Then again considering how they changed other killers, like freddy or billy we maybe should not even want them to touch nurse...
I still dislike them nerfing billy I used to play a lot of billy before the nerf sadly the overheating ruined the strategies besides instant saw which was the main problem, hurting drift king billy and curve billy like I still think drift billy is one of the most fun addon combos, but it really does not feel good with overheat and poor freddy half his addons do nothing he just feels boring to play as.

You act like anyone can have a 500 win streak on Nurse, like most Nurses are nowhere near the lvl of SuperAlf and will never be at that lvl I mean the guy literally trains beforehand so he is on point lol. Though sure nerf the killer because 1 person got that large of a streak im sure the console nurses like myself and the other decent nurses will appreciate a character being butchered because you think SuperAlf by himself means its okie to nerf a killer to a ground. :)

Do you know how short 0.5 seconds is? You can DH the moment the killer starts their lunge animation and still go down before it ends because the endurance from DH expired. That’s how short it is.
Timing is everything with the new DH and if they manage to pull it off, they deserve the speedboost they get even at pallets
it's not that hard to force endurance hits in pallets, and the animation that plays out is more than enough to eat a lunge. The only times it sucks to use is if the killer is right on top of you because them making a quick attack is unreadable, so it's doubtful that you will be able to guess when they will swing. Other than that, I don't think using dead hard at pallets is that difficult. Most of my friends I play with agree that most of the time, the only real sucky thing about dead hard is latency because even a little bit can make it dead hard not to do anything.
-
Not gonna lie the changes you suggest make Nurse sound so boring, but if you want to kill her pick rate and kill rate good work because these changes would definitely do the job lol.
-
I feel like they need to bring a solo to SWF level asap because everyone is getting tired of the massive gap between performances everyone knows solo is challenging unless you get solid teammates, and SWF can, for the most part, destroy most mid and low strength killers quite easily. Maybe give solo q empathy or maybe bond I have no idea how to get them to the level of SWF because SWF is just so much better in every aspect, then maybe once solo q has that buff so they have more tools buff low-mid killers accordingly?
Honestly, to also add to you getting really strong survivors, I often get killers who have little idea what to do, like literally one yellow perk who only really knows how to bloodlust and not take out pallets. I have 2000 hours, and I'm getting killers that I can only assume just started playing, matchmaking is so busted it's not even funny.

Actually Sadako and Nurse have the same kill rate in the 5% MMR bracket alongside some other killers. Nurse is only really low on the All Matches chart, presumably because of her learning curve.
Yeah, I corrected myself. Apologies; I misread that wrong. I have a reading problem and have to reread things several times.

Can´t wait for the "nerf Onryo and buff Nurse" threads. Thats going to be the new meme!
I never anticipated the killer rates would look like that, who would have thought Onryo would have better kill rates than even Nurse its all so bizarre to me lol. Like I never thought they would be in the same tier in the top 5% never in a million years.

People will always cry. This is not a reason to give them what they want but neither is a reason to never do anything.
Nurse is mile above blight and the fact that BHVR need to nerf perks because otherwise with nurse they will be too oppressive it is enought.
- After a blink and before a fatigue hits should not be basic.
- Remove the long range addon and make the short range purple
- Nerf the speed to 95%
I think this will be anought.
It's so unfun having add-ons like bad man's last breath. Oh boy, I get to be undectable for 16 seconds every 60 seconds. Or the movement speed increase addons begs the question of why not just play a regular killer instead of going out of your way like that. My point is the addons are too weak like there are so many bad addons already that I wish they just got rid of them at this point because they fill up bloodwebs lol. If you get rid of the few good addons Nurse has, it leaves 3 addons worth using besides the overrated 3rd blink.. which I honestly wish they would just remove so people would stop bringing it up like it is a good addon lol.
You may be saying Nurse basekit is good enough. Still, honestly, it's a longshot from a pre-rework base kit, and more likely than not, you will have people shift w, which is base kit Nurses' weakness because it's so slow to recharge. You don't catch up quickly, so not only do you have to play perfectly constantly, but you have to try your hardest to keep track of all manner of things. You have to hope the survivors don't know you have base kit Nurse and all shift w away, which, more than likely, they figure out fast when you first blink barely catches up to them.
I will never forget the pain of playing on large maps with base kit Nurse because half of the time, you just have a feeling as soon as you load up, it's gonna be a shift w gameplay half the game, lol. Which is fair enough to them. I suppose it is the best strategy to make the distance on a Nurse without range, but it feels awful. I unironicly rather play twins instead of basekit Nurse on a map like red forest.

