  • I play the way I'd want people to play against me. *shrug*

  • Only under two circumstances:

    1 - I'm going for a 4K challenge.

    or

2 - The last guy has OoO or a Styptic or was particularly toxic

  • The Emblem System is dumb.

"Oh, you killed three people, and had two gens left uncompleted? But the Exit gate was open! You get SILVER!"

"Oops, looks like you got hit by decisive strike! Time to take away some malicious points."

  • Why do I feel like this is Bait? There's Definitely Something Undeniably Baity Down Here.

  • The way I run loops as both killer and survivor. I don't run them tight enough (because I always run into stuff otherwise) and if I could stop doing that I'd be a 100x better player.

  • It's a survivor favoring bug, so that's why something so game breaking hasn't been fixed like yesterday.

You mean like the DS stun bug? Or the Hill Glitch?

  • No it's not.

Nor should it be. There's times where its strategic.

I do feel bad because I facecamped this player a couple games ago, thinking they had OoO. Turns out, I forgot I had bitter murmur and didn't realize gens popped every time I saw their Aura. They took it very nicely, though.

  • Pig's attack is a special attack, much like Legion's (who's attacks also don't count for basic attacks, despite literally just being an M1 that makes you mend)

  • Survivors aren't OP. It's just that the game is designed in such a way to encourage 'scummy' play by killers, because they simply aren't rewarded enough for playing 'fair'. I'd say some killers definitely need some buffs, and killers overall need a buff. But Survivors need buffs in some areas too (and nerfs in others, much like killers) And then devs give counters to that scummy play, so survivors only need to run a couple perks to counter it.

I don't think it's as simple as people make it out to be. It's not a simple matter of "Buff Killers!"

  • I run Detective's Hunch most of the time. So much that when I see people talk about DH I think "Detective's Hunch" rather than Dead Hard.

Sadly though it tends to get me tunneled by killers who don't like their Ruin destroyed.

  • It was fun to watch, but the rules could use some tweaking. Too many games were out of hand too early because the point differential was simply insurmountable. I feel like that shouldn't happen. Killer variety could've been a little better, but we did see a few different killers at least.

It's funny because pink add-ons/offerings are so ######### common it's insane, and yet green rarity (which is supposed to be more common than pink) barely ever shows up. ######### gives.

Like you find more Ebony Moris than Ivorys. How. HOW????

Gives us our BPS back devs, esp as you barely ever do double BP events anymore.

As they explained, there's more Iri addons than Green ones. So while you'll have more green overall, you'll have more of an individual Iri. Which is why we need some more Iri addons.

Run infront of the killer and do totems or just spend time in the basement.... don't forget to max your objective by doing gens and opening gates.

Nothing much you can do about this.

    These matches are rare enough.

If it's an AFK Wraith... get outplayed. You can still do totems or stay in basement.

Don't forget to report for afk.

I had a match where I escaped, did 4 totems, a generator, and still depipped. You can get more BP by doing that, but you'll still depip for a pretty dumb reason.

  • The meta won't change until Killers get more out of going for a healthy survivor with 3 hook states left over an injured survivor with 1 or 2 hookstates left.

  • Boots are a good idea, but I don't think they should boost speed. Maybe reduce the stagger when falling? Kind of like Balanced Landing, but without the speed boost.

  • Give him 2 traps by default, and let him summon disarmed traps from a distance. He shouldn't have to walk all the way across the map just to get his traps.

Giving him extra movement speed would be too much. He already vaults faster, also 4.9 man that's a lot.

4.9 is probably a bit too much, I was going for incremental numbers. But I don't think 4.8 would be too crazy. Basically Myers with one stack of Play With Your Food for reaching Tier 3. I feel like Myers in Tier 3 should be one of the most terrifying things in the game.

  • Buff his Tier 1 movement speed to 4.3 m/s

Survivors gain evil by doing generators. Reducing the limitations The Shape has now.

Buff his Tier 3 speed, too, to 4.9 m/s.

  • Here's my unsolicited opinion:

First, give killers a new basekit ability. I'm not sure exactly what it should be. But killers could use a new ability at base to help with balance.

As for changes to individual killers:

-Let Trapper carry two traps at base. Also let him summon his traps from a distance, so he doesn't have to walk all the way across the map for his power. Could limit it by distance or only traps that are disabled.

-Give Wraith Passive Invisibility. Reduce his reappearance time a little at base.

    -Billy is fine IMO

    -Fix Nurse's bugs.

-Survivors should regain 'evil' to be stalked by completing actions like working on generators. Also speed him up just a tad in Tier 1.

-Hag shouldn't be able to place traps so close to the hook. Otherwise, I think she's fine.

    -Doc is fine.

