Not really fear, more like annoyed that I can't punish a survivor that just did an unhook 10m from me and I'm faced with 2 survivors both having DS and I need to leave both in hopes of finding a 3rd or 4th one letting those 2 fully heal each other losing all preassure from that hook that I should defend which would normally be the correct play if not for DS.
That happens quite often, survivors use DS not to escape from a killer but to do actions that directly damage killer's momentum (be it unhooks, doing gens etc) knowing they can't be punished without killer wasting time - either eats a stun = wasted time or sluggs and goes find someone else = still wasted time since you're losing out on sacrafice progression (that you would would otherwise get) in hopes you'll get it from someone else fast enough to not lose all preassure from chases done with survivors with active DSs if you decided to slug them and not give them free unhooks and heals/gen time.
Also lockers beiing everywhere really doesn't help, slugging would be a nice counter if not for locker tech.

Yeah that happens only on that map. It’s pretty easy to 3 gen on that map. Hope you got a 4K 😂
Ofc, with such dumb spawns I'd have to be pretty bad not to kill minimum 3 survivors. This map is such a mess sometimes.
-
Come on, that's like nerfing NOED and calling it a day, in a way that now it prolongs attack CD by 5%.
Buff anti-tunneling aspects of DS and nerf the dumb/bold plays aspects of it and it'll be great healthy perk.

Deathslinger, no other killer is as much fun as he is for me.

I don't commit to bad chases, When I see a good looper, I'll stop going for them. No matter how you play, Gens are gonna go very fast. DS does need some buffs.Currently his performing average with Play with your food and STBFL. He definitely needs some buffs to his Basekit and take out some of the unnecessary slowdown he has, then he'll be better.
I don't think he needs any changes, he's a real beast if you play him well. Even good SWF teams struggle vs experienced Deathslinger as long as he lands his shots and makes good decisions overall.
Like I wouldn't complain if they buffed my main but he's already very strong killer so buffing him could just result in him getting "slight basekit update" eventually, like billy/nurse did and we know how those end up.

You're 100% right, I agree. Too much effing slowdown for 110 speed killer and has 0 map pressure and no guaranteed hit. I'm also slinger main on console. You can't stop gens getting finished, Even though you end chases quickly. I don't know what the devs were thinking when they were creating his power.
Maybe you're commiting to bad chases and don't defend crucial areas enough. Remember DS is 110% killer so you need to play differently then other faster killer. You can't run around map defending all gens, it's far better to defend specific area and leaveing it mainly when you have enough pressure through perks or deep wounds etc.
I know console is a whole different beast for DS but I'm doing just fine on PC as him even vs good rank 1 survivors.
-
There's nothing to fix there. Deathslinger isn't killer based on only aim but also prediction and timing that goes with it, you can't aim directly at survivors that don't walk in direct line forward away from you and expect a hit just because your ADS was on them the moment you fired. You need to adjust your shots to the direction you're walking and direction survivors are going to walk.
First hit he missed was a bugged collision at window and others were just misses on his part. The capsules of survivors don't match their models perfectly so you need to aim on their center, not hands, legs or even a leaning head when they run.
I main deathslinger and I never get robbed of shots unless I obviously miss. His hitboxes are perfectly fine, they don't need to mess with them when they work just like they are supposed to.
-
If he stays exactly the same way he's on PTB right now then.
No
-
Yes he would be very overpowered if he was 4.6. You're probably doing something wrong if you're getting looped for a while as Deathslinger. Ofc there are some tiles that are either extremely hard to land proper shot but most tiles actually can be outplayed by deathslinger as long as you know how to use Redeemer correctly.
I main deathslinger and unless I'm screwing up my shots I manage to do rarther well even vs good players. If you're curious on my gameplay so that you can see how I play around loops you can check out my channel where I post a few matches every once in a while. It might give you an idea on what you could be doing wrong if you're getting into long chases.

Add-ons: Yes, but I'm not happy with how they currently are.

