Has this map been disabled more than it has been available?
I get the hate for the map, but how awful that a newly released map has to be disabled this much.
-
For me his voice lines were a major part of why people were going to buy him.
They should have made it very visible that he no longer had those OR will have those.
Clarity is everything.
-
Meh... I think it's too early to call him "Amazing".
I feel like his power hinders him more than it helps him. Which is not a good thing.
The fact that a survivor can pick up the box, have him teleport and not even get an indicator of where that survivor is, is bad design IMO.
Sometimes fun doesn't necessarily mean something looks great, it needs to be effective too.
Add to that, that this patch came with a lunge bug and a random disconnect from the killer you just purchased as the cherry on top.
I just don't see how you can call something amazing when it hasn't even gotten past the bugs enough to actually play him as he is 'meant' to be played.
-
I'm not one of the "refund people" but I think its pretty bold to assume that $5 means the same for everyone. Some people don't even have enough to buy a DLC.
Either way, I don't care if the DLC was worth $1, that's still YOUR money. You should get what you paid for.
-
Noice!
-
Where are you getting this information?
-
It’s RNG sided.
-
So you are playing selfish as a result of your own experience.
Glad to know this is exactly why SoloQ is sitting there as the most atrocious experience you could have in this game. Yet many people on these very forums think it’s because they lack what SWF have. Which come to think of it, it IS… and no I’m not talking about comms, I’m talking about the ability to work as a team.
-
Just don’t do gens and don’t go for hooks and hide.
Why do you need perks when you’re going to be selfish?
Kinda weird how this is something worth discussing about in a team based game.
-
Old wore out topic. Beaten to death.
Next.
-
At this point I am close to the point of asking the devs to get rid of DS completely and just give me a bat, machete or a shotgun instead.
Maybe then play styles won’t be considered “survivors playing stupid”… pressed E to get away? Survivors making mistakes. Used DS at a locker or with Deliverance? It’s survivors playing stupid. The list goes on.
Forget that they virtually aren’t required to press anything while having a hex perk in their load out, Or don’t have to perform an action while getting tinkerer to proc. Because I’m sure that is considered playing “smart” by their own standards.
-
Hmmmm.
-
I think if you know about your health conditions and what you have already been through, you should also understand that there are trolls/jerks online who will attempt to get under your skin, so when people say grow thicker skin they aren’t trying to get you to flip a switch.
They are offering you a solution which is that YOU need to either tell yourself that they aren’t worth your time, so in other words “move on” from it, turn off post match chat (whatever you gotta do for yourself) OR remove yourself entirely from the situation I.E. take a break from the game.
Nobody on here is Oprah or Dr Phil to be able to give you the right answer. So all we can really do is give you some advice. Because it is something you are gonna have to work out yourself, because many of us get hit with the same kind of ridiculous trolls and know our limits. You just gotta learn yours.
-
Oh god, I don’t find him fun now, I can’t imagine if he had a one shot all the time.
-
You just described the reason soloQ is in bad shape.
Sometimes it has nothing to do with perks or comms, just down right common sense.

I'd argue it's a dummy account and the survivors were just bad
She 4k’d us but I wouldn’t say we were bad. I ran her for about 2 gens and we ended up with 1 gen left, because she still had Ruin by the time we lost a teammate.
That said, I am not salty about it nor do I think she didn’t deserve her kills, I actually complimented her blinks.
My question was based off the fact that she held her blink after every hook and teleported in the direction of the other survivors without BBQ and also how she could get A feast for the entity in 47 hours worth of play time.
I don’t play Nurse so I don’t know how long it had taken people who do get that achievement.

was the profile private? if so they are probably a hacker, ill be honest i kind of skim this while i wait for queues, but as the math fellow pointed out its not really possible to get feast in under 100 hours. i dont want to say they were cheating openly but the signs point to it it seems.
I don’t recall if it was private or not, but I think you’re right all the signs point to that.
I know Nurse is a very difficult killer to master, so I almost feel honored going against them, because some of them are beyond good. So I never like to go there immediately so I thought I would ask people who play her.
-
@Duke_Ragereaver said:
by throwaway account i mean a smurf, they could just be a stupid good nurse on a smurf.
That was my initial reaction, until I questioned her achievement of 1000 sacrifices in 47 hours.
Because she was only decent at best. That’s not to say she didn’t snowball in her previous matches, but that’s why I wanted to ask Nurse mains since I don’t play her, and I wanted to ask if this was possible.

