  • I do not think this is a good idea at all. If you looked at the comments on some of their social media, some users use very choice words when describing their opinion of BHVR using pride emotes on their discord.

Im afraid that some players may target people wearing Pride cosmetics and charms. I believe a post and some emotes for their discord is fine. The LGBT+ community does not need to be harassed in game.

  • I don’t really see a major problem on my PS4, it’s years old now but there isn’t any large frame rate issues during normal gameplay for me. Gaining any effect, more noticeably Bloodlust, does give me a lag spike and while in the Dream World, Killer or Survivor, I do suffer from lower frame rate.

On the other hand, I do have a couple odd games, maybe one in twenty, where the frame rate is below the usual but it might be my connection to the server or internet connection, not sure.

Then they should adjust the wording as its a little confusing, but fair enough what you said makes sense

They should but how? They can’t reference generators AND the hatch closing, that’s far too long.

  • I tunnel in a few situations, mainly when there is a clear “weaker link” to the team and I’m just not able to catch the others.

If I see an OoO player I’ll tunnel them to get rid of them ASAP in case of SWF. Taking away the eyes of the team.

I went and tested it, the description is incorrect, it activates when the last gen pops. Ill put a thing in the bug section. I never used it because it sounded worthless. Now im wondering about well make it

I just commented on your bug report, I hope it explains it, but the description is correct.

  • No, this is correct. “Exit gates are powered” means that the last generator is completed and you are able to open the exit gates. This is very different from “Exit gates are opened”. They have to use this instead of “last generator completed” because of closing the hatch, which also “powers the exit gate”

  • Wow... this thread shows how little Hope is used... one misconception, Hope did not get the No One Left Behind treatment and it activates as soon as the last gen is finished. Personally, I think it’s a little overpowered against 110% killers, I’ve ran a Huntress around a Haddonfield bench for at least a whole minute with the perk, she couldn’t go and get hatchets or I would’ve escaped. (Plus it was Haddonfield, she’d have to go all the way to a house to get her hatchets.)

On the other hand, Hope relies on your teammates and the killer, if those gens don’t get done, you’ve played with 3 perks, you may as well have run adrenaline, healing a health state, free escape from a chase with 150% movement speed for 5 seconds, but instead you get a measly 7% speed boost.

Maybe it could do with a passive throughout the trial prior to the last gen? I’m not sure what it could be but the name “Hope” could signify any effect really. There are better perks to run, and even when you run in, what’s the chance you’re going to run into a 110% killer?

  • Although removing tiers for perks would be a good change, there are some perks which I would prefer to have at Tier 1.

Discordance, for one, is hella annoying at T3.

Make Your Choice too, is something that I use with my Nemesis/Furtive/MYC/PGTW build, I much prefer a shorter cool down because with this build, you get downs pretty fast, there isn’t a need for a whole minute to chase the survivor.

There are a few others, but the post might get a bit long if I list the rest.

Maybe there should be changeable values with different perks based on preference. The MYC time, the discordance notification frequency, etc.

  • Well one of my favourites is when vaulting a house window onto one of those balconies, run to the end of the long side of the balcony, then run back and window tech the killer. Most killers follow the scratch marks and jump down. Map specific, inconsistent method but consistent results.

Not necessarily a trick but there are certain places where you can create massive distance on a killer because of ‘hidden’ vaults. A handful of players don’t know there is a vault on the Mother’s Dwelling main building, on the Gallows in Dead Dawg and next to the exit gate with the containers and the pallet on The Game.

For more stealthy players, on the Harvesters in Cold Wind, there is a gap between a hay bale and what looks to be a small container of sorts. The hale bale’s collision box is square so you can tuck yourself up really close to it and the upper half of your body is completely invisible.

  • The reverse gas sounds awesome!!

Id personally like to see him be able to travel around the map using lockers, similar to Demo, he gets the Undetectable effect. He can get into a locker and you can turn your camera and view the auras of lockers. It would also be super funny to see him step out of a locker that he is larger than, sorta like a clown car.

