I'd rather we change the music so its not just a Ghost Face remix

super disappointed, but atm hoping its just a placeholder

yeah and its a little loud..

  • It's really bad on console lol, I am not sure why the wiggle strength makes it so much harder, but when people have boil over I literally can't get through doorways it sucks.

Sadly it does not fix bad teammates. I can be camped in Basement, one Survivor is doing Gens, the other two are trying to get me out against a Trapper who is a) camping me and b) trapped the ######### out of Shack. The only thing the symbols did is to show the Survivor on the Gen that one or two of them are chased. Game was obviously lost (would have been won if those two brightbulbs would have done a Gen).

So yeah, it is more of a QoL-Change. At best, sometimes it is more frustrating when you see people doing nothing or just blessing/cleansing Totems all the time.

But, I remember "GuEsS ThErE WiLl bE MoRe tUnNeLiNg" because some people like to pretend that it is an actual impactful change.

I actually think it's a much bigger deal than just QoL-change. It levels the playing field drastically, knowing what your teammates are doing at times, knowing the gen progress on gen, and seeing how recovered people are. I am not sure why you make it a simple quality-of-life change, like adding colorblind settings, because the changes done will drastically alter some games for the people who use those features. It's obvious it's not going to work all the time because of challenges/people in general, but it's pretty game-changing information. Pretending it's just a QoL improvement is like saying the change to how long the burst of speed from injuring a survivor or adding basekit sbfl stacks was just a QoL improvement when it was much more game-changing than it appeared. When the gen progress information is fixed for survivors, it will potentially allow you to make plays you usually couldn't have in solo q; the downed survivor recovery meter also tells you a lot of information as well; potentially, kindred might be a dead perk at this rate.

So I just played against a ghost face, that had a perk too where, I vaulted a pallet and it instantly broke, no tokens needed, because let's be honest, these killers really need help in these solo lobbies, that definitely should be a swf perk, can that be a thing, I just can't understand with all the things working for the killer, they just need absolutely more, I mean let's keep it real, these games are so easy for survivors it's ridiculous, lol

Yeah I faced a killer using unrelenting as well it made the killer able to hit you so much so fast after missing please nerf.

  • I have tried distortion vs killers with multiple aura reading perks and the majority of the time the tokens refill fast enough unless you are like completely avoiding where the killer goes entirely. Or if they have a tiny terror radius or are a stealth killer, those are the only reasons you should run out of tokens, so I think you are just using it incorrectly honestly lol.

You also have to keep in mind all the tokens lost = value, you caused the huntress to lose much needed information on you which means the perk is working as intended and you want to buff a perk that you already got that much value from. Do you just want to have your aura never be revealed in the first place by buffing it?

If distortion was buffed anymore it would become overpowered and completely force aura reading out making the slowdown meta worse because the only reason the aura reading is somewhat competing slowdown perks is because distortion as well as shadowstep aren't meta.

  • Yeah the biggest benefit I would say is the ability to traverse multi levels really fast which is why those are her strongest maps obviously, but I think it's also obvious that blight is way better at traversing on larger maps.

I am not sure why people think her blinks instantly take her the other side of map it was only possible when omega blink was still around.

  • yeah, there are holes in the fences that only survivors can run through it's pretty nasty. Makes badham that much worse for killers who don't really have chase powers.

Extra BP just feels like “Yeah we know you had a terrible unfun match against an oppressive killer but you got 5k more BP!”

It’s like a BP bonus for fighting a 4 man it doesn’t make it feel any better

I don't really feel like Nurse is going to be nearly as oppressive now that starstruck is out of the way as well as range and recharge are gone, and those were her best addon sets. I still feel as though the Jenners addon will be nerfed, and even if it isn't, I doubt it will make her as good as recharge or range simply because of how long the fatigue is if you make every chase last that long unless you are using four slowdowns lol.

I mean, so many people just kept spamming about how they buffed the third blink before, but people would still not run it ever cause recharge or range was just better in every way. This really makes me hesitate to believe that the purple addon will be a buff in any regard considering just how good recharge, for example was.

I feel like, if anything, heavy slowdowns should be nerfed like eruption because every killer runs it due to how busted it is, and maybe make it, so slowdowns don't synergize super well like we see it doing. Then I think Nurse will very much be in an okay place, still probably hated, but much less oppressive.