No clue why they deactivate the serum for killer, but don't deactivate the survivor items. It's just bizarre. Neither should be deactivated at all, but it's strange they went to the trouble of specifically disabling one side. My only idea is that they are concerned about how it might work with killers as they are being released.
I agree entirely it's bizarre to me, and I wish they just allowed it to be a thing. It is not a strong addon and I have never, throughout all my time playing that game seen anyone complain about it at all, I'm sure there have been people, but if so it is definitely very rarely done. I think it's one of the most April Fools Esq addons ever created just with how absurd it is.
I'm not really completely sure about that because it's not like the new killers will instantly have access to blight serums unless their release date is during the Halloween event, but they already managed to make it work with Wesker, so I don't know about that. Though then again, I always forget when the subsequent killer releases, but I'm pretty sure it's after the Halloween event, so I don't think they are all that concerned about new releases functioning with blight serums, or maybe I just misinterpreted what you meant.

You are a hero thank you so much. <3 <3 <3 <3

I think these addons&items should be available all year long on top of that.
I never liked the idea behind that - time limited addons that actually change the gameplay.
If devs re-add these features, that must mean they are in an acceptable balance state, so why not just make them available for everyone who would enjoy running them.
Like, it's okay that event-themed items for survivors are limited because they are just re-skinned default items, but refined or blighted serum should stay because they add new gameplay options
Agreed, its silly to me that they deactivate them like it just adds more options to the game. I never really understood why they deactivated them in the first place and I honestly have never seen anyway complain about the Blight Serums in the first place, at least the one for killers lol. I am sure everyone thinks its hilarious when all a sudden a bubba does a blight rush towards them.

Oh damn the nurse mains were already here…
Anyways. Yeah I’m asking myself the same question every day. She’s super unfun to play against.
👏Rework 👏The 👏Nurse 👏Already
Yeah, we all know the story, every person who enjoys Nurse is lying through their teeth, or their opinion doesn't matter. Your opinions are the only thing that matters regarding what killer is fun to go against and what killer is unfun to go against.
You know, if it was left to people like you, I doubt there would be any killers to play, or maybe all the killers would be skins basically with all their "unfun" aspects taken away, because let's be honest, here every killer is complained about at some point it doesn't matter if they bypass game mechanics or not people would instead go up against killers they have an easier time with than killers they can't use the same strategy a million times over.
Maybe one day you will care about others' opinions and stop shoving them down into the muck because of your inability to understand that people can and are allowed to enjoy other things you don't personally enjoy, or I guess we go straight to insulting and ignoring, that works as well I guess lol.

I could make a nurse main flow chart at this point tbh. Fact is she has a choke hold on killer balance and makes perks harder to balance through her existence alone
Funny you should say that I could do the same with people who despise Nurse lol, I am willing to bet that people are calling the new bug fixes for Nurse buffs and going "how could devs buff nurse again?!!" even though I do recall others getting angry at the fact killers were saying the devs buffed dead hard instead of simply saying they fixed it. (Only mentioning it because you are saying how you know how people who play Nurse will react.)
The forums especially have always been just circles of namecalling and toxicity, why have civil discussions when you can create a big circle of people who agree with you and shut the other people out. (And no I don't mean "killer mains" or "survivor mains" I mean everyone does this in the forum. People are hypocrites to the things they dislike and will do anything to get people to side with their own opinion, you may have experiences that differ from others, don't act like you are some kind of all knowing person just because you played this game for a long time doesn't mean anything.
I'll be honest my time away from the forums has made me realize just how dumb I was being with always thinking I knew how things should be balanced and what direction the game should go. I am honestly just tired of how people are always so toxic about everything on this game, like sorry for enjoying Nurse and I guess I'm also sorry for coming back to this forum as well because things have not changed one bit with this community lol literally the first post is a big fight on my favorite killer. x-x

Though this just honestly sour the mood overall, I honestly was hoping that it was a scam and it was fake but turns out the people who called it out were semi-right.
-
That moment where the start of the game was awful and I go full damage control by slugging survivor left and right. You can pretty much know for sure the killer is panicking when they start slugging I admittedly once I notice I have 3 hooks and 1 gen left go into full damage control mode.