Id also love to see fake teammates working on generators, making you work slower (and you believe that it’s because there are 2 people working on the gen) because then he would have some decent game slowdown without perks.

i guess that makes sense those two killers are ones i played, the survivors didnt have the best connection to me but i straight up had to quit the frames got so bad playing doc on console

Oh god, I understand your pain there. Doctor kills my PS4 but not my PS4 Pro, but then destroys my computer - which is a pretty good model.

  • I'm not sure if you have played Huntress but this is always a super annoying thing, if they crouch at your feet your arm just refuses to throw the hatchet there. It can hit occasionally but you'd be better off backpedalling or going for the M1.

  • Monstrous Shrine.

Just kidding! For Spirit, Make Your Choice is brutal, Sloppy is standard, Discordance if you're not running BBQ, Nurse's Calling.

Stridor is a good choice too but I find it a little disorientating, has a great use if you're facing lots of Iron Wills.

If you're having trouble with the lunge after phasing, I've seen Unrelenting become quite useful, very unexpected.

I have also experimented with I'm All Ears and it's been incredibly useful when I have speed addons equipped.

The old Enduring + Spirit Fury might work but I just usually avoid pallets all together.

Bloodhound with Father's Glasses if you have trouble following scratches.

Some people may not agree with me on I'm All Ears but it is what works best for your playstyle. If you ignore pallets, it's useful, if you swing through pallets, maybe enduring or unrelenting is for you. Some people even swear by Shadowborn but I'm not too experienced on that.

  • The sad thing is, I probably could. I like the names, they don't sound cringey or hyperbolic. All perks have a place, even you Monstrous Shrine, its just the challenge is actually using them efficiently. Most people would probably remove perks that I personally like playing with - Gearhead is pretty fun, I like the potential of Prove Thyself and Better Together (I really like the icon, as seen by my Profile) and recently, I've noticed the hidden gem of Buckle Up on indoor maps with For The People.

  • As a survivor main I only consider it boring if the killer goes out of their way to make gen speeds unbearable. Forever Freddy is pretty boring, normal Freddy wouldn't be so bad if they didn't spam snares. Forever Legion (Double mend, Dying Light, Thanat, Sloppy, etc.) But aside from those, I'm down to play against any killer as long as they are willing to chase me.

  • Only if I'm playing as or against a Doctor or Freddy, besides that, not really.

  • There are 3 types of Spine Chill players I find.

    1. Immersed players - use Spine Chill to avoid chases. The range actually cucks them a tad here as you can activate Spine Chill from that far away, they go to hide, they waste their time if you're not coming to them. Besides, what immersed player does gens these days?
    2. Those who use it for vault speed. If they're using it to gain a competitive advantage, its likely that they wont be using it for stealth and you can go up and hit them as a stealth killer, because they likely want their Resilience.
    3. Players who use it so they can listen to music. They can't hear your TR so you have the overall advantage in that category anyway.

I get your point but Spine Chill is no where near as strong as other perks. I hardly see it used as intended and I don't really see anyone running it for vault speed unless they're a streamer/youtuber. Spine Chill is completely useless in the middle of a map, almost completely useless on a map with lots of different floors, almost completely useless on a small map. If you really are so worried about this perk, walk sideways or moonwalk. Another great way to trick those with Spine Chill if you expect they have it is to look forward, look away, look back. This not only allows you to observe the surroundings but it'll look as if you're chasing someone else and Spine Chill just happens to light up.

  • I like playing as him, it gives some neat bloodpoints. Playing against him is pretty boring however. I don't mind the pallets, its fun to guess yet the pools kill me on the inside as its essentially Clown but worse.

  • I don't know if I want these cosmetics or I really need them.

  • I think it would be very boring in my opinion. Perks are what allows us to switch up the outcome and make the game more interesting.

Without scratch marks, I think I'd be afraid to play most killers, including Nurse who relies on scratch marks to find survivors during fatigue. Spirit would also be very difficult when travelling from long distances as her base speed in Haunting is not that special.

I think saving your teammates could be difficult too. You don't get alerted when a teammate is saved so it could end up with 3 survivors hooked and the person is carrying on with a gen.

This mode would make Ghostface and Wraith be pretty pointless. Nurse and Legion would have too much trouble with fatigue.

