Wraith, Pig, and Ghostie are above the chainsaw brothers. Good to see the boys in S tier finally tho
-
Just unlock fire up. It’s really the only perk you need for ez wins tbh
-
I see your problem. Just run Fire Up and it should clear itself right up.
-
The killer doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you run Fire Up. Ez wins
-
Real ones ship Myers and Ghostface.
-
Dwight would actually be doing the killing.
-
I think they just need to give it some counterplay that isn’t completely lame. I don’t know how they’d change it in a way they wouldn’t butcher it though
-
Whoa I think you may be the first person to make a thread like this. You might just be onto something... 🤯
-
So, you'll never play the game again? It be like that

If they came to the conclusion that pop needs a nerf over ds then the devs might not have been paying attention to the last years of this game lmao.
No need to bring up salt 'argument' because most of the community is pissed atm of the poor decision making.
Pop didn't get nerfed over DS. They didn't have any plans to nerf DS in the first place. You can't choose one thing over another when the other thing isn't even an option.
-
Yeah, nerfing perks isn't nerfing the killer.
-
Yes... I’m having fun. Neat thread my guy

Paired with a one shot killer it's OP and the meta in red ranks.
It's amazing on any killer. It just shines brighter with instadown killers. I ran it on blight for awhile because it was all I had and it was great.

Ah, classic red rank survivors who don't know that other perks exist.
When 90% of the survivor perks are mediocre at best I don't know why we're insulting people for using what's in the meta lmao
-
If I'm gonna be toxic I go all out. The game wanted me to get 4 basement hooks. I grabbed my level 15 hillbilly, slapped on my tier one insidious, and popped out my lawn chair in the basement.
-
Most of us have been in your exact same position. There's a positive about going against people that far outclass you. You're going to get better at the game much faster than you would if you were going against survivors on your skill level. If you aren't enjoying yourself taking a break is great though. If you recently got the game and don't have many perks I'd recomend watching a video that Not Otzdarva released recently. It's called "What Killer & Survivor should you get first? | Dead by Daylight"
-
I'd say a pretty high percentage are in red ranks and people are right. Rank means nothing. I just went against a team of all rank 1-3 as Wraith with only Shadowborn and Sloppy both tier 1. I harmlessly bonged while watching them pop the first gen because I was messing around and then proceeded to 4k as addonless Wraith with basically 1 perk on Autohaven.

There's these things called walls. Look at them.

Ahh gotcha, while I disagree I do see where your coming from. I just feel that characters like GF that 15 seconds can be quite prominent for managing time efficiently and still getting the Pop.
I see where you're coming from fs. Depends on playstyle at the end of the day.

Okay, whats the problem with what I'm saying then? For characters like GF this is quite a prominent nerf to the perk.
I disagree with it being prominent. I don't think it'll affect him more than any other killer.

Happens to the best of us. I don't see how either of those examples disprove my case though. Like it or not it takes time to stalk and down someone, and having 15 extra seconds is incredibly useful. Is it necessary? No. Is it helpful? Yes.
My point wasn't that it wasn't useful. It's that they don't need it. It can be helpful to have an extra 15 seconds on every killer.

You'd be surprised. After a hook stalking and getting an extra down can be useful, or just chasing regularly off a hook since his power is on a timer and is an m1 killer without it. You have to play quite methodically and plan out your moves while the game progresses, in which case those 15 seconds can be pivotal to getting the Pop off.
@Kolonite said:
Thrilling or BBQ will let you get easy 99s and one shots on people on gens after every hook. You do not need 60 seconds of pop on GF lmao
I meant to respond to you. I'm stupid lol

For killers that require more methodical actions like Ghost Face 15 extra seconds of Pop is extremely useful at times.
Yeah, Ghostface doesn't take that much strategy lmao

Pop's duration is being reduced because we found you could spend too much time doing other things and still have it available.

I don't see you calling out AI taking over real life jobs. If you're miffed about AI in DbD (Even though its on mobile lol) you're a hypocrite.
Bruh you wanna replace half the player base with AI and force them into KYF. A game a consumer paid to play is different than real jobs being taken by robots and AI. You're mental bro

I really wanna break a plethora of forum rules and make fun of you rn

I'm not for or against this, but it makes sense for him to be able to use his power to break pallets. His one shotting pals can do it so I don't see why not.

Im not biased because I am a main for both. I always laugh it off when a killer basically has perks that do the work for them in addition to a killer that's really easy to win with like GF, wraith,PH.... It just shows their skill level when they must have something like this to win. I literally think the argument against survivor builds is ridiculous because it protects against the many killers that wanna camp and tunnel plus it only has one use each. And as for BT, very rare for a whole team to have it, so if you know they are the one with BT you focus on them not the survivor they just helped or you chase the survivor for a max of 20 seconds for when it runs out and then attack. With ruin, they do indeed to be applying the pressure but thats easy to do, its usually the catching them that takes skill. With tinkerer, even if they do gens you will be on them instantly and them ruin kicks in while you chase bringing it back down to 70% or lower. Like it is smart but OP to use that kind of combo. Personally I don't like to rely on needing effective perks to decide how good I am and if they get taken out then your useless...
God how could we forget that wraith is S tier. Super easy killer that hands out free dubs.

