Or we could rework hook stages so that people have to wait there those 2 min to at least give a chance to their teammates to unhook them and earn some alturism BP/emblems. If they don't want to play that's fine, let them stay AFK which is bannable after repeated offences.
-
I've been getting those lately too. Some survivors just can't take getting outplayed early so they quit like losers they are.

I agree it had Windows and pallets the map itself its just a maze.
I hope they Will add more stairs to the upper level so you dont have to run around and searching for Them. And no i dont count the stairs that are hidden behind a breakable wall....
And the ph isnt OP he is underpowered or balanced
All new maps are mazes until players get used to them especially new indoors maps with new tiles. In a week or two people will know how to run it much better and possibly even some great loops will be discovered.
I think that desiging some of the key travel spots to be on killer to decide if they become useable is amazing design. It's probably my favourite thing about this chapter. Making breakable walls true decisions that can have heavy impact on traversing the map and thus map preassure is far far better then just walls besides god loops that have to be broken to make catching survivors in them realistic. Imao this new map's design is 10/10 for me, so much attetion to detail and even from balacing perspective it's pretty alright.
@ThisGuuy83 I as a Deathslinger main can assure you that this map is pretty favorable for Deathslinger. Long corridors allow for nice long shots without much room for dodging or LOS cover and many loops are open so you can shoot over them. In no way it's bad for DS, I would dare to say it's one of his better maps.
-
I don't get the hate for the new map, I think it's amazing. Pallets are decently mindgameable with a few exceptions but there are also 2 if not more god pallets so that balances that out. Maybe just run Window of opportunity if you are unable to find pallets/windows until you memorise them.
-
I like how's it's written without paragraphs, a true rant indeed.
-
It's most likely due to licensing. Take it like this, it's either having sets or not having any of those cosmetics.
-
They probably don't want to make addon dependant killers so they just don't make really strong addons.

Well, I'm not complaining for personal advantage, I'm complaining for the game health. You are right, this is pointless.
Leave game's health in hands of devs. They know far better then anyone on these forums.
-
Both sides have perks that prevent objective progress of the other one.

I have bad news for you: I've been playing perkless since last week. If you don't believe, have a look at my discussion "I give up". It's funny how your assumptions couldn't be more wrong.
I repeat: I'm talking about ONE killer breaking SEVERAL perks from both KILLERS and survivors. Did you finally understand my point?
Then it's even more pointless for you to complain. New killer = new mechanics. There were very very few introductions of new features in DBD during it's development that didn't involve new killer. New killer is how DBD creates new features so PH pretty much disableing most of the meta perks is in line with all previous development decisions.
-
@aregularplayer Unlike some other people I run many different builds and don't rely on few perks in every match I play. Also you've named most used meta perks so you do actually talk & complain about meta perks beiing not-meta against him.
Maybe start using more perks and don't rely on a few so much ? Having a killer that shakes things up is exactly what DBD needed.
-
Wow a killer that shakes up the meta. Gotta nerf that, we've been keeping it stale since 2017 and we're not going to stop now.
-
I was at 1 milion and then upon login recived a gift of 50k BP. I didn't try to go any higher since I spent it on PH.
Maybe it's just a bug sinceI would expect the bonus BP to just to register like when you finish a challenge while at 1 million already.
-
That's a code name for SH chapter. No leaks here.
-
BBQ, there are far superior tracking perks. It's good for farming and on very high mobility killers otherwise not great.
-
Hex: Imprisonment
Survivor that cleanses this hex is imprisoned by the entity claws (immune to all effects - killer attacks, powers, interaction with other survivors, everything basically) in that spot for 30/60/90s unable to do any actions.
If the hex isn't cleansed before the last gen is powered the same effect appliest to the killer.
-
I think Kate would probably be the last, no real reason, just a gut feeling.
-
You know what made me play single killer almost exclusively when I was playing almost all of them before ? Fun
I've started maining Deathslinger since no other killer from 2016 until now was as much fun for me as he is. Yeah I've loved designs and playstyles of many other killers before but when DS came out I became obsessed with playing.
So you should play a killer that you enjoy the most, it doesn't matter if he's good or bad, hard to learn or easy to learn etc, what matters is that you enjoy playing him.
Once I get enough of DS matches (which will take a while) I'll start playing other killers again more but right now I can't get enough of him.
-
I agree that NOED isn't healthy for the game and it's effect can be very frustrating if used paired with certain strategies. I would suggest to rework it into a perk that causes entity to block the exit gates with a few more additional effects if it remains a hex.
That beiing said Decisive strike has right now exactly the same design, promoting player to do stupid ######### that would normally get them killed and people still defend it and call that it's fine and balanced sooo 🤷
-
If I feel like I face a cheater I start recording the match, in the endgame chat I call them out on the cheating and if they admit it the better for my footage and ofc ingame report them as well. Then either right after that game or some time later I go make additional report through DBD's official website describing the way they were cheating and adding the footage so they can have easier time banning them if they were really cheating.
-
Do whatever you want, if you're having fun then it's fine as long as you play by the official rules. Just be sure to often change your names or killers you've played before might just go full facecamping LF on you whenever they meet you again.