  • I dont use regression perks since I hate them when playing as survivor, but if I had to suddenly start using them I would go pain resonance and maybe a lesser regression perk like overcharge. Because A.) Pain Res has counters and B.) Overcharge is not nearly as bad as the other gen kicking perks.

  • @Sava18 said:

IMO. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it needs to be nerfed, BUT. If something meta for literally 5 years it should be shoved out of the meta, it's what I think about nurse as well. If you look at meta in other games, that's how it works. But in dbd It's a rarity.

I just wish the meta shift lasted a bit longer, and nobody really used dead hard because people didn't know how to make it work after its nerf. It's just boring to see it all the time again, and it's similar to seeing eruption or call of brine on a killer for the 50th time game in a row, though at least eruption hasn't been king of the meta for so many years.

  • @Raccoon said:

If you really struggle vs DH...

You can tunnel off hook as it does not work while in Deep Wound (resets after DS, though)

Run a killer like Legion/Slinger that inflicts Deep Wound

    Run anti-exhaustion perks/add-ons

Don't get me wrong, it's still crazy strong, but at least it has a very obvious animation/tell and some stuff in the game that innately counters it, now.

No, im just saying I missed when it was "dead" and nobody used it lol. I was just looking forward to the sprint burst/lithe meta, but the meta hasn't really changed that's the part that I'm complaining about.

  • I don't think punishing people for playing with friends is something that is needed, though it would be funny to add a feature to go into first person as survivor on April Fools so I can get jumpscared by a Ghostface or Myers and have a heart attack.

  • Literally tried playing today and had 2 teammates DC, 1 after being hooked and the other shortly after I was watching and it was because the killer waited out the hooked players dead hard lol. It wasn't even a killer that people really hate on it was just an Oni, people in this game can be really awful.

  • Pinhead, Legion, or Knight with slowdowns because the games usually take so long if they didn't use the genkick meta I would be more than fine going up against them, even Pinhead, but its just feels so boring it makes me want to genuinely just fall asleep because Eruption paired with call of brine and overcharge is just too much on a killer with stuff in their kit to already slowdown the game.

  • @Phasmamain said:

The patch was made to make the meta more fun and involved. If anyone prefers the new killer meta to PGTW I genuinely want to know your reasons

The new slowdown meta is the most boring meta they ever created, although I was away during the old undying ruin combo, so I don't know how annoying that was. This patch genuinely just is getting unfun, especially if it's a killer with built-in slowdown stacked with more slowdown, and games take 40 minutes, lol. Like the knight, I always sigh now when I see them because they are more than likely stacking slowdowns. Why they didn't at least nerf eruption is beyond me.

Tbh it's difficult to tell. She's losing a lot of her current broken stuff but gaining a lot of new stuff. There's really no telling if she'll be better or worse afterwards. I think she'll be worse, but I can definitely see somebody not agreeing with me on that.

Ah yes, losing both range and recharge addons, two of her best addon sets, will for sure make her worse to play against as well as losing 12-13 perks as they will no longer be usable on her definitely means she is worse to play against. It's a bit of an overreaction to think one unique addon is going to be as strong as recharge and range, and regardless, I doubt they will keep the addon live with how they nerfed the fatigue add-ons, even though nobody ever used them lol. Also, I get people are all making the 6 blink nurse things, but how many Nurses have you seen using the 3rd blink addon even after they buffed it lol I saw 1, and that was after they had buffed it, and people still never used it over range and recharge.

Though the Jenner addon likely will be used well simply because there are very few add-ons left to use that offer utility and allow you to better control the blinks at this point. Like maybe since all the other addons are now kind of trashy maybe, the third blink will be used more since the alternatives are the awful undetectable addon or awful addon that makes nurse an m1 killer lol. The other ultra rare, I don't know if it will be strong, people have been saying it's super strong, but I never liked it, so I doubt ill like it still, even after the buff.

  • Just use distortion for survivors and sadly for killers there aren't really many options that block auras yet, imagine a distortion for killers lol that would be a neat niche perk. Though since stealth killers block auras they don't really need any help in that regard, but I can see your point about how effective aura reading is against most nonstealth killers.