What is a throwaway account?
@MadLordJack said:

20 minutes is unrealistic even if you included wait times. A good Nurse can (and if they want to, will) end trials in 5 minutes, and where I live I immediately get killer trials the moment I hit the ready button. So if we round that up to 8 minutes to take into account menu time and increase in wait time at low ranks, the number of potential trials comes out at 353, or 1,412 kills at 100% 4k's. That's more than enough for a scummy Nurse main's baby-bullying smurf account.
Which doesn't explain away the other bits.
Not that I am saying she is bad, because as I already stated she was decent. I can’t recall how long our match lasted but we got down to one gen. On top of that she slugged for the 4K (dunno why since she was also standing on top of hatch herself and the body was nowhere near).
Anyway, I can only speak for my match against her, but the whole thing was just very strange.
-
@Bennett_They1Them said:
I'd say probably a dummy account for a really good player, or a cheater. That's my first instinct, at least.
My first instinct was that they were just good during the match. Then she (the nurse) started to look like she was “hiding” the fact that she could somehow see us. It was very obvious. She would look around and stop, and then I thought she had whispers which she didn’t. It was very odd. XD
Anyway, then I thought we’ll maybe it is possible to get that many kills even on a smurf account? But no way do I think any other killer would be capable of doing this, but even 1000 kills in 47 hours seems like a stretch IMO.

I don’t remember what the old animations looked like 😳
-
Solo Q survivors also suck because they lack skill. Period.
I never see anyone mention how inefficient and just outright mindless some of them are. Not to mention go down in 2 seconds. None of which comms has anything to do with.
Sure, comms can ease some parts of the match and killer builds with hexes. But generally and individually good survivors are independent regardless of communication. I don’t need someone to tell me the hex is at shack, I have enough hours into the game that I know where to look… that’s just one example.
90% of the problems in soloQ have nothing to do with communication not being given to them, it has to do with what I stated above. They don’t touch gens for god knows what reason, they are too afraid to unhook the second they hear a TR. These are too common. So I don’t blame the devs for not thinking SWF is that far off from Solo when you put things into perspective.

A. I use they/them pronouns
B. I said I wasn't complaining.
:)
does that help?
You said it has lost you kills, and you proceeded to say that it should turn off if the killer downs someone else.
To me that sounds like you aren’t for how the current DS works now, while at the same time ignoring the fact that killers who camp will more than likely down someone else too.
I.E. A killer can force a trade by camping at their own leisure or simply because they feel they cannot pressure. So they hit the person doing the save, person then takes another hit and goes down, but saves the camped teammate. In that instance DS should stay active, because it is punishing the killer for not properly applying pressure, I don’t think deactivating DS then is fair.
So once again, the reason to me these types of threads sound like complaints is because many miss the mark on the fact that there are way too many scenarios in which the so called abuse comes from the other side to. Being with.

The rules are in place with regards to Naming & Shaming to protect everyone - it's very very easy to fabricate evidence in the form of video and then upload something to this forum to say it's fact. It's a lot harder when we require an in game report which our support agents can definitely access.
Yes we do care about the game and we do care about hackers/cheaters ruining the games for others, and we do frequently ban - we have a team of specific people who do just that. And with the amount of posts we get with regards to people complaining that they've been game banned, I'm actually surprised when people come out and say "they don't ban people" because we clearly do.
Maybe you should a monthly “ban” number of how many people were banned during that month. Maybe then people would believe lol 😂
I kid of course.

They... Weren't complaining though? They didn't post an aggressive, angry 20 word letter about how DS needs to be nerfed. They stated they had no issue with it - it was just costing them some hooks / kills and inquired if it should be tweaked. They weren't playing before the nerf, so they didn't experience the bs survivors would pull with DS and they ought to feel lucky as I do that I wasn't playing with the old old DS. I think I'd lose my mind if I had to do the dribbling.
Who said anything about being aggressive and angry? You don't have to be angry to make a complaint about something.
If he/she had no issue with it, then he wouldn't have posted about it. That is being passive aggressive.
"They weren't playing before the nerf, so they didn't experience the bs survivors would pull with DS and they ought to feel lucky as I do that I wasn't playing with the old old DS. I think I'd lose my mind if I had to do the dribbling."
Exactly. Hence my comment. Hence why I think it's hilarious that people still complain about this perk. Especially when it's counter is running rampant by the day.