It's like a Premonition and Spine Chill effect?
That's pretty....awesome and messed up.
Pretty much with added benefit of revealing everything non-stealth killer does, be it breaking gens/pallets, placing traps, chasing someone or anything you want to know and possibly tell to your SWF friends if you have them.
Killer knowing where you are imao isn't really as bad as some may say it is (especially if you're good or even very good looper, then it's also a trap for killers who decide to go for you) since killers mostly knows where survivors are - ON GENS - knowing where survivor is doesn't alway equate into having an opportunity to capitalise on that knowledge.
OoO is pretty broken and main reason why more people don't use it is since killers really and I mean REALLY dislike OoO users to the point of throwing the game just to tunnel & facecamp them to death and also since generally most survivors suck at looping so they actually don't want all that attention object might give them.

I'd like to know as well.
It does, whenever I face stealth killers with OoO you can use it to pinpoint their location by slowly adjusting the edges of your screen. It's pretty usefull for knowing from which direction they're coming even if you can't tell how far they are.
-
DS should still get some further updates, only because it was changed already doesn't mean it's perfect, far from it. Some changes to make it more of an anti-tunneling perk (because as many, even devs stated it wasn't designed as such) should happen since this is the main reason why most of the people run it, to lessen the issue of tunneling. Problem lies when players use it for protection from getting punished for overly bold/dumb plays to reset killer's momentum since they know that killer can't punish them for those unless they waste tons of time on waiting DS out.
OoO need completely new effect sicne it's past mending with how damaging it can be in some scenarios.
-
I'm more comfortable playing killer, knowing I'm depending mainly on myself. That doesn't mean that it's more relaxing tho, on the opposite, I have to play the top of my game if I want to win vs good survivors.
When playing survivor I can relax far more since I have 3 other people doing their stuff and even if they all die I can still escape via hatch if I'm a little lucky and even then I can get good RNG on doors. I don't have to be everywhere mannaging 4 other players, it's good enough if I just outlive them if they're bad.

Holy cow!!! I would have accidentally claimed by now. I wonder if you’ve ever had two 45k at the same time? Quite possibly the combo of 60, 45 and 35 is the best you can do for 140k
I don't think so, from all my holding onto them I've never seen 2 types of the same daily but sometimes some rare ones with different BP values appear that I probably just don't remember (like the savior ritual) so I was wondering if someone ever seen some other better combos that I might not have encountered.
140k seems like the top tho or I've at least never seen higher combination.

That’s possible although even after I turn one in I may not see another mori ritual for literally months, and I always trash the first I get each day so I have two chances.
I've been holding 1 finished mori daily for last 4 chapters and I've never seen another mori daily during all that. They can't be that rare since I refresh them each day as well.

