  • Look at those gamer builds.

And guaranteed, dollars to donuts, they were the ones whining about Ruin/Undying until it was nerfed.

But those perks, those unearned second chances and rewards for failure. Those are fine.

Dead Hard users are trash at the game.

This is always happening, I play killer against swf with RedForest map offerings

so they abuse the right corner on the exit gates where a killer can’t hit or pick them up!

so i started to check if they ara a swf ps4 its kinda easy, and then as son as the match start I dc so they will lose the offering! Can I get banned fir this? Cause now i started to dc and get messages saying “Reported” all 4 survivors. otherwise i must afk and that sucks!! What do you guys think??

If survivors bring any map offering to my games, my game mysteriously crashes during loading. It's the craziest thing.

It's almost as if the game is saying "No. Only the entity chooses the map."

Seriously though - remind survivors how painful their queue times are, and why they should value their time more.

And it begins. They pissed and moaned about Undying/Ruin, so that synergy was gutted and not they're complaining about Devour, something that takes a lot of earning to even use. It never ends.

How about stop using your crutch meta, then you can complain.

Twins are strong if you don't mind playing very scummy. Trickster... I don't even know scummy playstyles that would be effective.

It's not scummy. It's playing the game. Just because survivors don't like something doesn't make it scummy. Let's get that straight.

Once a person with money to burn sues a streamer for any revenue gained off of a video they are in, twitch will be forced to address the issue. (I’m not a lawyer so maybe there is already a law shielding Amazon from such a thing, I don’t know)

That's never going to happen, and it can't happen. That would be abuse of copyright laws. Fair use is fair use.

    Increase the DC penalty.

I would double the existing penalty track. Also double the amount of bloodpoints the killer receives when they dc, so they get something out of having to deal with that.

Increasing the DC penalty isn't an option until they fix all the issues that force players to DC; and there are still many of them. Even one is too much. As well as game crashes, server disconnects on BHVR's end, etc.

The simple solution, and better solution, would be so hatch doesn't open on anything other than a sacrifice/death.

I think @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe might be talking about the integrity of oneself in the face of toxicity, not the general way one plays.

The point is, I play how I play. To win, which is fun for me. If I have to use a strategy or a tactic that the other side deems unfun, I'm well beyond giving a crap.

  • You can always pick out the boosted survivors - because they all say the game isn't survivor sided.

That's an immediate giveaway that, unfortunately, you're bad at survivor.

    Play however you want.

But if you want to be a fun vampire and make the game as miserable as possible as you can for the other side, don't tell yourself you're the good guy and you really got 'em that time, that'll show 'em for the crime of existing!

The least you can do is be honest.

I don't play to be "the good guy". I play to have fun, for myself, as I intended when I purchased the video game with my hard earned money. Winning, as it turns out, is fun for me.

  • Fun is subjective. I don't have fun going against survivors with running every second chance perk in the book. They don't care about how much fun I'm having. So I play for my own fun, as should everyone.

Fun for me is them dying.

Ds is not even such a big deal, I don’t get why people despise it so much. It’s literally 1 hard skill check that’s available once per match. Some many counter plays around it.

There's no counterplay to current DS.

Slugging is not a counterplay. "Not tunneling" isn't a counterplay when they're fully healed and doing a gen in your face with DS still available. Everything you said will only be true when the nerf happens.

Morf, Vinc3ntvega,Cahlaflour, Angrypug.. just to name a few

One thing you'll see as well - everyone leaving, with the exception of someone like ANGRYPUG who, love him or hate him, has a brilliant mind for the business of streaming (he's built his name on more than just DBD), will be back.

The fact is - Cahla, Vinc3nt, Morf, Tofu, basically everyone stepping away, have no real audience without DBD. Nobody wants to watch them play a different game. Hence why their view counts (numbers mean EVERYTHING) plummet when they aren't playing DBD. DBD is part of the package people followed/subbed for. Take that away, the package is incomplete.

  • Survivor has never been skillful, really.

    *Hold M1, hit skillcheck*

    *Run in circles around pallet*

    *Take hit*

    *Greed with dead hard*

    *Drop pallet*

    *Move to next loop*

    *Rinse and repeat*

*Complain if killer did anything to help them win*

    Survivor in a nutshell.

  • You'll notice most of them made the decision to move away when the DS nerf was announced and confirmed. (except for ANGRYPUG, who doesn't need DBD).

It's almost as if without their cocky offensive DS plays, their content isn't nearly as entertaining.

i dont agree why favor killer ? if you think you should always 4 k then you dont understand the game at all and also why favor Survivor ?