If by bias you mean people were enjoying playing billy and now insted of power he has a cooldown making him far less fun to use.
LF would be praised by everyone if they didn't mess with killer that comunity generally considered fine without addons just like old nurse was. People don't want history to repeat itself so they're beiing loud to make devs realise they overdid these changes.
-
If that's a really new feature then prestiging needs a rework to make it viable to prestige even after you've maxed their perks.
@Peanits If this is a thing shall players who didn't prestige their characters for any reason now be punished and lose all perks and hundreds of addons and offering if they want to prestige ?
-
He isn't really much worse but enjoyment from playing him dropped significantly. Just like with Nurse, they didn't over nerf him, just made him far less fun to the point that many won't continue on playing him.
I hope they'll tone CDs down after PTB ends otherwise his play rate will be the same as nurse.
-
Surge doesn't really need help, I use it regularly in red ranks and it's already amazing. There are other perks that need attention far more.
-
Because he's got the best attack CD animation.

Don't give me BS like "so by that logic."
Don't twist my words.
I said what I said, and that's that.
Just saying that for someone who seems to support healthy game length for survivors you're quite able to dismiss issues of the other side rather easily.
I just wanted to know if your views on healthy game length apply to both sides or just one. It seems to be the latter.

Yeah, and then he gets a 4k after survivors do everything in their power, every perk used every method in action and they still lost.
Point being? If you complain about getting gen rushed and still manage to get a 4k, just don't open your mouth.
So by tht logic if you're getting hard tunneled but you survive for whatever reason (killer is bad, you have a key, teammates die for you) then it's ok to do nothing about tunneling ?
I just wonder if you see the issues with such mindset considering there are many issues with DBD that can be ignored if you use these arguments like "he 4k anyway" "he survived anyway".

whether he can get shots or not depends on how good the huntress is, I'm talking from a rank 1 killer prospective, the point is a god huntress will definitely be far better than a god deathslinger.
Well I play DS on rank 1 since he released and as long as I play well I can beat almost any team I face. I personally consider deathslinger to be equal to huntress, both have strong abilties that excel at different situations, one is more about snowball other about consistency.
You can have an opinion that huntress is superior to deathslinger which is fine but there is no definitive proof to that. Like with all killer tier lists / opinions on viability, it's opinions based on experiences, etc. Everyone sees these things differently.
-
Deathslinger is fine, comparing huntress to him while only talking about snowball is quite dumb since Deathslinger's advantage over her is that he can get shots far more often then huntress can, in places where her wind up just doesn't give her enough time to land a hit.
By that comparison current Leatherface is better then billy because he can down all 4 survivors faster then billy can. Just shows that Tru3 doesn't always look at the whole picture and just focuses on points that support his claims. Not saying that he's isn't right in the snowball scenario but he doesn't take into account other advantages that deathslinger has over huntress.
-
FD got buffed, that doesn't suddently make keys any weaker for overall gameplay. If mories get any changes keys still need changes done to them as well. You can't expect passive changes to moris while killers have to sacrafice a perk to make keys somewhat more unlikely to get used.

So checked the video and all of these curves were made within the time limit i gave, unless i missed one the longest was like 7 seconds. It will limit these if you held the chainsaw right before you started the chase wich is pretty unlikely but still possible. If you have a small cooldown that limits these kind of mindgames just wait a little bit or just hit them with m1.
Depends on how fast does overheat cooldowns while you're not revving. If you ever rev even for more like 2-3 and it stays there until you hit the CD you'll get overheat just when you need time for curving. If it goes down fast while not revving then it would be fine but if it stays it will significantly lower the possibilities for revving adn curving mindgames.
-
There was this video of really good billies curving insane angles. They pretty much rev for a while before they get the correct positing and timing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxbLxLZJS5E&t=538sIt would suck if such skilled players who dedicated so much time to curv properly would be punished by overheat.

Out of curiosity were you an Oni and unable to hook a Feng? I just got out of game with someone who wasn't able to hook me as they couldn't find there way into a room due to lack of doors.
That was probably me since just played an Oni game but I don't remember if it was Feng.
Still these problems with hook spawns happened to me multiple times since Midwitch was released and I'm getting really tired of it.
-
Be sure to make many feedback threads, nobody wants to see skillful gameplay get ruined.
They should make it that chainsaw only overheats nearby hooks so that camping revving is nerfed and curving isn't.
-
As solo player, your item is dead, you're not getting it back once you get hit. I really don't see how solo player can manage to lose good or even just decent killer without getting hooked/downed and get back to their item to pick it up in only 90s.
if you're in SWF yeah, your friends will pick it up for you but as solo, I really don't see survivors getting those items back unless killer lets them.
-
Ehh that change is basically only a problem if you use chainsaw to hard camp having it almost revved up infront of hooked survivor. Same changes (to camping ofc) for LF, devs are nerfing camping potencial of these two instadown killers but in a fair way.
I think it's a nice change and not complete gutting like with nurse when she was getting her "small changes".
-
@Peanits Any reason to why are these cosmetics linked ?