Personal experience is all we have to go by, and I make every post with the caveat that these are my experiences. The only bad experience I've had with a Killer was Ghostface who slugged me as the ONLY Survivor left and made me watch him teabag me for 3+ minutes while I bled out. That one really got under my skin because what kind of mental defective does that? But beyond that, I simply have nothing involving Killers that rises to the point of being the so-called toxic.
You say you see plenty of them. What are YOU defining as toxic so we have some context. I told you my standards.
Toxicity is the use of slurs, insults, and death threats in post game chat. I honestly feel there's very few things that can be done in the game that's genuinely toxic. I don't think it's particularly toxic to not be a humble winner or loser. Teabagging, BMing, clicking, and all that is only toxic and aggravating if you let it be. They're doing it to get in your head.
-
Just use Fire Up. Easy wins tbh

But most Killers, by my standards, are NOT toxic. That nine out of ten being non-toxic is actually my experience. Remember, the only thing I require of a player to be considered a good sport is:
- Don't cheat, either with hacks or lag.
- Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
- Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
I've yet to run into a Killer hacking or using lag, or if I did it was subtle enough that I didn't catch it. Only once a great while perhaps one in twenty games or so, do I have a Killer disconnect. And I've never had a Killer go GG EZ or tell me to uninstall, or any of that stuff. Killers are either silent or just give me a GG at the end. They will actually be friendly and give more if a Survivor includes them. So that nine out of ten Killers are great, is probably even underestimating how nice they are if I was really to do the math.
Survivors (and remember I play one too) well... there are MORE of them and I see cheats all the time, disconnects every other game, and an utter lack of humility and graciousness far too regularly. I'm not trying to be biased; I wish this wasn't true. Sadly, it is.
Personal experience isn't a good measure. Survivors encounter survivors 3x more than they do killers and killers mains don't encounter any killers. Your personal experience doesn't mean much when it comes to which side is more toxic with numbers skewed that much. Of course to the average player it'll seem like there are far more meanie survivors than killers when it's a 4-1 ratio. Anecdotal evidence is terrible on it's own. It's even worse with DBD. You're experience is that killers are nicer and don't hack as much because there are far less killers and you see even fewer compared to survivors.
I don't really care much about toxicity. I think it's kinda funny if survivors are mad enough to be toxic after the game. If I used my own experience of course I'd think survivors are more toxic, but I almost never play survivor so I don't even see killers. When I do play survivor for challenges I see plenty of toxic killers.

There are in-game tactics and strategies, and there is out-of-game disrespect. But no, you are incorrect, I do NOT report people for Tea-bagging. While obnoxious, that is probably the mildest form of bad sportsmanship in the game. Tea-bagging happens in the match, and I can answer that inside the match. I report hacks, using lag to cheat, ethnic/sexist/etc. slurs, threats, and the weird stuff like telling me that they hope I (or pets, friends, family, etc.) get cancer. I report the things clearly listed in the in game reporting system.
Camping (including face camping), tunneling, slugging, and the Mori are tactics and strategies. Why wouldn't I be "cool" with them. Sure it sucks to have it happen, but I get far more irritated by other Survivors who farm me, show up doing nothing while I'm buying them time on the hook, or those weirdos who actively work with the Killer. In short, the Killer is simply doing their job and playing the game. If I have a problem with that, it isn't the Killer I could be upset with but the game itself.
I never said they weren't strategies. I main killer... I know you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. I said it's biased to not care when that's happening to you, but to get butthurt when you see a model move up and down or hear a flashlight click a few times. Both sides are full of toxic douches, but you don't see many douche killers in high ranks. Those killers derank on purpose to bully low rank survivors. Obviously report cheaters and people calling you slurs and giving death threats. Don't say 9/10 killers aren't toxic because the only reason they're saying "gg" when they lose is because if they don't they're gonna have 4 people talk ######### to them after they already took an L lol
-
I think blight is much more fun than doc personally