I've been actively playing Twins lately, and I don't know how I feel about letting Victor roam around in AI form. I mean as an option? Maybe. Mandatory? I don't think so.
Sometimes leaving Victor stationary in a specific location can be strategic, especially if you suspect a survivor is nearby a specific objective, like a gen with a lot of progress etc.
I think what they need to change is the ability for survivors to crush Victor after downing someone with a successful pounce. Why? Because it feels like you are being punished for successfully landing an attack. If Victor misses, then I could see this being a thing. If they want to balance Victor by not allowing him to pounce immediately after, then survivors should also not be able to crush him, immediately following a successful pounce.
-
Imagine complaining about DS after being nerfed.
In the meantime, Camping and Tunneling still remain in the same broken state they have been in.
-
Giving free kills is a personal choice.
If you are doing it simply because you feel bad for someone, I can guarantee you many of them will just bring you to the gate. They want to learn the game not have kills be handed to them.

I never said camping that is a dumb tactic imo. Tunneling happens when gens go by so fast the killer has to remove a player to create pressure
This is not true.
Sometimes tunneling is a straight up mistake. You (as the killer) need to understand when to stop chasing the one person. The game was designed as a 4 v 1 which means that part of your job is to patrol generators.
Something which I know many don’t like to hear. Fact of the matter is if you cannot by any means take your eyeballs off that one person, what do you expect the other 3 survivors to do? Get Pom poms and start cheering for you until that person goes down?
Like, I’m not denying that tunneling can be a strat. You take 1 out earlier, the rest is a breeze. The problem is how long is it taking you to tunnel? There comes a point where you either have to look at your playstyle and perhaps ditch that if it’s not working.
-
Yes and one particular time it was glorious.
Picture this: One person on the hook about to hit struggle. You hear the rusty metal snap as a survivor steps in a trap right in front of them, meanwhile the next person tries to go for now both saves, and snap! Oh no! So now there’s two attempting their RNG with traps and person on hook watching it unfold infront of them. By this time I am already going back, so I get there, they both go down.
Claudette is the only one left she is way on the other side of the map. So I hear the sound of a gen getting finished followed by a “AHHH” …she steps in a trap immediately after finishing the gen lol
I felt really bad for them, but also thought it was funny because it just seemed like that match was doomed 😂
-
I love your name btw. 😳
Dweets melt my heart, but baby Dweets steal it. 😭
-
I am very very sorry for your loss. Take time to heal and know that it is ok to express your feelings and emotions. Your dog looks so precious in that photo by the way, he was lucky to have you.
Having lost my own fur baby last October I completely can relate to this.
I admire you for being brave and coming forth with this, but know that we are all humans and sometimes what life throws at us, we can only react to. As humans we also have compassion and understand one another, because you know that in more than one way, we have all experienced a time when it wasn’t our proudest moment.
I know these forums get crazy sometimes, and I can admit I am a work in progress myself. At the end of the day there are good people here too and I am sure they’ll more than understand what you are going through.
If you need an ear to listen, I’ll be the first one to say I’m here for you. ❤️
-
- Paying attention. Keeping an eye while being chased, so if a generator is being worked on, changing your path, so to not sandbag your fellow survivors.
- Understanding a specific tile. Able to read mind-games and killer movement.
- Understanding the importance of efficiency. Often times I feel this one is missed by a lot of survivors. They opt to heal or would rather save the one health state preventing a 99% gen from being completed.
So for me all those are some things that encompass being a skilled survivor. Something that even without the best build you can have a decent match.

Another one, i love it! Some one brought this up earlier or something similar so i am literally gonna copy, paste something here:
My earlier post:
So if i (who frequently plays at rank 1) have 3 perks, no matter what they are and NOED as the 4h perk, body (kill) the whole team with 1 or 2 gens left and get a Ruthless or Merciless killer I obviously didnt get to use my NOED because the team lost so what does THAT mean?
Another scenario, lets say i play a different killer with a similar build (having NOED) but this game all the gens are done and my NOED prox's you mean to tell me my "baby wheel" (so called crutch perk) determines how good or bad i am at the game?
***Since this person failed to answer my question(s) I've redirected (not surprised at all) them to you. I hope you wont dissapoint me like he did and actually respond
I’m not sure why you are inserting specific scenarios where you aren’t doing bad as killer. I am talking about specific killers who opted to camp (as an example) because they over committed something that is a known mistake and could easily cost you the match…so they camp as a result of their own mistake.
Why would I think that killer is good because they only got the one hook, and then NoEd gave them that extra hook they wouldn’t have otherwise gotten.
I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish with that question. I agree good killers can bring no Ed too, in fact I urge them to. So that I can at least be like, oh I don’t know surprised that they had it.
-
You know a killer can still be garbage and still win in the end right?
Yes I am in agreement that NoEd makes these killers look good in the end but you should know by now how it works by now.
Usually your first clue they will have No Ed is how bad they are doing and how poorly they patrol gens.
-
There are gay people that play this game? !?!