Don't talk like you're new here. It's never gonna stop just like camping / gen rushing etc threads.
-
I'm betting right now that multidown is gonna get removed. Your chainsaw is gonna stop after you get 1 hit with it.
-
Huh, I wonder how rare he'll be to face now.
-
I don't think DS should be only nerfed, it should be nerfed and buffed.
It should get something along the lines of higher timer based on beiing chased/slugged but deactivate upon any interaction besides healing self or getting healed by others. Also that idea with shard of glass as notification is really nice.
-
I can't wait for my Deja vu to finish first few gens by itself for me and Monstorous shrine to make hooks attacks survivors that come near them.
-
Nurse, I don't play her much but when she was coming out it was the first chapter for DBD and it was free. I felt amazing to see DBD getting new content for the first time and no other chapter was as exciting as the first one.

If your "beiing real" is that OoO doesn't need a complete rework then you aren't real enough.

Well the argument atm is that he is just underrated its not like its trying to say he is the new best killer or anything, I say getting consistent wins with Bubba could prove the point that maybe people assume bubba is worse then he actually is.. which I have to agree bubba does have some decent strengths. I think Bubba does get alot of sh*t for being bad when in reality he isn’t bad at all...the only issue I have with Bubba is..he is very boring to play as imo and still needs a rework not to make him more viable but to make him more fun.
You see, Bubba's power is not great due to how much help it needs to be useful consistently. He's running build that gives him a lot of extra movement speed and his best addons to make it good then proceeds to call him underrated. Clown is also underrated if you use some of his best builds = for exmaple like on bubba MM speed build + instadown addon and suddently he's killing everyone and looks underrated.
I't not saying that he's got useless power (it can be good if used properly) or that he's the worst killer since no killer is really bad to the point of beiing unplayable even in high ranks. All killers that aren't in higher tiers are very dependant on how good the player is with them so everyone has diffrent worst killers for them based on which ones they play best.
All people want is for Bubba to get a rework/buffs and I think that people calling him underrated can make it seem like he's fine and doesn't need changes which then upsets quite a few players. Tru3 makes some good points on him but overall it doesn't change the fact that Bubba needs changes no matter how he preforms or how possibly underrated he might be.
-
That sounds serious, I hope someone from dev team is doing something about it asap.
-
@Peanits Does it ? I can't find any info on it anywhere so I wonder too.

That is kinda the point of playing him all day tho.. realistically you are not going to go against the best of the best survivors every single game matchmaking won’t allow that lol, so the best way to get data is to play a large amount of games and see the average. His claims do make sense and he does go against good survivors. He doesn’t just go against potatoes every game.
That begs the question how much data is enough. One day is hardly enough to tell if your games were good due to RNG giving you bad survivors or bad due to getting good ones.
I'm not saying that he faces bad survivors all the time but I'm definetly saying that calling killer underrated based on just a few games with players of random skill levels yet them always facing Tru3 of pretty high skill level is unreliable way to prove a point of underatement.
For example if I play Deathslinger for a day or two and get 4k in 90% of my games does that magically mean that he's top tier ? No, ofc not, too much random elements influencing the outcome cause that none of those games can reliably give any real proof of his viability. Only thing they provide is a shift in my (as the one playing him) opinion on him due to my good results but they aren't proof since someone else with about the same skill as me could have done the same and got better survivors, worse RNG on maps, etc and have for example only 40% kill rate.
If he wants to many even slight attempt to prove viability he should go into KYF with players that are considered as good survivors that are on Tru3's level of skill and make large sample of games with them. That's the only way to prove anything, only other way is devs releasing stats on the killers viability over large amount of time and we know that won't happen.
He can have an opinion but if he wants others to listen and discuss that topic with him then he has to hear their arguments as well, not just dismiss them because he's doing well which is proof enough for him.
-
Funnily enough your most hated chapter is my absolute most favourite chapter of all made, Chains of hate it amazing imao.
As for the worst chapter definetly Darkness Among Us. Legion back then was the most horribly designed killer ever made and after they "fixed" him he just became M1 killer who annoys survivors with mending if they let him. Ormond even when cool looking art wise is one of the worst maps balance wise. Only positive was Jeff beiing really cool survivor otherwise everything kinda sucked.
-
I'm doing just fine without them. It's fun to use them once in a while but they aren't mandatory.