I got matched with a default Jake with 8 hours total on the game and a Nea who had 215 days played in the same match. My buddy and I both have 100 days.
The Killer has 250 days and was Console Nurse.
He got 1 hook and it was on Jake near the end.
That pretty much sums up my games for today except in reverse where everyone was new to the game except me. Though I did get a game afterward which was with an experienced killer and 2 newish survivors so i guess there is that lol.

If you died you lost mmr, it doesn't matter how well or how much you did during the match.
I didn't die, I just felt bad because the people I got matched with was similar to the experience of a rank 1 playing with rank 20s in the old ranking system.

I'm getting people who are in groups and they definitely aren't new. So it might just be your MMR.
The weird thing is I have been constantly escaping, so I am not sure why its as low as it is, I'm guessing it's very low at the moment because everyone I'm playing with is at the level where they are getting to be experienced, but aren't experienced. Like constantly hiding when the killer is hooking someone halfway across the map level of experience.
-
I miss old hillbilly I never get to play against him anymore and he honestly was fun to play against.
-
If you are playing against a high ping killer the literal only way to deny scary hits is if you hit them directly with a pallet, they will get a delayed stun which tells you that the server pallet worked against the super high ping killer. If you do not hit them directly with the pallet you will get hit even if the pallet fully falls down sadly that's just how it is and it was much worse before the pallet hit registration now you at least have a weapon against super high ping killers.
-
If you are still getting infectious fright to occur then you are still in the terror radius.
-
I wouldn't mind this perk like even if it's a free escape if the situation calls for it I actually wouldn't feel that bad if I saw this perk was in play I would much rather go against this perk than keys in general. Like I think if you brought this perk situational, I would be like okay you deserved that hatch.

Sorry for the bad quality, I play on ps so it's going to be low quality.

Nurse is fair and balanced now, she does need very very much needed bug fixes that are being ignored as of current though. The only people who think she isn't balanced are coincidentally the people who don't know how to play against Nurse.

I honestly don't know anymore, every killer I have has hit the threshold where I face the same survivors I go against as Nurse and honestly I am a little bit bored during my matches because it's always the same builds and fast generators, at this point I want to run slow down and I want to run noed because at least those will work, my unique build doesn't work half the time.. and don't even get me started on how stealth killers just feel so unrewarding to play as, especially when you go against swf.

I know Alert is better, I wasn't asking for suggestions for perks to run instead of Object. The point of the thread is to give my feedback that Object sucks and suggest ways to improve it.
I was just saying that it might not be a good idea to buff a perk like that, as much as I like having good perks Object of Obsession as a concept was always just a little bit overpowered I don't really think it deserves a buff if I am being honest. :c
-
If you want to use a perk that allows you to see the killer's aura use alert, it works every match and tells you a lot of information, and it's not nearly as oppressive as OoO was. The only reason people never use it is that OoO was just better at allowing you to get information anytime you want, I would say that every perk that allows you to magically see the killer's aura is overpowered, but only against nonstealth killers at moment due to the oblivious effect update.

I know I should probably oppose this, but I feel like resilience is pretty fine as it is, like its not too menacing, but it isn't bad either in my opinion. To be fair the tombstone animation for Myers is more than enough time to reach the hatch by simply running, the only way you wouldn't get hatch is if you ran the wrong way which honestly if you are like me and has no idea where hatch spawns on each map then that is very likely lol.
You wasted your own time, Myers did nothing wrong in this case because you were simply abusing lockers to deny him the tombstone mori, it was never intended to be counterplay, but I can understand that people do it because being moried without getting hooked is frustrating. Though let's be real here, the ultra rares take forever to actually make work, the only times it works is if you catch the survivors off guard, the survivor's arent that experienced and feed you evil within, or you get it at nearly the end of the game and at that point you lost.
To be honest I have seen more Myers get destroyed than win with those addons myself included, so if it was me I would have just given him that mori, because it is honestly frustrating that people just sit in lockers all game because they are mad that Myers got his addons to work. Literally, the only way to get the achievement is if the survivors don't sit in lockers to deny the mori or the survivors give you the achievement, there is literally no in between the reason why it such a hard achievement to get is that toxic people doing this very intuitive counter instead of you know, not letting him stalk you?

