Damn, just bought clown recently... Oh well, at least the rest of the DLC is free lol
-
I dunno man, I still enjoy him quite a bit. His rework hasn't really affected my playstyle with him at all honestly. I'm still performing just as well, if not better, than before his rework
-
I deserve all of the hate I may get for this, but Three Finger from Wrong Turn. Watching the series just feels like a funhouse inside of a burning dumpster fire, but I love it for some reason
-
I admit I haven't even seen the movie (yet) but if what a coworker told me about it is true, a Strangeland chapter would be cool. I could see some really cool killer cosmetic opportunities as well
That being said, I don't see it happening
-
Not a full build, but pairing agitation with lightborn is really fun when you see flashlights in the lobby. Could use other speed boosting perks as well I suppose. Down someone, pick them up while baiting an attempted flashlight save, then quickly attack and possibly down a second survivor 🎃
-
In concept it's fine, but the fact that a survivor can see exactly what the killer is doing is the issue. They can warn their team when and where traps are set, when Billy's revving up his saw and in which direction, etc... All while being nowhere near the killer, or before the killer is even aware that they're being watched.
I'd rework it so that the survivor and killer see a red blip instead of a full aura. That way the perk still serves its function but doesn't completely expose either the killer or survivors actions.
-
To be honest, I don't really dislike playing against any killers in particular. I like having to consider their power and what I need to change in my playstyle to counter it
-
Killer because:
1. I like first person POV
2. It kind of reminds me of working in haunted houses... Except in DBD I actually get to hit people with my weapons 🎃
3. I feel it's easier to interact with survivors if I'm trying to meme than vice versa
4. Switching killers allows me to use a multitude of different playstyles whereas survivor is pretty much just stealth or not really stealth... If that makes sense
5. Killer is more intense and keeps me far more engaged than survivor
All that being said, I don't dislike playing survivor either - I probably play 65% killer, 35% survivor overall
-
Wait, was that match against Pig on MacMillan Estate??? And were you playing as Dwight? Because that sounds almost exactly like how one of my matches went this week...
-
I can only imagine how pissed off the entity is with the pig. Like, all it takes for the pig to disobey the entity was a boop on the snoot lol

Anybody here try to have a low rank boop the snoot and they don’t understand what’s going on? 😂
I had this baby Dweet once who kept hiding and running away and I just kept following him while doing mini growls. 😭
Yes, literally same thing happened to me with a Dwight 😂 the other three were just having fun crouching with me and doing random stuff, meanwhile Dwight's over here got like 4 gens started on his own until I run up on him 😂😂😂 I'm roaring for a boop and me and the other survivors chased him for a while. Eventually someone started up the last gen, I downed him, put a trap on his head then the other survivors started teabagging and I felt bad... So I carried him to the exit gate hoping he'd get the hint - I'm not entirely sure if he did or not but they all took turns working on the exit gate as I grabbed them off it and put traps on their heads. Opened the gate for them but only Dwight crawled out while the rest let the entity take them... I miss my friends from Ormond...
-
If you're into metalcore at all, Ice Nine Kills' album The Silver Scream is all about classic slasher movies. They've got songs about Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, FT13, etc... It's a fun album! Just thought I'd share since the topic is about music lol
-
The only thing I could think of is Beetlejuice might have been laying on the hatch as you struggled on hook. In that scenario I would've let myself die in case they were waiting for the hatch to open up.
Other than that, you played a good game in my opinion
-
Are you sure she DC'd? Her death may have been staged by some greater power to make it look like she DC'd herself... Surely you've heard of the infamous "bad wifi" that's been claiming victims over the years...
-
Well..
-
Playing Myers one time on Thompson House I found some survivors working on the upstairs gen while I was outside the house. I popped T3 and went in the house. As I'm on the first floor, I believe it was a Meg that dropped down right in my face (probably thought I was upstairs and popped T3 right behind them). Scared the sh*t outta me and probably her as well when I downed her as she dropped from the second floor 😂
-
Sorry... I had to...
-
I've noticed it. My biggest issue now is I'll have a survivor point blank and swing at them, they 360 or just turn, I miss, then suddenly they're nowhere in sight. It's a total mindf*ck and I don't know what happened. Doesn't happen EVERY time, but still a very noticeable amount and it never seemed to be an issue in my matches before
-
Yeahhh I bought into the last couple passes and ended up buying into this one pretty fast as well. Kinda regret doing it now... More of an impulse move than desire

Same thing if a survivor tries to bait locker DS right next to a hooked teamate. Why would I leave in that situation?
This is especially fun when you're playing trapper lol. Trap the locker and they can't leave it without going down
-
I went out of my way NOT to tunnel a survivor who was just really bad at hiding and kept running into me over and over and still got post-match salt. Thought they were a newbie, but ended up being in purple ranks. After a few messages, I just said "I straight up ignored you half the match - how much help do you need?" And was simply told to F*ck off lol. Maybe not so much a roast, but I thought it was funny regardless
-
Still here. Only reason I don't play him as much is cause I started branching out to new killers more. But yeah, he's hardly any different in my opinion. I'm still having just as much success as before his update
-
Hell yeah! Simple stuff like saving people from the hill glitch or stop struggling with that hook glitch when the killer is obviously being affected by it were just some small things that taught me this community still has some good apples somewhere
-
I still play him quite a bit, and still have just as much success as before his update. He hardly feels any different to me, honestly