Survivors could leave a loop and the killer could never know. Blendettes would gain an unreal advantage. Survivors would have far too much of an advantage.

Many structures would also become useless - no one would go near high structures meant to activate BL, the killer shack could be very troublesome for killers, infinites like Ironworks could be an issue as you may not know where they went. The Game map would be absolute hell, Lery's and Hawkins too.

Without a HUD, Nurse would have trouble with blink charges, Trapper would have trouble with traps, Hag would have to guess her traps, same with Freddy's pools and pallets - he could be reusing them over and over. As Pig, you can gain a huge advantage by patrolling boxes yet that can be a huge waste of time if they already removed their bear trap. Legion would be affected too, if they activate Frenzy on a healthy survivor but all others are injured, their power would effectively be wasted.

It would rely on sound a lot too, knowing when perks are back from cooldown, which can be difficult amidst the janky, loud chase music and the SCREAMS of Nurse in fatigue.

I could see the frustrations of killers becoming so unbelievably high that the queue times would skyrocket and nobody would play this mode. Essentially, you would be seeing Billy's gliding around the map not being able to find anyone, Nurses blinking to infinity and beyond, Spirits popping out on the other side of the map and Demogorgon would be completely lost without scratch marks with his portals.

A very cool and original idea however, props for that!

  • I will agree with @Carpemortum here, good headphones help a lot.

However, I like the idea that while in a chase, you're so focused on this survivor that you can't hear distinct sounds like breathing on the other side of a wall or the slow closing of a locker, because its unrealistic. I definitely experience this without the chase music too - sometimes I just don't pay attention to a loud sound and I look down and its like "Oh, my devour hope! Where did it go?"

Honestly,i don't think that would happen.I have never seen people trying to force a 3 gen right at the start of the match and even then only a few killer can actually capitalize on it.

And it is reportable when a killer is forcing a 3 gen after a certain amount of time.

I don't believe it is reportable. The killer is doing their job defending the gens and the survivors are not forcing the gens to be done. If you have more than one survivor, then a 3 gen should be no problem. You may rarely have to sacrifice a person or two but ultimately, a 3 gen is definitely possible to beat.

Forcing a 3 gen is a tactic I use all the time for more end game killers like Hag and Trapper where I can build my web or make a certain section of the map lethal. It is a perfect tactic for that one map - the Autohaven one where the map is segregated into 2 sections with a connecting path in the middle.

If anything, it shouldn't be reportable for the killer - what should they do? Let the gens get done? If the survivors are being immersive and not doing anything, its on them.

Now, the keys. I like your idea of keys, its like bringing a Bond into every game! The Blood Amber stacking with it may be an issue however. If you have ever played Object of Obsession again Freddy, your idea is like that, but with the bonus of the killer not being able to see you. The issue is that this can be used on every killer except those afflicted with Undetectable. Ghostface is the only who could chase effectively while undetectable (Tinkerer, Beast of Prey and Dark Devotion notwithstanding) so some may complain it is too strong. Huntress, Deathslinger, Hag, Trapper and Demogorgon would struggle with their movement speed and trap placements. Huntress and Deathslinger wouldn't be able to catch you on pallet gyms and jungle gyms unless you seriously messed up. To a degree, Nurse would struggle as well.

A very good idea, but there needs to be some sort of downside for the addon in this case it works like you say it does. The range could be decreased whilst using the addon or it takes double the amount of charges to use would be sufficient.

  • I main survivor and I'm totally okay with the situation being killer sided. The hatch is an attempt to get a free escape, if I couldn't find the hatch, its my fault. If I don't get good gate spawns, its okay.

The game is giving the last survivor 2 chances at a free escape, I wouldn't really be concerned about it the spawns being in favour of the killer.

I still dont get how legion has soo many penalties instadown killers basically have none and can wipe you out instantly but a killer thats power is basically useless has to have soo many undeserving penalties

Thank you for bringing this up! Now that I'm looking at it, you are completely right.