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/286798/medkit-op-since-when
Which is why I don't understand the Circle of Healing hate. Circle of Healing is a waste of a perk slot because you can bring in a medkit. Circle of Healing takes 30 seconds to setup and use (Not including the random amount of travel time you also waste finding a totem). Self Care takes 32 seconds to use. Medkit beats both, hands down.
Free unlimited medkit ill take it lol also I don't enjoy self care since circle of healing is faster I want to use it. Finding totems is not a problem either and time isn't an issue for me.

I had otz tunnel out my friend at 4 gens because all 4 of us brought medkits. He said in the stream that he played scummy because we all had medkits like what? I don’t complain when the killer brings addons that turn the match into their favor. Medkits are the new keys
When most of the killers are addon dependent I don't think its really a fair comparison, especially if you are high enough MMR as otz 4 medkits are strong and deny so much of the killer's pressure you pretty much have to focus solely on a single survivor or else they are just going to heal faster than you can hit them all.
They are quite effective at what they do and strong against most killers, so you will see value out of them nearly every game so they are quite worth it in my opinion, so I am not sure why you are downplaying their effectiveness and the value you get from them.
You do not need items to win as a survivor, but as a killer, you need addons to win not using them is like intentionally handicapping yourself as most killers can't go against survivors basekit, while as a survivor the only thing that you need are perks to extend the chases, etc especially in swf which on its own is 7 overall perks to all swf survivors.
Swf is a free kindred, bond, object of obsession added on top of your four perks of choice, there is four survivors and chances are the swf will have eyes on you the entire match with teammates constantly calling out if the killer is on them or if they are working on generators, etc. (and you don't have to worry about your teammates killing you out of nowhere.)

@Exult said:
There's this rising sentiment that somehow medkits are too strong. Since when have they been too strong, and in tandem since when did they need to be nerfed? I don't think they do at all. They can be the strongest item if you feel that way, but that doesn't mean they need to be changed. Healing has been this way for a while and it's never been complained about until now.
Maybe this is just because I've seen Scott and Otz talk about it. Normally I agree with them but this time I'm not so sure. I think they're trying too hard to make a bad argument that medkits are too powerful.
To be fair keys and medkits are clearly the strongest items in the game after toolboxes were slightly changed, keys are pretty self-explanatory and medkits are because depending on the medkit they can deny ingame pressure from dividing attention to pressure multiple survivors at once fast. In fact, if you make a healing build it's a safe bet that you will be able to take a lot of pressure away from the killer quite fast and efficiently. (Though now that keys are being reworked they are no longer the best survivor item, it's now medkits, toolboxes, maps, and keys in that order obviously in my opinion.)
Being a strong looper adds so much value to medkits that you can win games solely on the ability to deny the killer their pressure from getting injured, it also works against slugging because you won't have to deal with all survivors being injured and potentially losing a war of attrition.
-

yeah this happens to everyone. from the time to time you just assume everyone is gonna use unbreakable, will deadhard to a pallet, the unhooker has BT, that everyone who enters a locker has head on, and everyone who is slugged under a pallet is running powerstruggle flip flop.
basically every survivor is running everything and nothing at the same time
everything you just said gave me flashbacks like im not even joking.

I personally think Wraith's power should be adjusted or changed into something more interesting--not because of his power level, but just because he's honestly pretty boring to play in my opinion. His power is not something to wow over, but I believe that of Hillbilly as well. They're both just older Killers whose powers are a bit too simple and boring to use and don't result in exciting and fulfilling gameplay. I mean, if people thought Billy was a fun Killer to play, they'd still be playing him often after he received his overheat mechanic, however I've only seen him three times in the past 3 months. In my opinion, he was mostly played because he was strong, not because he was necessarily fun.
I'm not saying I have a better idea for them by any means. I just feel like they could both be updated in a more meaningful way rather than just continuing to tweak their addons and values.
well to be fair billy was fun to play as and against, but after the rework he is only fun to play against because they took a lot of the fun out of him. even if he was a bad killer people would still play him if he was fun, but he isn't anymore I used to play billy, but after the rework he is painful to play in high mmr just isn't fun anymore.