-Huntress just needs Iri Hatchets changed.

    -Bubba is fine.

    -Freddy is fine.

-Make Pig's dash attack last longer. She should be a little faster in stealth. Make her boxes affected by perks. Replace Tampered Timer with Tampered Key, which makes the box with the key always the last box searched (but increases the timer). Get rid of the add-ons that give status effects. Reduce her terror radius to 24 meters.

-No more slowdown for Clown when he reloads. Make him quieter.

-Give survivors audio cues about where Spirit is coming from. Doesn't have to be massive, but something detectable at least.

-Shorten the stun. Basic Attacks no longer drain the Feral Frenzy gauge. Canceling the power no longer drains the whole gauge. Can use their ability even without it being full.

    -Plague is fine.

-Shorten the time it takes for ghostface to recover his power.

-For Demogorgon Make Rat Liver and Rat Tail base kit. Make him a little quieter.

    -Oni is fine.

    -Honestly not sure about Deathslinger.

-For Pyramid Head, Kindred now works on cages. As does WGLF. In return, BBQ gets a stack (but no aura) and it also works with Make Your Choice. Also, BT should work with cages but NOT DS.

-Increase the amount Blight can turn.

the HUD is cool but his scoring system is wack

A survivor team did all gens and could have literally all went AFK, died, and still would have won but ended up tieing because they saved a guy on hook instead of letting him die.

Bleeding out does not give points, hitting 2nd stage on hook doesnt count, its all wack.

    Team A 4k'ed and 1 Escape

    Team B 3k'ed and 0 Escape

    They tied.

To me that makes no sense.

  • Survivor is easier to play. You have teammates to rely on, and even when they suck they're at least wasting the killer's time.

Killer is much harder to play, more frustrating too. The game is simply designed to make you play scummy if you want to win/do well against survivors who just sit on gens.

The only positive to playing killer is that you cannot be taken out of the game prematurely.

  • Quintin. Always the Quintin.

  • I'll always go for the save unless all gens are done. Then I won't if I'm injured and you didn't heal me (You had your shot!) or if the killer is camping and can't be persuaded to leave you and it's a killer that's a strong camper (Leatherface, Billy, Myers, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head)

  • A Dalek killer would be pretty awesome. I'd think we'd get a companion survivor if we did.

Does it fit DBD? Not that well. Doesn't mean a Dalek killer wouldn't be awesome. Just like Darth Vader would be awesome, even though he doesn't really fit.

Am I allowed to DC as a killer when I start the trial seeing 4 man OoO all tbagging like crazy?

Yes. Especially if its on Midwich. If you don't, then well you're a better person than I am.

  • Having NoED doesn't make you a trash killer. But if you're a trash killer, you're probably using NoED. (and probably a Mori too). Just like having DS and Unbreakable doesn't make you a trash survivor. But if you're a trash survivor, you probably have both.

Exit gates spawning close together? Really? They should never be close together. Once they are powered all the killer has to do is patrol two spots, he shouldn't be able to stand in one place and cover both doors. They already get to see the aura of the doors so they know right where to go.

I mean as close together as possible. For an Ultra rare, that'd be fine. We need more Ultra Rares so we have less Mori's.

  • I try to get survivor to boop the snoot. I'm always sad when they don't.

  • Dear PC Players.

I want to like you. I really do. But when you keep attacking us and lumping us all together, it doesn't make it easy.

  • Obviously its time they add some new Ultra Rare offerings.

    Some ideas:

-Bloody Buffet (3x Bloodpoints for all in the trial)

-An offering that guarantees a survivor spawns closest to the killer as possible

-An offering that has the exit gates spawn close together

It's not about running or not into people who using things like that.

It's about people who loudly demand other side not to play certain way and who don't want to change their playstyle aswell.

You ever consider survivors start running the powerful stuff because they run into killers who do? It's a cycle. Doesn't start or end with either side.

  • I don't use DS, or BNPs or Styptics. (or keys, obviously)

Still run into killers who proxy camp at 4 gens even after the first guy DC's.

  • It'd be nice.

I want to learn Nurse and Huntress, but I also don't want to get stomped by survivors as they go out the exit gates after 4 minutes.

  • Pallets are more fun.

Every killer should have fake pallets. It'd give killers a new power, which they could really use. (Breakable Walls wasn't really the answer)

I'm not sure there's anything funnier in DBD than a survivor throwing a fake pallet, and then later throwing that same fake pallet again.

  • I highly recommend watching Raging Ryuga's video on Spawn points. I learned a lot watching it. There's probably others, but I haven't watched them.