Did you really knowingly main Nurse thinking she would never be nerfed? Like I have mained Blight for a year and I am not going to throw a fit like you when ring and c33 get nerfed lol.

Since when was discussing throwing a fit? I just don't see this as a healthy change as I realize now perks that I enjoy like sloppy butcher are pretty much dead now. If anything I was fine with range and special attacks being added. You seriously don't need to be so petty do you people have no consideration for other people. Like genuinely dislike being on the forums because of people like you just saying you are being a jerk for zero reason.

1 survivor permanent on hook whilst you can chase down others?

Sounds like a buff to killers to me

Tried it with my swf on a small map perm aura revealing is quite strong especially when it covers 75% of the map. It's more of a problem with map design than anything similar to that of the boil over situation when it was released. It's actually quite strong, but don't use it with solos as they would think you were bming, also reassurance works multi level so if multiple people have it they can just go under the floor or above you and activate it.

  • @DragonMasterDarren said:

Pretty much every Exposed perk will be made effectively useless, so will Surge, Sloppy Butcher, and that's just off the top of my head

So in short, all of the perks that make Nurse objectively overpowered instead of borderline overpowered

I have more difficulty versing other killers than a Nurse, at this point nothing will please you people it's just tiring to hear the same thing over and over again even when you get what you want. Just admit you want every killer to be trapper level lol, where you can effectively 1v1 the killer.

  • With less variety Nurses will be forced to either go for information or straight up gen regression, I agree that the exposed perks were a good change, but I feel like we are losing a lot of variety with the change. Used to think it was positive, but then I realized we are just going to see more regression Nurses, until people start complaining that Nurse can see auras and make it so only regression perks are viable lol.

  • @Phasmamain said:

As a resident Nurse hater I want to go over my opinions on the nerfs and whether or not I think they are good changes

So starting off Blink attacks are now considered special attacks. I’m actually kinda mixed on this change since it’s basically another band aid fix for her power. She can still just go through walls and hit you from far distances but now is limited to only non basic attack perks. This change was for the better though and maybe perks like starstruck and Awakened awareness can now be changed properly

Next is the sound cue. This change essentially does nothing except maybe for new players but they’ll just get destroyed by her anyway. It’s another form of “counterplay” that basically just tells you when the nurse is ready to hit you after about 3 seconds

As for add-ons I have no doubt most will be gutted and she’ll be left with only meme add-ons or gimmicks. This is for the best but again highlights just how broken even her base kit power is since no other killer has got this treatment. If you give a killer only 2-3 add ons that are actually useful that’s literally all people will use and nurse even showed this already with range/recharge. Mostly likely this will stay the same depending on what changes

Overall these changes are nice but nurse is essentially the same. All that will happen is we’ll see them run more general meta like eruption, CoB, overcharge and maybe more info instead of lethality like floods of rage or BBQ

Like im happy for the special attack change, but it just sucks that the addons are likely going to be gutted as it already felt like a waste of time buying anything, but recharge or range cause the others suck so bad.

  • Alright now, but its getting more popular I wouldn't be against just nerfing it again honestly cause the revival is ongoing and even though I used to love the perk it is insanely boring to see it all the time again.

It got absolutely slaughtered in the PTB because a couple of killers were complaining they couldn't just facecamp anymore.

If it could be used unlimited times swf could just abuse it using kindred and open-handed to get 24/7 aura reading on the killer at all times like old object of obsession, but in a zone. Easily making areas into unmindgameable tiles where the survivor can waste exceedingly amount of times because even when they do moonwalking or any fancy nonsense it doesn't stop aura reading its ridiculously easy to loop tiles when you see the killers aura basically like an open tile. So good luck huntress if you are on a high tile that you need to mindgame to get a hit you are going to have to run around that loop 10 times to get bloodlust 3 or simply leave making it all just a waste of time.

That is just one possible combo that could be done not only that, but it could potentially be used as a troll perk, but I think that could be easily fixed by allowing someone to give up or get rid of the effect. People like to throw shade on kindred and open-handed. Still, it's easily the most useful information perk survivors have to offer, and the best part is on small maps it can literally be a free object without needing other survivors to be revealed.

On a map like midwich people could easily abuse this by standing under the hooked survivor, and honestly, the aura revealing is massive, absolutely massive 32 meters, in fact, nearly half the map on a map like midwich. Yeah, it may be a few maps that this could be abused, but it's similar to boil over, where it was awful, and bully squads would abuse the heck out of it.

