  • Originally I really disliked the idea of battle pass coming into DBD but after seeing how well it's getting implimented I think it's pretty good deal as long as you care for cosmetics. It boils down to self control so if someone has problem with impatience and can't wait 6 months and needs to have their cosmetic now then yes they may not like this system since it "forces" them to buy the battlepass.

    1) As long as you play DBD it's free since the rift is targeted to be unlocked around average playtime of 1h daily.

    2) Well you gotta ask yourself, have you ever bough anything in DBD and will you buy at least 1 more cosmetic/DLC in rest of DBDs lifespam ? If yes battlepass is good deal for you and if not then I don't understand why would you care for battlepass at all.

    3) People need to have self control. If someone gets tempted to buy cosmetics based on other people having them then they have a serious problem since nobody can have everything what others have. By that logic all cosmetics are a scam since they force all players to buy them since someone else has them.

    4) Well as I said, players need to be mindful of their money and always consider if what they spent them on is what they really want. BHVR as a company was alway doing their best to give out as much free stuf as they could. I truly dislike how quickly people forget that original game had 100x less content and was far more broken but costed pretty much the same. Since then they gave us TONS of free chapters, cosmetics, maps and what not. Yet unless we get literally EVERYTHING for free people will still call them greedy.

    5) BHVR is a company so I don't see why they would stop making more cosmetics when people frequently buy and enjoy them. And as was said many times art team can't really go and fix map design or balance killers. If people want to support the game they have the right to do so via buying cosmetics.

    6) You can buy the pass after you've completed the rift to be sure you get your moneys worth.

    7) They fix the game as well, slowly but they do. It's just another feature to give people who play a lot something to do.

Overall I can see why you dislike the battlepass and that's fine. For some people it definitely could be addictive way to get their money and time but I think that BHVR did a good job with handling the battlepass.

  • Suit with top had for Ace. Asked by me since 2016.

  • Hope they'll extend it.

  • But they do have rare item that has power of ultra rare if you use 1 rare and 1 common addon. I'm talking about emergency medkit which heals you now extremely fast. I've tried it and it's nuts how fast it heals now and how many times if you use addons.

  • I've wanted these cosmetics for Ace since the day he was realease :( still no luck.

  • That's nice and all but have you seen the new medkits ? Like damm if you use emergency medkit + charge addons with some healing perks you get like 3-4 heals that take very little time to heal (can't remeber exact numbers but not much more then 6s). I think that this will be new generation of toxic setups that try hard SWFs will use.

  • Tried the new nurse and I dare to say that not much about her base actually changed if played by a good nurse. There is slightly more wiggle room to get away from her but if she sees you and nailes her first 2 blinks, you're dead. Totally love her new addons especially the matchbox, it's so much fun to be a racecar nurse on PTB.

Peanits just confirmed above you some stuff will stay exclusive.

Well that covers that I guess.

    Besides the charms.

Charms don't have a section in the store so nowhere to add them after 6 months.

Don't know about that. I think devs will eventually add some section for charms into the store but that's just my gut feeling.

  • Nothing is exclusive only delayed by 6 months.

  • Good question, @Peanits Can you provide us info if MM still has his complete immunity to detection perks like spine chill etc ?

  • @BunnyTheHutt said:

I agree, but I hate the fact it's a 10$ battle pass, in a 20-30$ game, with over 100$ of DLC, which doesn't even include skins. The greed is real.

Devs never imagined that DBD would be so successful so they kept releasing content and producing it costs money hence why if you want everything it's a ton of money. Tbh you totaly don't need every DLC to have fun. Most killers are just for variety and survivors are purely skins. You can also grind all DLCs besides 6 out of 17. So if you don't play DBD a lot why even want to get all DLCs.

  • Originally I didn't plan to buy it but now that I saw it I changed my mind. It's really well done and the cosmetics and all else are really well done while it costing 1000 AU that you can get back. That's pretty good deal imo.

  • @Peanits Please educate OP and tell him that detection perks (like spine chill) work against undetectable or correct us in telling him otherwise. Thank you in advance.