  • A Haiku, by Amanda "Pig" Young:

    Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep

Boom Goes your head, now you're dead

    Should've booped the snoot

  • You'll get all kinds of survivors in Solo. I've had survivors who'll come for a save at the right time, be careful, and unhook safely, and I've had survivors who didn't come at all and I die on my first hook struggling all the way until the end without anyone even close to unhooking me. Had a match like that today where someone played Streamers. We were against a Bubba, who wasn't a face camper. The fact that he downed another teammate didn't seem to tell my other teammates that, though. And neither did Kindred. Teammates who don't even come for the rescue when its totally safe are worse than face camping bubbas tbh.

  • I find them easier to use now. I actually got my blind challenges done, when I couldn't even get 1 blind before.

  • Haven't been to the new Yamaoka yet. In fact I've only been to new Badham once. Aren't they supposed to appear more often right now?

  • I don't think he's as hard as nurse, since he's a normal speed killer.

  • Is it reportable if a killer exploits the DS bug and downs a survivor after getting a short stun?

No, it's not. And it shouldn't be. The bugs should be fixed, but it's not the fault of survivors or killers that the bugs are there.

  • Game seems to run better. Still has some frame rate drops at bad moments (Skill checks particularly), but when I played killer it felt as good as it did before Crossplay came around.

Also the DS nerf will probably be fixed very quickly, though it'd be funny if it took them a week to fix it and interesting to see how that tournament goes with DS nerfed into the ground.

  • Had to update my PS4 which took 12 hours. Eventually was able to play.

First game as survivor didn't go well. We had a Hag, and I hate going against Hag. Game mostly ran smoothly, but did have a bad frame rate drop when a skill check popped up causing me to miss. Got hooked last, when everyone else was already dead.

Then I played a game of killer, and managed to beat a full red rank team for the first time since crossplay. Of course one of them was going for his adept, but I was also playing Pig, not exactly an OP killer (and with only one brown add-on). The game just felt better than it has in a while.

Also DS is apparently a really short stun now. It won't last, and will probably be patched tomorrow morning. But it's nice while it lasts. (They really should probably shorten the stun a little)

  • Trapper - People who play Trapper are really dedicated to a killer who needs some improvements. Maybe let him carry two traps, and let him summon his traps from a distance too.

Wraith - Always scares the crap out of me.

Billy - The first killer I was able to actually get some kills with. Never did get the hang of his chainsaw though.

Nurse - When you suck at nurse, but pull off a sick blink it feels awesome.

Hag - First killer I was good at for a little bit (then sucked at). She also has Ruin so thanks for that.

Doctor - Makes finding survivors much easier. Since his rework, he's really fun to play.

Myers - Scares the crap out of you if you don't know he's the killer. Also first killer I 4K'ed with.

Huntress - Massive respect to anyone who can hit long distance hatchets.

Freddy - Fake Pallets are a lot of fun. I wish there were an option to play with them instead of using an add-on.

Pig - She's best girl. S tier in my heart.

Clown - Reminds me of Inside Out.

    Spirit - Coolest looking killer.

Legion - Awesome idea. Needs a serious buff, though.

    Plague - Has great cosmetics.

    Ghostface - Best stealth killer.

Demogorgon - Best chase music. You're wrong if you say otherwise.

Oni - Terrifying to face a good Oni.

Deathslinger - Has the coolest default outfit.

Pyramid Head - Has a cool power, is from an awesome series, and is a fantastic addition to the game.

Leatherface - So misunderstood. Yes, some facecamp. But the very first time I went up against one, he gave me the exit gate! I've seen a few give the hatch too.

  • Yeah, I'm not sure it needs to be a Hex.

I do wonder though, I haven't been able to test it out... what happens if you get the hit, then the survivor drops the pallet. Does the pallet not get dropped?

  • Eve from Parasite Eve.

Or Jason Vorhees, but that'll be a while yet I think.

  • @konchok said:

Well let's hear it, how would you buff it to be worth using. Remember that it's a hex perk that can be broken.

I'd say they should make it not a hex perk over that. Haven't been able to see it in action myself yet, though.

  • Kindred

    Iron Will

    Spine Chill

    Detective's Hunch

Kindred lets you know if your teammates are mucking about or going for the save. Also lets you know where the killer is headed next.

Iron Will makes you harder to find when you're injured.

Spine Chill gives you advance warning of the killer.

And Detective's Hunch lets you find all 5 totems you'll inevitably have to cleanse to avoid NoED.

  • What rank are you? That might make a difference.

I've gone into the basement with the exit gates open against a Spirit to save a Claudette. It didn't work mind you. But I tried. I got them part of the way out, tanked a hit, but the Spirit was just too fast.

  • Am I the only one who almost never sees rainbow matches anymore? Matchmaking has been pretty good to me lately.