The answer is balance the game around 50/50 without swf (swf should separated)

Nobody is favoring killer. The game is survivor sided. It has been since the beginning; but what they are saying is survivor should be harder than it is. I don't think you get to tell someone they don't understand the game when you clearly don't either.

  • You see all the survivor mains at the top of the DBD twitch directory? There's your answer.

They teach them to use all the most crutchy perks/items/addons possible, and also teach them that those things make them good at the game. They also teach them "anything killer does is boring, but you're a survivor so nothing you do can be boring".

They also teach them to DC on Slinger, Spirit, Freddy...basically any killer they refuse to adapt their playstyle to.

It's not apparently 🙄 if we started fixing gens then we're gen camping 🤷‍♀️ so we're only allowed for be camped on a hook or chased, gen fixing not allowed 😂

Whoever said "gen camping" is being nonsensical. But at the same time, if you question why camping is allowed, so are you.

Saying "you're shouldn't allowed to camp" is like saying "you should only be allowed to repair 1 generator every 3 minutes as a team".

Just stop it. It's a dumb complaint, and shows how new you are to the game.

  • It's not that killers "expect a 4k". It's that killers expect that if they didn't get a 4k, they were outplayed.

You didn't outplay me by Dead Harding for distance to a god window or strong pallet. You didn't outplay me by running Unbreakable after you played like trash and got knocked down. You didn't outplay me by using an exhaustion perks to extend chases, artificially, with no skill of your own, to waste my time. You didn't outplay me by only escaping because you had DS at 59 seconds, while you were fully healed and working on a generator.

I should mention - killers have their crutches too. No doubt about that - but the difference between survivor and killer crutches is, every single survivor crutch with the exception of like..head on, is a get out of jail free card. They didn't have to earn it. In many cases, it was given to them as a reward for failure (such as DS, Unbreakable, or Dead Hard). Every single killer "crutch" has to be earned in some way, except for NOED.

Pop? Requires a hook to activate. Ruin? Requires the killer to actually pressure generators.

  • How is repairing generators allowed?

  • Same issue here. I've killed more than enough of each survivor. None have unlocked.

    @Peanits @not_Queen

  • Freddy is only good against bot survivors.

So, the ones complaining that he needs a nerf...bot spotted.

  • Dead Hard.

Nothing worse than chasing a survivor and having them Dead Hard for distance (when done for distance, there is no counter, whether you know they have it or not) to a strong vault or pallet, when they should have gone down before they got to that vault/pallet. They keep the chase going through no skill of their own, artificially, by pressing a button and holding W.

When I get outplayed, I like to actually be outplayed.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realise that Hex perks also deactivated after X amount of seconds, even if you don't get to use it.

That doesn't apply to the statement you made. You said "if killers would choose not to tunnel". That inherently doesn't have anything to do with DS. You said "give survivors a chance to play the game".

While DS does go away after 60 seconds and then you can get a chance to use it again if you chose not to use it, a hex perk can be destroyed in what..15 seconds? and it's just gone.

Don't go down that road. You'll be destroyed.

Ah yes the whataboutisms. There always one of you in every thread

Hate to see. Plus, the comparison isn't even valid. Killers require (according to the game) 12 hooks, if you don't plan to camp, and there's only one killer to do that job.

Survivors require 5 generators, and there's 4 of them to do that job.

  • @indieeden7 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2035749#Comment_2035749

Or the killer could just choose not to tunnel, give the survivor with DS active a chance to actually play the game and by the time they get found again, will no longer have it. Umless of course they were acting as a detriment to the team by not doing anything productive.

Why are killers required to "give survivors a chance" to do anything? Their objective is literally to kill you, by any means necessary.

Are you going to spawn in next to our hex totem and "give us a chance to use it?" Are you going to spawn in with all 3 of your team mates with prove thyself and "give us a chance to find you" before you complete a gen?

    Imagine being that entitled.

  • If I'm missing my BBQ stack? Slug.

Not really because when they do it i stop playing. Its waste of my time so i usually get them to hook me and move on to hopefully a better game. There is no reason to tunnel at 5 gens...

Now imagine if killers stopped playing because you did a generator.

There's no reason to do gens. It's not like it's your objective or anything.

It is not the killers job for you to have fun. Nobody likes to lose. The killers job is to kill the survivors. It's in the name. Shame killers for taking every advantage when survivors stop running every second chance crutch in the book.

