don’t understand.

Nerf them both in ways that improve the overall game.

I wouldn't say anyone outclasses him.
You say someone outclasses someone else when they are a straight upgrade. For example pre-nerf billy outclassed pre-buff bubba.
Another example would be that a lot of people would argue that Huntress outclasses the Deathslinger because she does the same thing Deathslinger does but better.
So for a Killer to outclass Ghostface that would mean they do what Ghostface does but better. And no one does the stealth hit and run playstyle better than Ghostface.
That’s why I said he’s the best stealth killer. I meant in the general mechanics of the game there are far better killers.
-
He’s the best stealth killed, but he’s around mid B tier. There are MANY killers who outclass him. Just none can do it when it comes to stealth and hit and run play style.
-
Bruh just stfu and quit the game then.

True but as I've said I was running the beast with wraith giving them the advantage but the person quit for no reason that's why I found it funnny
You can do good with any killer with any addons. Wraith is weak. I’ve seen people dc against addonless perkless clown. I’ve had people DC because they got gen grabbed once. It’s not something to brag about lol

I respect your opinion.
I still think that nerfing SWF would be better. I do not consider the idea of removing auras as a "punishment", they will only have to get used to that way and they will also have to communicate more. It is simple and fast method instead of taking the time to improve the solo survivor and each one of the killers.
Removing auras wouldn’t make them any worse. If they’re actually good a good scary SWF they don’t need them. If you wanted to nerf swf it would have to be gen related. Anything information based it immediately countered by them being decently good and knowing how to do call outs.

How could the survivor be buffed in solo mode?
giving them similar information that swfs have. Always knowing where teammates are etc. Then you’d just have to buff the killers base kit. Much better than punishing a good portion of their player base.
-
@ Antares2332 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1541362#Comment_1541362
It would be almost the same as nerfing only SWF.
It wouldn’t? It would be healthier for the game to strengthen the two weak links instead of punishing people for playing with friends.
-
Because they thinks it’s doing it’s job. Anti momentum. Not anti tunneling
-
@ Antares2332 said:

The SWF should only be nerfed when they are a group of 4 people. If it is nerfed with a group of less people it will affect the solo mode, I don't like the idea of the killers being buffed instead because that will affect other games where the survivors are not in SWF
Nah, buff solo survivors and then buff killers accordingly.
-
Most SWFs aren’t good and go for whacky plays above winning. I don’t mind it personally.
-
Drop every pallet early and hold W. Pretty easy actually.

Nah i dont need sympathy id rather have people answer what I asked second quit being an idiot every single person who is like oh don't feed him is an idiot. You do realize anyone with a brain tries not to unless they dont have spine chill?! Or oh even better the fact there was no tree or pallets for los breaks where he chased me just unsafe walls and I tried not dying? Oh and lets see the fact that T3 IS EASY TO GET INTO! Seriously unless you have immersed survivors or maps without very open spaces t3 is guaranteed. And its just a matter of how many gens you get done(I didn't mean to respond to valor)
It’s definitely not easy to hit infinite tier 3 lmao

AND DO YOU THINK I PLAY WITH GOOD SURVIVORS IM ON XBOX MEANING MATCHMAKING IS TRASH. Its also funny that people bring this up as the survivors fault when haha read the damn post I asked what you thought about the way he played but nah its funny that yhis forum bags on every survivor who has a problem like seriously if I was a killer complaining about survivors assaulting me with flashlights or instaheals and break out plays I bet id have some sympathy
Nah, I’d treat them exactly the same as all the things you brought up are very counterable. I’m not killer sided at all. I joked about you having a bad game. Guy was mean sure, but your team fed him to tier 3. Also, plenty of people have given you sympathy. Stop crying
-
I want an undead pirate first. He just has a gun. No gimmick.
-
Bubba just wants bait lmao
-
Yeah, they’re random
-
Bro go and hit the survivor. They’ll be forced to leave.
-
I can’t believe he had Deer Stalker! Such an amazing crutch perk.
Really though it sounds kinda funny that you fed an infinite tier 3 Myers. That’s probably why he was nodding. I’d say a good survivor team could pop the gens and leave before t3 even popped on red forest
