So you don't hit with most of your shots?

    ...

Sorry I couldn't resist but that is to see in every Star Wars movie :).

That's precisely my point! I miss 99% of my shots. "Only Stormtroopers are so precise." Man was Obi-Wan just a pathological liar?

  • I want to try Deathslinger, but let's just say... I'm a Stormtrooper.

Oh, I had one that none of us even heard the heartbeat. Killer didn't DC, but we got all 5 gens and the Exit gates without anyone seeing or hearing him at all.

I didn't hear the heartbeat all game. I did see spine chill light up a couple times, but I thought it was Bubba in the basement spinning around waiting for some poor schmuck to come down and get killed.

He ended up with 0 points. I ended up with the most because I did 4 totems. (4 totems are NOT easy to find on midwich either)

A night or two ago? Playing on the Gas Heaven map? I think I was in that one with you. 😂

It was a night or so ago, but on Midwich. I did FOUR totems to try to avoid gen rushing. At first i thought it was a basement Bubba waiting with insidious, so I avoided the basement. But when i got to end screen, turns out it was Wraith.

What are these horrible Wraiths doing??? 😩

I had one who was AFK the whole match, and we all depipped.

I'm curious about this as well...I think getting better ranking demands more and more interaction with the Killer (evasion/looping) the farther you get, but I'm not sure about absolute stats 🤔

I'm rank 13 and I just sabotaged 2 hooks, did about 3 gens and a totem, and topped it off with a zero hook Hatch escape...and safety pipped -_-

I did 2 gens, 4 totems, never was hooked, opened the exit gate, none of us ever got hit and we all depipped because the Wraith was invisible in a corner of the map avoiding us.

  • Too costly for the most part. I might prestige Cheryl again. (I did it on Switch, but since moving to PS4 I still have yet to get all my perks back at this point). Maybe if they reduced the grind a bit. Cut BP cost of all items by 1000 BP would be a good start.

Are you facing survivors that see you and run and hide for the next 5 minutes? Because a smart survivor will run until he's not chased any more, and go right back to the gen. I regularly repair gens in the terror radius of killers when I know they're chasing someone else because there's nothing they can do to stop both of us

Yes, a smart survivor will run until he's not chased anymore. And then he'll either waste time healing, or he'll work on the gens injured, and be an easy down later when you run into him when he's not in as good of a position. You have to spend your chases wisely.

  • When he said "You're playing Freddy with Haunted and Devour HOpe" you should've said "Unbreakable and DS say hello." then left.

  • Prioritize getting survivors off of gens over getting downs in the early game. Helps a LOT. It seems counter-intuitive, but it works.

Having only 2 gens left after the first MINUTE of the game is extremely stressful and unfun even when you win, it's a problem and even the devs know it because they are adding some new mechanic to slow down the early game. Now throw on a map like Ormond and tell me that 3 gens in the first minute is balanced, honestly I get the impression you only play one side in this game because even my SWF buddies think gen speed is way to forgiving and easy.

Yep, I totally only play one side. Funny how I get accused of being a killer main in one topic, and a survivor main in the next! I guess I just can't make up my mind.

They're adding an early game collapse to give the killer early game pressure, which they currently don't have. But the fact is, the game isn't over just because 3 gens pop. I've literally had games where 4 gens pop before I get my first hook, and still get a 3K. That's without camping, without tunneling, without NoED and in High Ranks. Also, it's very rare that 3 gens pop in ONE minute, given that gens take 80 seconds to pop with one person on each generator unless you have toolboxes. Which don't cut that much time off gens! It's only stressful if you let it be stressful. Learn that 3 gens popping isn't the end of the world, and that you can still gain pressure. Every time I hear a Killer say "I can't stop these gens from popping!" all I can think to myself is "You're not supposed to!" Gens are going to pop. Very rarely will you finish a game with less than 3 gens popping. And you shouldn't! A game where less than 3 gens pop would be incredibly dull and boring.

That first 60s is enough time for them to finish 3 gens, sorry fam but gen speed is NOT fine, at least not in the early game.

What if I told you that your goal wasn't to stop them from completing 3 gens?

P3 claudette wants to know your location.

Let me know where I can find her.

  • So some people spend money to play this game just to click M1 and down survivors who force their way into chases? SMH. Some people actually have skill and find survivors themselves.

  • Okay, if Spirit can be read, then tell us how to read them. I look forward to hearing this game changing information.

  • Gen speeds are fine. The problem is that killers have no early game pressure. Once you start exerting pressure, the game slows down significantly. That's why 3-gen strategies usually work pretty well. Sometimes they don't, but sometimes the survivors you face are just better. Fix the early game pressure, then alleviate some issues survivors have (such as camping + tunneling) and then you have a better balanced game.

  • Cruel Limits is the best perk in the game. I used to run it by itself with Clown and got nothing but 4K's. And I'm not even good at Clown! Survivors tremble in fear whenever killers run that perk. Most streamers won't even run it because they don't want to get called Toxic. I still run it now and then, usually by itself, after a particularly bad match with survivors.