You might not care about this, but many others do making reassurance infinite would be the worst thing ever cause of just how abusable it could be in certain situations just like boil over. Like, I was joking with my swf when I showed them kindred open-handed the first time on a small map like what if I brought reassurance and just made them into a motion detector lol and honestly, it may not be busted with the current reassurance, but old reassurance it could have been overpowered as all heck to all, but stealth killers.

  • I got mine the hard way, and I feel like the achievements for killer are just straight-up dumb, they are way harder than survivor adepts for zero reason and some, like the plague for really frustrating to achieve. I have every killer adept, and I for one think nobody looking to get adepts should have to struggle that hard just for a dumb achievement.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

Killer is the easiest it's ever been. But what killer are you playing? Experiences vary greatly between them.

Maybe easier for the sweatier killers, but for more casual players who don't want to play kicking simulator, it really isn't as easy as you make it out to be. Generators go by really fast and the only real way to provide ample time for yourself if you don't enjoy stacking regression is by tunneling out players.

  • @TAG said:

Question that's always been on my mind: How does one make a killer that is strong, fun for both sides, and not heavily reliant on anti-loop?

In my opinion, there is no way to make a killer that is fun for everyone, because survivors like easy killers, and killers want to feel like their actions have meaningful impacts on the game there is no way to add both because you will just get scenarios where you make a killer that is easy to bully or you have to play in a certain way that is unfun to get greater impact from them. Sadako and wraith maybe can be used as an example. I mean I know people that hate rework hillbilly and hillbilly is one of the more fun killers to face as a survivor. They usually say it's because they have an instant down and go super fast lol.

  • I don't enjoy running around the same object multiple times by people who can loop perfectly, it was fun when people were new to it cause you could mess them up easily, but now it's really difficult to mindgame perfectly, so no being looped just isn't fun anymore. Beforehand I would have said it was my favorite part of chasing, but now I just find it ridiculously boring, especially if the survivors are gunning out generators, then it turns into a stress test, lol. Anti-loop killers are popular for a reason.

  • They already said its unlikely they will ever do the big changes thing like they did with prestige reworking it as well as changing the meta perks. So I don't have much hope if im being honest..

  • Please, we need this lol.

  • I give hatch if they 4%, give me their items, or are just not toxic to me generally though it depends on if, in the previous game, I was beaten up by more toxic survivors. Then I am not as likely to give hatch unless the survivor really was cute. Then I can't really say no. :c

  • @Tantamountain said:

Whenever I am survivor I can never find any pallets to drop.

There are no loops any more it seems. No windows (not that it matters, the time to jump through and killer lunge range means it's basically a free hit when you go for them), no pallets, dead zones EVERYWHERE.

Were they reduced alongside the time to break pallets and the increase in gen repair time?

This is the worst time to be a survivor in the last several years for sure.

    Use windows of opportunity.

arent there killers who can compete better at hookcamping than knight? i thought that his guard go away once you unhook them?

They do go away instantly as soon as you unhook them, he is an awful hook camper not sure why they brought that up lol. If the survivors know what to do he isn't that hard to get saves from even if he is camping with his knight, the thing that makes the knight annoying isn't the fact that the guards can be at hooks cause that has a built-in counter. It's the fact that he is the best 3 gen protector, in my opinion, up there with a speedy blight with the best addons.

Like it honestly feels like legion, but with generators, if a knight brings in loads of regression perks and picks out a 3 generator and protects it like his life depends on it, they can really stall the game out. The best counter to this kind of playstyle is swf and even then, you have to hope everyone plays perfectly and calls out everything. If you are a solo, good luck.

  • @Pulsar said:

It's like this at the beginning of every event.

You get a lot of sweats and people not interested in playing the event.

It dies down eventually. A lot of Killers also probably have some bad memories from last year.

First match I just became a snowman and spun around playing around with the survivors, they never even got into a snowman once and just rushed generators lol.

Ok so how do you explain him not unhooking me and staying on my face for a while? What meme-ing? Only one person is memeing, no one else agreed to that? I thought farming while the rest of the team doesn't want to join is reportable but somehow getting your teammates killed because you refuse to save them is meme-ing? Jesus, what am i even reading here.