I believe him. I play both Killer and Survivor in equal measure, and I can assure you that his experiences are mild compared to the average Killer day. Most of us who play Killers have become jaded to the obnoxious behaviors. I barely notice Tea-Bagging anymore, or rather it doesn't raise my blood pressure. I just coldly note it and continue with my game. The word has kind of gotten around that I do record every game I play and I do report (with video evidence) every violation. The upside of the tedious process is I get less and less salt these days. The Salty simply say "nothing" at all... no GG... no whining or whinging... nothing. I am fine with that. I wouldn't go so far as to say 75% of the Survivors I run into are obnoxious. I put the numbers at 40-50%. I'm pleased to say about 10-20% are actually quite nice in the post game.
When I play Survivor nine out of ten Killers I play against (that can talk post game) will give me a GG, some nice feedback, and even the odd compliment. Only about one in ten does obnoxious stuff like slugging me down as the last Survivor and then tea-bags around (Ghostface) until I bleed out. This kind of person is defective, but mercifully rare. I don't get offended by being camped (not even face camped), tunneled, slugged, or being hit with a Mori. That is just the game. So as long as the Killer is polite afterwards, and isn't using hacks (oddly enough I don't think I've ever run into a Killer hack yet... they must exist but I've never seen one), we are good.
The problem is there is a disparity, and sadly the bulk of the awfulness is Survivor side. They provide more Salt, and (so far) all the Hacks and Lag cheating I've encountered. Like it or not, we have to police our fellow Survivor players and stand up to the garbage antics. The Killer should not be the only one reporting the foul language, abuse, and such at the end of the game. Survivors who don't engage in it, but are there, should be reporting it too. More to the point, I call that stuff out when other Survivors do it, and I will remove them from my friend list instantly. I'm not going to into battle with people who behave like that because their behavior DOES reflect on me.
This post is so biased. You record and report players for teabagging, but you're cool with killers literally face camping you and actually tunneling you off hook and using a mori. I find it much more enjoyable to have a bit of a teabag session with a survivor than I would to get face camped and hit with a mori off hook.
-
You're bad at killer because you're letting a model moving up and down affect you to the point where you camp someone until they're dead. If you want to win you need to pressure gens. Not stand in front of a hook because you got your fefes hurt. It's a better feeling to actually beat the teabaggers than it is to just camp one and throw the match. This game somehow has the softest and most toxic fanbase.
-
I can play plague she's just hella nasty so I don't. I cannot play Spirit. If I have to do a daily for her it's the most harrowing experience.

Its been my thought but I think one generator should automatically start per disconnect. It's really hard when a teamer DCs and then his team follows. Or even at the start of the match when one DCs. I know sometimes it's connection and sometimes intentional but it's really hard to continue as a survivor. I don't support the time bans but feel the DCing could be appropriated other ways
Imagine the killer gets a three gen and the survivors can’t get a gen to pop because of it and one of them just DCs so a gen pops lmao
-
I doubt the map would have mattered much with a streamer on a war path win streak with their swf. It’s definitely a survivor sides map though. My main gripes are with the actual visual design. It’s so bland lmao
-
They shouldn’t? If they aren’t having fun they aren’t forced to stay in the game. It’s obviously childish, but most games don’t have a dc penalty.

You don't have memories of looping a killer for like 3-4+ gens because the map used to have twice the pallets it currently does? Even after the pallet nerfs you can still get clusters of like 5+ safe pallets on any given section of the map, with some of them being jungle gyms or shack.
Not to mention Ormond still has multiple god window spawns.
Overall, my contender for the most survivor sided map in the game now that springwood was gutted. People can say Haddo but really, all haddo has now is the houses of pain and being a big map. The filler pallets are not nearly as safe or frequent as the Ormond ones.
I play mostly killer and I’ve never had a game on Ormond that I got stomped in. It might just be that I get meh survivors when I happen to play it or that chases aren’t all that important to Ghostface so they don’t get too much use out of the safe pallets and god windows. I’d much rather play a snowy game than to go to Haddonfield lol
-
Mostly the fact that I play it
-
It’s very bland. It’s basically just a main building + shack and some hills. I have barely any memorable moments from that map.
-
If you’re getting a 0k every game I don’t think the killer your playing the issue

Yes, With the introduction of these perks, survivors actually have to try to play to win, instead of holding a button at a gen, sorry you no longer are having easy wins.. sorry not sorry
Also.. Do Bones
The thing is it's not even much better than the current killer meta. Especially for high mobility killers. Pop + Corrupt + Thrilling/BBQ. One build gives you guaranteed info and gen regression through the whole game and the other is based purely on how lucky you get with totems and isn't even much better.

It's braindead because everything about the build is free. Told which gens to pressure while given a stealth function with it. Told where survivors are and if they're busy on totems.
And i'm not pointing out this build because I struggle with it. It's me pointing out the new braindead meta pretty much every players is using on every killer now; but particularly high mobility ones.
2/3 of the build can be destroyed at the very beginning of the match. Hexes are high risk high reward. I'd genuinely hope you don't think hexes should be on the same level as regular killer perks. I've used ruin and undying a few times on Blight and most of the time I end up playing with 2 perks instead of 4 for most of the game lmao