(Okay BHVR, I've talked up your perk. Can I get some free bloodpoints?)

  • Haven't done the light em' up challenge yet. Right now working on an old tome with the stupid Dark Sense. Suddenly all my teammates want to do gens.

  • Your teammate left the match, so the dance was earned imo. DCing like that is poor sportsmanship. The killer barely had any hooks, and he was going to get his one kill. Can't blame him for that. He's just doing the only thing he can do. Is he supposed to just let you get a free unhook? He was doing the only thing he COULD do.

  • Oh yeah, the guy with object I killed the other day? Also had DS and Dead Hard. So killing him was basically my top priority. Probably why I lost that game. But sometimes principles come before winning.

  • No thanks, I like my free stacks of STBFL.

  • Simple solution:

-If the killer is in chase, gen speed is reduced by x%

-If a survivor is on the hook, gen speed is increased by x%

This means if a killer is camping a survivor, and is not in chase, gens are getting done faster.

It also slows down gen speeds a little.

  • Yeah, every time I see an object my first thought is "Gotta get them out of the game."

Had an object the other day. They were the ONLY person I killed in that game, but I was satisfied killing them. Then had another one. It was a Laurie, so I figured she was doing her adept. She wasn't, but she was pretty new. She died on her second hook. (I would've probably let her go, just because I thought she was doing her adept, and I was having a pretty easy go of it)

  • Here's how I'd buff them:

Breakdown should also apply when you rescue people. (Except the Aura)

    Aftercare is fine.

Distortion should gain a token every time you're unhooked.

  • Ping tends to vary. When I play on my normal network (which I've had to quit doing, DBD drops connection way too often with it. I'm trying to change my internet company, even though it's literally going to cost me a fortune to do it) my ping in lobby will be like... 70. Then suddenly it drops to like 200-500. I've run into players who've had really bad ping, then suddenly decent ping. And they aren't cheating, because I down them and hooked them very easily.

On my Hotspot internet (which is limited, and the only way I can play DBD for the next couple of months) my ping is more stable. But even then I still get put in lobbies with yellow ping once in a while. But those games tend to still be mostly playable.

Which challenges are you guys struggling with? I only have 3 left and I swear I just cannot get them for some reason. On paper they don't sound impossible, but for some reason I just can't do it.

Survive with 3 other people leaving the trial before you--I almost never have a full team leaving the trial!

Stun the killer 3 times in one trial--killers at the rank I'm at usually know better than to get stunned.

Survive as the obsession--I FINALLY figured out a way to ensure getting the obsession without using DS (I'm awful at hitting DS and every killer just slugs anyway), but now I just have NOT been able to survive.

What about you guys?? I've done all of the killer challenges, but I'm stuck on these 3 survivor ones!

Survive with 3 other people - Doesn't have to be 3 at once.

Stun the killer 3 times - Use Head On in combination with pallets and DS. That way you have more ways of stunning them. Does kind of suck it has to be in one trial. Could also hope for a killer with Enduring.

Survive as the obsession - Use For the People just before you leave on a teammate that's surely injured Then head out the exit gate.

Personally I'm having trouble with blinding the killer 5 times. Some older challenges too. I can't blind the killer once. Whenever I aim at them, it doesn't blind them. I try aiming EVERYWHERE. Then the flashlight just goes out.

  • Shouldn't be within 12 meters, but they should definitely remove her ability to place traps within say 3 meters of the hook. If Hag can't do anything outside of camping, then maybe the solution should be fixing Hag.

  • I hate playing Freddy because I usually have at least one teammate who'll DC.

  • First three? Yeah, you're not getting out of those games barring them being terrible. You've got no chance at that point unless you bring a key and an SWF with BNP's to get the gens done quick.

Last one though, pretty reasonable. Brought a cake, probably doing a Huntress challenge or something. Didn't even bring an infantry belt. You really want bad, you go up against a Huntress with Ebony Mori, Iri Hatchet, Infantry Belt, NoED, and does it really matter what else she brings after that? Oh and did I mention she camped.

I did finally beat an Iri Hatchet Huntress the other day, though. With infantry belt and an Ivory Mori. Actually didn't realize she had an Iri Hatchet until I got hit with it.

  • Simple solution:

After 5 minutes of no gens being completed, the killer can go into the basement and power the exit gates themselves.

5 minutes after that, survivors can power the exit gates in the basement as well.

  • Anti-Camping idea.

Make campers double pip. PUt them in the red ranks so they face sweat squads. Kill two birds with one stone.

  • I hate when other survivors cleanse against her when I spend the entire game not cleansing, then I get hit by the vile purge cause they cleansed.

That's what I mean. You have seen doc 4 times in 48 games. In 48 games I see him about 25 times. My chances of getting doc are way way way higher than they should be.

Start running Calm Spirit. You'll almost never see a Doc. Lol

  • It's kind of hard to complain about the rift when you can wait until you complete it to buy the rift pass. And you get the rift pass auric cells back if you complete it.

Also, if anything Crossplay has shortened the queue times.