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2033139#Comment_2033139

    So you're saying:

    1. At the highest skill level, survivors and especially SWFs have a huge advantage. That it's not possible to win as a killer at the highest level.
    2. You can only win as killer by beating players far below your skill level, and therefore the game is only bearable with the broken matchmaking we've had for the past x years.
    3. Actual SBM has shown this to be true, and therefore has turned the game into an unfair, unwinnable mess.

But your conclusion is: "Scrap SBM!"

Rather than "Actual SBM has highlighted balancing errors so that they can be addressed"?

The issue is, it's impossible to measure true skill in this game.

Your average killer is running a build full of slowdowns, and your average survivor is running a build full of second chances, BNP toolboxes and instaheals (not exaggerating, 4/5 toolboxes these days are actually BNPs). Are they good at the game if they were carried by their builds? Is a survivor good at the game if they led a 3 gen chase? Maybe. But what if they dropped every pallet on the map in that 3 gen chase? Now there's 2 gens left and no pallets. Good luck, survivors.

Is a killer bad because they chose a stealth killer and got put on blood lodge, with every survivor having spine chill? Are the survivors better because they knew the killer was coming from a radius even larger than any terror radius in the game? Are the survivors better because they used their Spine Chill to hide?

Skill is IMPOSSIBLE to measure. During the MMR test, I was going against perks, not survivors. That's the problem. I have no problem being legitimately outplayed - but I want to FEEL outplayed. Not outperked.

I mean, it's no more boring than DS/UB/DH/IW every game on the survivor side. Freddy is an M1 killer at the end of the day. Adapt.

Oh wait, survivors don't adapt. I forgot.

  • It doesn't need a buff, and this is more of a fix than a nerf. It doesn't need any counter buff. It's sole purpose, now, is to counter tunneling. It does that just fine.

You are not being tunneled if you're doing anything to further your objective. Period, end of story.

    @HuDawg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2035163#Comment_2035163

But if you have ds at the start of the match and you spawned next to a gen and repair it does ds turn off?

You don't have DS at the start of the match. It activates when you're unhooked. If you touch a gen after you're unhooked, yes, DS goes away. Which it should. Under no circumstances should you be invincible and able to work on your objective.

Anyone complaining about this nerf knows that they now actually have to get good at the game, instead of forcing offensive plays with DS and acting like they're good.

  • Playing to win isn't rude.

Telling a killer they are being rude because they tunneled is like telling survivors they are rude for doing gens.

As for the "hits I deserved" nonsense - survivors out there be acting like they weren't going to die anyway. Desync or not.

The majority of survivors are trash. That's not meant to insult. I genuinely mean it. The average survivor is largely low "quality" in terms of ability.

  • @Ryan489x said:

Except the DS nerf will make it even easier to tunnel, and survivor can't do anything to help the team. That's a major change (killer buff).

Nor should they be able to do anything to help the team while also being invincible in the process. DS will be there to stop a killer from tunneling. If you were working on your objective, in no way, shape or form, is it fair to say the killer "tunneled". Just no.

You can't work on your objective and then whine when the killer does theirs in turn.

Because I usually play so that everyone can enjoy the game. Removing someone from the game without even giving them the possibility to do a gen, a totem, unhook their teammates or whatever else the game has to offer, feels wrong to me.

This is my personal decision, I know that you technically CAN tunnel if you want, and I also know that many survivors are little shits who don't care about the game being fun for the killer. But I'm trying to be kind, and not do what I hate being done to me if that makes sense.

Also, I often find that being kind to others makes them be kind to you in return, like a couple of days ago, when I let a console Meg escape through the gates, and one of the dead survivors told me she was his wife, thanked me for letting her escape and wished me good luck in the rest of my matches. Or when I decide to farm with survivors because one of their teammates DC'd, and they give me free kills when the match ends in return. It's those little things :)

That first statement right there is your problem.

I don't remember the last time I bought a game like Call of Duty or some other game where I go against other people on literal opposite teams and thought "Man, I hope I can make this fun for the other team!".

Survivors ultimately don't play so killers can enjoy the game. They don't give a ######### if you have a good time. All they want to do is emulate their favorite streamer who whines about killer builds while using every second chance in the book, and thinks dead hard takes "skill" while NOED should be nerfed.

Stop regarding survivor feelings. Play to win.Your job is to kill them. That's your objective. It's literally in the name. "Killer".

Trust me, you'll have more fun when you play for YOUR fun, and not theirs. You don't owe them a good time.

  • I'm just excited to throw piss at survivors.

You’re right I do remember getting a message on Xbox and I quote “imagine unironically playing clown🥱”. People like to complain about these killers because they see them a skilless because they can counter looping.