Except there aren't smaller hitboxes.
There hasn't been a smaller hitbox in months, so your post is completely invalid.
I've been getting hit from 3-6 feet away from my actual body, how is that fair? How is that skill?
Same goes for the other side when grabs, hatchet hits with blood splatter, aim dressing etc doesn't register survivors getting hit etc, none of those are fair either. Both sides have their problems with servers and hopefully upcoming updates to servers will help with all of these.
-
@johnmwarner said:
Three moris is the max 180k but they are pretty rare. Right now I have a 60, a 45 and a 35k I’m just keeping those til release. I could turn in the 35 and hope to get a mori daily in the next couple days but meh
I don't think mori dailies can stack. I've been trying to get more then 1 mori daily for ages and they never appear as long as you hold 1 finished mori daily.
-
Based on your wording the tunneled/camped survivors should be the ones who have the most fun since they get to keep killer all to themselfs and engage in fun interaction of getting chased. Maybe it's not "fun/fair" getting tunneled/camped because survivors just suck at chasing and rely on killer letting them go insted of getting away from him themselfs.
-
I do agree that they are still a bit overtuned. Not a large nerf but a small one would imo put them in ideal spot.
My idea was that they activate (talking about ebony) on all survivors after killer manages to get 4th hook. That way they can't be used to instantly tunnel the person who was hooked and promote & reward plaing well, downing survivors fast while giving survivors more time then the current ebony does.
-
Surge, just because it's effect isn't as obvious as Pop people call it a bad perk. I'm using it consistently in red ranks and it's amazing.
-
@Dabihwow said:
Wow how much did that cost even
I can't say 100% for sure since outfits don't show their pricing after you buy them but probably something around 150 000 iridiscent shards I guess if I did my math correctly + some Auric cells for non IS outfits. You can tell far easier them me if you just check out the shop and look at all the Ace outfits.
-
@Dolls said:
That's fun! Do you like to mix up the outfits or keep a certain one? I have all outfits for a couple of characters...but I hardly use most of them. 😋
I do quite a few mix ups. My favourite outfit combination out of all is 100% this one.
I especially change outfits when I use different builds. For example when I use chas orianted builds I use bright colored outfits and when I use stealth builds I use the darker ones.
-
Giving him very fast stalking during EW1 would be really nice buff/change, so that you aren't stuck as a slow slug while gens pop.
-
Well said, it certainly is among the strongest perks survivors have.
-
I was so suprised to randomly see DBD dev stream. It was great and I'm looking forward to the next one.
-
You do you, ranks don't matter anyway.
-
I won't give them any special treatement but I do dislike them since she actually is much much harder to see then any other survivor in the game making her the best "skin" to use if you want to win.
-
As Deathslinger main I think he's well balanced and doesn' really need changes but yes his terror radius even when at 24m which is normal for all other 110 killers can be misleading due to it beiing rather silent for a ranged killer. Although if his TR was raised to 32m it would need to be compensated by increasing his base numbers (relod time, missed shot CDR, etc) slightly and reducing the effects of addons with the same benefit to prevent unhealthy stacking.
Such change would be fine imao as long as it's not solo nerf but a change with advantages and disadvantages.
-
There is no clear answer since your loadout hugely depends on your playstyle. Even some perks that are generally considered as good fit don't have to be as usefull if you don't play in a way that fully capitalises on their strengths.
I main deathslinger and many different builds are very good if you play into them properly. But if I should give my favourite build that I'm having most success with then it would be Surge, Pop goes the weasel, Surveillance and whispers. This builds focues on gen control and requires you to know when to drop chases and how to properly track using whispers etc. If such playstyle interests you then this can be very good builds to use.
-
If that were true then survivors would chill around not doing gens waiting for their turn to get chased. Survivors want to win, same as killers do. That's why both sides use any means necessary to achieve that. Be that gen rushing, slugging/camping, using perks annoying to the other side and far more stuff that may be perceived as not interactive to the other side.
Yes survivors like getting chased probably the most (as long as they are winning the chase) but overall they don't care if they had good chases unless they also win. Same goes for killers, they may have hooked survivors 8 times and had many good chases but if gates get powered and all 4 escape the killer will be extremely annoyed and won't give a damm if he was doing well in chases because in the end he lost hard.
Winning is what it's all about in the end for almost everyone. Yeah we don't always make big deal out of loses but we surely enjoy winning more then participating in the other side's win.

I saw that! Thanks for the link!
But i do hope you consider the guide, baby deathslingers and people that wanna improve their slingy boi gameplay in general will really appreciate it! If you covered perks, builds, addons, strategies, how to create alot of pressure with his power, when and when not to shoot, maybe even how to play him at certain tiles compared to other killers. I like seeing guides made by actual experts of said killers opposed to youtubers that just have a good game with all killers in general.
Well I like the idea so if I do one it'll definitely take a while to make it. I'll need to gather enough footage to cover all the spots appropriately that I don't think many people know about (or just don't go for them as often as they should) & lots of other stuff I'll want to discuss in it.
If it ever gets finished I'll surely post a steam link here in guides and probably even in general discussions (and od my best to remember to tag you) sharing whatever I've learned during my experiences playing Deathslinger.

Oh thats interesting you should think about writing a comprehensive guide for deathslinger on steamcommunities. As you are very experienced with him! Id love to see it
Hmm, that's not a bad idea (even when it would make survivors more aware to all my trick shots), I might do so in the future but I wouldn't bet on it. Btw I've already made a post concerning counterplay to Deathslinger so if you want a piece of my mind on playing vs him then that's here.

Old Freddy was a strong killer. It was an almost universal lack of understanding how he should be used that lead to him being perceived as weak.
Was he as strong as current Freddy thou ? Also I don't think that he got his rework because devs thought he was weak but because he was extremely annoying to play against while breaking the game on a few aspects.
Playing against him mostly consisted of brainless looping since he completely denied all other playstyles with his perma wallhacks & invisibility and his stall was either great or bad based on luck pretty much. His main learning curve was learning his sleep transition mindgame and everything else was just average killer gameplay knowledge with some alterations due to his power.
Ofc I wasn't maining him so just my opinion but from pretty much all games against him or gameplay's that I saw of him, there wasn't as much depth to him as some people said. At least I never found anyone playing him in some extremely different way.
-
I don't mind getting looped but I do mind when someone takes my game hostage.