  • I doubt there is any real skill to be had. You get better as a player passively the more you play and more you realize  your mistakes and try to learn from them. Nurse/spirit or any other killer that isn't pure M1 is skill based. Some more then others, some are about predictions and some are utterly powerless when facing good survivors where no amount of skill can save you.

But if I were to say then skill is probably the speed you improve since any skill ceiling on gameplay as survivor or killer isn't all that high.

How about ebony moris only work after the 3rd or 4th hook? So if you made 4 hooks, you can start to mori the next downed person. This gives the survivors a little time to play and wouldn't be too much of a nerf, since you try to hook everyone at least once anyway to mori them.

I think that's a good idea too. Most of the frustraion towards mories comes imao from people who get hook camped with the mori so they are pretty much powerless to do anything. Maybe even 4-6 hooks would be fine since you need to hook 12 times so it would still cut the sacrafice process significantly.

  • It's subjected to possibly change after the PTB and it doesn't sound too bad so I don't really mind. Well we'll see soon enough how it is.

  • I disagree, punishments for quitting the game need to be harsher and any way to bypass them should be fixed so it can't be bypassed. DBD isn't supposed to be fair and both sides use annoying stuff that ruins other side's "fun". We can tone thse "unfun" things down but to quitters they'll be always OP until they are straight removed. They will be never satisfied until everything that can create diversity is removed and we are left with plain, boring, same matches every time.

People need to learn that quitting is what makes these unfun tactics, addons, offering actually unfun since when 1 person quits it's far worse then the said offerings etc altogether. If people just tried to actually face them they might discover that they can still win even if odds are against them.

Although said punishments should come with enough warnings then time outs or something and only after repeated offences of quitting something like bans. Or we can make a system where quites play only with other quitters or at least have far far higher chance to be matched together.

  • DBD is based around diversity. Random maps, random killers, random perks and that same applies to addons and offerings. As much as DBD tries it's not really competetive game which means that both sides can use incredibly strong stuff without the other side having a say in the matter. In mories case the diversity is danger. If you get mori in your game you literally can't play the same like in game without it. You have to be far more strategic and stealthy.

You can dislike it but they makes game far more interesting/tense. Don't take losses so personally and just do your best. Keys are equally strong as mories are if not more, people just don't talk as much about them. Mories were already significantly nerfed and good survivors still have the upper hand in matter of game balance overall. Imao mories shouldn't be changed until further changes to killers, maps and survivor objective are made.

  • I get 4 man kills with that build on high ranks pretty often. It's really fun to play so I do it quite often hence why I think that achievement isn't that hard to get.

  • My most powerfull build would be Pop goes the weasel, surveillance, Thrilling tremors, Thanatophobia. It gives you incredible map control if you play your teleport right and fake it out at right times.

Believe me, I know how painful it is go against a good 4 man swf group. I am rank 5 at killer and recently tried playing trapper and it did not go well at all.

It is very very annoying that I rarely get good teammates when I play solo though. Sometimes I genuinely wonder how my teammates get past like rank 10-15

It's a pity that people remember the bad experiences far more then the good ones. Even if poeple win with mid tier killers like 2-3 games and then you get stomped by good SWF they'll probably forget about the wins and only rage about that 1 loss. That's imo the biggest reason why players are too afraid to play anything besids meta killers. They don't want to experience getting stomped/bullied so they refuse to play anything else hence why we have so many nurses/spirits (not that I mind since I love facing these 2 killers as survivor).

Same with survivor. Whenever I get early suicider or dcer it's really overwriting any good experiences I had in previous games. Can't do much about it though.

I wish I had some of these optimal survivors that everyone is talking about in my team. I usually get teammates that play like rank 20s.

I'd say freddy and billy are also very viable in red ranks, maybe even hag too.

Demo isn't that weak compared to bubba or legion.

You can't get them since those optimal survivors play only as 4 man SWF so no good teammates for you if you play solo. If you want to see why people play mainly meta killer play purely Wraith, Legion or some other weak killer for a season or two as rank 1.

It's not like you can't win against them but it's definitely not fun to play against them when they play optimaly.

  • Ace since the day he was released. Love his design so much, so dapper.

  • I use bloodtracking sometimes. Remember, blood always leads exactly to the survivor so it can't be very easy to track otherwise survivor would be screwed if they wanted to juke the killer.