Spies from the Shadows!
From what I’ve read on the forums, Whispers seems to be far more popular than Spies, which I why I posted about it on this thread. I’ve tried Whispers a few times, but could never get much value from it. Prolly just my play style, but Spies works so much better for me!
I like Spies because:
- It helps you pinpoint where survivors are (as opposed to Whispers which just gives you an area to search in.)
- If they mindgame you and run off in a different direction from where you’re looking, the birds can redirect you.
- If they run through a bunch of birds, it’s almost as good as seeing auras as you can literally watch the progression of their movements.
- Survivors don’t seem to even realize or care that they’re scaring crows most of the time. Even if not being chased, they’ll walk right past multiple crows which can alert you to a lurker.
- If you’re lucky enough to get Hawkins while you have Spies equipped, well...... 😈 Let’s just say it gives scratched mirror Myers a run for his money!
- Its highly versatile in seeking, chasing, mind-gaming, and maintaining an overall higher situational awareness (Like if another is nearby to try a flashlight save, for example.) To this point, I see Whispers as only helping with seeking.
Anyway, that’s it off the top of my head, though there have been a great many situations that it’s been vital for me!
Spies is a great perk. Used to run it on Billy quite often and once it would go off, I'd rev my saw walking the opposite direction and turn around toward them at the last second. Got a fun saw hit a few times, but if nothing else, I imagine I gave the survivor a scare lol
-
I get bored with loops personally, whether I'm playing survivor or killer. I try to get rid of the pallet fast and whether or not I continue the chase depends on if the survivor is already injured as well as how much distance they gained after the pallet. If it's a wall or the shack I'll stick around to see if I can play some mindgames but I like to keep pressure on gens before pressure on one survivor unless I'm in a really good spot and can spare the time. I just wish survivors had more viable strategies to run away, or at least a more enjoyable experience when looping. It just feels like a chore to me.

Ah! So cool! You're my corn-maze idol! ❤️
I never thought I'd feel so appreciated for chasing people with a chainsaw 😂 if I ever open my own haunted house (me and some friends are just about 100% in on this idea) I'm gonna remember Buttercake from the DBD forums 🖤

is that your natural sweat on your shirt??☺️
thats awesome you get to be a Billy/Bubba in a corn maze! 🙂
When I go to mazes the players all seem over-it and I never have any fun....i wish they hired cool people like you.
Partially sweat, partially "gas" lol...
I use a gas can as a water bottle, so after chasing people down my corn trail they get to watch me take a big sip of gas at the end. You'd actually be surprised how many people don't assume it's just water 😂

I was playing pig on Ormond and saw a survivor in the distance almost immediately when the match started.. They motioned for me to come over and didn't run away. I crouched, suspecting they must want to boop the snoot - I was right! We ran around chasing other survivors together until they realized what was going on and then three of the four had booped me by now. I crouched in front of a generator to help them, and we did it! We started the generator and I started doing the pig noises and moving my camera all around in celebration. They stopped doing gens and just ran around having fun - except for the Dwight. He didn't seem to know I was trying to be his friend and just kept running away. I got close time and time again and snorted for a boop, but he kept on running and dropping pallets. Eventually I got upset and downed him, planning to hook him. The other survivors started tbagging him as I was putting a trap on his head when I had a change of heart and carried him to the exit gate instead. After a while somebody helped him up, and then they went and did the last generator. I downed them all at the gate because they weren't opening it. I ended up opening it for them but they didn't wanna leave me, they just stayed and crawled toward me wherever I went. I wanted them to live, but they wanted to be with me... I miss my friends at Ormond...
-
I would like it better if it was a deeper growl kind of sound. A little off-topic but I ran chainsaw for a haunted house for three years and dabble in doing some metal vocals as well. I decided to combine the two and would let out a low growl before starting my saw and running out of the cornfield at guests. It worked surprisingly well! I think that'd make Billy's yell a little more appealing if it's not removed