    1. When moving with Hillbilly's chainsaw, you move at 6m/s without addons. Not sure what is Legion's but its likely somewhere near 5.2m/s.
    2. Hillbilly can instadown you with his power. Legion can only injure with their power.
    3. Hillbilly takes a 3 second-ish stun, which can be changed by his addons. Legion takes a 4 second fatigue that blocks his vision.
    4. Hillbilly's power can last as long as he wants. Legion has a very mediocre duration that cannot reach people from across the map.
    5. Hillbilly's power can be used to down at otherwise impossible loops. Legion cannot even down a survivor with his power without a pointless addon that takes half of the match to actually work.
    6. Legion can not use his power effectively for mobility without addons.
    7. Legion cannot see scratch marks in his power.
    8. Hillbilly can also break pallets with his power, Legion has to use an Ultra Rare addon.

I do not think that Legion's immediate activation, increased vaulting speed and being able to vault pallets justifies this disparity.

On another note, I do agree with OP, there needs to be a reward for chaining hits. At the moment, it is very inefficient to actually stab all 4 survivors unless they are all grouped up - it wastes far too much time if they of great distance and often, you cannot reach the final survivor due to the duration. I'm not sure if mend time is the way to do it however, if the devs wanted more mend time they wouldn't have nerfed his blade addons.

  • I believe it was already found. I don't think anyone knows how it activates but in a cage near the saloon, there is a box. Normally, this box is closed but under certain conditions it will open. Someone found it by complete chance - some speculate that it is linked to completing the saloon generator.

  • Although it is strong, it is the only exhaustion perk that requires some amount of effort, besides Head On. The others have simple criteria that gets you away from the killer.

    1. Dead Hard is ineffective versus Instadown killers and perks (There are currently 5 killers and 6 perks , discounting addons) unless they choose to stay injured, a huge risk.
    2. Making survivors feel "safe" and "comfortable" is in no way a reason to change the perk.
    3. Easily baited and bypassed by killers like Huntress, Nurse and a Plague (with Corrupt). I will agree however that being able to not trigger Trapper traps and Hag traps should be looked at.
    4. I agree very much with this too, extremely unreliable. However, if it is used as intended, to avoid a swing, that might buy you what, 3 or so seconds. Much more effective using it to extend loops.
  • I'm not sure about Very Rare cosmetics or even Rare cosmetics but the Common - the simple recolours - should definitely be able to be bought with BP; they are not worth the 1800 shards and personally, I would never spend Auric Cells on them.

If they're running after you, they aren't getting anything done. if they get in the way you can just down them, creating more pressure.

At higher ranks this would be very true, especially if your teammates are subpar yet for the new players who will blatantly pick this up, could definitely be an issue.

If the Killer is chasing someone it is 100% the Killers decision. A Survivor cannot force a Killer to chase someone.

    @Topic:

In general, IF DS needs changing (this coming from a person who neither uses it for aggressive actions, nor gets hit by DS that often), it should have a short timer (15 seconds) which will not go down while in chase or slugged. This would actually prevent tunneling, someone who gets slugged right after the Unhook will still have his DS, and someone who got chased off Hook and manages to run the Killer around for one minute, will also have the DS. Because realistically, what else is the Survivor supposed to do at this point? Lets say got chased for 45 seconds, DS is about to run out, Survivor is on Death Hook. Jumping in the locker is basically the best play here, because this would give a chance to get the DS and manage to get away.

However, as written above, this would indeed need to be disabled with two people. But I guess this is fine, in general it could lead to Survivors being a little bit more aggressive when they are not on Death Hook but their teammates are.

Although yes, it is a choice to chase someone, survivors can do some pretty nasty things that could waste the killers time. For instance, the killer vaults the ironworks window but the survivor is crouched right after the window. To continue chasing his previous survivor, the killer would have to vault the window again and go all the way around, completely lose 2 survivors and find someone else, or hit the body blocking Survivor, which allows massive distance for the other survivor.

Nothing should be reliant on chases. Chasing is not a good mechanic to go by, look a Pig’s traps. You can soft lock someone to their inevitable doom with her power as it activates on chases. Think of old deep wound and legion, plenty of people would revert back to the “moonwalk, follow the blood” to avoid DS.