@ShinobuSK said:
Most survivors I play against are pretty good. So unless someone is really bad in the chase, there is no reason for me to think they are bad in the chase.
Yeah, I normally don’t even judge based on what they are wearing. However if I see a survivor urban evasioning while they crouch behind a tree, I’m gonna assume they aren’t looking to get in a chase.
So I guess its mostly me just thinking they are a baby survivor and perhaps thats what they want me to think. I’ve legit had people tell me they switched to default clothing to camouflage themselves as a baby survivor because they actually had a friend who was new and didn’t want to draw attention to them. Lol
-
What if you don’t have a main? 😭
Idk who I am anymore. 😳
-
Deathslinger.
-
Half of the time it is killer mains themselves swarming in those threads, so to me it’s silly to think survivors are the ones who keep those threads going. 😂
Survivors complain about spirit - Oh another spirit thread 🙄
Survivors don’t complain about spirit - but they have now moved on to the next killer 😱
It’s like either way they themselves are the ones who keep those posts alive.

What would you do if Dead Hard wasn't a thing? You'd immediately hit the Survivor no questions asked. Just the moment an opening is there, you'd lunge forward and whack the Survivor.
It's something you always have to keep in mind even if Dead Hard wasn't in play. You have to waste a second or two to bait the Dead Hard, and I don't think I need to tell you that a second is a lot more impactful than you think when it comes to a chase. It could be a second to reach a window, to reach a pallet, to escape in a safe zone.
Not to mention that it gives you distance which can further elongate a chase that could be 10-15 seconds long to over 40 if they get into a good tile. Dead Hard allows you to be GREEDY. It allows you to take risks while mitigating it. It changes how the Killer plays by giving the Survivor a second's grace period which can be crucial with dodging a hit.
Tell me, even with how inconsistent Dead Hard can be, how many times as a ranged Killer have you been screwed over by Dead Hard? Because I've personally been screwed by someone pressing E from a distance multiple times.
When you see someone have Sprint Burst, you can just leave them be or catch them again when they don't have it. Sprint Burst literally is signalling to the Killer that you can be downed immediately without hesitation. They know for certain you can't just Press E to get I-Frames and go for distance.
Yes, you can 99 them. I've said this before in the thread. But 99ing an Exhaustion Perk is never as viable or consistent as keeping your Dead Hard. You cannot keep them 99ed when doing a gen, you cannot keep them 99ed when positioning yourself to go for a flashlight/pallet save. You HAVE to use it at that moment. But you can do the same thing with Dead Hard, but without all of that hassle weighing you down.
Dead Hard doesn't carry bad survivors. Bad survivors will ALWAYS struggle even with all the meta perks carrying them. But Dead Hard on a good survivor can extend a chase way more than you need. A good survivor can keep a chase going even while injured. A better survivor can do it without getting injured.
I get that you think it's overrated because you can just "bait out the Dead Hard", but there's a reason that everyone runs this perk and why it performs leagues above the rest. That isn't a coincidence. People gravitate towards the options that gives them the biggest advantages. And Dead Hard is one of them.
I mean, the same thing can be said about Lithe, SB and BL.... "Oh there is a window there, I just remembered they had Lithe", "Working on a gen injured, Oh yeah they have SB, so they are going to commit".... etc etc. None of the exhaustion perks fall outside of that question you just asked, none. The only thing you are changing is the scenario in which they happen at.
You mention ranged killers, which the same rules apply. You can dodge a Nurse hit with DH, just as much as you can with SB. In fact, with SB is far worse (for nurse) because you can do it through 2 blinks.
You are never going to 100% know if someone has SB or not. Like the example above, this perk doesn't require positioning, because you can be in a very dead area and get to a safe area before the killer is close enough to get a hit. Something which DH doesn't have.
I also don't understand the notion that DH is "too" good on good survivors, but if the survivor has more experience with that exhaustion perk, that would....make sense? Some people despise being chased, so they hide well and they opt to have SB instead. Some people like to be chased more so they choose DH over any other perk. The logistics for exhaustion perks are very different IMO. So we can sit here and chat about scenario A/B/C/D/E and which one would be a better option. What I am not going to do is fault someone for being "too good" for a perk. Not when perks on the opposite side exist that would also be deemed too good on a more experienced killer.
The reason many people run Dead Hard (contrary to popular belief) is because many people like to engage in a chase. Because that is where they find fun in this game. They don't want to be the player holding M1 and hiding all the time. It is the only perk that efficiently works while looping, because if there were more I can guarantee you they'd be used as well.
-