I'm still waiting for that anti blood perk for survivors so that I can ascend to full untrackable ninja mode.

  • I almost never play them while beiing at top of red ranks constatnly so I probably wouldn't mind as much as killer.

While as survivor I would completely stop playing since without mainly nurse and spirit playing survivor side would be too bland for me.

  • I could agree that some addons make him decent but pity that addon reliant killers are not good representation of balanced killer. And even with his best addons it's extremely hard to defeat good SWF which is a pity since Bubba deserves better. I hope he'll get power boost soon to better represent such iconic killer.

Legion : after he ends Frenzy, he dies.

    He had a good run.

  • Some people envy legacy so much that they hack the game to get it.

  • I find Leatherface's P3 really nice.

  • Only solution is casual mode. Nothing else can force someone's mind into NOT tryharding.

  • No, just fix/change protection hits and it's gonna be fine off meta perk for fun builds.

  • Let's buff all other killer to Billy's level so that they can be played at high ranks. Then you'll get more variety.

  • Freddy is perfectly balanced right now. You sound like you want to make him loopable for whole 5 gens if you think his snares are OP. You're not supposed to be able to hold killer in 1 chase for the whole game you know.

  • Good trade off for BT not working I think. You can still do a little bit of mindgaming but tbh Freddy doesn't even need to since he can force hits or pallet drops with his snares if used correctly.

  • Maybe we'll get option to switch powers one day like when that glitch that allowed it happened. Even thou I prefer new Freddy since he's far more fun to play against and to play as while beiing also stronger. You never know what devs might do.

  • Game defines survivor winning as gaining a pip so probably not. Once emblem system works in a way that you can only pip if you survive then surviving can be expected to happen more often but right now you should expect to die in 60%+ of your games.

People keep complaining how survival rate is too low but their ranking system takes survival just as 1/4th of the win scoring. You don't need to survive to "win" so survival rate should be pretty low.

  • When I saw this = This tier list is wrong on so many levels even if it's just an opinion.

Then I saw it's based on console gameplay and it started to make sence.

  • Leatherface may not be as bad as people claim but that still doesn't change the fact that his power sucks. It has so many downsides and needs serious buffs/rework. Even if you would win almost all of your games it would only prove that you are skilled killer and not that LF's power is usefull.

I really hope that some LF changes are coming soon. My poor Bubba deserves to be a true menace and not to be laughted at like he's now.

  • New cosmetics for the true Halloween killer Michael Myers.

  • Personally not even remotely as killer and a little bit as survivor since you're kinda dependant on your teammates.

  • I'd advice you to use this build Ruin, PWYF, Whispers, corrupt intervention. I'm 4king with it fairly often even at red ranks.

  • I would just like devs to rework maps with large open spaces with nothing in them. No structures, no debris, no kind of LOS blockers to juke with, no nothing. Just add random broken walls all over the place or something, jeez. Better then having plain open spaces with no chance of losing the killer.

  • It wouldn't be as bad if protection hits actually worked properly. Currently they are extremely bugged which makes MoM into unusable perk. Just fix protection hits and leave MoM how it is.

  • You don't need it but as a solo player it's often a pain to play without it since your teammates either DC or are potatoes and beiing one hit down the whole match certainly doesn't help.

  • I think Distressing + Nurses is a good combo since her phasing can't be heard in her TR. It gives your free downs if someone dares to heal in your TR.

  • I miss her endgame builds. They were ruined with the nerfs.

  • @Peanits said:

At least five. If people are around and still want to play, that can obviously change.

I don't see myself going away anytime soon.

  • @Tru3Lemon said:

That will not happend a perk that you dont leave any bloodstain imagen this perk combine with iron will urban evasion lightweight a ninja build the only solution for you its to wait for no mither to get the perfect buff it needs

Well based on that people already get found and hit quite easily since while you're healthy you don't bleed or moan, I think it should happen. It would be nowhere near meta but really good in fun juking builds.

  • At least 10 minutes. That time is minimum for M1 killers to break decent amount of pallets against good survivors.

1 … 49 50 51 52 53 … 63