I hope you're consistent with survivors "meme-ing" vs a killer with boil over and sabo squad.

How is even remotely similar, just like yeah, it's a playstyle it's not fun to go against, but it's not like it is not allowed, not really the best example of being consistent. Yeah sure it makes the games take ages and is annoying, but it's not like the game will never end so not sure what your point is with the boil-over and sabo squad thing.

  • I feel like the meta changes breathe some life into the game. Or just reworking old perks makes me so excited ohmygosh lightweight I used to never touch that perk, but now it is actually neat and I can put it on a build that actually helps me a lot. I want to feel that way about more perks, but it still feels like half the perks on survivor and killer are outdated.

  • No, that gives me a headache. (Also lol, don't want to play Nurse and be like oh this is so relatable cause my vision sucks.)

Also, you are just asking for full slowdown to be the only thing able to be used, when you are taking away all the unique options available to killers don't be surprised if they go with the only thing that works for them.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Gens feel faster because Survivors are more focused on Gens due to the oppressive Slowdown-Meta run by Killers. Basically, the first thing a Killer does is not go into the chase, but to kick the Gen and then you already know that they have at least Call of Brine and Eruption. And Survivors adapt (which they always get told by Killer Mains) and do more Gens.

Not cool for either side, but it is what it is I guess. Killers want their 4 Slowdown-Builds because it is the easiest way to play Killer, but since many Killers apparently STILL struggle nowadays, it will also stay like this for a long time I guess.

But hey, we have people here who think that 4 Slowdowns mean that there is more variety. Because you will never encounter a Nurse or Blight with Eruption, Call of Brine, Overcharge, lel.

Can you people stop with the us vs them it is so annoying. Killers adapt to fast gens by stacking slowdown survivors adapt to the stacked slowdown by doing gens more. It isn't something that is happening because the oppressive killers are doing it, it's just dumb meta things. There are survivors who rush gens against the trapper with all aura reading, then they start stacking slowdowns because it helps more than aura reading perks. Because why would the trapper run an aura reading perk when it doesn't actually help them whatsoever? The people on both sides adapt to what they go against it isn't something only one side faces.

  • While that is true, the incapacitated status effect is unfun to go against, and so many killers are using it because it is so good. I am all for their being strong stuff, but when things start being seen constantly, I think it's too much. I rather have the meta being consistently shaken up then to let it decay like it did with dead hard.

  • Yes, I spare the new survivors cause I can't kill them, and it makes me sad to hook them cause they are really cute. Sometimes if they don't get I spare them I pretend to be dumb and let them find the hatch, so they have a pleasant memory of that escape and getting the hatch. ^^

  • They broke undetectable, they broke inner strength, they broke kindred.. how it was a hotfix it was supposed to fix things, and now literally everything is broken ohmygosh lol.

  • @Brokenbones said:

    Okay so basically

If I have Kindred equipped, before the hotfix I could see the Killer's aura if anyone was hooked.

Now, you only see the aura if the person on hook has Kindred.

It's also worth noting that this hotfix broke every single undetectable killer's power and they are revealed by aura perks. I made a bug report about it just now

how did they manage to break.. that...

  • Could you imagine what they would say if you accidentally do something wrong like an accidental sandbag or waste a pallet lol, I know there are gameplay issues, but I couldn't imagine how toxic people would be.

  • @FrodoTbaggins said:

    And why is it Wraith?

I am addicted to Shadowborn. S tier perk for me.

  • I know it's a joke where people are okay with twins being broken, but it is sad at this point. Twins need some love soon, they are such a buggy mess, and they haven't done a thing. It reminds me of them leaving Nurse bugged for so long after her rework, where you could have game-breaking bugs every match. People were always like haha, I hope they keep it that way, but leaving a killer in a buggy mess isn't okay. It needs to be on high priority. They need to do a bug-fix thing to help twins now. They aren't even as old as Nurse, so I doubt rewriting the coding is an issue, so I don't know why they can't do it.

  • I think most people can agree the way the perk is currently designed is too much.

  • I sadly never get nice demos only the ones with sbfl and scream at you a lot hitting hook and making me go deaf. I miss the times when I got to like the demos who nod at you because the demo has one of the cutest nods in the game lol.

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 11