I feel like an add-on where you can power up one generator in order to activate all traps on survivors at the time would actually be really interesting. It seems counterproductive at first, but then considering you could force survivor groups into more difficult gen setups in the late game, activate traps whenever you want (at the cost of one gen to keep some balance) and go patrol jigsaw boxes instead of gens, possibly leading to a kill. That would add an interesting strategy to use with pig and hopefully make the traps a little bit more effective
-
Speaking of DC's I had an interesting match tonight... Playing Billy, one survivor went afk as soon as I got my first hit and stayed afk for the rest of the match. I left them alone after they got unhooked in case they'd come back, but they were unhooked pretty much right in my face, and the Jake decided to sabotage the hook right in my face. Got an easy down on him, and he DC'd. Just a few seconds later I see scratch marks. I followed them straight to a locker, so of course I checked the locker - pulled out a Feng (if I remember correctly) and another instant DC. Now I'm getting a bunch of messages during the match, and I think these pics should tell you the rest lol
-
"Death is not an escape... But you can always just DC instead"
-
@BigTimeGamer said:
it would need to be approved by ST owners and Bethesda, which i highly doubt
Yeah, I'm really not optimistic about it actually happening. I was just thinking about ways they could make the Demogorgon more appealing and had to share my thoughts lol
-
I'll always be holding onto hope for Jason. A Camp Crystal Lake map would be tricky, but if done right I think it could be super cool. And of course Tommy Jarvis would make a good survivor to finish off the chapter.
I'd love a chapter for Candyman, Pinhead, or Jack Torrance as well
Edit: I'd be all for Jeepers Creepers also
-
Jason. I know it's ambitious right now, but I think a Crystal Lake chapter would be fun as hell
-
Typically I'd say 10-15 minutes; that being said, one of the most fun games I've played literally lasted about 45 minutes... Tons of back and forth momentum for both sides while I tried introducing a friend to the game
-
I think a look and name that stand out as well as a primary weapon/method of killing are three of the biggest things when it comes to the villains identity. For examply, almost everyone can match the hand knives with Freddy, knife with Ghostface or Myers, machete with Jason, and chainsaw with leatherface. Build a backstory to your character whether it's tragic, terrifying, happy, whatever. People want that; just look at dbd and how they incorporated stories about all of their characters - they didn't need to, but they knew some people would love it if they did.
Think about the vibe you want your character give off. Are they supposed to be like Voorhees or Myers where they don't talk and just walk the whole time? Or do you want them fast and sprinting after their victims? You probably don't want a guy who looks similar to Myers sprinting after people, that would just look funny. Then look up Three Finger from the Wrong Turn series if you're not already familiar - because of his appearance he'd look really funny if he wasn't fast-paced and high energy. Not that the Wrong Turn series isn't already funny regardless... 😂
Lastly, LOCATION! I think this one is really overlooked, but you can't mention Camp Crystal Lake without thinking of Jason, or Haddonfield without Myers, Springwood without Krueger.... Even a lot of killers in dbd have a map that's supposed to be their own. Think about it, would be afraid of Jason as is - but put them in Camp Blood and now he's actually a threat. It's like you get a whole second tier to work with, and you can really work with how scary that villain will be simply based on where other characters are at.
So all in all, I think you should really try to match your villain's appearance to a name, a backstory, and a location at the bare minimum. I also think Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon could be a valuable movie for you to watch. You'll probably figure out more about classic slasher movies as a whole than you will about the villains themselves, but overall the movie is a great experience. Good luck!

Yeah. I feel kinda bad for dodging, but let's be real, going up against a shite ton of toolboxes really isn't fun.
And if this isn't fun, why play, ya dig?
Yeah man, like I said, I do get it. I just choose not to anymore for the sake of time mostly

Demo is blind. So are the creatures
Guess I wasn't aware of demo being blind... Makes sense that I've never seen its eyes 😂
-
I used to get so frustrated going against 3-4 man swf groups, if 3 or 4 people all popped into the lobby at the same exact moment I'd dodge... But not anymore. I just find lobby dodging annoying now and I'd rather play a miserable game than wait another ten minutes to fill a lobby. As survivor (99% of the time I play solo) if I'm planning on bringing a toolbox but two other people bring a toolbox I'll just unequip mine cause most killers see that and feel like they're gonna get screwed with 3+ gens in five minutes... So they just leave the lobby.
I get why people lobby dodge but it's still just annoying
-
Aren't the creatures in A Quiet Place blind?

Please correct if I'm wrong but isn't Leslie basically a Killer in training? It definitely sounds like a very fun movie.
Essentially, yes. It's been a while so I don't remember 100% on the details, but I believe he spent time studying killers like Jason, Freddy, Myers, etc... and had this desire to obtain a legacy like them. So he's kind of a student under another killer whose name I can't remember right now. But the movie basically walks you through the basics around classic slasher movies and morphs into its own story at the end after you see him set up his entire plan. Definitely worth watching!

Phantom killer (The Town That Dreaded Sundown)
Harry warden (My bloody valentine)
Leslie Vernon (Behind the mask)
Leslie Vernon would be awesome. Behind the Mask is such a fun movie. I'd be super happy with any of these three killers.
-
I like it better than the clown
-
I like this. Even as killer when I see someone try to farm a teammate I let the unhooked person go and get the idiot who unhooked them in front of my face.
Unless they were teabagging or clicking a flashlight at me before I hooked them, then I don't feel bad getting an easy down on them both lol
-
But it's not impossible to escape.. I've done it multiple times as survivor as well as had the last survivor do it multiple times while I was killer. I dunno, personally I like where they're at. You just have to time it right. Makes the ending of the match that much more intense too
-
Map: The Room
-
Nah man, spies is a great perk, but results in being accused of camping too often. When I play spirit and hook someone, if spies goes off I'll start phasing in one direction and literally just circle back to the hook and get an easy down on someone unhooking. Happens way too often, so I get accused of camping. But I'd be an idiot to just run away.
That being said, no I don't tunnel the person who just got unhooked. That'd just be a dick move lol