Did you.. Not read my comment?
The very existence of Dead Hard changes how a Killer plays. And using it for distance can extend a loop far more than Sprint Burst could. You want to waste the Killer's time, not escape from them before you could.
I'm curious, how in the heck does Dead Hard change the way a killer plays? Does it have a passive effect we don't know about? lol
I literally tilt my head upward when playing killer when I'm right up their behind to bait out Dead Hard, meanwhile I see the baby Meg pauses for a second when she is about to go down only to sprint away.
-
Sprint Burst is way better, not only on the basis of IT ACTUALLY WORKS, but also you do not need to be injured to use it, and even when you are you are more safe to be injured with it than DH.
Players will never admit to this though because it seems as though Dead Hard is just more annoying to go against. They look at it from the chase value during a loop, when SB can basically make it so you are extending the chase from the start, rather than in the middle.
It seems to be another case of Annoying = Broken.
-
I hate this mentality.
If you are camping and tunneling because you think everyone is going to “harass” you at post match chat.
To me, that’s just as immature as the people making those comments.
Not everyone is like that, but this is DBD so you know it’s bound to happen at one point or another.
Not saying this excuses their actions, but I think it’s important to understand that you can only control you and your own actions, not theirs and certainly not what kind of player is playing against you.
-
I don't think there are any, because a lot of them are true. I main Dwight and I laugh at myself when I go into a locker. lol
Blendettes with self care in the corner of the map [check]
SoloQ survivors who have the capacity to fail more than an actual AI bot [check]
Dweets going into a locker b/c they were scared [check]
Neas macro flashlight clicking while they actually suck at getting flashlight saves [check]
These are things that I have personally seen a lot of in my time in DBD. I am sure everyone has their own list.
-
It would lose the element of surprise which is one of the things I don't hate about it.
The only thing that I personally feel needs to be changed is the way it is activated. If they want to keep the "once all generators are completed" version, at least add a 4 hooks requirement to it. So it doesn't feel like the killer can literally go afk and get it to proc, etc.
Otherwise I think No Ed is fine. It is suppose to pack a punch type of perk.
-
As a Mikey main, yes dedicated servers suck for him. Yes Spine Chill should not work against (at the very least) his T1. This would give him more grab/sneak potential.
All his balance discussion aside though, I hate that we have to talk about it from an angle where the game itself is making his experience more miserable. Like, it’s really sad that we have gotten to this point in this game where our criticism for how killer’s perform is being diminished by the game’s performance itself.
I really hope they consider a health patch. Then we can actually see more than just Michael’s stalk resolved, but also Plague’s vomit, grabs and other significant issues that plague the game currently.
-
This game has more bugs than the entire cast of A Bug’s Life.

That's my bad, misread that, thought you were talking old DS. I agree that it's fairly clear a survivor is trying to use DS when they're doing those kinds of things, and the proper counterplay would be to ignore them as killer (as much as you can, bodyblocking aside). I also agree that it's usually not going to be very effective against good killers, but I guess I'd argue that it fits the definition of using DS offensively, as the survivor can play quite a bit more recklessly than they otherwise would, knowing that they have protection. Having DS active basically allows them to force a choice on the killer - try to ignore the survivor A, and have them potentially extend a chase with survivor B by using flashlight blinds or bodyblocking, or go after the survivor A and eat the DS. Slugging survivor A also takes time and can extend the chase with survivor B. Whether or not it's an effective strategy, the survivor can still waste some of the killer's time doing this stuff if they really want to
I'm not sure any of this is even problematic at this point, I guess my only argument was that I've seen DS used offensively quite a bit. Not as much as in the past, but it does still happen
No worries sometimes context gets lost in these type of discussions.
Going back to your post, honestly I would rather the survivor who is just lingering around with a 60 second timer trying to get my attention so that, then have them go to a gen while they were injured. At least at that point I know what they are up to, and I don’t have to really look further. Which is one of the downsides of killer a lot, getting survivor location information.
Personally (and bringing it back to the original topic) I don’t believe perks like DS or BT can really change the game unless the opportunity presents itself. I have never as killer been “baited” to get hit with DS unless it was because I just wanted to tunnel that person and took it anyway. Because I’ll see them hop in a locker etc.