Killers are in the same bucket though considering they complain about exhaustion perks(except dead hard complaints there are warranted) And some even camp people who loop them too long.

If you want an example of the opposite of those survivors watch jaee

I think exhaustion overall is a problem. I'm in favor of bloodlust being removed, but if that happens, exhaustion needs reworking.

Killers have to earn basically every effect they get from a perk. Yes, even with ruin/undying. Ultimately, they DO have to chase people off the gen, and can only pressure one gen at a time. The effect is completely absent if pressure isn't happening. Only exception is NOED (which ironically is one of the most complained about perks, because "the killer didn't earn it").

Look at the entire survivor meta. Almost none of it is "earned", and the much of it is literally a reward for failure (being hit, going down, being hooked etc).

  • @Phasmamain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1895450#Comment_1895450

There is some truth to this but to be fair to them if your facing a slinger or a spirit your skill might as well be meaningless in that chase

Doctor is an anti loop killer done right as playing him effectively requires skill and survivors who play well can loop him

Whatever the case - that doesn't stop the fact that people also whine about LITERALLY every killer with anti loop, because anything that goes against the "run in circles, greed pallet, take hit, run in more circles, dead hard for distance, run in more circles, finally drop pallet" is boring.

  • DS exists. Unbreakable exists. Power Struggle exists. Dead Hard for Distance is a thing.

But yes, let's nerf NOED. The one killer perk that could even come close to considered a "crutch" on it's own, and also happens to be the most counterable perk in the video game.

  • Survivors only want weak killers in the game

There's actually truth to this statement.

Not every survivor mind you, but a seeming majority of them. You can even go to the top survivor main streamers on twitch. You know the ones - the elite clique who "swear they play killer off stream", but never on stream...and then talk about how they never play DBD off stream because they hate the game so much. Most of the survivor community bases their opinions on what these "super good (but not really, and I'll explain why later)" players say about the game.

The pattern is - any killer with any level of danger OR anti loop (anti loop being the big one) is considered "boring". But golly, if you go into a game as Wraith, you're considered "wholesome" because you're basically looked at as bending over for a rectal thrashing of a lifetime.

Clown - the current weakest killer in the game (on most peoples tier lists) is complained about. Why? Not cause he's fast, not cause he's OP...but because he has bottles that cause hindered status, forcing medium vaults. AKA, anti loop. Same with Slinger, Freddy, Hag, Trapper, Bubba (to an extent), Huntress, Doctor, Pyramidhead etc. All of them have decent anti loop. All of them are considered "boring" by a majority of the influencers in the community, and the majority of the community by association.

Why do I say these people "aren't that good"? Take away their Dead Hard, or other exhaustion, and they drop faster than McGregor. Blood Echo is a wonderful thing.

  • Because I get more bloodpoints for escaping than I do for likely dying to save you.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

On top of everything else I despise about Hag, why is this add on still in the game?!

It just absolutely blows my mind to no end that so many survivors complain about the most tedious of killer issues, and yet so many absurdly unfun, unfair aspects of Hag keep flying under the radar.

Why has Hag not been look at yet?!

Why has she still not had an add on pass?!

Why is her counterplay still absolute BS?!

Once you know she has Rusty Shackles...it's basically useless unless you're flat out bad at survivor.

They purposely avoided a chase to go back to hook and said "i don't want to loop"

If that's not camping idk what is

So what if it was camping? Camping isn't against the rules (survivor rules don't count and I wipe my ass with them). It was also the smart play.

He had multiple people baiting a chase. If you include the person on the hook, that's a minimum of 3 people not on generators. With 3 gens left. That's called free pressure, handed to him on a shiny silver platter by the survivors. They had no one to blame but themselves. They gave the killer no reason to leave.

But sure. Let's blame the killer cause "He wAs CaMpInG". We're not your babysitters. We exist to murder you. That's literally our objective.

    Yep

If you start amatch then be ready to play it instead of running away and leaving, pretty sure you are the type of player who disconects, so I would mark you as a bad player in my book. And since I paid for my game by your logic I shouldn't be subject to bad players who disconnect since players who do ruin 3 other players experience, you can also whine about it when you pay for my time, that you ruined when you disconected, and running from a match just because you don't like how other people play is not a ''legitimate death'' if you run away from your the slightest of challenges is cowardice...

I've not had a single disconnect penalty that hasn't been caused by a server disconnect or game crash; but you seem like the type of player to not be a useful team mate, and make solo survivors not want to be in that match.

1 … 17 18 19 20 21 … 23