An anti tunnel perk could also be completely avoided by Furtive Chase, Tinkerer, the Undetectable effect or Insidious. (Might be wrong about this, not sure if you are technically still in a chase if there is no music)

The biggest issue would be Deathslinger. While speared, you lose chase meaning that the Deathslinger can literally just tow you around like a backpack for 15 seconds until your DS wears off. Easy to do with stronger chains but could be easily achieved with 2 spear shots, especially with recoil addons.

  • The main feature of the firecracker is the noise. When blinded at pallets or vaulting a window as killer, you can’t see but are able to hear the survivors. With firecrackers, if you blind them at a pallet, pickup animation or vaulting then you essentially get a free escape provided you’re not trying something idiotic.

it also seems like most people don’t know how to use them properly. I see people body blocking the hook trying to do it but it blinds the nearest person, meaning the body blocker is going to be blind.

  • Although this is still a better suggestion than the original perk, I bet people will still be able to abuse it. Simply, stop the killer from chasing other survivors. Use your decisive to chase the killer, body block for other survivors so the killer can’t deactivate your DS, give the killer the incentive to down and pick you up, take the DS.

i think all the current DS needs is a stipulation of “Deactivates when another survivor is hooked”

A cross-progession system would require the creation of a DBD account system. Unless that is Behaviour opts to use Xbox Live accounts, which some other games do for cross-progression.

As to what would happen with our current saves tied to are platform accounts I don't know. That would be up to Behaviour to decide. I presume they would allow you to link your platform accounts with your DBD accounts. My guess is you'd have to choose one over the other to link. I doubt they would allow you to link multiple platform accounts with one DBD account.

Thank you very much! It was kind of you to give such a thoughtful and knowledgable answer!

    Huntress plush.

Would you rather have Wraith go ZOOM ZOOM across maps, or go GOTCHA on repairing Survivors?

Wraith go zoom zoom! It would be so fun!

Would you rather be sniped by a Huntress with Iri hatchets or grabbed off a gen by a Ghostface?

  • If he’s that annoying, he becomes quieter along with the “main music” so turn that down and it should solve your problem but you have to turn it up when starting your game

  • Im seeing it now. DS, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, Adrenaline, Head On and Sprint Burst for months on the shrine! In all serious, although a very cool idea, it could be easily abused by the majority of the players.

  • I agree with absolutely everything here but also want to add that Nurse’s addons are actually pretty good - The brown, yellow and green ones I mean (Minus the meme addons). As a Nurse main I use blink recovery and fatigue decreases far far more than waking nurse and that weird blink back to where you were standing but at half the distance addon. The iridescents are quite shameful too, bookmark isn’t terrible but it sounds more like a yellow /green addon. (This does not include the purple range addon because cmon, it’s range, what’s not to like?)

  • I definitely don’t think they need more modes. It will definitely increase queue times. Even if players come back and new players join, there is going to be an imbalance on which side to play and I already wait 10+ minutes for survivor on PS4 and 10+ minutes for Killer on PC.

A good alternative however is events. I loved the old Hallowed Blight event and the Lunar New Year event where there were additional objectives. Secondary objectives and a different atmosphere and look to the game would probably motivate a lot more people - pustule gens, hanging shrunken heads from trees, leaking chests, bleeding lockers, that sorta thing. I’d love to see more community events too (eg if we get a total number of 50,000 pallets dropped in chases this month then everyone gets a free Feng shirt!) I know it’s difficult to add and balance events at this time but balancing 2 game modes at once is far more difficult.

I'm going to try to do this for all the basic killer perks that need help. Some of these might be more reworks than simple small buffs... but let's do it.

Deerstalker: Dying Survivors auras turn white if they max out their recover bar and yellow if they are being healed.

Distressing: Add Effect: Survivors within your terror radius repair, heal, and sabotage 5%/7.5%/10% slower.

Insidious: Add Effect: "Undetectable stays on for 2 seconds after moving or acting."

Iron Grasp: Add Effect: Picking up, Dropping, and Hooking survivors is 10%/15%/20% faster.

Monstrous Shrine: Ok let's be real, this needs a rework. So... delete what it currently does and... if I remember correctly every map has 2 spots where the Basement can be. What if this perk made both basements spawn? I have no idea how to scale it as it ranks up, but seriously how cool would that be?