  • I see a lot of pyramid heads set up camp and put trail of torment all around the hook and then never leave the area.

Deathslingers are also pretty bad for camping/tunneling. I think just about every deathslinger I run into except maybe a couple tunnel hard. I did have a nice one yesterday who didn't.

  • Fixated, because it teaches survivors how scratchmarks work

BBQ + Chili because it reduces the grind for killers, and also teaches them how to find survivors after hooking rather than camping.

  • Galaxy Brain: Run Diversion. Throw a pebble.

  • If I book it, it means that Spine Chill has lit up and the killer is on their way back.

Dear survivors I unhook: If it's a Huntress, DO NOT STAND ON TOP OF THE HILL I JUST UNHOOKED YOU FROM AND LOOT THROUGH A CHEST. Please? It's really not safe. Sincerely, a concerned teammate.

  • I never bring higher than a Cypress Mori. Couldn't even if I wanted to cause I don't have many of them. It might be people trying to complete the rift challenge that requires you to kill all 4 survivors by any means.

  • I'm currently Rift Level 48.

Challenges I still have yet to complete:

    Tier 1-

Blinded by the Light (I can't use flashlights for the life of me)

Handyman (Haven't leveled up Ace enough to use him)

Seal the Deal (No way am I trying this with Hag.)

Zero to Sixty (Just haven't tried)

Ruined Plans (No way am I trying this with Hag. I"m terrible as Hag)

    Tier 2-

    None, All are completed

    Tier 3 -

Back Off - Haven't tried it yet.

    Liberator - 8/12

High Skill - Can't try it yet.

Trained for this - can't try it yet

Light 'Em Up - Again with the flashlights...

Heroic Virtue - Haven't started it yet.

Subject of Attention - Going to try this with Zarina later. For the People should let me become the obsession pretty easily.

Concealed Cut Throat - I'm terrible with Wraith. Maybe if I level him up a bit later.

  • Reduce his movement speed? That's stupid. His teleport has a huge cooldown, and it gives a giant warning every time its coming. He doesn't need to be a 110 killer. Maybe we should slow survivors down instead, since they can loop for days.

  • Waking up is pretty easy. Just miss a skill check.

  • Only nerf I think he should get is maybe let BT proc when you're asleep. Otherwise, I think he's fine.

  • It'd be hard to implement, because killers already have 4 perks vs 16. So their power is meant to account for roughly 12 perks. Then you have to consider it might make one particular survivor more powerful than the others. That's a lot to consider for balance.

It'd be cool if each survivor had one of their teachables at base. But you'd have some survivors who just have very little (Ash, Steve) while others would have a lot (Dwight, Meg)

  • Step 1: Reduce the cost of everything by 1000 BP. This cuts the grind by roughly 25%

Step 2: New category for bloodpoints, raising the BP cap per match to 40,000. Participation. For every minute you're in the trial, you earn 1000 BP. (This is for killers and survivors) Maxes out at 8000 points like all others. This also encourages players to stay in the game.

That should make the grind more bearable for new players without making anything too crazy.

  • This is largely why I moved to PS4. There's some issues, but it's nowhere near as bad. I'm up to the purple ranks on PS4 now.

  • If I wanted a 14 year old screaming obscenities at me, I would've had kids.

  • Ghostface and Wraith. I can't see them for anything.

  • Keys being personal doesn't really solve many problems. You can still have two survivors escape through the hatch. Which is pretty annoying. One goes through with a key, the second goes through because they're the last survivor left and the hatch opens for them.

Just had a match where two escaped through the hatch. And it was frustrating because I had done well. Hooked two people three times, hooked another one twice, and the last guy I had hooked once. 4 gens got done, but I had a nice three gen set up. Two people were all that were left. They managed to find a key however, and escaped through the hatch leaving me with brutal killer and only 19k bloodpoints.

Did I make any mistakes? Not really. Never got stunned by a pallet, ended my chases very quickly. It's not like I was in overly long chases. I didn't tunnel. When David #2 hopped in a locker, I figured he had DS and ignored him, and found David #1 and downed him about 15 seconds later. I played about as well as you might expect a low tier killer like Pig to play! Sure, I wasn't Nurse downing people in 5 seconds, but I wasn't committing to overly long chases, kept finding survivors, and downed them pretty quickly. Yet, I still wound up with just 19k bloodpoints. Which yeah, is more than if a killer brings a mori. But what honestly could I have done differently? There's no way to combat a key without franklin's. And these survivors didn't bring a key into the match. They found it. There's pretty much nothing I could've done to extend the match. Gens were bound to get done. I guess I could've avoided killing ANYONE in the match, and hooked them all twice before hooking them a third time. But is that really playing optimally on the off chance that hey, maybe they have a key? I'm curious to know how you're supposed to do more, when the survivors find something so broken in the match itself. Not even bringing it in. I should've easily gotten a 3K. Might have even gotten a 4K. Instead, I wound up with a 'tie' with 9 hooks and not enough BP to come out of the match satisfied.