I already do all this stuff
Then you shouldn't be having a hard time as long as you do it properly.
-
When you face DS you need to position yourself in a way so that you can't be easily shot and reeled in. He needs clear LOS without too much rubble around to land a long shot (15m+) so unless you're in the open and don't look around, he can't shoot you while on gen.
It's very important to not get hit by his M1 while he has a shot ready since then he can combo you for quick down. You should be doing your best to loop normally (with added mindgames for DS ofc) but the moment you're injured you need to pre-drop pallets and avoid getting close to him. He can easily punish survivors who get close so do your best to avoid that and once you get hit (after a shot ofc) run as far away as you can to waste his time on covering that distance.
If you have problem with his TR you should probably run anti-ambush perks like spine chill since that about only way to make it easier without learning proper positioning and reacting well.
DS is fine, if anything on him gets nerfed without some compensation he could become weak and that's the last thing we want killers to be.

works on everyone but the killer.
id like them to add the killer to that match detail list, honestly.
that way we could check ingame who the killer is (profile name, not character ofc), aswell as being able to access their profile in case of a needed report.
It honestly doesn't make sence to not add killer into match details. To my knowledge you can't acess them until you get into the match so at least I can't see any way to abuse it.

Bias towards? I have no issue pressuring gens, I'm a killer main? What bias do you speak of?
I absolutely hate tunneling with a burning blood boiling rage, I don't do it and I absolutely hate it when it gets done to me.
Pressuring gens is the easy part, I run Corrupt, Pop, BBQ and Stridor. I use the same build on all my killers, Huntress, Nurse, Spirit and now Billy.
You stating that I "reek of bias" already tells me you have nothing good to say, you want to end the discussing by invalidating my argument by stating that I have a "bias."
Bullshit.
I talk about bias that you don't consider ending the match early is a problem for both sides but only for survivors.
From what I've gathered (correct me if I'm wrong) you seem to think that tunneling is a bad strategy (if you even consider it one) that needs to be in some way fixed. It seems to me like you think that a tunneled survivor has no chance to survive the match if even just mediocre killer decides to kill him. Basically for whatever reason you may have, you consider it a problem in game's design and not an intended feature/playstyle.
Yet you seem to claim that pressuring gens is easy and a good killer should alway be able to pressure gens to the point that his match won't end early. You don't seem to think that it's a problem when even a good killer who's doing well is losing gens left and right in the first 3-4 min of the game.
Overall I see you as someone who considers killer's problem of short matches (gen rushing) just a lack in killer's abilities meaning you don't consider it a problem that needs to be fixed while a problem of short matches for survivors (tunneling) is something that they don't have any control over and couldn't have prevented by playing better.
To me that is quite biased approach since I see both as issues that need fixing not just one side. But I may just have the wrong impression of you so by all means if you have different view on these issues then what I've described be sure to share it if you want.

Not even the same....not even relatable.
Literally has nothing to do with a killer tunneling, targetting a survivor and ending his match in the first 2 minutes.
Want help with gens? Use Corrupt, Pop, Thrilling, Surge, you have perks to help with gen rushers but you don't have as many perks in the survivor arsenal to help with a killer who's tunneling a survivor down.
And before you say "bUT HE hAS DS!!!!!"
Yeah....DS, BT and what else?
This honestly reeks with bias. Both tunneling and gen rushing ends the match for the othes side prematurely so they are very relatable.
Yeah there are quite a few perks that are based around protecting gens but only like 2-3 have any real impact just like main antitunneling perks are DS and BT. There are many perks on survivor side that help with losing the chase (poised, quick&quiet, urban evasion, dance with me) thus preventing killer from tunneling you so yes there are other antitunneling perks on survivor side, just not as impactfull as DS & BT just like Thrilling / Dying light / Thana for example aren't as impactfull as Pop or Ruin.
I wonder why do you only consider ending the match for survivors early is bad but ending it for killers it's ok ?
-
The buff was a nice change and it makes me enjoy Clown far more but his overall weaknesses still aren't adressed.
-
Corn is the unique feature that I hate severly but don't want it chaned. It supports stealth and juking killer in chase which is something I want to support and not nerf.