Spies from the Shadows: Range increased to 64 meters. Cooldown increased to 60/45/30 seconds. The survivor who sets off the crow has their aura revealed to the killer for 5 seconds.

Unrelenting: Add Effect: Lunge range increased by 5%/10%/15%

I think you have some pretty rad ideas there friend! However, the last 3 have some large issues.

Monstrous Shrine - On Haddonfield and The Game, there is one spot where the basement could spawn, rendering the perk useless on those maps.

Spies - Spies is already an excellent perk, the range is not an issue. The issue is that crows aren’t strategically placed in high traffic areas. Take Haddonfield, there are no crows on the street but there are suddenly 5 of them on a bench or behind one of the houses.

Unrelenting - Lunge range would be BROKEN on killers like Wraith and Spirit as both of them get increased lunge when coming out of their power (I think Spirit needs addons to do this now, not entirely sure, one of them is the tsuba while the other is the very rare sword). All Unrelenting needs is a boost to its percentage. A 50% wouldn’t be that bad and it would be a overall good perk for beginners.

As a plus, you could even up the time for your insidious idea. Increase the time to activate insidious (5 seconds let’s say) and you get undetectable for as long as you stay still, 10 seconds after moving.

  • Probably pretty unpopular but I don’t think Dead Hard needs any changes. I hardly get to use it the way it was supposed to be used *Exhausted on ground* but Dead Hard for distance is also often used incorrectly too, ending up with a player completely missing their target or forcing themselves into a completely mindgame-able situation.

  • I’d like to see Buckle Up do a lot more for an “anti slug” perk. I’m not exactly too sure on what, so if someone could help me out that’d be great. Some ideas into the melting pot might be, increased healing speed on downed survivors, downed survivors gains endurance (not able to be used with insta heals, including For The People) or maybe it shows the killer while they are within a certain radius of the downed survivor.

Then you dont play competant survivors much..shes far from what she was

Trust me, I get lots of SWF and “competent” survivors. Nurse is all about predictions. If you fail to notice what they’re doing and predict them, then you’re going to have to trouble with Nurse. High risk, high reward killer; lots of skill and experience is needed.

  • It really depends... I like to think of Blendettes like items - most of them look the same but they are all individual in their own way.

if you want an efficient Blendette then Spine Chill, Urban, Iron Will and Sprint Burst may be pretty rad for getting gens.

if you want to hide and avoid chases, Spine Chill, Lithe, Dance with Me and Fixated may be a little better

  • I think most of what you’re saying is true but the whole “We can’t enjoy Nurse now, impossible to play her” thing is getting very overrated now. I’ve been a Nurse Main for about 2-3 months now and honestly, she is as playable as she was before. Sure, she has some bugs that need fixing desperately but whole reworking her power and addons were so needed and I appreciate the addons a lot more now. (Hooray! No 5 blink nurse!)

Haunting somethingsomething), Ghostface(Night Shroud), Demogorgon (damn...), The ######### cowboy(Redeemer), Oni (Wrath), Plague (Vile Purge), Probably forgot a killer even lol.

Name every item No more patient sorry, Flashlight, Medkit, Toolbox, Key, Map, Firecracker. Who needs items anyway? :)

Give me my D- please <3

Let’s see if I can help out here! Doctor’s power is Carter’s Spark, Spirit’s is Yamaoka’s Haunting, Demo’s is Of The Abyss (or something like that), Nurse’s full one is Spencer’s Last Breath, Huntress’ power is Hunting Hatchets, Oni’s is Yamaoka’s Wrath, Leatherface has his chainsaw named after him (Bubba’s Chainsaw), Hag’s is Blackened Catalyst and Freddy has Dream Demon. I think these are correct, not entirely sure about Hags or Demos.

edit: I forgot to say, you can suffer from Haemorrhage without being injured, Freddy has an add on for it

  • Well fun fact to you too, hitting a survivor immediately after you hook them stops that god awful scream they make. Some of said green ranks likely are doing this - not all, I bet some just want to hit you over and over, I can’t see the appeal myself but power to em.
